Research background: Although agricultural competitiveness is not a new topic, it is worth noting that it has recently come back to the attention of researchers due to various factors such as climate change, food security, price uncertainty, or structural transformation. Consequently, a growing number of articles have emerged on this subject, leading to shifts in overarching research trends and the structure of research within this domain. Purpose of the article: This study aims to facilitate a comprehensive understanding of the research constituents within the field of agricultural competitiveness. Additionally, it seeks to unveil the intellectual and cognitive frameworks spanning the years 1990 to 2022. This exploration will enable the identification of thematic clusters that both shape and guide the field, shedding light on current research trends. Methods: This research employs bibliometric analysis, specifically employing performance analysis and science mapping techniques like bibliographic coupling and co-word analyses. These tools are harnessed to scrutinize the constituents of research and the underlying intellectual and cognitive structures inherent to the agricultural competitiveness field. A dataset of 622 articles from the Web of Science database was subjected to analysis using the VOSviewer software. Findings & value added: The findings prominently illustrate a notable surge in research activity within this domain, with a substantial proportion of articles originating from the United States. The study further identifies six distinct research topics within agricultural competitiveness: (1) energy efficiency and bioenergy, (2) price fluctuation, uncertainty, and market behavior, (3) structural transformation of agriculture, (4) rural development, (5) policy issues, and (6) climate change. Moreover, the research offers insights into potential future research avenues. The uniqueness and value of this work stem from its pioneering approach, being the first to synthesize agricultural competitiveness research through an amalgamation of bibliometric techniques. Background: The Co-word analysis has the ability to identify the intellectual structure of knowledge in a research domain and reveal its subsurface research aspects. Objective: This study examines the intellectual structure of knowledge in the field of Andrology during the period 2008-2017 using Co-word analysis. Materials and Methods: In this descriptive-analytical study with a scientometric approach, the WoS database was searched for papers indexed under "Andrology" over the period 2008--2017. The data were analyzed using Co-word, clustering methods, and strategic diagram with the help of SPSS, UcInet, RavarPreMap and VOSviewer software. Results: The highest publication rate in the area of Andrology was seen in countries like the USA, China, Italy, and Iran. The top three journals that published papers on the field were Fertility and Sterility, Andrologia, Human reproduction. The results showed that the keyword "Spermatozoa" and two pairs of frequently used keywords, namely "Azoospermia * Oligospermia" were the most frequent in the field of Andrology. The results of hierarchical clustering led to 13 clusters. The clusters "Reproductive Techniques" and "Spermatogenesis" are the core clusters and play an effective role. The "Post-Testicular causes" and "Neoplasm" clusters are in marginal. Conclusion: This study represented that Co-word analysis can well illustrate the intellectual structure of an area. Considering the frequency of keywords along with the clusters obtained, it seems that the majority of research approach was seen on infertility treatments, especially through assisted reproductive technology. This article analyzes research outputs in ergonomics and human factors engineering (EHFE), revealing its intellectual structure via bibliometric techniques, co-word analysis, network analysis and science visualization tools. The population comprises 23,472 records published during 2000-2018 in 19 core journals of the human factors and ergonomics subject category in Scopus. Findings showed that in EHFE fields 'the United States', 'University of Central Florida' and 'Stanton NA' were the most productive country, university and author, respectively. It was also found that 'ergonomics' was the most frequent keyword and 'ergonomics × human factor' the most frequent co-occurring keywords in EHFE documents. Hierarchical cluster analysis led to creation of eight topical clusters, including among others 'biomechanics ergonomics', 'work-related musculoskeletal disorders & work system design' and 'performance'. The results indicated that 'biomechanics ergonomics' was a well-matured cluster while 'human machine interaction', 'ergonomics design', 'macro-ergonomics' and 'cognitive ergonomics' were found to be emerging or declining clusters.

The present research aims to examine the conceptual structure of balanced scorecard (BSC) research from its inception (1992) to the end of 2020. After a review of the BSC literature, co-word analysis and social network analysis are used to analyze the data. The results show that 3742 documents have been published between 1992 and 2020 with 2638 distinctive keywords. The most frequently used keywords are "Balanced Scorecard", "Management", "Performance", "Framework" and "Strategy". Moreover, the article "The Balanced Scorecard: Measures That Drive Performance" with 4253 citations, was the most frequently cited article and "Robert Kaplan" with 16 documents and 8063 citations was the top author in terms of citation count and the number of documents. The United States is the top country with 486 documents and 18,805 citations. In addition, the journal "Total Quality Management and Business Excellence" is the most prolific journal with 50 articles, and the journal "Harvard Business Review" with 7778 citations, is the top journal in the number of citations. "Islamic Azad University of Iran" is the top university in the world with 57 documents. The most common keyword in Asia, Europe, North America, South America, and Oceania is "Balanced Scorecard". Background: Simulation-based nursing training has been used incorporated into nursing education for decades, however, there is limited information related to simulation research hotspots and theme trends over time., Objectives: To investigate the research hotspots and theme trends of simulation in nursing education through bibliometric analysis., Methods: Relevant articles on simulation in nursing education published between 2005 and 2019 were retrieved from PubMed. The Bibliographic Item Co-occurrence Matrix Builder (BICOMB) was used to extract and quantitatively analyze the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) terms and subheadings. The biclustering analysis was conducted using gCluto1.0 to identify the research hotspots. A strategic diagram was employed to reveal the development trend of the theme., Results: A total of 4102 publications were retrieved from PubMed showing an overall increasing trend. Based on the results, the United States was the most productive country (2868,55.7 %), the journal Nurse Education Today journal was the top journal concerning this field, and Cooper SJ and Holtschneider ME were authors with the highest number of publications on this topic. Quantitative and co-word biclustering analyses were used in this study. The research hotspots in recent 5 years were focused on: (1) interprofessional simulation in patient-care teams; (2) patient simulation in psychiatric nursing education; (3) virtual reality simulation (VRS) in midwifery and nursing education; (4) simulation in critical care nurses' continuing education/training, and (5) simulation in pediatric resuscitation education. The strategic diagram showed that the VRS in midwifery and nursing education might have a significant potential to become an emerging hotspot soon., Conclusion: The research literature production of simulation in nursing education was increasing over the past 15 years. Through co-word biclustering analysis, five research hotspots were identified. Among them, simulation in psychiatric education and critical care continuing education had a central priority that researchers should pay further attention to, and VRS could be the major trend for future study. Background: Mobile apps are viewed as a promising opportunity to provide support for patients who have posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The development of mobile technologies and apps shows similar trends in PTSD treatment. Therefore, this emerging research field has received substantial attention. Consequently, various research settings are planned for current and further studies., Objective: The aim of this study was to explore the scientific patterns of research domains related to mobile apps and other technologies for PTSD treatment in scholarly publications, and to suggest further studies for this emerging research field., Methods: We conducted a bibliometric analysis to identify publication patterns, most important keywords, trends for topicality, and text analysis, along with construction of a word cloud for papers published in the last decade (2010 to 2019). Research questions were formulated based on the relevant literature. In particular, we concentrated on highly ranked sources. Based on the proven bibliometric approach, the data were ultimately retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection (Clarivate Analytics)., Results: A total of 64 studies were found concerning the research domains. The vast majority of the papers were written in the English language (63/64, 98%) with the remaining article (1/64, 2%) written in French. The articles were written by 323 authors/coauthors from 11 different countries, with the United States predominating, followed by England, Canada, Italy, the Netherlands, Australia, France, Germany, Mexico, Sweden, and Vietnam. The most common publication type was peer-reviewed journal articles (48/64, 75%), followed by reviews (8/64, 13%), meeting abstracts (5/64, 8%), news items (2/64, 3%), and a proceeding (1/64, 2%). There was a mean of 6.4 papers published per year over the study period. There was a 100% increase in the number of publications published from 2016 to 2019 with a mean of 13.33 papers published per year during this latter period., Conclusions: Although the number of papers on mobile technologies for PTSD was quite low in the early period, there has been an overall increase in this research domain in recent years (2016-2019). Overall, these findings indicate that mobile health tools in combination with traditional treatment for mental disorders among veterans increase the efficiency of health interventions, including reducing PTSD symptoms, improving quality of life, conducting intervention evaluation, and monitoring of improvements. Mobile apps and technologies can be used as supportive tools in managing pain, anger, stress, and sleep disturbance. Objective: To comprehensively analyze the global scientific outputs of nanoparticles in pancreatic cancer research., Methods: Publications regarding the nanoparticles in pancreatic cancer research published from 1986 to 2019 were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC). Highly frequent keywords, publication years, journals, cited papers, cited journals and cited authors were identified using BICOMB software, and then a binary matrix and a co-word matrix were constructed. gCLUTO was used for double clustering of highly frequent journals. Co-citation analysis was performed using CiteSpace V software, including keywords, references, journals author or institution cooperation network., Results: A total of 1171 publications were included in this study. Publications mainly came from 10 countries, led by the US (n=470) and China (n=349). Among the top 20 journals ranked by the number of citations, nanoscience nanotechnology was the leader with 300. Cluster analysis of citation network identified 12 co-citation clusters, headed by "stromal barrier" and "emerging inorganic nanomaterial"., Conclusion: Our findings reveal the research performance and intellectual structure of the nanoparticles in pancreatic cancer research, which may help researchers understand the research trends and hotspots in this field., Competing Interests: The authors declare no conflicts of interest., (© 2020 Zhu et al.)

Background: As the second-largest economy in the world, China has invested considerable financial and policy support into hospital informatization since health care reform in 2010. However, the results and experience of such investments have not been compared with relevant research and applications in the United States and Europe., Objectives: From the perspective of professional conference proceedings, we comparatively analyzed the current situations, characteristics, hotspots, and trends of medical informatics (MI) development in China, the United States and Europe to help Chinese MI researchers and practitioners summarize their experiences and determine gaps compared to their American and European peers. We also aimed to educate foreign peers about the special contributions of the China MI circle and facilitate multilevel international cooperation., Methods: English conference proceedings of the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) Annual Symposium (USA), Medical Informatics Europe (MIE, Europe) and World Conference on Medical Informatics (MEDINFO, Global) from 2007 to 2017 were searched within Scopus and Pubmed. Proceedings of Chinese MI conferences (CMIAAS, CHINC, CHITEC, CPMI) (China) were searched within Chinese databases CQVIP, CNKI and WanFang during the same period. The datasets were preprocessed via a Natural Language Processing (NLP) package on Python and were qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed via bibliometric methods., Results: Overall, 2285, 1601, 1930 and 5431 papers were publicized from the AMIA Symposium (USA), MIE (Europe), MEDINFO (Global) and Chinese MI conferences (China) between 2007 and 2017, respectively, with an H-index of 32, 19, 19 and 3, respectively. The AMIA Symposium, MIE and MEDINFO received submissions from 43, 68 and 80 countries (or regions), respectively, but Chinese MI conferences (CMIAAS, CHINC, CHITEC, CPMI) only received submissions from 3 foreign countries. Author affiliations were quite similar among the AMIA Symposium, MIE and MEDINFO, as 67%, 75% and 70% of authors came from universities/colleges, respectively; 18%, 10% and 11% came from medical institutions, respectively; and 7%, 8% and 10% came from institutes, respectively. In contrast, the majority (54%) of authors in Chinese MI conferences came from medical institutions followed by universities/colleges (17%) and institutes (10%). Of the top 5 authors with the most publications in AMIA Symposium, MIE and MEDINFO, 14/15 of them had medical backgrounds, but only one author from the Chinese MI conferences majored in medicine. Electronic medical records (EMR) were included in the top 10 high-frequency keywords by all four conference groups, but the amount of time that this keyword appeared differed in 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2013, respectively., Conclusions: The MI annual conferences are all different among China, the United States and Europe. China lags in the theoretical and discipline bases but has made considerable investments in the past 10 years. China should fully use its second-mover advantage and application advantages and utilize international experiences and cooperation to make stronger contributions to global MI development., (Copyright © 2018 Elsevier B.V.
