A mimicking-enzyme-based colorimetric aptasensor was developed for the detection of kanamycin (KANA) in milk using magnetic loop-DNA-NMOF-Pt (m-L-DNA) probes and catalytic hairpin assembly (CHA)-assisted target recycling for signal amplification. The m-L-DNA probes were constructed via hybridization of hairpin DNA H1 (containing aptamer sequence) immobilized magnetic beads (m-H1) and signal DNA (sDNA, partial hybridization with H1) labeled nano Fe-MIL-88NH 2 -Pt (NMOF-Pt-sDNA). In the presence of KANA and complementary hairpin DNA H2, the m-L-DNA probes decomposed and formed an m-H1/KANA intermediate, which triggered the CHA reaction to form a stable duplex strand (m-H1-H2) while releasing KANA again for recycling. Consequently, numerous NMOF-Pt-sDNA as mimicking enzymes can synergistically catalyze 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) for color development. The aptasensor exhibited high selectivity and sensitivity for KANA in milk with a detection limit of 0.2 pg mL -1 within 30 min. The assay can be conveniently extended for on-site screening of other antibiotics in foods by simply changing the base sequence of the probes.

A novel label-free, universal, and high throughput aptasensor was developed based on a microchip electrophoresis (MCE) platform for automatic detection of antibiotic residues in food. Firstly, chloramphenicol (CAP) was employed as a model to be captured by its aptamer probe (Apt). Then, the partial complementary oligonucleotide of CAP's aptamer (C-DNA) was introduced into the reaction system. Because the Apt-CAP complex can't further hybrid with free C-DNA, the amount of hybrid Apt-C-DNA double strand DNA (dsDNA) was less than that without adding the target. Finally, the above mixture was introduced into the microchip electrophoresis (MCE) platform for detection, both dsDNA and Apt-CAP can be separated and produce different fluorescence signals in the MCE. In a certain concentration range, the ratio of signal between dsDNA and Apt-CAP (I dsDNA /I Apt-CAP ) was proportional to the concentration of targets. Under the optimum conditions, the ratio showed a satisfactory linearity range from 0.008 to 1ng/mL of CAP with a detection limit of 0.003ng/mL. Thus, a universal MCE-based assay was developed for quantifying CAP automatically. The method was also successfully applied in the different food samples for CAP detection, which showed a good recovery (Milk: 91.1-108%, Fish: 86.1-114%) and the results were consistent with that of ELISA. This method owned many merits as follows: firstly, MCE was a high throughput screening platform and the detection time is limited to 3min for each sample. Secondly, the aptamer probes can be directly used for detection without labeling any signal tag which can facilitate the preparation procedures of probes. Thirdly, the operation was easy just by the following steps: firstly, the mixture of aptamer probes were incubated followed adding C-DNA; then measurement was performed. Moreover, the assay with MCE platform can be used to detect other targets just by changing the corresponding aptamer probe; it can even realize simultaneous detection when the targets have aptamers with different number of base pairs. Some harmful aliphatic diamines, e.g., putrescine (Put) and cadaverine (Cad), play important roles in food safety evaluation. In this study, we proposed on-fiber derivatization solid-phase microextraction analysis of non-volatile aliphatic diamines in fish using zeolitic imidazolate framework 8 (ZIF-8) as a solid-phase microextraction (SPME) coating. It was employed to encapsulate isobutyl chloroformate (IBCF, 40°C, 15min) for aqueous extraction of Put and Cad. After that, the derivatized aliphatic amines were thermally desorbed in the GC injection port and analyzed by GC-MS. The porous and hydrophobic ZIF-8 with high surface area can increase the IBCF loading amount and prevent it from decomposing, thus increasing the amine extraction effectiveness and sensitivity. In SIM mode and using the molecular ion for quantification, the limits of detection for Put and Cad were 27.1 and 33.2μgL -1 , respectively under the optimal conditions. The fiber-to-fiber reproducibility values (RSDs) for three ZIF-8 coated fibers were less than 11.4% for both Put and Cad. The extraction with the new fiber was reproducible for at least 30 cycles without a noticeable decrease of performance (RSD<10%). Herein, a smart single-stranded DNA binding protein (SSB)-assisted fluorescence aptamer switch based on fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) was designed. The FRET switch was synthesized by connecting SSB labeled quantum dots (QDs@SSB) as donor with aptamer (apt) labeled gold nanoparticles (AuNPs@apt) as acceptor, and it was employed for detecting chloramphenicol (CAP) in a homogenous solution. In the assay, the interaction between core-shell QDs@SSB and AuNPs@apt leads to a dramatic quenching (turning off). After adding CAP in the detection system, AuNPs@apt can bind the target specifically then separate QDs@SSB with AuNPs@apt-target, resulting in restoring the fluorescence intensity of QDs (turning on). Consequently, the fluorescence intensity recovers and the recovery extent can be used for detection of CAP in homogenous phase via optical responses. Under optimal conditions, the fluorescence intensity increased linearly with increasing concentrations of CAP from 0.005 to 100ngmL -1 . The limit of this fluorescence aptamer switch was around 3pgmL -1 for CAP detection. When the analyte is changed, the assay can be applied to detect other targets only by changing relative aptamer in AuNPs@apt probe. The present study aimed to explore a novel triple-amplification electrochemiluminescence (ECL) assay for detecting of chloramphenicol (CAP). This strategy was based on single-stranded DNA-binding protein (SSB) and horseradish peroxidase (HRP) enzyme-linked polymer (EnVision reagent, EV) labeled on Au nanoparticles (EV-Au-SSB) as nanotracer and exonuclease-assisted target recycling. The composite probes were prepared via immunoreactions between the CdS nanocrystal (CdS NC)-functionalized partial complementary DNA and aptamer (CdSNCs/Apt-ssDNA1) as capture probes, and EV-Au-SSB as nanotracer. When the composite probe solution co-existed with CAP and Exo I, the aptamer on the capture probes preferentially combined with CAP, and then CAP-Apt and nanotracer complex were released into the solution. Subsequently, Exo I in the solution could further digest the CAP-Apt from the 3'-end of the aptamer and release CAP, which could participate in further reaction with the probes. It was worth mentioning that EV contained a large number of HRPs on its dendritic chain. In the EV-Au-SSB, Au could enhance ECL intensity of CdS NCs by surface plasmon resonance. What's more, HRPs on EV could catalyze the reaction of H2O2, which could obviously enhance ECL intensity of CdS NCs. This study demonstrated excellent performance of the triple-amplification ECL assay, which makes this aptasensor system suitable and promising for the practical application of CAP residues in fish samples. An ultrasensitive electrochemical aptasensor for simultaneous detection of oxytetracycline (OTC) and kanamycin (KAN) has been developed based on metal ions doped metal organic frame materials (MOFs) as signal tracers and RecJ f exonuclease-catalyzed targets recycling amplification. The aptasensor consists of capture beads (the anti-single-stranded DNA Antibody, as anti-ssDNA Ab, labeled on Dynabeads) and nanoscale MOF (NMOF) based signal tracers (simplified as Apts-MNM, the NMOF labeled with metal ions and the aptamers). Particularly, the MOF (UiO-66-NH 2 ), with large internal surface areas, ultrahigh porosity and abundant amine groups in the pores, was employed as substrates to carry plenty of metal ions (Pb 2+ or Cd 2+ ) and label aptamers of OTC or KAN. Thus, the aptasensor is formed by the specific recognition between anti-ssDNA Ab and aptamers. In the presence of targets (OTC and KAN), aptamers prefer to form targets-Apts-MNM complexes in lieu of anti-ssDNA Ab-aptamer complexes, which results in the dissociation of Apts-MNM from capture beads. With the employment of RecJ f exonuclease, targets-Apts-MNM in supernatant was digested into mononucleotides and liberated the target, which can further participate in the next reaction cycling to produce more signal tracers. After magnetic separation, the enhanced square wave voltammetry (SWV) signals were produced from signal tracers. The aptasensor exhibited a linear correlation in the range from 0.5pM to 50nM, with detection limits of 0.18pM and 0.15pM (S/N=3) toward OTC and KAN respectively. In this work, a facile and environmentally friendly solid-phase microextraction assay based on on-fiber derivatization coupled with gas chromatography and mass spectrometry was developed for determining four nonvolatile index biogenic amines (putrescine, cadaverine, histamine, and tyramine) in fish samples. In the assay, the fiber was firstly dipped into a solution with isobutyl chloroformate as derivatization reagent and isooctane as extraction solvent. Thus, a thin organic liquid membrane coating was developed. Then the modified fiber was immersed into sample solution to extract four important bioamines. Afterwards, the fiber was directly inserted into gas chromatography injection port for thermal desorption. 1,7-Diaminoheptane was employed as internal standard reagent for quantification of the targets. The limits of detection of the method were 2.98-45.3 μg/kg. The proposed method was successfully applied to the detection of bioamines in several fish samples with recoveries ranging 78.9-110%. The organic reagent used for extraction was as few as microliter that can greatly reduce the harm to manipulator and environment. Moreover, the extraction procedures were very simple without concentration and elution procedures, which can greatly simplify the pretreatment process. This paper investigates the problem of global exponential anti-synchronization of a class of switched neural networks with time-varying delays and lag signals. Considering the packed circuits, the controller is dependent on the output of the system as the inner states are very hard to measure. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate the controller based on the output of the neuron cell. Through theoretical analysis, it is obvious that the obtained ones improve and generalize the results derived in the previous literature. A quick and specific pretreatment method based on a series of extraction clean-up disks, consisting of molecularly imprinted polymer monoliths and C18 adsorbent, was developed for the specific enrichment of salbutamol and clenbuterol residues in food. The molecularly imprinted monolithic polymer disk was synthesized using salbutamol as a template through a one-step synthesis process. It can simultaneously and specifically recognize salbutamol and clenbuterol. The monolithic polymer disk and series of C18 disks were assembled with a syringe to form a set of tailor-made devices for the extraction of target molecules. In a single run, salbutamol and clenbuterol can be specifically extracted, cleaned, and eluted by methanol/acetic acid/H2 O. The target molecules, after a silylation derivatization reaction were detected by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. The parameters including solvent desorption, sample pH, and the cycles of reloading were investigated and discussed. Under the optimized extraction and clean-up conditions, the limits of detection and quantitation were determined as 0.018-0.022 and 0.042-0.049 ng/g for salbutamol and clenbuterol, respectively. Electrochemical polymerization of luminol molecularly imprinted polymer on carboxyl graphene (MIP/CG) was developed as stir bar sorptive extraction (SBSE) coating for selective pre-concentration and specific recognition of bisphenol A (BPA), hexoestrol and diethylstilbestrol in milk samples. Luminol was employed as monomer and BPA as the template to prepare MIP under 0-0.6V electro-polymerization. Carboxyl graphene was modified on pencil lead as the substrate to increase extraction capacity. The preparation and extraction conditions affecting the extraction efficiency were optimized. Under the optimized conditions, a good linearity of three estrogens was obtained in the range of 4-1000ngmL(-1). The average recoveries at the three spiked levels of the three estrogens ranged from 83.4% to 96.3% with the relative standard deviations (RSD)≤7.1%. The limits of detection were in the range of 0.36-1.09ngmL(-1). A novel sandwich-hybridization assay for simultaneous electrochemical detection of multiple DNA targets related to human immune deficiency virus (HIV) and tuberculosis (TB) was developed based on the different quantum dots-PowerVision(TM) polymer nanotracers. The polymer nanotracers were respectively fabricated by immobilizing SH-labeled oligonucleotides (s-HIV or s-TB), which can partially hybrid with virus DNA (HIV or TB), on gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) and then modified with PowerVision(TM) (PV) polymer-encapsulated quantum dots (CdS or PbS) as signal tags. PV is a dendrimer enzyme linked polymer, which can immobilize abundant QDs to amplify the stripping voltammetry signals from the metal ions (Pb or Cd). The capture probes were prepared through the immobilization of SH-labeled oligonucleotides, which can complementary with HIV and TB DNA, on the magnetic Fe3O4@Au (GMPs) beads. After sandwich-hybridization, the polymer nanotracers together with HIV and TB DNA targets were simultaneously introduced onto the surface of GMPs. Then the two encoding metal ions (Cd(2+) and Pb(2+)) were used to differentiate two viruses DNA due to the different subsequent anodic stripping voltammetric peaks at -0.84 V (Cd) and -0.61 V (Pb). Because of the excellent signal amplification of the polymer nanotracers and the great specificity of DNA targets, this assay could detect targets DNA as low as 0.2 femtomolar and exhibited excellent selectivity with the dynamitic range from 0.5 fM to 500 pM. A high-performance and selective adsorbent was developed for simultaneous extraction of 6 chlorobenzenes residues in soil samples by using magnetic solid phase extraction (MSPE) combined with automated SPE followed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The adsorbent was synthesized by grafting carboxymethyl-β-cyclodextrin (CM-β-CD) on the surface of porous core-shell magnetic Fe3O4@flower like TiO2 microspheres (Fe3O4@fTiO2-CMCD), used as a carrier. The main factors (adsorbent amount, adsorption time, elution solvent, elution volume, and elution flow rate) affecting the extraction efficiency were investigated in detail. The adsorbent exhibited high loading capacity (25.6 mg g(-1) for 1,3-dichlorobenzene). This maybe due to meso-/macroporous TiO2 having high specific surface area; as a carrier of the β-cyclodextrin film, it could obviously increase the number of recognition sites. The newly developed adsorbent also showed good selectivity towards chlorobenzenes based on host-guest interactions between β-cyclodextrin (on adsorbent's surface) and targets, which can minimize complex matrix interference in soil samples. The proposed method was successfully applied for the analysis of environmental soil samples with recovery ranging from 87.3 to 104.3%. All target compounds showed good linearities with correlation coefficients (r) higher than 0.996. The limits of quantitation for the 6 CBs were 0.03-0.09 μg kg(-1). A portable and antibody-free sandwich assay was fabricated for determination of chloramphenicol (CAP) in animal-derived food by a personal glucose meter (PGM). The sandwich-type strategy was developed on the basis of magnetic molecularly imprinted probe (m-MIP) nanoparticles and a β-cyclodextrin/invertase-functionalized signal tag. Firstly, the m-MIPs were fabricated using polydopamine molecularly imprinted film modified Fe3O4 nanoparticles with 2,2-dichloroacetamide as a template that could capture the 2,2-dichloroacetamide segment of CAP. Secondly, β-cyclodextrin/invertase polymer bioconjungate was synthesized as a signal tag that could recognize the nitrobenzene segment of CAP through host-guest interaction. The dual-specificity recognition model relies on the formation of a sandwich between m-MIPs, different segments of CAP, and the β-cyclodextrin-functionalized signal tag. The sandwich-type complex formed was then subjected to detection with a PGM. The complexes can hydrolyze sucrose to glucose, which can be used for detection with a PGM through invertase. According to our experiment, the concentration of CAP was proportional to the amount of glucose formed, which could quantitatively assess the CAP with a dynamic range of 0.5-50 ng mL(-1) and a detection limit of 0.16 ng mL(-1) (signal-to-noise ratio of 3). The detection time of the assay was about 1 h, which was obviously shorter than that of competitive ELISA. More importantly, we have successfully applied this on-site assay for CAP screening in animal-derived food.

In this study, we developed a magnetically multifunctional purifying material for efficient removal of matrix interferences, especially certain organochlorine pesticide (DDT, DDE, and DDD), during the determination of toxic highly chlorinated polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) at trace levels in soil samples. The multifunctional adsorbent (CMCD-NH2-MNPs) was prepared by grafting carboxymethyl-β-cyclodextrin on the surface of amino-functionalized magnetite (Fe3O4) nanoparticles. CMCD-NH2-MNPs has stronger host-guest complexation with DDT, DDE, and DDD, but the same adsorbent shows weaker adsorption ability toward highly chlorinated PCBs (from tetra- to octa-chlorinated PCBs) owing to their steric hindrance effect. Based on this principle, a simple and rapid gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) method was developed for six indicator PCBs (PCB28, PCB52, PCB101, PCB138, PCB153, and PCB180) in soil. Comparative studies were conducted to determine the clean-up efficiency of the following three techniques: (i) Oasis-HLB, (ii) multi-layer silica column, and (iii) dSPE employing CMCD-NH2-MNPs. The results indicate that CMCD-NH2-MNPs as the purification material can easily and effectively remove DDT, DDE, and DDD in soil samples within a short duration of time. The recoveries for highly chlorinated PCBs were in the range of 85.4-102.2%, with RSDs varying between 1.0 and 6.5%. Analysis of tributyltin chloride (TBT) in environmental samples, such as seawater, is important in order to evaluate the TBT contamination and accumulation in the trophic chain. The environmental impact of organotin compounds has been a particular focus of analytical studies. The present study reports the use of molecular imprinting technology coupled with liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) to determine trace amounts of TBT in seawater and seafood (mussel tissue samples). The imprinted polymer was synthesized by a non-covalent free-radical approach using acrylamide (AM) as a monomer and TBT as a template molecule in acetonitrile solvent (polymerization media). The imprinted polymer synthesized by this approach exhibited good adsorptive capacity and allowed specific retention of TBT. Recoveries of TBT in seawater samples spiked with different TBT concentrations ranged from 67.2% to 81.1% with peak area precision (RSD)<3.7%, and recoveries of TBT in mussel tissue samples ranged from 75.0% to 94.2% with RSD<4.8%., (Copyright © 2013 Elsevier B.V. A novel and sensitive sandwich-type electrochemiluminescence (ECL) immunosensor was fabricated on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) for ultra trace levels of α-fetoprotein (AFP) based on sandwich immunoreaction strategy by enrichment using magnetic capture probes and quantum dots coated with Au shell (CdS-Au) as the signal tag. The capture probe was prepared by immobilizing the primary antibody of AFP (Ab1) on the core/shell Fe(3)O(4)-Au nanoparticles, which was first employed to capture AFP antigens to form Fe(3)O(4)-Au/Ab1/AFP complex from the serum after incubation. The product can be separated from the background solution through the magnetic separation. Then the CdS-Au labeled secondary antibody (Ab2) as signal tag (CdS-Au/Ab2) was conjugated successfully with Fe(3)O(4)-Au/Ab1/AFP complex to form a sandwich-type immunocomplex (Fe(3)O(4)-Au/Ab1/AFP/Ab2/CdS-Au), which can be further separated by an external magnetic field and produce ECL signals at a fixed voltage. The signal was proportional to a certain concentration range of AFP for quantification. Thus, an easy-to-use immunosensor with magnetic probes and a quantum dots signal tag was obtained. The immunosensor performed at a level of high sensitivity and a broad concentration range for AFP between 0.0005 and 5.0 ng mL(-1) with a detection limit of 0.2 pg mL(-1). The use of magnetic probes was combined with pre-concentration and separation for trace levels of tumor markers in the serum. Due to the amplification of the signal tag, the immunosensor is highly sensitive, which can offer great promise for rapid, simple, selective and cost-effective detection of effective biomonitoring for clinical application., (Copyright © 2012 Elsevier B.V. A simple, rapid and sensitive electrochemiluminescence (ECL) sensor was proposed for direct measurements of methyl parathion (MP) based on the strong affinity of a nano zirconia particles (ZrO(2) NPs) modified film on the electrode to the phosphoric group. ZrO(2) NPs, which could provide a larger absorption area to immobilize organophosphorus, was firstly modified on the glassy carbon electrode surface to prepare the proposed ECL sensor (ZrO(2)/GC). Subsequently, the ZrO(2)/GC electrode was scanned from -0.8 to +0.6 V to obtain the background signal at 0.44 V in a luminol/KCl solution. Then, a certain concentration of MP was added to an aqueous solution for 240 s, which was absorbed onto the ZrO(2)/GC electrode surface. Moreover, the MP absorbed on the surface of the ZrO(2)/GC electrode enhanced the ECL signal of luminol in the luminol/KCl solution, which increased with the concentration of MP. As a result, a novel ECL sensor was obtained in a luminol/KCl solution. The MP was determined in the range of from 3.8 × 10(-11) to 3.8 × 10(-6) mol L(-1), with a low detection limit of 1.27 × 10(-11) mol L(-1) (S/N = 3). The proposed ECL sensor performance for MP detection will open a new field in the application of rapid and screen detection of ultra-trace amounts of organ phosphorus pesticides (OPs) of vegetables used in farm markets.

A novel supramolecular amperometric immunosensor for the determination of Human Immunodeficiency Virus antigen p24 (HIV p24) was built up using the electrostatic layer-by-layer self-assembly technique upon a gold electrode with HIV p24 antibody (anti-p24) being immobilized on polyelectrolyte/gold nanoparticle multilayer films. The multilayer films were composed of poly(L-lysine) (pLys) and mercaptosuccinic acid (MSA) stabilized Fe(3)O(4)(core)/gold(shell) nano particles (GMPs).The immunosensor preparation steps were monitored by X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRFS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). In pH 6.5 PBS, after the immunosensor was incubated with HIV p24 solution at 25 degrees C for 5 min, the electron transfer access of FeCN is partially inhibited, which leads to a linear decrease of peak current. In addition, the performance of the immunosensor was studied in detail. It offers high-sensitivity for the detection of p24 and has good correlation for the detection of p24 in the range of 0.1 to 100.0 ng/mL with a detection limit of 0.05 ng/mL estimated at a signal-to-noise ratio of 3. The proposed immunosensor was used to analyze p24 in human serum specimens and the results showed the developed immunosensor provides a promising alternative approach for detecting p24 in the early diagnosis of AIDS patients.

We propose an in situ technique for measuring an even aberration of lithographic projection optics. By using the Hopkins theory of partially coherent imaging and the thick-mask model, the linear relationship between the intensity difference of adjacent peaks in an alternating phase-shifting mask image and an even aberration is established by equations and verified by numerical results. The sensitivity of measuring the even aberration of lithographic projection optics based on this linear relationship is analyzed, and the measurement mark is designed accordingly. Measurement performance of the present technique is evaluated using the lithographic simulator PROLITH, which shows that the present technique is capable of measuring the even aberration of lithographic projection optics with ultrahigh measurement accuracy.
