Abstract

Highlights: The flower-like δ-MnO2 nanostructures with controlled oxygen vacancies as an extraordinary ZIBs cathode are innovatively developed. The cathode can present large capacity and high-rate zinc-ion storage. DFT analysis substantially unveils the effects of various vacancy concentrations on their electrochemical performances. In recent years, manganese-based oxides as an advanced class of cathode materials for zinc-ion batteries (ZIBs) have attracted a great deal of attentions from numerous researchers. However, their slow reaction kinetics, limited active sites and poor electrical conductivity inevitably give rise to the severe performance degradation. To solve these problems, herein, we introduce abundant oxygen vacancies into the flower-like δ-MnO2 nanostructure and effectively modulate the vacancy defects to reach the optimal level (δ-MnO2−x−2.0). The smart design intrinsically tunes the electronic structure, guarantees ion chemisorption–desorption equilibrium and increases the electroactive sites, which not only effectively accelerates charge transfer rate during reaction processes, but also endows more redox reactions, as verified by first-principle calculations. These merits can help the fabricated δ-MnO2−x−2.0 cathode to present a large specific capacity of 551.8 mAh g−1 at 0.5 A g−1, high-rate capability of 262.2 mAh g−1 at 10 A g−1 and an excellent cycle lifespan (83% of capacity retention after 1500 cycles), which is far superior to those of the other metal compound cathodes. In addition, the charge/discharge mechanism of the δ-MnO2−x−2.0 cathode has also been elaborated through ex situ techniques. 56. Testing serial correlation in a general d-factor model with possible infinite variance

Abstract

It is well-known that the presence of serial correlation may result in an inefficient or even biased estimation in time series analysis. In this paper, we consider testing serial correlation in a general d-factor model when the model errors follow the GARCH process, which is frequently used in modeling financial data. Two empirical likelihood-based testing statistics are suggested as a way to deal with problems that might come up with infinite variance. Both statistics are shown to be chi-squared distributed asymptotically under mild conditions. Simulations confirm the excellent finite-sample performance of both tests. Finally, to emphasize the importance of using our tests, we explore the impact of the exchange rate on the stock return using both monthly and daily data from eight countries.

Abstract

Background: The immune system is well known to exert tumor immunosurveillance effects, and that immune cells circulating in the peripheral blood affect tumor prognosis. The study investigated the effect of estimated dose of radiation on circulating immune cells (EDRIC) and tumor control for esophageal cancer patients treated with concurrent chemo-radiotherapy. Materials and Methods: A total of 146 esophageal cancer patients treated with radiotherapy between January 2016 and June 2020 were retrospectively identified. We determined EDRIC, known prognostic factors, and the association of these factors with progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS). Results: The median follow-up was 17.9 months (2.7–60.4 months). The 3-year OS was 39.2%. Severe post-treatment lymphopenia was observed in 84.2% of patients. A negative correlation between EDRIC and absolute lymphocyte count was found (r = −0.679; p < 0.001). Patients with EDRIC ≥10.3 Gy were more likely to demonstrate grade 4 lymphopenia (55.2% vs. 4.5%; p < 0.001). Patients with grade 4 lymphopenia had a worse OS and PFS. On multivariate analysis, EDRIC was independently associated with OS (hazard ratio [HR], 1.142; p = 0.016) and PFS (HR, 1.121; p = 0.019). Conclusions: EDRIC can predict lymphocyte reduction and poor prognosis for esophageal cancer patients treated with radiotherapy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Description:����� LM (Figs 1���14): Raphe valve slightly convex, rapheless valve slightly concave. Valves linear to elliptic, with apices rounded. Length 7.9���3.6 ��m, width 2.9���3.9 ��m (n=25). Axial area narrow and linear. On the raphe valve, striae become coarser in the middle of valve, central area is inconspicuous. On the rapheless valves, central area is absent. On the raphe valves, striae slightly radiate in the center, becoming radiate towards the ends; 9���12 per 10 ��m in center of raphe valve, denser near the ends at 18���20 per 10 ��m. On the rapheless valve, striae nearly parallel in the center and become slightly radiate towards the ends; 12���15 per 10 ��m. Abstract

2011-2012年间对扎龙国家级自然保护区的藻类标本进行采集及观察鉴定.研究发现，该区域鼓藻类植物生物多样性较高，共观察到90个分类单位.研究过程中发现宽带鼓藻属的一个新种——Pleurotaenium parvulum Li，Fan & Wei.该物种特征为植物体单细胞，细胞小型，长圆柱形；半细胞顶端平截，其缘边横断面可见5个小结节；细胞壁平滑或具点纹；半细胞具两个轴生星状的色素体，每个色素体具1个蛋白核.本文比较了该物种与其相近种类之间的差异.
