The article presents a study on the characterization of the cadmium-binding of chlorella vulgaris. Algae and other aquatic possess the capacity to take up toxic trace metals from their environment, resulting in an internal concentration greater than those of the surrounding waters. Chlorella vulgaris is a unicellular chlorophyceaen. Chlorella vulgaris obtained from Carolina Biological Supply Co. was cultured in Briston solution under light intensity of 2000-3000 lux using cool fluorescent light. Large fitted with sterile filters attached to aeration tubings.
