Background and purpose: Familiarity with procedures method makes the patient cooperate. Besides, using virtual reality headsets decreases pain through involving patients in a multidimensional space. Stitching causes the child to not cooperate due to the pain occurring during the procedure. Therefore, this study combined these two methods to investigate the effect of familiarization with stitching through virtual reality headset on children's pain intensity and parents' satisfaction during stitching. Materials and methods: The present study was a clinical trial. The statistical population consisted of 60 children aged 5-7 years with a cut in the limb or head. These children were selected by the convenience method and randomly allocated into two groups. Pain related to laceration was measured using Visual Analog Scale in both groups before the intervention. In the intervention group, virtual headset was used 1 to 3 minutes before stitching (playing 1 minute and 30 seconds animation containing how to stitch and getting familiar with the hospital environment). After the procedure, the child's pain intensity was measured again. Parents were asked to complete a parents' satisfaction questionnaire on pain management after stitching. Finally, the data were analyzed using SPSS V16. Results: The demographic data did not show any significant differences. The results showed a statistically significant difference between the pain intensity of children in the control (8.6±1.67) and intervention (3.97±3.21) groups (P=0.001). Parents' satisfaction (control 48.03±11.76 and intervention 68.83±8.67) with pain management also showed a statistically significant difference between the two groups (P=0.001). Conclusion: It seems that using virtual reality for the purpose of familiarization reduces the intensity of pain in children during stitching and increases parents' satisfaction. Therefore, it is recommended to use this method as a non-drug, safe, non-invasive, and cheap method.

Abstract Carcinoma of the lung is among the most common types of cancer globally. Concerning its histology, it is categorized as a non-small cell carcinoma (NSCLC) and a small cell cancer (SCLC) subtype. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a member of non-coding RNA whose nucleotides range from 19 to 25. They are known to be critical regulators of cancer via epigenetic control of oncogenes expression and by regulating tumor suppressor genes. miRNAs have an essential function in a tumorous microenvironment via modulating cancer cell growth, metastasis, angiogenesis, metabolism, and apoptosis. Moreover, a wide range of information produced via several investigations indicates their tumor-suppressing, oncogenic, diagnostic assessment, and predictive marker functions in different types of lung malignancy. miRNA mimics or anti-miRNAs can be transferred into a lung cancer cell, with possible curative implications. As a result, miRNAs hold promise as targets for lung cancer treatment and detection. In this study, we investigate the different functions of various miRNAs in different types of lung malignancy, which have been achieved in recent years that show the lung cancer-associated regulation of miRNAs expression, concerning their function in lung cancer beginning, development, and resistance to chemotherapy, also the probability to utilize miRNAs as predictive biomarkers for therapy reaction. Objectives Quality of life and subjective vitality are two important components for the elderly. This study aims to study the effect of cognitive rehabilitation and transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) on the quality of life and subjective vitality of older adults with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Methods & Materials This is a quasi-experimental study with a pre-test/post-test/follow-up design. The study population consists of all older adults referred to the Rehabilitation Clinic of Payambaran Hospital in Tehran and diagnosed with MCI based on clinical criteria. Of these, 40 were selected using a convenience sampling method and randomly assigned to two groups of intervention and control. For the intervention group, cognitive rehabilitation plus tDCS was provided at 12 sessions. The LEIPAD quality of life questionnaire and subjective vitality scale of Ryan and Frederick were used to measure the variables. Two-way repeated measures analysis of variance was used to analyze the data in SPSS software, version 25. Vaping is a form of changing conventional cigarettes into electronic cigarettes. Since 2014, the distribution of e-cigarettes throughout the world has become a trend and has reached various groups of consumers. In Indonesia, e-cigarette users continue to increase every year. GATS (Global Adult Tobacco Survey) findings in 2021 submitted by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia found that there was an increase in the prevalence of e-cigarette users up to 10 times compared to the last survey in 2011, from 0.3% to 3% including in the world is increasing, especially in teenagers. This research aims to determine the determinants of electronic cigarette (vape) use among teenagers in Indonesia. This research uses a systematic literature study through searches using the Google Scholar site. The inclusion criteria are the article has been published in a journal, explains the factors of electronic cigarette/vape use among teenagers and the article can be downloaded while the exclusion criteria is the article only form an abstract. Based on these criteria, 13 articles were obtained. As a result, several factors influence the use of electronic cigarettes (vape) among teenagers in Indonesia. These factors include knowledge, perception of e-cigarettes, support from friends and family, cigarette information/advertisement, ease of access to e-cigarettes, price of e-cigarettes, and lifestyle influencing adolescent behavior in using e-cigarettes (vape). There needs to be a policy from the government to regulate the use of e-cigarettes in Indonesia.

This study, therefore, aimed to investigate the psychosocial disturbances before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. The cross-sectional study included 20,885 participants (12,343 females and 8,542 males) with psychosocial trauma who were selected by the census sampling method from Fars province, Iran. The mean age of participants in this study was 35.76 (7.52). The results showed that the incidence rate for psychosocial disturbances was 150.86 and 273.69 per 100,000 cases prior to and during the COVID-19 pandemic, respectively. Analysis showed that reports of spousal abuse, child abuse, elderly abuse, disability abuse, the violence of other relatives, child labor, divorce petition, acute family dispute, unemployment/financial problems, substance abuse, and health questions about COVID-19 increased significantly during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study shows that the COVID-19 pandemic influences the increase of psychopathology and social pathology. Therefore, recommends a comprehensive assessment to prevent and address the psychosocial consequences associated with COVID-19.

Abstract Cancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide, making early detection and accurate diagnosis critical for effective treatment and improved patient outcomes. In recent years, machine learning (ML) has emerged as a powerful tool for cancer detection, enabling the development of innovative algorithms that can analyze vast amounts of data and provide accurate predictions. This review paper aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the various ML algorithms and techniques employed for cancer detection, highlighting recent advancements, challenges, and future directions in this field. The main challenge is finding a safe, auditable and reliable analysis method for fundamental scientific publication. Food contaminant analysis is a process of testing food products to identify and quantify the presence of harmful substances or contaminants. These substances can include bacteria, viruses, toxins, pesticides, heavy metals, allergens, and other chemical residues. Machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (A.I) proposed as a promising method that possesses excellent potential to extract information with high validity that may be overlooked with conventional analysis techniques and for its capability in a wide range of investigations. A.I technology used in meta-optics can develop optical devices and systems to a higher level in future. Tight frames and g-frames are extremely useful in applications. A scalable frame was recentlyintroduced as a frame with the property of generating a tight frame by rescaling its frame vectors. In thispaper, we generalize this concept to g-frames, introduce scalable g-frames, obtain some characterizationsfor them, and demonstrate that scalability is stable under unitary operators and isomorophisms betweentwo Hilbert spaces. In addition, we consider Paley-Wiener perturbations of g-frames and achieve someresults regarding the preservation of their g-frame property.

Today, the use of electrical energy storage has a significant role in flatting the load curve, peak shaving, increasing reliability and also increasing the penetration of distributed generation, reducing carbon emissions, and reducing network losses. In this article, a three-echelon power supply chain is investigated considering energy storage as a new level in the power supply chain. The model in this article is an integrated model of locating and capacity planning of distributed energy storage with the aim of maximizing profit and reliability, which is modeled with two different approaches. The first model is modeled from the point of view of the distribution network as the owner of the energy storage and the second model is modeled from the perspective of the electricity subscribers as the owner of the energy storage. Finally, the model is solved by GAMS software and the results of sensitivity analysis are presented. According to the obtained results, the presented model is the most sensitive to the changes in demand and production, and the owners of energy storage should be sensitive to the changes in production and demand in different seasons of the year in order to get the maximum profit.

Introduction Medicinal plants have long had a special role in the traditional ‎agricultural system of Iran and the use of these plants as medicine to prevent and treat diseases has been considered by ‎traditional medicine experts since ancient times. Medicinal plants with rich sources of secondary metabolites provide the ‎basic active ingredients of many medicines. Although the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites is genetically controlled, ‎but their construction is strongly influenced by environmental factors. One of the important climatic factors that affect the ‎distribution of plants around the world and can cause morphological, physiological and biochemical changes in the plant is ‎the lack of available water. Basil seems to show little resistance to water stress. For this reason, there is a need for protective mechanisms for the ‎basil plant against stress due to water shortage. Plants are able to reduce or eliminate the effects of water shortage ‎stress by coexisting with a number of soil microorganisms. Inoculation of the plants with Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) has been exploited as an applicable strategy for reducing detrimental effects of water deficit stress. Present study was performed to evaluate the effects of three AMF on some physiological responses of Ocimum basilicum under water deficit stress. Materials and Methods The pot experiments were conducted as factorial based on completely randomized design blocks with three replications. The experimental factors were three AMF namely Glomus etunicatum, Glomus mosseae and Glomus intraradices and various soil moisture including severe stress, moderate stress, mild stress. Water stress was applied from the beginning to the end of flowering stage. After flowering stage, plants ‎were harvested and traits such as total phenols and flavonoids, antioxidant ‎capacity (DPPH), malondialdehyde (MDA), catalase and peroxidase enzymes were measured. To analyze the data, first the test of data normality and uniformity of variance within the treatment was performed and confirmed. The mean of treatments was compared by Duncan test at the level of 5% probability. SAS software (Ver. 9.3) was used to analyze the data and Excel software was used to draw the graphs. Results and Discussion The results of analysis of variance of the effect of mycorrhiza fungus and soil moisture on the studied parameters show that the effect of different levels of soil moisture on all traits was significant. The results of analysis of variance also showed that the effect of mycorrhiza on phenol and total flavonoids, antioxidant activity, catalase and peroxidase and malondialdehyde was significant at the level of one percent probability. According to the results of analysis of variance, the interaction effect of mycorrhiza on soil moisture on antioxidant activity was significant at 5% probability level and on total phenols and flavonoids, malondialdehyde, catalase and peroxidase at 1% probability level. Results showed that AMFs improve activity of catalase and peroxidase, antioxidant capacity and total phenols which led to decrease malondialdehyde content. Antioxidants as physiologically active compounds play an important role in plant resistance to stress. Increased oxygen species due to dehydration stress are a warning sign for plants and increase the activity of antioxidant enzymes. The plant's defense system increases the production of antioxidant enzymes to neutralize toxic oxygen forms, and fungi improve the intensity of this increase, which may be due to the chemical structure of the metal isoenzymes copper, zinc, and manganese. Factors sent to make antioxidant enzymes also contain the elements zinc and calcium. Mycorrhizal fungi increase the absorption of nutrients by sending more hormonal factors and increasing the activity of enzymes, all of which can be effective in increasing the activity of antioxidant enzymes. Conclusion When plants are exposed to dehydration stress, reactive oxygen species in them increase. The expression of antioxidant genes and the activity of antioxidants to eliminate reactive oxygen species are increased and the antioxidant defense system is improved and the tolerance to dehydration stress in the plant is increased. Scientists believe that peroxidase is involved in metabolic processes such as hormone catabolism, defense against pathogens, phenol oxidation, binding to cell structural proteins and cell wall polysaccharides. Present study revealed that application of AMFs can be good strategy for reducing harmful effects of water deficit stress in plants. Research has also shown that impregnating seeds with mycorrhiza increases antioxidants and reduces the amount of reactive oxygen species, a characteristic of resistance induction that occurs by this antagonist. ‎ ‎

This paper describes the implementation of a low power and high-speed encryption algorithm with high throughput for encrypting the image. Therefore, we select a highly secured symmetric key encryption algorithm AES(Advanced Encryption Standard), in order to decrease the power using retiming and glitch and operand isolation techniques in four stages, control unit based on logic gates, optimal design of multiplier blocks in mixcolumn phase and simultaneous production keys and rounds. Such procedure makes AES suitable for fast image encryption. Implementation of a 128-bit AES on FPGA of Altera Company has been done, and the results are as follows: throughput, 6.5 Gbps in 441.5 MHz and 130mw power consumption. The time of encrypting in tested image with 32*32 sizes is 1.25ms.

The role of trace elements and toxic metals on human health has been extensively discussed concerning disease pathogenesis and risk factors of diseases. In this systematic review and meta-analysis, we aimed to investigate arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd), lead (Pb), iron (Fe), zinc (Zn), and magnesium (Mg) levels in individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS) and healthy controls. We searched different databases/search engines for this systematic review and meta-analysis, including Web of Science, PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar, until June 27, 2024. Out of 5466 studies identified, 65 met our eligibility criteria and were included in the systematic review. For the meta-analysis, 58 studies with 10420 participants (5316 multiple sclerosis patients and 5104 healthy controls) had adequate data for inclusion. Maintaining access to a sustainable water resource is becoming increasingly difficult in the midst of the ongoing global water crisis, emphasizing the importance of investing in alternative resources such as desalinated water. Throughout history, the desalination industry has adapted to the specific needs of an era or different environmental conditions by incorporating cutting-edge technologies. The general theme of this paper is the past, the present, and the future of the desalination industry. As such, this research aims to examine the evolution of the desalination industry over time, understand its current state, and ultimately use this knowledge to highlight some important considerations for its future. This review highlighted the immense influence of the energy market on the prevalence of desalination technology in a given region and/or eras. The information gathered here indicates that other sectors, such as agriculture, may need to rely on this unconventional water supply in the future, but there are certain factors ranging from socioeconomic to environmental concerns that need continued and increased research to facilitate the long-term, sustainable development of this practice. Phenolic acids such as rosmarinic acid (RA) and caffeic acid (CA), are the most significant phenolic compounds in Lamiaceae family, including Salvia species. The aim of this study was to evaluate the RA and CA contents of Salvia aegyptiaca (SA) methanol extract and its antioxidant activity. RA and CA analysis were performed by HPTLC-image analysis. UV-VIS spectrophotometry was used for the evaluation of the phenolic acid. The samples were spotted on a HPTLC plate silica gel. The toluene- ethyl acetate- formic acid was used as mobile phase. Plates were scanning at 366 nm and absorption mode was scanned. Finally, the image of plates was obtained by visualizer at 254 and 366 nm and visible wavelengths. This Method was then validated in terms of precision and accuracy at inter- day and intra-day. The extracts were screened to determine antioxidant activity using the DPPH radical scavenging assay, FRAP, ABTS, ORAC, Nitric oxide scavenging ability and cellular antioxidant activity. The RA and CA contents of extracts were 11.33±0.36 and 6.36±4.7 mg/g respectively. The SA were able to scavenge free radicals such as DPPH•, NO• and O2•–, and the ability to reduce Fe3+, as well. This activity highly associated with RA and CA contents. Developed HPTLC method is rapid, simple and reliable and it is suggested to use in routine assay of Salvia sp. extracts containing RA and CA which are a generally marker in various plant. Moreover, SA could be considered as natural source of antioxidants.

The present study aimed to investigate the prevalence and related factors of under-nutrition among under 5-year-old children in Fars province, Iran. Methods: This cross-sectional survey was conducted during 2017-2018 in Fars province of Iran. The study consisted of 606 children (0-59 months) from 13 regions of Fars province. A structured questionnaire collected the data, and under-nutrition indices, including stunting, wasting, and underweight, were investigated by the mixed-effects ordinal logistic regression model. Results: The prevalence of stunting, underweight, and wasting were 2%, 4%, and 4.1%, respectively. Low birth weight was a risk factor for three undernutrition indices (P < 0.001; P < 0.001; and P = 0.004). Urban children were significantly more underweight and wasted than rural children (P = 0.001; and P = 0.002, respectively). Under-nutrition rates were impressed by the family size, mother's education, and father's occupation. Conclusion: The prevalence of undernutrition in children can be reduced by identifying and controlling significant factors, including birth weight, maternal education, type of settlement, family size, and father's occupation.
