The article features Randel Rogers, an Ohio Army National Guard logistics specialist, and his contributions to Nature Iraq, one of the first environmental organizations in Iraq. The largely self-trained naturalist wants to document Iraq's rich wildlife. Through donations of equipment and funds from Columbus Audubon and the Ohio Ornithological Society, he has provided Nature Iraq with Arabic field guides, telescopes, binoculars and five-animal traps.
