A first atom-economic [2 + 2] cycloaddition/1,6-conjugate addition cascade of yne-allenones with C-nucleophiles including 1,3-dicarbonyls and α,α-dicyanoolefins under base-promoted conditions has been established, enabling the direct construction of C(sp3)–C(sp3) bonds to generate cyclobuta[a]naphthalen-1-ols with generally good yields. These resulting products have a cyclobutene unit that contains both an aryl and alkyl group.

Autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP) is a rare chronic pancreatitis and the incidence is increasing recently. However, the formal report of this disease is still rare in literatures. Here, we reported a rare case of IgG4 positive autoimmune pancreatitis to make the awareness of this type of disease. The patient was a 58-year-old Chinese male who was suffered from epigastric pain accompanied by nausea and vomiting. An occupying lesion was detected in the body of the pancreas tail with the ultrasound examination. The serum IgG4 levels, white blood cells, blood amylase and the γ-globulin fraction were all increased. After operation, the following pathological detection with immunochemistry test confirmed the diagnosis of autoimmune pancreatitis.

Introduction:Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is essential when facing emerging infectious diseases. Proper training methods can promote the use of the PPE correctly.Aim:To explore the effect of the training method of sequential operation training on medical staff to master PPE penetration and removal skills, and to study the memory attenuation after training.Methods:Fifteen medical staff with no experience of PPE operation in a hospital were trained to wear PPE in accordance with WHO standards by illustration and sequential operation method. The training included 30 minutes of theoretical teaching and 60 minutes of practical exercises. At the end of the training and 1 week after the training, the training objects were evaluated for PPE operation. A 2.5 x 2.5 cm fluorescent agent was applied on 6 parts, such as hands, chest, abdomen, and knees, to simulate contamination. After taking the PPE off, the parts of the whole body and the inner layer of clothing that were fluorescently contaminated were recorded. The whole operation process was recorded by video to evaluate whether the operation was correct. The error rates of two operations and the contamination position and frequency were compared.Results:The error rate of the operating PPE after training was 18.6%, rising to 31.9% after 1 week (Z=16.0, PDiscussion:Illustrative sequential operation training is an important means to improve the way for medical staff to wear PPE, but it must be completed more than once to ensure that medical staff can firmly master the skills of wearing and removing PPE.

In order to investigate the effect of nitrogen fertilizer on combined forms and transformation of fluorine in tea garden soil, soil pot experiment was carried out. The research object was red-yellow soil in Shizipu tea plantation in the south of Anhui Province. Five treatments were N0P0K0 (CK), N0P1K1 (N0), N1P1K1 (N1), N2P1K1 (N2), N3P1K1 (N3). Water-soluble fluorine content, exchangeable fluorine content, Fe/Mn oxide-bound fluorine content, organic matter-bound fluorine content, ammonium nitrogen content and soil pH value in 0~15 cm soil layer were analyzed in 10, 20, 30, 50, 70, 90 days after fertilization. The results showed that compared with CK, in the short term (10 or 20 days) after applying NPK, the content of water-soluble fluorine in 0~15 cm soil layer was decreased and the content of exchangeable fluorine, Fe/Mn oxide-bound fluorine and organic matter-bound fluorine were increased. After 20 days, the content of soil water-soluble fluorine was increased and the content of soil exchangeable fluorine, Fe/Mn oxide-bound fluorine and organic matter-bound fluorine were reduced. The effect on water-soluble fluorine and exchangeable fluorine increased with time and the application rate of nitrogen. The content of water-soluble fluorine in tea garden soil had a moderately positive correlation with the application rate of nitrogen while the content of exchangeable fluorine had a moderately or highly negative correlation with the application rate of nitrogen. Nondestructive determination of Au in gold ornaments mainly takes density method and X ray fluorescence spectrometer with energy dispersion (EDXRF), which exists disadvantages. This paper based on the principle of crystallography, deduced the mathematical relationship between the crystallographic parameters, the density and the impurities content in gold jewelry alloys, then introduced the results by density testing and determination of Ag and Cu by EDXRF into the mathematical relationship, and obtained the gold weight percent in gold jewelry alloys. The results show that obtained the gold weight percent and determination of Au by fire assay are almost consistent, which the error is less than 0.12 %, so establishes a synthesis method of determination of Au by EDXRF and density testing, solves the disadvantages which EDXRF only detects on gold jewelry surface and small area, and density testing cannot detect gold jewelry alloy and demands that jewelry shape is simple, and provides an effective synthesis way for determination of Au in gold jewelry alloys.

DESCRIPTION OF PAENIBACILLUS SHUNPENGII SP. NOV. Paenibacillus shunpengii (shun.peng′ i.i. N.L. gen. n. shunpengii of Shun-peng, to honour Shun-peng Li, a respected Chinese microbiologist, for his great contributions to China’ s environmental microbiology). Cells are aerobic or facultatively anaerobic, Gram-stainpositive, motile, endospore-forming and rod-shaped (0.4– 0.6× 0.8–1.2 mm). Ellipsoidal spores are formed at terminal positions in swollen sporangia. After 24 h of growth on LB agar, colonies are circular, greyish, smooth, shiny and up to 5 mm in diameter. Grows at 18–42 Ǫ C (optimum 35 Ǫ C), pH 6.5–8.0 (optimum pH 7.5) and with 0.0–4.0 % (w/v) NaCl (optimum 0.5 %, w/v). In API 50 CH tests, acid is produced from L- arabinose, ribose, D- xylose, fructose, mannose, mannitol, N -acetylgulcosamine, amygdalin, arbutin, aesculin, salicin, celliobiose, maltose, lactose, melibiose, starch and potassium gluconate, but not from glycerol, erythritol, D-arabinose, L- xylose, adonite, xyloside, galactose, glucose, sorbose/sorbitose, rhamnose, dulcitol, inositol, D- sorbitol, methyl a- D- mannopyranoside, methyl a- D- glucopyranoside, sucrose, trehalose, inulin, melezitose, raffinose, glycogen, xylitol, gentiobiose, turanose, D- lyxose, D- tagatose, D-fucose, L- fucose, D- arabitol, L- arabitol, potassium 2-ketogluconate or potassium 5-ketogluconate. Cells are resistant to lincomycin, rifampin, novobiocin, nalidixic acid, bacitracin and polymyxin B. The type strain, YYJ7-1 T (= ACCC 19965 T = KCTC 33849 T), was isolated from farmland soil in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, China (27 Ǫ 53′ N 120 Ǫ 36′ E). The DNA G+C content of the type strain is 39.4 mol%.

Topological phase transitions, which have fascinated generations of physicists, are always demarcated by gap closures. In this work, we propose very simple two-dimensional photonic crystal lattices with gap closures, i.e., band degeneracies protected by nonsymmorphic symmetry. Our photonic structures are relatively easy to fabricate, consisting of two inequivalent dielectric cylinders per unit cell. Along high-symmetry directions, they exhibit line degeneracies protected by glide-reflection symmetry and time-reversal symmetry, which we explicitly demonstrate for $pg,pmg,pgg$, and $p4g$ nonsymmorphic groups. They also exhibit point degeneracies (Dirac points) protected by a ${Z}_{2}$ topological number associated only with crystalline symmetry. Strikingly, the robust protection of $pg$ symmetry allows a Lifshitz transition to a type-II Dirac cone across a wide range of experimentally accessible parameters, thus providing a convenient route for realizing anomalous refraction. Further potential applications include a stoplight device based on electrically induced strain that dynamically switches the lattice symmetry from $pgg$ to the higher $p4g$ symmetry. This controls the coalescence of Dirac points and hence the group velocity within the crystal.

Most of the 3D mesh segmentation method now is based on the curvature model. This unified error method leads to poor segmentation results. In order to solve the problem of “the unified error”, in this paper, we used the watershed algorithm. We used region growing algorithm to improve the segmentation of watershed algorithm and apply the ROI conception to achieve interest segmentation. In this method, without considering the smoothness of the split edge, the 3D mesh model can achieve their desired segmentation effect.

The design of engine valve spring generally belongs to multi-objective optimum design. The traditional trying means and the graphical methods are difficult to solve the multi-objective optimization problem, and the traditional multi-objective algorithms have certain defects. The elitist non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA-II) is an excellent multi-objective algorithm, which is widely used to solve problems of multi-objective optimization. This method can improve the design quality and efficiency, and it has much more engineering practical value.

Summary To better understand the biology of Schizopygopsis younghusbandi Regan, 1905 and its relationship with management considerations, this study describes the relationships between otolith size and fish length and age, verifies annual periodicity of otolith annulus formation, and estimates the S. younghusbandi growth parameters. These age and growth characteristics were studied using 694 specimens collected from August 2008 to August 2009. Otoliths grew asymmetrically throughout the range of standard length (SL) studied, showing a clear pattern of alternating translucent and opaque bands. Marginal increment ration (MIR) analysis of specimens up to 6 years of age indicated that one opaque band and one translucent band were laid down each year. Maximum observed age was 17 years, corresponding to a female of 35.8 cm SL and 589.1 g body weight (BW). The SL-BW relationship was described as BW = 1.122 × 10−5 SL3.030 for sexes combined. The von Bertalanffy growth function was used to model back-calculated lengths as Lt = 338.4 (1−e−0.233 (t + 0.403)) for males, and Lt = 433.9 (1−e−0.194 (t + 0.397)) for females. Growth performance of S. younghusbandi was relatively higher than those of other Schizothoracinaes inhabiting the same river.

Introduction:Personal protective equipment (PPE) is a necessary item in the period of unknown and high-risk emerging infectious disease. It is not only the necessary requirement of strict isolation, but also the last line of defense to protect medical staff.Aim:Compare the differences between contaminated frequency and sites under two types of PPE doffing.Methods:Recruited 56 health care workers (HCWs) who worked in clinical to follow the different PPE removal guidelines issued by the Chinese Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) final resolution for preventing Ebola virus. Eight batches of HCWs were divided to conduct simulations of contaminated PPE removal using fluorescent lotion (Glitter Bug Potion, On Solution Pty Lt). Then we recorded the frequency and sites of contamination of personnel after removal of contaminated PPE by the method of visual observation.Results:According to China’s CDC process, the parts that are easily contaminated during PPE removal are: left hand and wrist (7 times), left calf (7 times), front chest center and left and right chest (6 times each) and left abdomen (5 times). Contaminated parts of the PPE process in accordance with the WHO process from high to low were: right hand and wrist (13 times), left hand and wrist (12 times), middle of the abdomen (10 times), left chest (9 times), and left abdomen (6 Times). There was no statistical difference between the two kinds of PPE piercing and removal (Z=1.177, P > 0. 05).Discussion:Under the guidance of the two processes recommended by China CDC and WHO, there was no significant difference in the frequency of pollution after removing PPE. It is speculated that the PPE recommendation processes issued by WHO and China CDC are effective for personal protection against fulminating infectious diseases.
