Restoring sodium iodide symporter (NIS) expression and function remains a major challenge for radioiodine therapy in anaplastic thyroid cancer (ATC). For more efficient delivery of messenger RNA (mRNA) to manipulate protein expression, a lipid‐peptide‐mRNA (LPm) nanoparticle (NP) is developed. The LPm NP is prepared by using amphiphilic peptides to assemble a peptide core and which is then coated with cationic lipids. An amphiphilic chimeric peptide, consisting of nine arginine and hydrophobic segments (6 histidine, C18 or cholesterol), is synthesized for adsorption of mRNA encoding NIS in RNase‐free conditions. In vitro studies show that LP(R9H6) m NP is most efficient at delivering mRNA and can increase NIS expression in ATC cells by more than 10‐fold. After intratumoral injection of NIS mRNA formulated in optimized LPm NP, NIS expression in subcutaneous ATC tumor tissue increases significantly in nude mice, resulting in more iodine 131 (131I) accumulation in the tumor, thereby significantly inhibiting tumor growth. Overall, this work designs three arginine‐rich peptide nanoparticles, contributing to the choice of liposome cores for gene delivery. Solar steam generation is a promising technique using solar energy to obtain fresh water from seawater, industrial waste water, or sewage. In the current work, a green‐tide waste, enteromorpha prolifera (EP), is used as raw material to prepare efficient absorbers and light‐to‐heat converters for solar steam generation. The EP waste is treated by a one‐step carbonization process to produce carbonaceous EP foam that exhibits strong absorption in a wide spectrum from ultraviolet to near‐infrared regions. The carbonaceous EP foam shows a solar steam generation efficiency of 89% under 5‐sun irradiation. The hydrophilic surface characteristics, highly porous structure, and long‐range continuous channels of the carbonaceous EP foam enable fast water transport and sufficient water supply for solar evaporation. Fresh water recovered from seawater and dye wastewater completely meets with the standards of drinking water. A spark gap (SG) triggered by a semi-insulating GaAs photoconductive semiconductor switch (PCSS) is presented. Currents as high as 5.6 kA have been generated using the combined switch, which is excited by a laser pulse with energy of 1.8 mJ and under a bias of 4 kV. Based on the transferred-electron effect and gas streamer theory, the breakover characteristics of the combined switch are analyzed. The photoexcited carrier density in the PCSS is calculated. The calculation and analysis indicate that the PCSS breakover is caused by nucleation of the photoactivated avalanching charge domain. It is shown that the high output current is generated by the discharge of a high-energy gas streamer induced by the strong local electric field distortion or by overvoltage of the SG resulting from quenching of the avalanching domain, and periodic oscillation of the current is caused by interaction between the gas streamer and the charge domain. The cycle of the current oscillation is determined by the rise time of the triggering electric pulse generated by the PCSS, the pulse transmission time between the PCSS and the SG, and the streamer transit time in the SG. Traditional lithium salts typically adhere to the designing principles of enhancing cation‐anion dissociation degree to obtain a high electrolyte conductivity. This promotes the invention of lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (LiTFSI), where the symmetric electron‐withdrawing trifluoromethanesulfonyl groups significantly delocalize the negative charge density around the nitrogen atom, thereby weakening the electrostatic interaction between Li+ and the anion. Herein, deviating from the general principle, lithium (methanesulfonyl)(trifluoromethanesulfonyl) imide (LiMTFSI) is deliberately designed by substituting a unilateral electron‐withdrawing trifluoromethyl (─CF3) group of LiTFSI with an electron‐donating methyl (─CH3) group, to tune the nucleophilicity of the anion. This modification enhances Li‐anion interaction, causing the anion to replace the solvent molecules in the Li+ solvation shell. Additionally, the MTFSI− anion exhibits an elevated donor number to facilitate the solubility of LiNO3 in carbonate‐based electrolytes. The synergistic effect of these changes suppresses the decomposition of solvent and helps construct a stable solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) enriched with multiple inorganic lithium salts (e.g., Li2S, Li3N, and LiNxOy) on the Li metal anode, which enables the 500 mAh Li||LiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2 pouch cell to operate steadily for 150 cycles. Background: Chemoresistance has been considered to be a major obstacle for cancer therapy clinically. Long non-coding RNAs (LncRNAs) are asscociated with the development, prognosis and drug-resistance of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Whereas, the regulatory mechanism of lncRNA TATDN1 in the cisplatin resistance of NSCLC is still not clear. Methods: The expression of TATDN1, miR-451 and TRIM66 in NSCLC tissues and cell lines were detected by qRT-PCR or western blot. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) assay was performed for the detection of TATDN1 expression profile. 88 patients who underwent cisplatin treatment were followed up to 60-months for the analysis of survival rate. MTT and Flow cytometry analysis were performed for the assessment of cell survival rate, proliferation and apoptosis. Bioinformatics, Dual-Luciferase reporter were employed to analyze the interaction among TATDN1, miR-451 and TRIM66. Xenograft tumor model was constructed to verify the role of TATDN1 in NSCLC treated with cisplatin (DDP) in vivo. Results: TATDN1 and TRIM66 was significantly upregulated while miR-451 was downregulated in NSCLC tissues and cell lines, especially in DDP-resistant tumor tissues and cells. Survival rates of NSCLC patients with low TATDN1 expression were improved following DDP chemotherapy. TATDN1 upregulated TRIM66 expression via sponge for miR-451. Moreover, TATDN1 knockdown improved DDP-sensitivity in NSCLC patients by regulation of miR-451/TRIM66 axis. Finally, knockdown of TATDN1 improved the sensitivity of NSCLC to DDP in vivo. Conclusions: TATDN1 enhanced the DDP-tolerance of NSCLC cells by upregulating TRIM66 expression via sponging miR-451, hinting a novel regulatory pathway of chemoresistance in DDP-tolerant NSCLC cells and providing a potential therapeutic target for NSCLC patients with DDP-reistance.
