Ethernet circuit based on IEEE 802.3 has been widely used in the field of rail transit. Open systems interconnection (OSI) model divides Ethernet into seven layers, of which the physical layer (PHY) belongs to the first layer, which is mainly responsible for converting Ethernet signals into specific electrical signals and transmitting them to Ethernet cables, and plays a very important role in the interconnection between different network interfaces. In order to improve the reliability of train network system based on Ethernet and improve the quality of train communication, this paper designs and studies the physical layer circuit of train Ethernet, including PHY chip filtering and impedance matching, the application of different xMII (medium independent interface) interfaces, EMC protection, factors in the consistency test of network interface and PCB layout and wiring rules, and designs an Ethernet physical layer circuit according to the research results. The application results show that the designed circuit is suitable for the field of train Ethernet communication, and has strong EMC protection ability and high reliability.

Here the authors perform a genome-wide CRISPR-Cas9 knockout screen to systematically identify and characterize essential and growth-restricting genes in human trophoblast cells. They identify TEAD1 as a key regulator that plays an important role in the specification, maintenance, and differentiation of the human trophoblast lineage by modulating chromatin architecture and gene expression.

Abstract Background Lycopene epsilon-cyclase (ε-LCY) is a key enzyme in the carotenoid biosynthetic pathway (CBP) of higher plants. In previous work, we cloned two Ntε-LCY genes from allotetraploid tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum), Ntε-LCY2 and Ntε-LCY1, and demonstrated the overall effect of Ntε-LCY genes on carotenoid biosynthesis and stress resistance. However, their genetic and functional characteristics require further research in polyploid plants. Results Here, we used CRISPR/Cas9 to obtain Ntε-LCY2 and Ntε-LCY1 mutants in allotetraploid N.tabacum K326. Ntε-LCY2 and Ntε-LCY1 had similar promoter cis-acting elements, including light-responsive elements. The Ntε-LCY genes were expressed in roots, stems, leaves, flowers, and young fruit, and their highest expression levels were found in leaves. Ntε-LCY2 and Ntε-LCY1 genes responded differently to normal light and high light stress. Both the Ntε-LCY2 and the Ntε-LCY1 mutants had a more rapid leaf growth rate, especially ntε-lcy2-1. The expression levels of CBP genes were increased in the ntε-lcy mutants, and their total carotenoid content was higher. Under both normal light and high light stress, the ntε-lcy mutants had higher photosynthetic capacities and heat dissipation levels than the wild type, and this was especially true of ntε-lcy2-1. The reactive oxygen species content was lower in leaves of the ntε-lcy mutants. Conclusion In summary, the expression patterns and biological functions of the Ntε-LCY genes Ntε-LCY1 and Ntε-LCY2 differed in several respects. The mutation of Ntε-LCY2 was associated with a greater increase in the content of chlorophyll and various carotenoid components, and it enhanced the stress resistance of tobacco plants under high light.

BackgroundAs an important early source of IL-17A and IL-22 in immune responses, type 3 innate lymphoid cells (ILC3s) are critically regulated by the transcription factor retinoic-acid-receptor-related orphan receptor gamma t (RORγt). Previously, we have identified a crucial role of the conserved non-coding sequence 9 (CNS9), located at +5,802 to +7,963 bp of the Rorc gene, in directing T helper 17 differentiation and related autoimmune disease. However, whether cis-acting elements regulate RORγt expression in ILC3s is unknown.ResultsHere we show that CNS9 deficiency in mice not only decreases ILC3 signature gene expression and increases ILC1-gene expression features in total ILC3s, but also leads to generation of a distinct CD4+NKp46+ ILC3 population, though the overall numbers and frequencies of RORγt+ ILC3s are not affected. Mechanistically, CNS9 deficiency selectively decreases RORγt expression in ILC3s, which thus alters ILC3 gene expression features and promotes cell-intrinsic generation of CD4+NKp46+ ILC3 subset.ConclusionOur study thus identifies CNS9 as an essential cis-regulatory element controlling the lineage stability and plasticity of ILC3s through modulating expression levels of RORγt protein.

Abstract The development of low‐cost, green, and pollution‐free counter electrode materials with high catalytic activity plays a critical role in improving the photovoltaic performance of dye‐sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). In recent years, transition metal phosphides have been widely used in DSSCs due to their outstanding catalytic activity and stability. Herein, a novel binary phosphide is immobilized on carbon paper (CP) by a two‐step strategy. This strategy involves the preparation of WO3 precursor by the hydrothermal method, and synthesis of tungsten phosphide (WP) with the vapor deposition method, which finally leads to the uniform dispersion of WP on carbon paper. The acquired WP/CP counter electrode demonstrates high electrical conductivity and prefect catalytic ability for reducing triiodide, and the DSSCs assembled with WP/CP counter electrode achieve a high‐power conversion efficiency of 10.29%, which is superior to that of the Pt‐based (7.34%). These findings illustrate that the WP microsheets in‐situ grown on carbon paper are a potential candidate to replace Pt as an economical and efficient counter electrode for DSSCs.

BackgroundMost studies have reported fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) as an effective secondary option for Crohn’s disease (CD). However, there is little data on FMT as a first-line treatment for CD. In our study we explore the rates of clinical and endoscopic remission and mucosal healing after FMT plus partial enteral nutrition (PEN), as a first-line treatment for active CD in children.MethodsWe retrospectively enrolled pediatric CD patients who underwent PEN or PEN plus FMT treatment at diagnosis from November 2016 to July 2019 at the Pediatric Department, Tongji Hospital. The two groups were defined as FMT group (repeated and multiple doses of FMT plus PEN) or PEN group (PEN alone). All the patients received PEN intervention. At baseline and week 8- 10, the FMT group was administered multiple doses of FMT to help induce and maintain remission. All patients were evaluated at week 8- 10 and 18-22 via clinical and relevant laboratory parameters and endoscopic results. The clinical and endoscopic remission and mucosal healing rates were compared between the two groups at different time points after the therapy.ResultsTwenty-five newly diagnosed active CD patients were included in the study, containing 7 females and 18 males with a median age of 11. 1 ± 2.3 years. 13 and 12 patients were assigned to the PEN and FMT groups, respectively. At week 8-10, clinical remission was obtained in 83.3% and 53.8% of the FMT and PEN groups, respectively (p=0.202). The endoscopic remission rates were 72.7% for FMT and 25.0% for PEN (p=0.039), whereas the mucosal healing rates were 27.2% for FMT and 0% for PEN (p=0.093). At week 18-22, clinical remission was achieved in 72.7% and 20.0% of patients in the FMT and PEN groups, respectively (p=0.03). Theendoscopic remission rates were 66.6% and 12.5% in the FMT and PEN groups, respectively (p=0.05), whereas the mucosal healing rates were 55.5% and 0% in FMT and PEN groups, respectively (p=0.029).ConclusionThis study demonstrate that FMT plus PEN can be used as a first-line treatment for active CD in children.

The study evaluates the outcomes of including varicella vaccines (VarV) in the local expanded programme on immunization (EPI) on the seropositivity rates and corresponding protective effects for children aged 3–6 years in Suzhou. The study is observational. Varicella prevalence in children was assessed based on data from the China Information System for Disease Control and Prevention (CISDCP) and the Jiangsu Province Vaccination Integrated Service Management Information System (JPVISMIS). Seropositivity was determined using the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). A total of 2,873 children aged 3–6 years were enrolled in this study. The seropositivity rates were 95.31% and 86.89% for children with and without the strategy, respectively. The difference in seropositivity rate in children using the different strategies was statistically significant (Trend χ2 = 0.397, P = .255). It is therefore suggested that Suzhou had a high rate of occult infection before the inclusion of varicella vaccine in the EPI. BackgroundThe quantitative level and kinetics of neutralizing antibodies (NAbs) in individuals with Omicron breakthrough infections may differ from those of vaccinated individuals without infection. Therefore, we aimed to evaluate the difference in NAb levels to distinguish the breakthrough cases from the post-immunized population to identify early infected person in an outbreak epidemic when nasal and/or pharyngeal swab nucleic acid real-time PCR results were negative.MethodsWe collected 1077 serum samples from 877 individuals, including 189 with Omicron BA.2 breakthrough infection and 688 post-immunized participants. NAb titers were detected using the surrogate virus neutralization test, and were log(2)-transformed to normalize prior to analysis using Student’s unpaired t-tests. Geometric mean titers (GMT) were calculated with 95% confidence intervals (CI). Linear regression models were used to identify factors associated with NAb levels. We further conducted ROC curve analysis to evaluate the NAbs’ ability to identify breakthrough infected individuals in the vaccinated population.ResultsThe breakthrough infection group had a consistently higher NAb levels than the post-immunized group according to time since the last vaccination. BackgroundSeveral cellular and animal studies have suggested that lipoxin A4 (LXA4) has a protective effect on type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) development. However, little is known about whether LXA4 influences T2DM development at the population level.MethodsWe included 2755 non-diabetic participants from a cohort study in China who were followed for about seven years. Cox proportional hazards model was used to estimate hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) for the association between LXA4 and incident T2DM. Mediation models were used to examine how serum lipids as mediators impact the association between LXA4 and T2DM.ResultsIn total, 172 newly diagnosed T2DM cases were identified. Multivariate-adjusted HR for T2DM in the fourth compared with the first quartile of LXA4 was 0.62 (95% CI: 0.40-0.96). When used the optimal cutoff value determined by the receiver operating characteristic curve, the results showed participants with LXA4 > 2.84 ng/mL had a decreased T2DM risk compared to those with LXA4 ≤ 2.84 ng/mL (HR: 0.63, 95% CI: 0.45-0.89). The effect of LXA4 on incident T2DM was significantly modified by gender (P-interaction = 0.024) and family history of diabetes (P-interaction = 0.025). Additionally, the association between LXA4 and incident T2DM was partially suppressed by the TyG and TG/HDL-c ratio, with a suppression proportion of 22.2% and 16.0%, respectively.ConclusionsHigher LXA4 levels are significantly associated with a lower risk of T2DM development. The present findings would be helpful in understanding the effect of LXA4 on T2DM development at the population level.

【Objective】Acid invertase (SAI) plays an important role in litchi sugar metabolism. The litchi LcSAI promoter is cloned and analyzed in order to provide a theoretical basis for the research on the function of LcSAI in regulating litchi sugar metabolism.【Method】With the pulp of Feizixiao litchi as test material, according to the litchi genome sequence information, the 1 500 bp promoter sequence upstream of LcSAI gene was cloned. At the same time, the transcription start sites, cis-acting elements and CpG islands in the promoter sequences were predicted and analyzed by bioinformatics tools.【Result】A 1 514 bp LcSAI promoter sequence was cloned. In addition to a large number of promoter core elements such as TATA-box and enhancer element CAAT-box, promoter cis-acting elements also had light-responsive cis-elements, hormone response elements, anaerobic inducible response elements, and MYB binding sites, MYC binding sites and some cis-acting elements of unknown function. There may be three core promoter regions in the LcSAI promoter sequence. TheLcSAI promoter region did not predict CpG islands that met the defined conditions.【Conclusion】The LcSAI gene promoter is related to adversity stress. It is predicted that LcSAI plays an important role in the physiological process of litchi resisting adversity stress.

Abstract Background Banana fruits are rich in various high-value metabolites and play a key role in the human diet. Of these components, carotenoids have attracted considerable attention due to their physiological role and human health care functions. However, the accumulation patterns of carotenoids and genome-wide analysis of gene expression during banana fruit development have not been comprehensively evaluated. Results In the present study, an integrative analysis of metabolites and transcriptome profiles in banana fruit with three different development stages was performed. A total of 11 carotenoid compounds were identified, and most of these compounds showed markedly higher abundances in mature green and/or mature fruit than in young fruit. Results were linked to the high expression of carotenoid synthesis and regulatory genes in the middle and late stages of fruit development. Co-expression network analysis revealed that 79 differentially expressed transcription factor genes may be responsible for the regulation of LCYB (lycopene β-cyclase), a key enzyme catalyzing the biosynthesis of α- and β-carotene. Conclusions Collectively, the study provided new insights into the understanding of dynamic changes in carotenoid content and gene expression level during banana fruit development.

The thermal fatigue behavior of multicomponent Al-7Si-0.3Mg alloys in four different treatment states at typical temperature amplitudes 20 °C→350 °C was studied. The morphology of the second phase particles and crack propagation, and distribution characteristics of dislocations in the thermal fatigue specimens of multicomponent Al-7Si-0.3Mg alloys, were analyzed by optical microscopy (OM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDAX spectrum), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The influencing factors, the process, and the mechanism of thermal fatigue crack propagation were mainly studied. The results show that under the same temperature amplitude, the thermal fatigue properties and dislocation densities of the new aluminum alloy and the new aluminum alloy under T6 heat treatment are significantly higher than that of the multicomponent Al-7Si-0.3Mg alloy in cast and refined and modified treatment. The crack growth of thermal fatigue specimen depends on three factors: the temperature amplitude, oxidation, and residual stress. The process of thermal fatigue crack propagation mainly experiences crack initiation and the formation of microcracks, but only a few microcracks continue to expand rapidly or preferentially expand into main cracks. The mechanism of thermal fatigue crack propagation is mainly under the action of thermal stress, the crack tip undergoes a cycle of repeated alternation of sharpening → passivation → sharpening, and the crack continues to move forward from its tip intermittently in the way of propagation → stopping → propagation until fracture failure.

Abstract Background Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a huge challenge worldwide. Although previous studies have suggested that type I interferon (IFN-I) could inhibit the virus replication, the expression characteristics of IFN-I signaling-related miRNAs (ISR-miRNAs) during acute severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection and its relationship with receptor-binding domain (RBD) IgG antibody response at the recovery phase remain unclear. Methods Expression profiles of 12 plasma ISR-miRNAs in COVID-19 patients and healthy controls were analyzed using RT-qPCR. The level of RBD-IgG antibody was determined using the competitive ELISA. Spearman correlation was done to measure the associations of plasma ISR-miRNAs with clinical characteristics during acute SARS-CoV-2 infection and RBD-IgG antibody response at the recovery phase. Based on the microseismic monitoring data, the time-frequency characteristics of the rockburst events induced by mining in 13200 working face of Gengcun Coal Mine of Henan Energy and Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd. and microseismic events before the rockburst events are analyzed by using fast fourier transform, wavelet packet transform and Hilbert-Huang transform. The results show that the main frequency of rockburst is within 10 Hz, and the main frequency of the microseismic event waveform before rockburst is within 100 Hz. The highest energy distribution frequency band is within 5 when rockburst occurs. The highest energy distribution frequency band of the previous three microseismic events waveforms is about 10. The instantaneous energy of the six microseismic event waveforms before rockburst is not high, indicating that there is a silent period of energy before rockburst occurs. Based on the time-frequency characteristics of rockburst events and microseismic events before rockburst, the precursor characteristics of rockburst are obtained. The main frequency of the microseismic event waveform is within 100 Hz, the highest energy distribution frequency band is within 10, and the instantaneous energy is less than 1-5.

Objective Despite the strong correlation between elevated alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and hypertension, their bi-directional and temporal relationship are currently unclear. Our study aimed to explore the bi-directional and temporal association between elevated ALT (ALT > 40 U/L) and hypertension. Methods Measurements of alanine aminotransferase and blood pressure were obtained twice from 2013 to 2017 in 3314 Chinese adults without cardiovascular disease at baseline. Bi-directional and cross-lagged panel analyses were performed to dissect the temporal relationship between elevated ALT and hypertension. Results Longitudinally, we found that baseline elevated ALT was strongly correlated with incident hypertension (odds ratios = 2.16, P = .001), and baseline hypertension was also significantly associated with incident elevated ALT (odds ratios = 1.64, P = .026). The cross-lagged path coefficients from baseline ALT to follow-up blood pressure were significantly greater than that from baseline blood pressure to follow-up ALT (β: 0.043 vs. 0.026, P

Abstract The drought-adapted shrub guayule (Parthenium argentatum) produces rubber, a natural product of major commercial importance, and two co-products with potential industrial use: terpene resin and the carbohydrate fructan. The rubber content of guayule plants subjected to water stress is higher compared to that of well-irrigated plants, a fact consistently reported in guayule field evaluations. To better understand how drought influences rubber biosynthesis at the molecular level, a comprehensive transcriptome database was built from drought-stressed guayule stem tissues using de novo RNA-seq and genome-guided assembly, followed by annotation and expression analysis. Despite having higher rubber content, most rubber biosynthesis related genes were down-regulated in drought-stressed guayule, compared to well-irrigated plants, suggesting post-transcriptional effects may regulate drought-induced rubber accumulation. On the other hand, terpene resin biosynthesis genes were unevenly affected by water stress, implying unique environmental influences over transcriptional control of different terpene compounds or classes. Finally, drought induced expression of fructan catabolism genes in guayule and significantly suppressed these fructan biosynthesis genes. It appears then, that in guayule cultivation, irrigation levels might be calibrated in such a regime to enable tunable accumulation of rubber, resin and fructan.

Abstract Background Serum lipid abnormalities are generally considered as a major risk factor for type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). However, evidence for the effect of long-term serum lipid fluctuations on future T2DM probability remains limited. Methods A total of 4475 nondiabetic participants who underwent annual health examinations between 2010 and 2013 were followed for the subsequent 5-year risk of T2DM. The Cox proportional hazards model was performed to evaluate the associations of visit-to-visit variabilities and trajectories of triglycerides (TG), total cholesterol (TC), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-c) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-c) with T2DM probability. Results During the five-year follow-up, 223 newly developed T2DM cases were identified. Compared with the “Low” TG trajectory, “Moderate” and “Moderate-High” TG trajectories were significantly associated with T2DM incidence, with adjusted hazard ratios (HRs) and 95 % confidence intervals (CIs) of 1.51 (1.12-2.03) and 2.55 (1.62-4.03), respectively. Additionally, participants in the third and fourth quartiles of TG/standard deviation (SD) were associated with increased T2DM probability when compared with those in the lowest quartile. After excluding individuals with prediabetes, participants with “Moderate-High” TG trajectory still had a 2.43-fold greater risk of T2DM compared with those with “Low” TG trajectory (95 % CI: 1.28-4.63). In addition, compared with participants in “Low” HDL-c trajectory, the future T2DM probability was significantly reduced in those with “Moderate” and “High” HDL-c trajectories, with HR (95 % CI) of 0.52 (0.37-0.72) and 0.38 (0.18-0.80), respectively. After excluding individuals with prediabetes, the “Moderate” HDL-c trajectory remained associated with decreased T2DM probability when compared with “Low” HDL-c trajectory (HR: 0.55, 95 % CI: 0.35-0.88). However, the incidence of T2DM was not associated with the long-term fluctuations of TC and LDL-c. Conclusions Long-term visit-to-visit variability of TG, and the change trajectories of TG and HDL-c were significantly associated with future T2DM probability. Moreover, these associations were not affected after excluding individuals with prediabetes.

Abstract Centenarians, who show mild infections and low incidence of tumors, are the optimal model to investigate healthy aging. However, longevity related immune characteristics has not been fully revealed largely due to lack of appropriate controls. In this study, single‐cell transcriptomic analysis of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) derived from seven centenarians (CEN), six centenarians’ offspring (CO), and nine offspring spouses or neighbors (Control, age‐matched to CO) are performed to investigate the shared immune features between CEN and CO. The results indicate that among all 12 T cell clusters, the cytotoxic‐phenotype‐clusters (CPC) and the naïve‐phenotype‐clusters (NPC) significantly change between CEN and ontrol. Compared to Control, both CEN and CO are characterized by depleted NPC and increased CPC, which is dominated by CD8+ T cells. Furthermore, CPC from CEN and CO share enhanced signaling pathways and transcriptional factors associated with immune response, and possesse similar T‐cell‐receptor features, such as high clonal expansion. Interestingly, rather than a significant increase in GZMK+ CD8 cells during aging, centenarians show accumulation of GZMB+ and CMC1+ CD8 T cells. Collectively, this study unveils an immune remodeling pattern reflected by both quantitative increase and functional reinforcement of cytotoxic T cells which are essential for healthy aging.

ObjectiveTo determine the safety and efficacy of vedolizumab for the prophylaxis and treatment of gastrointestinal involvement of acute graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) (GI-aGVHD).MethodsLiterature search within PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library for observational studies and clinical trials that evaluated the effect of vedolizumab on GI-aGVHD was done through 17 May 2022. A bivariate and random-effect meta-analysis derived the pooled observational percentages and pooled risk ratios (RRs) from baseline of primary endpoints including overall response, complete response, mortality, and adverse events.ResultsThere was a total of 122 participants in eight eligible studies, including one study on the prophylactic use of vedolizumab and seven studies on vedolizumab for the treatment of GI-aGVHD. Of seven studies that reported details on baseline grades of GI-aGVHD, a total of 47 patients (47.95%) were of stage 4, 31 patients (31.63%) were of stage 3, 10 patients (10.2%) were of stage 2, and 10 patients (10.2%) were of stage 1. The use of vedolizumab for the treatment of GI-aGVHD yielded a significantly improved objective response rate (ORR) at 14 days (pooled ORR = 60.53%, pooled RR = 14.14, 95% CI: 2.95–67.71), 28 days (pooled ORR = 50%, RR = 7.36, 95% CI = 2.14–25.37), and 12 months (pooled ORR = 76.92%, RR = 13.66, 95% CI = 3.5–53.35) from baseline. Likewise, the use of vedolizumab was followed by a significantly improved complete response (CR) at 12 months (pooled CR = 27.27%, RR = 5.50, 95% CI = 1.01–29.95), yet the CR at 14 days and 28 days did not reach statistical significance. Fifty-seven out of 87 (pooled overall survival, OS = 34.5%) and 46 out of 65 (pooled OS = 29.2%) patients expired at 6 and 12 months after the use of vedolizumab, respectively. Prophylactic use of vedolizumab was not associated with any specific type of reported adverse events, while patients with GI-aGVHD on vedolizumab presented with significantly increased risks of adverse events including infections (RR = 7.55) and impaired metabolism or nutritional complications (RR = 9.00). All analyses were of a low heterogeneity (all I-squares = 0%).ConclusionVedolizumab was safe and effective for the prophylaxis and management of early grade GI-aGVHD. BackgroundFecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) is an effective treatment for intestinal and extra-intestinal disorders. Nonetheless, long-term safety and efficacy remain major challenges for FMT applications. To date, few long-term follow-up studies have been published on FMT in children.MethodsRetrospective reviewed the medical charts of 74 patients who underwent 508 FMT courses between August 2014 and July 2019 at our medical center. All the FMT procedures followed uniform standards. Baseline characteristics pre-FMT and follow-up data were collected at 1, 3, 6, 12, 36, 60, and 84 months after FMT. All potential influencing factors for adverse events (AEs) were analyzed and assessed using regression analyses.ResultsA total of 70 (13.7%) short-term AEs occurred in twenty-six patients (35.1%). Most AEs (88.5%) occurred within 2 days post-FMT. A total of 91.4% of the AEs were self-limiting. Ulcerative colitis (UC) and within four times of FMT were associated with a higher rate of AEs (p = 0.028 and p = 0.021, respectively). The primary clinical remission rate after FMT was as high as 72.9%. Twenty-five children were followed for more than 5 years after FMT. The clinical remission rates gradually decreased over time after FMT. During follow-up, none of the patients developed autoimmune, metabolic, or rheumatologic disorders or tumor-related diseases. However, nine children developed rhinitis, five developed rhinitis, were underweight, and six developed constipation.ConclusionsFMT is a safe and effective treatment for dysbiosis in children. In view of the problems of constant speed and single carbon emission calculation method in the distribution model of fresh agricultural products in the transportation link of agricultural supply chain, combined with the time-varying characteristics of road network and the new multi vehicle carbon emission calculation method, this study put forward the distribution route optimization model of fresh agricultural products with four optimization objectives, which were the distribution distance, multi vehicle carbon emission, goods loss and vehicle fixed cost. In this model, the calculation of fuel consumption and carbon emission in the model would be affected by many factors, among which the load is the most important factor: Firstly, the average fuel consumption per 100 km of different trucks was calculated, then the CO2 emission factors of various trucks were calculated according to the carbon balance principle, and finally the average value of the results of each truck was taken as the carbon emission factor of the vehicle. According to those characteristics of the model, an improved double strategies co-evolutionary ant colony system (DC-ACS) was proposed. In this study, the main method was used to transform the problem into a solvable single objective problem. Then, the ant colony algorithm combined the coevolution mechanism, adaptive pheromone update strategy and local search mechanism were used to improve the solution effect of the algorithm. Finally, an appropriate fitness calculation method and stagnation avoidance strategy were designed to enhance the ability of the algorithm to jump out of local optimization. The C105 example of Solomon dataset was solved by using the improved ant colony algorithm. The optimal solutions on the four optimization objectives were 937.94 km, 4961.48 CNY, 4081.78 CNY and 7500.87 CNY respectively, which proved the effectiveness of the model proposed in this study. Based on the effectiveness of the model, the experimental results showed that the total distribution cost of the improved ant colony algorithm reduced by more than 14% on average compared with the basic ant colony algorithm on the four optimization objectives, which proved that the improved ant colony algorithm had more advantages. The improved ant colony algorithm was used to solve large-scale examples with different distributions: centralized, random and mixed. The optimal total costs were 19939.53 CNY, 24095 CNY and 24397.58 CNY, respectively. To sum up, the proposed model and algorithm could provide a good reference for the urban distribution path decision-making of cold chain logistics enterprises, a new idea to improve the distribution path optimization model and optimization method of smart agricultural supply chain, and a reference for enterprises to further expand their scale.

Abstract Long-lasting moisture retention is a huge challenge to humectants, and effective methods or additives for promote these functions are limited, especially nano-additives. Carbon dots (CDs) have attracted increasing research interest due to its ultra-small size, excellent optical properties and low toxicity, etc. However, most of researches have been focused on the photoexcited CDs and its subsequent photophysical and chemical processes, such as photoluminescence, photodynamic, photothermal and photocatalytic behavior. The intrinsic chemo-physical properties of the pristine CDs are not fully explored. Here, we report an excellent moisture retention capability of a new carmine cochineal-derived CDs (Car-CDs) for the first time. The relationship between the structure of Car-CDs and its moisture retention capability is revealed. More interestingly, the effective applications of Car-CDs in moisturizing lipstick are demonstrated. This work expands the research and application of CDs into a broad, new area, potentially in skin care.

In order to study the response of granite residual soil slope with cracks under different number of drying-wetting cycles (D-W cycles), model test was carried out and the crack width expansion index was quantified by investigating the crack images. Based on the direct shear test, the calculation formulas of soil strength degradation and crack depth were developed. Then, the model test and the numerical simulation results were compared to analyze the response of the residual soil slope considering crack extension. The results showed that the fractures width expansion in residual soil under D-W cycles followed the Logistic model, and there was a quantitative relationship between fracture depth and strength degradation. The fracture depth tended to be stable with the increase of D-W cycles. When the number of D-W cycles was small, the change of moisture content at the bottom of the slope lags significantly behind that at the top and the middle of the slope, however, the change of moisture content at each position of the slope tended to be the same with the increase of D-W cycles. The deformation at the bottom and the middle of the slope with the crack expansion tended to be the same compared to the slope without cracks, however, the deformation at the top area was larger, which led to the increase of the deformation gap between the top and bottom of the cracked slope.

Forkhead box O transcriptional factors, especially FoxO1 and FoxO3a, play critical roles in physiologic and pathologic immune responses. However, the function of FoxO4, another main member of the FoxO family, in lymphoid cells is still poorly understood. Here, we showed that loss of FoxO4 in T cells augmented IFN-γ production of Th1 cells in vitro. Correspondingly, conditional deletion of FoxO4 in CD4+ T cells enhanced T cell–specific responses to Listeria monocytogenes infection in vivo. Genome-wide occupancy and transcriptomic analyses identified Dkk3 (encoding the Dickkopf-3 protein) as a direct transcriptional target of FoxO4. Consistent with the FoxO4-DKK3 relationship, recombinant DKK3 protein restored normal levels of IFN-γ production in FoxO4-deficient Th1 cells through the downregulation of lymphoid enhancer–binding factor 1 (Lef1) expression. Together, our data suggest a potential FoxO4/DKK3 axis in Th1 cell differentiation, providing what we believe to be an important insight and supplement for FoxO family proteins in T lymphocyte biology and revealing a promising target for the treatment of immune-related diseases.

However, the mechanism of immunosenescence, the association with aging and successful aging, and the effects on diseases are not revealed obviously. In order to provide theoretical basis for preventing or controlling diseases effectively and achieve successful aging, we conducted the review and found that changes of aging-related phenotypes, deterioration of immune organ function and alterations of immune cell subsets participated in the process of immunosenescence, which had great effects on the occurrence and development of age-related diseases.

Developing an efficient antioxidant for anti-inflammatory therapy via scavenging reactive oxygen species (ROS) remains a great challenge owing to the insufficient activity and stability of traditional antioxidants. Herein, we explored and simply synthesized a biocompatible carbon dots (CDs) nanozyme with excellent scavenging activity of ROS for anti-inflammatory therapy. As expected, CDs nanozyme effectively eliminate many kinds of free radicals including •OH, O2•−, and ABTS+•. Benefiting from multienzyme activities against ROS, CDs nanozyme can decrease the levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines, resulting in good anti-inflammatory effect. Taken together, this study not only sheds light on design of bioactive antioxidants but also broadens the biomedical application of CDs in the treatment of inflammation.

Increasing attention to skin regeneration has rapidly broadened research on the topic. However, no bibliometric analysis of the field’s research trends has yet been conducted. In response to this research gap, this study analyzed the publication patterns and progress of skin regeneration research worldwide using a bibliometric analysis of 1,471 papers comprising 1,227 (83.4%) original articles and 244 (16.6%) reviews sourced from a Web of Science search. Publication distribution was analyzed by country/region, institution, journal, and author. The frequency of keywords was assessed to prepare a bibliometric map of the development trends in skin regeneration research. China and the United States were the most productive countries in the field: China had the greatest number of publications at 433 (29.4%) and the United States had the highest H-index ranking (59 with 15,373 citations or 31.9%). Author keywords were classified into four clusters: stem cell, biomaterial, tissue engineering, and wound dressing. “Stem cells,” “chitosan,” “tissue engineering,” and “wound dressings” were the most frequent keywords in each cluster; therefore, they reflected the field’s current focus areas. “Immunomodulation,” “aloe vera,” “extracellular vesicles,” “injectable hydrogel,” and “three-dimensional (3D) bioprinting” were relatively new keywords, indicating that biomaterials for skin regeneration and 3D bioprinting are promising research hotspots in the field. Moreover, clinical studies on new dressings and techniques to accelerate skin regeneration deserve more attention. By uncovering current and future research hotspots, this analysis offers insights that may be useful for both new and experienced scholars striving to expand research and innovation in the field of skin regeneration.

BackgroundLarge fluctuations in blood glucose levels greatly impact the health and life span of elderly individuals. This study describes the characteristics of variability in glycemic indices in centenarians with the aim of emphasizing the importance of glycemic variability in elderly people.MethodsWe recruited individuals from Rugao City, Jiangsu Province, China from April 2020 to May 2021. The study cohort included 60 centenarians and 60 first-generation offspring, as well as 20 randomly selected non-cohabitant control individuals aged 60–80 years. A FreeStyle Libre H (hospital version) continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) device (Abbott Ireland UK) was used to measure glycemic variability. The indices measured included the time in target glucose range (TIR), time below target glucose range (TBR), time above target glucose range (TAR), mean amplitude of glycemic excursions (MAGE), mean of daily differences (MODD), coefficient of variation (CV), standard deviation of blood glucose (SDBG), continuous overlapping net glycemic action (CONGA), glucose management indicator (GMI) and estimated glycated hemoglobin (eHbA1c). Logistic regression was used to analyze the association between glycemic variability and longevity.ResultsMean blood glucose (MBG), eHbA1c, GMI, mean fasting plasma glucose (M-FPG) and CONGA were lower in the centenarian group (p all < 0.05). PPGE-2 was higher in the control group than that measured in the centenarian and first-generation offspring groups (p < 0.05). There were no differences between the groups in MAGE, MODD, MAG, or TIR (p > 0.05). The risk of not achieving longevity increased with each one unit increase in MBG by 126% [2.26 (1.05–4.91)], eHbA1c by 67% [1.67 (1.03–2.72)], GMI by 568% [6.68 (1.11–40.30)], M-FPG by 365% [4.65 (1.57–13.75)], M-PPG1h by 98% [1.98 (1.18–3.31)], CONGA1 by 102% [2.02 (1.01–4.06)], Li by 200% [3.00 (1.04–8.61)], and PPGE-2 by 150% [2.50 (1.39–4.50)]. However, the risk of achieving longevity decreased with each unit increase of LBGI by 53% [0.47 (0.28–0.80)], ADRR by 60% [0.40 (0.18–0.86)], and TBR by 11% [0.89 (0.80–0.98)].ConclusionFluctuation in blood glucose levels in centenarians is relatively small. Maintaining an average blood glucose level and keeping blood glucose fluctuations in the normal range is conducive to longevity.

Sudden changes in the morphological characteristics of trees are closely related to plant health, and automated phenotypic measurements can help improve the efficiency of plant health monitoring, and thus aid in the conservation of old and valuable tress. The irregular distribution of branches and the influence of the natural environment make it very difficult to monitor the status of branches in the field. In order to solve the problem of branch phenotype monitoring of tall and valuable plants in the field environment, this paper proposes an improved UNet model to achieve accurate extraction of trunk and branches. This paper also proposes an algorithm that can measure the branch length and inclination angle by using the main trunk and branches separated in the previous stage, finding the skeleton line of a single branch via digital image morphological processing and the Zhang–Suen thinning algorithm, obtaining the number of pixel points as the branch length, and then using Euclidean distance to fit a straight line to calculate the inclination angle of each branch. These were carried out in order to monitor the change in branch length and inclination angle and to determine whether plant branch breakage or external stress events had occurred. We evaluated the method on video images of Abies beshanzuensis, and the experimental results showed that the present algorithm has more excellent performance at 94.30% MIoU as compared with other target segmentation algorithms. The coefficient of determination (R2) is higher than 0.89 for the calculation of the branch length and inclination angle. In summary, the algorithm proposed in this paper can effectively segment the branches of tall plants and measure their length and inclination angle in a field environment, thus providing an effective method to monitor the health of valuable plants.

In this paper, based on the information entropy and spatio-temporal correlation of sensing nodes in the Internet of Things (IoT), a Spatio-temporal Scope Information Model (SSIM) is proposed to quantify the scope of the valuable information of sensor data. Specifically, the valuable information of sensor data decays with space and time, which can be used to guide the system to make efficient sensor activation scheduling decisions for regional sensing accuracy. A simple sensing and monitoring system with three sensor nodes is investigated in this paper, and a single-step scheduling decision mechanism is proposed for the optimization problem of maximizing valuable information acquisition and efficient sensor activation scheduling in the sensed region. Regarding the above mechanism, the scheduling results and approximate numerical bounds on the node layout between different scheduling results are obtained through theoretical analyses, which are consistent with simulation. In addition, a long-term decision mechanism is also proposed for the aforementioned optimization issues, where the scheduling results with different node layouts are derived by modeling as a Markov decision process and utilizing the Q-learning algorithm. Concerning the above two mechanisms, the performance of both is verified by conducting experiments using the relative humidity dataset; furthermore, the differences in performance and limitations of the model are discussed and summarized.

The Cyber-Physical System and even the Metaverse will become the second space in which human beings live. While bringing convenience to human beings, it also brings many security threats. These threats may come from software or hardware. There has been a lot of research on managing malware, and there are many mature commercial products, such as antivirus software, firewalls, etc. In stark contrast, the research community on governing malicious hardware is still in its infancy. Chips are the core component of hardware, and hardware Trojans are the primary and complex security issue faced by chips. Detection of hardware Trojans is the first step for dealing with malicious circuits. Due to the limitation of the golden chip and the computational consumption, the existing traditional detection methods are not applicable to very large-scale integration. The performances of traditional machine-learning-based methods depend on the accuracy of the multi-feature representation, and most of the methods may lead to instability because of the difficulty of extracting features manually. In this paper, employing deep learning, a multiscale detection model for automatic feature extraction is proposed. The model is called MHTtext and provides two strategies to balance the accuracy and computational consumption. After selecting a strategy according to the actual situations and requirements, the MHTtext generates the corresponding path sentences from the netlist and employs TextCNN for identification. Further, it can also obtain non-repeated hardware Trojan component information to improve its stability performance. Moreover, a new evaluation metric is established to intuitively measure the model’s effectiveness and balance: the stabilization efficiency index (SEI). In the experimental results for the benchmark netlists, the average accuracy (ACC) in the TextCNN of the global strategy is as high as 99.26%, and one of its stabilization efficiency index values ranks first with a score of 71.21 in all comparison classifiers. The local strategy also achieved an excellent effect, according to the SEI. The results show that the proposed MHTtext model has high stability, flexibility, and accuracy, in general.

With the progress of computer vision and the development of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), UAVs have been widely used in forest resource investigation and tree feature extraction. In the field of crown width measurement, the use of traditional manual measurement methods is time-consuming and costly and affects factors such as terrain and weather. Although the crown width extraction method based on the segmentation of UAV images that have recently risen in popularity extracts a large amount of information, it consumes long amounts of time for dataset establishment and segmentation. This paper proposes an improved YOLOv7 model designed to precisely extract the crown width of Metasequoia glyptostroboides. This species is distinguished by its well-developed terminal buds and distinct central trunk morphology. Taking the M. glyptostroboides forest in the Qingshan Lake National Forest Park in Lin’an District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China, as the target sample plot, YOLOv7 was improved using the simple, parameter-free attention model (SimAM) attention and SIoU modules. The SimAM attention module was experimentally proved capable of reducing the attention to other irrelevant information in the training process and improving the model’s accuracy. The SIoU module can improve the tightness between the detection frame and the edge of the target crown during the detection process and effectively enhance the accuracy of crown width measurement. The experimental results reveal that the improved model achieves 94.34% mAP@0.5 in the task of crown detection, which is 5% higher than that achieved by the original model. In crown width measurement, the R2 of the improved model reaches 0.837, which is 0.151 higher than that of the original model, thus verifying the effectiveness of the improved algorithm.

Tree crown width relates directly to wood quality and tree growth. The traditional method used to measure crown width is labor-intensive and time-consuming. Pairing imagery taken by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) with a deep learning algorithm such as a faster region-based convolutional neural network (Faster-RCNN) has the potential to be an alternative to the traditional method. In this study, Faster-RCNN outperformed single-shot multibox detector (SSD) for crown detection in a young loblolly pine stand but performed poorly in a dense, mature loblolly pine stand. This paper proposes a novel Faster-RCNN algorithm for tree crown identification and crown width extraction in a forest stand environment with high-density loblolly pine forests. The new algorithm uses Residual Network 101 (ResNet101) and a feature pyramid network (FPN) to build an FPN_ResNet101 structure, improving the capability to model shallow location feature extraction. The algorithm was applied to images from a mature loblolly pine plot in eastern Texas, USA. The results show that the accuracy of crown recognition and crown width measurement using the FPN_ResNet101 structure as the backbone network in Faster-RCNN (FPN_Faster-RCNN_ResNet101) was high, being 95.26% and 0.95, respectively, which was 4.90% and 0.27 higher than when using Faster-RCNN with ResNet101 as the backbone network (Faster-RCNN_ResNet101). The results fully confirm the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Background: The incidence of depression in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is high and leads to a lower quality of life than that in undepressed SLE patients and healthy individuals. The causes of SLE depression are still unclear. Methods: A total of 94 SLE patients were involved in this study. A series of questionnaires (Hospital Depression Scale, Social Support Rate Scale and so on) were applied. Flow cytometry was used to test the different stages and types of T cells and B cells in peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Univariate and multivariate analyses were conducted to explore the key contributors to depression in SLE. Support Vector Machine (SVM) learning was applied to form the prediction model. Results: Depressed SLE patients showed lower objective support, severer fatigue, worse sleep quality and higher percentages of ASC%PBMC, ASC%CD19+, MAIT, TEM%Th, TEMRA%Th, CD45RA+CD27-Th, TEMRA%CD8 than non-depressed patients. A learning-based SVM model combining objective and patient-reported variables showed that fatigue, objective support, ASC%CD19+, TEM%Th and TEMRA%CD8 were the main contributing factors to depression in SLE. With the SVM model, the weight of TEM%Th was 0.17, which is the highest among objective variables, and the weight of fatigue was 0.137, which was the highest among variables of patients’ reported outcomes. Conclusions: Both patient-reported factors and immunological factors could be involved in the occurrence and development of depression in SLE. Scientists can explore the mechanism of depression in SLE or other psychological diseases from the above perspective.

Human body temperature is a fundamental physiological sign that reflects the state of physical health. It is important to achieve high-accuracy detection for non-contact human body temperature measurement. In this article, a Ka band (32 to 36 GHz) analog complex correlator using the integrated six-port chip is proposed, and a millimeter-wave thermometer system based on the designed correlator is completed for human body temperature measurement. The designed correlator utilizes the six-port technique to achieve large bandwidth and high sensitivity, and miniaturization of the correlator is achieved through an integrated six-port chip. By performing the single-frequency test and the broadband noise measurement on the correlator, we can determine that the dynamic range of input power of the correlator is −70 dBm to −35 dBm, and the correlation efficiency and equivalent bandwidth are 92.5% and 3.42 GHz, respectively. Moreover, the output of the correlator varies linearly with the input noise power, which reveals that the designed correlator is suitable for the field of human body temperature measurement. Then, a handheld thermometer system, with a size of 140 mm × 47 mm × 20 mm, is proposed using the designed correlator, and the measurement results show that the temperature sensitivity of the thermometer is less than 0.2 K.

Combining with the characteristics and development trends of army intelligent ammunition, the missile-borne image processing heterogeneous accelerate system for deep learning is put forward based on the research of compression, quantitative and hardware heterogeneous acceleration, realizing heterogeneous hardware design. The DNNDK is used to compress and quantify the Yolo v3 model. The weight and parameter compression rate are more than 90% and 80%, realizing the lightweight design of Yolo v3. Based on the DPU hardware acceleration architecture, the algorithm is transplanted to the missile-borne embedded platform, and its power consumption and detection efficiency meet the requirements of missile-borne image processing.
