Multi-source vessel automatic identification system (AIS) data gathered in the maritime Internet of Things (IoT) system has diverse data characteristics, such as sparse satellite data and terrestrial receiver's limited coverage. However, it is challenging for the maritime IoT system to provide efficient and accurate intelligent trajectory prediction services while applying multi-source AIS data. Therefore, improving the adaptability and accuracy of vessel trajectory prediction methodologies adapted to varied AIS datasets is essential to enhancing marine traffic safety and transportation efficiency. This study proposes an adaptive data fusion (ADF) model based on multi-source AIS data for predicting vessel trajectories in maritime traffic. The same marine mobile service identifier (MMSI) and timestamp fuse the multi-source AIS data. Deep learning methods are employed to perform feature learning and increase adaptability. This study also utilizes adjacency distance to enhance the correlation between dataset trajectory trajectories. Finally, we validate the benefits of the ADF model using actual terrestrial and satellite AIS data along the west coast of the United States (US). Regarding average RMSE and MAE, the ADF model reduces the prediction error by 46.51% and 52.7% when fusing multi-source historical trajectories compared to current studies. Introduction: Bacterial vaginitis (BV) is a common vaginal disease. Vitamin E has been shown to reduce BV by enhancing immune function, but no studies have analyzed the relationship between vitamin E and BV at different BMIs and ages., Method: This study used 2242 participants from four cycles of NHANES 1999-2006 in American. Participants' vitamin E levels were divided into four groups, and analyses such as study population description, stratified analysis, multiple logistic regression analysis, and curve fitting were performed. To perform data processing, the researchers used the statistical package R (The R Foundation; http://www.r-project.org ; version 3.6.3) and Empower Stats software ( www.empowerstats.net , X&Y solutions, Inc. Boston, Massachusetts)., Result: The concentrations of serum vitamin E were negatively correlated with the risk of BV, especially when vitamin E were at 1198-5459ug/dL with (OR = -0.443, 95%CI = 0.447-0.923, P = 0.032) or without (OR = -0.521, 95%CI = 0.421-0.837, P = 0.006) adjustment for variables. At the same time, at lower levels, there was no significant association. Vitamin E supplementation may significantly reduce the risk of BV (p < 0.001). In addition, the risk of having BV decreased and then increased with increasing vitamin E concentrations at high BMI levels (p < 0.01)., Conclusion: Vitamin E at moderate to high concentrations may significantly reduce BV risk, says the study, providing clinical evidence for the prevention and the treatment of BV., (© 2024. Introduction: Role of surgery in the management of de novo stage IV breast cancer (BC) remains controversial. We aimed to determine the survival benefit of primary surgery on the basis of metastatic pattern., Materials and Methods: A retrospective cohort study based on the SEER database was conducted to identify patients with de novo stage IV BC diagnosed between 2010 and 2015. Patients were divided into surgery and non-surgery group, and propensity score weighting was used to balance clinicopathologic factors between groups., Results: Of 8142 de novo stage IV BC patients, 1891 (23%) cases were managed with surgery and 6251 (77%) cases were managed without surgery. There were 3821 all-cause deaths and 3291 BC specific deaths over a median follow-up of 22 months. The weighted 3-year overall survival (OS) for the surgery group was 54.5%, compared to 47.7% (P < 0.001) for the non-surgery group. The magnitude of the survival difference with surgery was significantly correlated with metastatic patterns (P interaction <0.05). Significant survival improvements in surgery group compared with non-surgery group were observed in patients with bone-only metastasis (adjusted HR = 0.83, P < 0.05) or multiple metastases with bone involved (adjusted HR = 0.76, P < 0.05), whereas survival inferiority of surgery was found for patients with multiple visceral organs-only metastases (adjusted HR = 2.08, P < 0.05)., Conclusion: The survival benefit offered by surgery for de novo stage IV BC varies by metastatic patterns. Pure breed dogs of Western origin are increasingly more popular in China as is a need to differentiate breeds and individual dogs for personal and forensic reasons. Research on genetic diversities of the canine population in China is rarely conducted. In this study, genetic distributions and forensic efficiencies of 19 canine STR loci in Labrador Retriever population from China were evaluated by using one available commercial canine kit in China. This panel was used to genetically define 214 Labrador Retrievers in China, as an example of one of the most important Western breeds and to compare them with Labrador Retrievers from America based on three overlapping STR loci. Moreover, genetic relationship analyses between Labrador Retriever population and two reference populations in America were performed. All 19 STR loci were polymorphic and conformed to Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium in the studied population. The STR panel was able to discern individual dogs with a high degree of accuracy. Breed-wide genetic heterozygosity comparisons based on present and published allele frequencies revealed that the studied population had the lower genetic heterozygosity than canine populations in America. Principal component analysis among Labrador Retriever population and other reference populations showed that the studied Labrador Retrievers were genetically close to the retriever breeds in America. Population genetic structure analyses among these canine breeds further revealed genetic differentiations between the studied Labrador Retriever population and other compared breeds. In conclusion, these STR loci had relatively high forensic values in Labrador Retriever population in China, which could be employed for individual identification and kinship testing.
