Search

Recommendation systems usually recommend the existing contents to different users. However, in comparison to static recommendation methods, a recommendation logic that dynamically adjusts based on user interest preferences may potentially attract a larger user base. Thus, we consider paraphrasing existing content based on the interests of the users to modify the content to better align with the preferences of users. In this paper, we propose a new task named Target-Audience Oriented Content Paraphrase aims to generate more customized contents for the target audience. We introduce the task definition and the corresponding framework for the proposed task and the creation of the corresponding datasets. We utilize the Large Language Models (LLMs) and Large Vision Models (LVMs) to accomplish the base implementation of the TOP framework and provide the referential baseline results for the proposed task., Comment: 8 pages

In our previous study, we introduced a machine-learning technique, namely CMBFSCNN, for the removal of foreground contamination in cosmic microwave background (CMB) polarization data. This method was successfully employed on actual observational data from the Planck mission. In this study, we extend our investigation by considering the CMB lensing effect in simulated data and utilizing the CMBFSCNN approach to recover the CMB lensing B-mode power spectrum from multi-frequency observational maps. Our method is first applied to simulated data with the performance of CMB-S4 experiment. We achieve reliable recovery of the noisy CMB Q (or U) maps with a mean absolute difference of $0.016\pm0.008\ \mu$K (or $0.021\pm0.002\ \mu$K) for the CMB-S4 experiment. To address the residual instrumental noise in the foreground-cleaned map, we employ a "half-split maps" approach, where the entire dataset is divided into two segments sharing the same sky signal but having uncorrelated noise. Using cross-correlation techniques between two recovered half-split maps, we effectively reduce instrumental noise effects at the power spectrum level. As a result, we achieve precise recovery of the CMB EE and lensing B-mode power spectra. Furthermore, we also extend our pipeline to full-sky simulated data with the performance of LiteBIRD experiment. As expected, various foregrounds are cleanly removed from the foreground contamination observational maps, and recovered EE and lensing B-mode power spectra exhibit excellent agreement with the true results. Using the gauge-gravity duality, we investigate the fermionic correlation function in the D(-1)-D3 brane system which describes the instantonic plasma in holography. In this system, the charge of the D(-1) brane as the D-instanton gives the gluon condensate. To simplify the holographic setup, we first reduce briefly the ten-dimensional supergravity background produced by D(-1)-D3-branes to an equivalently five-dimensional background. Then using the standard method for computing the Green function in the AdS/CFT dictionary, we derive the equations for the fermionic correlation functions and solve them numerically with the infalling boundary condition. Our numerical results illustrate that the fermionic correlation function as spectral function includes two branches of the dispersion curves whose behavior is very close to the results obtained from the method of hard thermal loop. And the effective mass generated by the medium effect of fermion splits into two values due to the spin-dependent interactions induced by instantons. Inspired by the recent experimental progress on the $T_{c\bar{s}0}^a(2900)^{0/++}$, the fully open tetraquark spectrum with the configuration of $[8]_{[c\bar{s}]} \otimes [8]_{[q \bar{q^\prime}]}$ is systematically investigated by the QCD sum rules. In this article, we concentrate on the quantum numbers $J^{P}=0^{+}/0^{-}/1^{+}/1^{-}$. Firstly, we construct four scalar currents ($J^{P}=0^+$) in the form of $[8]_{[c\bar{s}]} \otimes [8]_{[u\bar{d}]}$ type tetraquark structure and perform the analysis of the QCD sum rules, where we consider the leading order contributions up to dimension 11 in the operator product expansion and retain contributions linear in the strange quark mass $m_s$. Our results, $M_{0^{+}}^A = 2.91_{-0.20}^{+0.20}~\text{GeV}$ and $M_{0^{+}}^C = 2.98_{-0.21}^{+0.20}~\text{GeV}$, are consistent with the experimentally discovered $T_{c\bar{s}0}^a(2900)^{++}$ within error margins. Thus, our calculation supports classifying $T_{c\bar{s}0}^a(2900)^{++}$ as a tetraquark state with the $[8]_{[c\bar{s}]} \otimes [8]_{u \bar{d}}$ color configuration. Moreover, on the basis of $J^P=0^+$, we also study tetraquark states with quantum numbers $J^P=0^-$, $1^+$, and $1^-$, predicting two new hadronic states awaiting experimental verification for each quantum number. Their masses are as follows: $M_{0^{-}}^{A}=3.45_{-0.10}^{+0.12}~\text{GeV}$, $M_{0^{-}}^{D}=3.20_{-0.19}^{+0.17}~\text{GeV}$, $M_{1^{+}}^{A}=2.95_{-0.19}^{+0.19}~\text{GeV}$, $M_{1^{+}}^{C}={2.95_{-0.19}^{+0.19}}~\text{GeV}$, $M_{1^{-}}^{A}={3.23_{-0.10}^{+0.11}}~\text{GeV}$ and $M_{1^{-}}^{D}={3.23_{-0.11}^{+0.09}}~\text{GeV}$. We study the out-of-time-order correlators (OTOC) of Skyrmion as baryon in the D0-D4/D8 model which is expected to be holographically dual to QCD with instantons as D0-branes or with a non-zero theta angle. Baryon states are identified to the excitations of the Skyrmion which are described by a holographic quantum mechanical system in this model. By employing the definition of OTOC in quantum mechanics, we derive the formulas and demonstrate explicitly the numerical calculations of the OTOC. Our calculation illustrates the quantum OTOC with imaginary Lyapunov coefficient indicates the possibly metastable baryonic status in the presence of the instanton while the classical OTOC can not, thus it reveals the instantonic or theta-dependent features of QCD are dominated basically by its quantum properties. Furthermore, the OTOC also implies the baryonic phase becomes really chaotic with real Lyapunov exponent if the instanton charge increases sufficiently which agrees with the unstable baryon spectrum presented in this model. We develop a general framework for studying the spin alignment $\rho_{00}$ for flavorless vector mesons by using the gauge/gravity duality. Focusing on the dilepton production through vector meson decay, we derive the relation between production rates at each spin channel and meson's spectral function, which can be evaluated by holographic models for a strongly coupled system. As examples, we study $\rho_{00}$ for $J/\psi$ and $\phi$ mesons, induced by the relative motion to a thermal background, within the soft-wall model. We show that $\rho_{00}$ in the helicity frame for $J/\psi$ and $\phi$ mesons have positive and negative deviations from 1/3 at $T=150$ MeV, respectively, which consequently leads to different properties for their global spin alignments., Comment: 10 pages, 7 figures

We study the mass spectra and spin alignment of vector meson $J/\psi$ in a thermal magnetized background using a generalized theoretical framework based on gauge/gravity duality. Utilizing a soft wall model for the QGP background and a massive vector field for the $J/\psi$ meson, we delve into the meson's spectral function and spin parameters $(\lambda_{\theta},\, \lambda_\varphi,\,\lambda_{\theta\varphi})$ for different cases, assessing their response to variations in magnetic field strength, momentum, and temperature. We initially examine scenarios where a meson's momentum aligns parallel to the magnetic field in helicity frame. Our results reveal a magnetic field-induced positive $\lambda_\theta^\text{H}$ for low meson momentum, transitioning to negative with increased momentum. As a comparison, we also study the case of momentum perpendicular to the magnetic field and find the direction of magnetic field does not affect the qualitative behavior for the $eB$-dependence of $\lambda_\theta^\text{H}$. Moreover, we apply our model to real heavy-ion collisions for three different spin quantization directions. Further comparisons with experimental data show qualitative agreement for spin parameters $\lambda_{\theta}$ and $\lambda_\varphi$ in the helicity and Collins-Soper frames., Comment: 27 pages, 8 figures

In flat-band materials, the strong Coulomb interaction between electrons can lead to exotic physical phenomena. Recently, $\alpha$-In$_2$Se$_3$ thin films were found to possess ferroelectricity and flat bands. In this work, using first-principles calculations, we find that for the monolayer, there is a Weyl point at $\Gamma$ in the flat band, where the inclusion of the spin-orbit coupling opens a gap. Shifting the Fermi level into the spin-orbit gap gives rise to nontrivial band topology, which is preserved for the bilayer regardless of the interlayer polarization couplings. We further calculate the Chern number and edge states for both the monolayer and bilayer, for which the results suggest that they become quantum anomalous Hall insulators under appropriate dopings. Moreover, we find that the doping-induced magnetism for In$_2$Se$_3$ bilayer is strongly dependent on the interlayer polarization coupling. Therefore, doping the flat bands in In$_2$Se$_3$ bilayer can also yield multiferroicity, where the magnetism is electrically tunable as the system transforms between different polarization states. Our study thus reveals that multiferroicity and nontrivial band topology can be unified into one material for designing multifunctional electronic devices., Comment: 6 pages, 4 figures

Vector-like leptons (VLLs) as one kind of the most intriguing particles, have been widely concerned in several extensions of the Standard Model (SM). In this work, we explore the discovery potential of VLLs via pair production in the context of models that satisfy asymptotic safety at the International Linear Collider (ILC). The expected sensitivities of the ILC with the center of mass energy $\sqrt{s} =$ 1 TeV and the integrated luminosity $\mathcal{L}$ = 1 ab$^{-1}$ to the parameter space of this kind of VLL models are derived. The results we obtained show that, for the VLL with mass $M_F$ in the region of $M_{F}\in$ [101GeV, 463GeV], the Yukawa coupling $\kappa $ can be as low as $\kappa \in$ [0.032, 0.098]., Comment: 14 pages, 5 figures, to be published in Nuclear Physics B

In this work, we investigate the worldvolume fermion on the flavor brane in the D0-D4/D8 model which is holographically equivalent to the four-dimensional QCD with a theta term. The action for the worldvolume fermion is obtained by the T-duality rules in string theory and we accordingly derive its effectively five-dimensional, canonical four-dimensional forms by using the systematical dimensional reduction and decomposition of spinor. Afterwards, we employ the AdS/CFT dictionary in order to evaluate the two-point correlation function as the spectral function for the worldvolume fermion and interpret the fermion as baryon by analyzing its quantum number with the baryon vertex in holography. In this sense, the interacted action involving the worldvolume fermion and gauge field on the flavor brane are finally derived in holography which describes the various interaction of meson and baryon with the theta angle in large-N limit. As the out-of-time-order correlator (OTOC) is a measure of quantum chaos and an important observable in the context of AdS/CFT, we investigate the OTOC of holographic Skyrmion which is described by an analytical quantum mechanical system from the D4/D8 model (as the holographic QCD). By employing the OTOC defined in quantum mechanics, we derive the formulas and demonstrate the numerical calculations of the OTOC explicitly which is also available for the general case with central force field. Our numerical evaluation illustrates the behaviors of the OTOC with large $N_{c}$, however the expected exponential growth of OTOC is not obtained. Besides, we also take a look at the classical limit of the OTOC and analyze the associated behaviors. At the end of this work, we additionally study the OTOC with three-dimensional Coulomb potential, as another example for the central force field, to support our analyses of the general properties of quantum OTOC., Comment: 30 pages, 8 figures

The genuine entanglement of Dirac fields for an N-partite system is investigated in Schwarzschild spacetime and the analysis is carried out using the single-mode approximation. Due to the Hawking effect, quantum entanglement is divided into two parts physically accessible and inaccessible entanglement. We obtain a general analytic expression of genuine N-partite entanglement that includes all accessible and inaccessible entanglement in a Schwarzschild black hole. Unlike bosonic entanglement, the accessible N-partite entanglement of Dirac fields monotonically decreases to a nonzero value with the Hawking temperature. Interestingly, the inaccessible N-partite entanglement is a monotonic or non-monotonic function of the Hawking temperature, depending on the ratio between accessible and inaccessible modes, in contrast to bipartite or tripartite entanglement that is only a monotonic function of the Hawking temperature. Finally, we obtain two restrictive relationships for the quantum information of the black hole. Pulsar search is always the basis of pulsar navigation, gravitational wave detection and other research topics. Currently, the volume of pulsar candidates collected by Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope (FAST) shows an explosive growth rate that has brought challenges for its pulsar candidate filtering System. Particularly, the multi-view heterogeneous data and class imbalance between true pulsars and non-pulsar candidates have negative effects on traditional single-modal supervised classification methods. In this study, a multi-modal and semi-supervised learning based pulsar candidate sifting algorithm is presented, which adopts a hybrid ensemble clustering scheme of density-based and partition-based methods combined with a feature-level fusion strategy for input data and a data partition strategy for parallelization. Experiments on both HTRU (The High Time Resolution Universe Survey) 2 and FAST actual observation data demonstrate that the proposed algorithm could excellently identify the pulsars: On HTRU2, the precision and recall rates of its parallel mode reach 0.981 and 0.988. On FAST data, those of its parallel mode reach 0.891 and 0.961, meanwhile, the running time also significantly decrease with the increment of parallel nodes within limits. So, we can get the conclusion that our algorithm could be a feasible idea for large scale pulsar candidate sifting of FAST drift scan observation.

Due to the success of large-scale visual-language pretraining (VLP) models and the widespread use of image-text retrieval in industry areas, it is now critically necessary to reduce the model size and streamline their mobile-device deployment. Single- and dual-stream model structures are commonly used in image-text retrieval with the goal of closing the semantic gap between textual and visual modalities. While single-stream models use deep feature fusion to achieve more accurate cross-model alignment, dual-stream models are better at offline indexing and fast inference.We propose a Multi-teacher Cross-modality Alignment Distillation (MCAD) technique to integrate the advantages of single- and dual-stream models. By incorporating the fused single-stream features into the image and text features of the dual-stream model, we formulate new modified teacher similarity distributions and features. Then, we conduct both distribution and feature distillation to boost the capability of the student dual-stream model, achieving high retrieval performance without increasing inference complexity.Extensive experiments demonstrate the remarkable performance and high efficiency of MCAD on image-text retrieval tasks. Furthermore, we implement a lightweight CLIP model on Snapdragon/Dimensity chips with only $\sim$100M running memory and $\sim$8.0ms search latency, achieving the mobile-device application of VLP models., Comment: Accepted by NAACL 2024 Findings

Pre-trained language models have been widely used in dependency parsing task and have achieved significant improvements in parser performance. However, it remains an understudied question whether pre-trained language models can spontaneously exhibit the ability of dependency parsing without introducing additional parser structure in the zero-shot scenario. In this paper, we propose to explore the dependency parsing ability of large language models such as ChatGPT and conduct linguistic analysis. Document-level event extraction (DEE) faces two main challenges: arguments-scattering and multi-event. Although previous methods attempt to address these challenges, they overlook the interference of event-unrelated sentences during event detection and neglect the mutual interference of different event roles during argument extraction. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel Schema-based Explicitly Aggregating~(SEA) model to address these limitations. SEA aggregates event information into event type and role representations, enabling the decoding of event records based on specific type-aware representations. By detecting each event based on its event type representation, SEA mitigates the interference caused by event-unrelated information. Furthermore, SEA extracts arguments for each role based on its role-aware representations, reducing mutual interference between different roles. Most current Event Extraction (EE) methods focus on the high-resource scenario, which requires a large amount of annotated data and can hardly be applied to low-resource domains. To address EE more effectively with limited resources, we propose the Demonstration-enhanced Schema-guided Generation (DemoSG) model, which benefits low-resource EE from two aspects: Firstly, we propose the demonstration-based learning paradigm for EE to fully use the annotated data, which transforms them into demonstrations to illustrate the extraction process and help the model learn effectively. Secondly, we formulate EE as a natural language generation task guided by schema-based prompts, thereby leveraging label semantics and promoting knowledge transfer in low-resource scenarios. We conduct extensive experiments under in-domain and domain adaptation low-resource settings on three datasets, and study the robustness of DemoSG. The Internal Linear Combination (ILC) method is commonly employed to extract the cosmic microwave background (CMB) signal from multi-frequency observation maps. However, the performance of the ILC method tends to degrade when the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is relatively low, particularly when measuring the primordial $B$-modes to detect the primordial gravitational waves. To address this issue, an enhanced version of the ILC method, known as constrained ILC, is proposed. This method is designed to be more suitable for situations with low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) by incorporating additional prior foreground information. In our study, we have modified the constraint Needlet ILC method and successfully improved its performance at low SNR. We illustrate our methods using mock data generated from the combination of WMAP, Planck and a ground-based experiment in the northern hemisphere, and the chosen noise level for the ground-based experiment are very conservative which can be easily achieved in the very near future. The results show that the level of foreground residual can be well controlled. In comparison to the standard NILC method, which introduces a bias to the tensor-to-scalar ratio ($r$) of approximately $0.05$, the constrained NILC method exhibits a significantly reduced bias of only around $5\times10^{-3}$ towards $r$ which is much smaller than the statistical error.

In this paper we study the algebra of quantum observables of the Chern-Simons matrix model which was originally proposed by Susskind and Polychronakos to describe electrons in fractional quantum Hall effects. We establish the commutation relations for its generators and study the large $N$ limit of its representation. We show that the large $N$ limit algebra is isomorphic to the uniform in $N$ algebra studied by Costello, which is isomorphic to the deformed double current algebra studied by Guay. Under appropriate scaling limit, we show that the large $N$ limit algebra degenerates to a Lie algebra which admits a surjective map to the affine Lie algebra of $\mathfrak{u}(p)$. This leads to a complete proof of the large $N$ emergence of the $\mathfrak{u}(p)$ current algebra as proposed by Dorey, Tong and Turner.
