The plasma sheath causes the spacecraft’s communication signal to attenuate dramatically during the re-entry period, which seriously threatens the astronauts. However, valid experimental protocols have not been obtained hitherto. To realize the propagation of electromagnetic waves in negative permittivity background of the plasma sheath, alumina columns are embedded in the plasma background to form plasma photonic crystals, which can support the coupling of evanescent waves between the alumina columns. We experimentally demonstrate the realization of communication in blackout scenario by achieving a complete passing band in the plasma cutoff region. For high frequency communications in the plasma sheath, electromagnetic wave propagation based on topological edge states is also experimentally demonstrated. Furthermore, we realize a triply-degenerate Dirac cone formed dynamically at the center of the Brillouin zone by modulating the electron density, where electromagnetic wave exhibits high transmittance and does not experience phase accumulation at the Dirac point. Our work thus not only provides an effective approach to overcome the communication blackout problem, but the design can also be served as a promising experimental platform to explore topological electromagnetic phenomena.

Background: Anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody-associated small-vessel vasculitis (AASV) is an autoimmune disease with unclear pathogenesis, which causes damage to multiple organs and systems, renal failure or even death. We aimed to explore the expression of serum soluble Klotho protein in patients with AASV-induced renal damage and influence on prognosis.

This study systematically examines the effects of diphenylphosphinic acid (DPPA) and sarcosine (SAR) intercalation into magnesium aluminum lanthanum hydrotalcite (LDHs) on its structure and thermal stability. Using charge distribution, structural optimization, energy calculations, XRD, FTIR, TEM, and thermal stability tests, the study reveals that DPPA anions, with higher negative charge density, increase the interlayer spacing to 6.08 Å and exhibit a binding energy of −0.7624 eV. SAR anions, with a thinner interlayer spacing of 4.11 Å and a binding energy of −1.603 eV, create a more stable structure. SAR's higher dipole moment (2.827 a.u.) compared to DPPA (2.077 a.u.) enhances electrostatic interactions. Thermal stability tests show SAR‐LDHs and DPPA‐LDHs extend PVC's stability to 53.67 and 56.67 min, respectively. DPPA anions provide superior stability at high temperatures, while SAR anions excel in moderate temperatures. This study offers insights for designing thermally stable composite materials. Objective: To observe the effects of sling exercise combined with massage in patients with neck type cervical spondylopathy (NTCS) by using surface electromyography (sEMG), and to explore the short-term effects on neck pain, neck disabilities and muscle fatigue.MethodsA total of ninety-three patients with neck type cervical spondylopathy who met the inclusion criteria were divided into three groups according to the random number table: massage group, sling exercise group and sling exercise combined with massage group, with 31 cases in each group. The three groups were treated with massage, sling exercise, sling exercise combined with massage therapy respectively, 30 minutes per time, once a day, 5 days per week, for a total of one week. Before and after treatment, the McGill Pain Questionnaire (MPQ) and the Neck Disability Index (NDI) were used to evaluate the cervical function and quality of life of patients, and the median frequency (MF) of the upper trapezius muscle was measured by electromyography biofeedback instrument.ResultsBefore treatment, the MPQ scores, NDI scores and MF value of the three groups were not statistically different (P>0.05). After treatment, the MPQ scores, NDI scores and MF value of the three groups were all improved (PPPP>0.05). The excellent flexibility and plasticity of a flexible robotic hand enable it to grip objects of various shapes and sizes. Currently, most of the flexible robotic hand fingers on the market use pneumatic drives. However, the unstable power of the pneumatic drive can cause the object gripped by the finger to slip. Additionally, the pneumatic pump can create noise pollution. To address these issues, a flexible end-effector is designed using an electromagnetic coil as the power source. The electromagnetic-driven end-effector has high precision and fast response, without the need for external devices. It only requires controlling the current to control the magnetic force of the electromagnet, thereby controlling the degree of end-effector bending. The finite element simulation is used to analyze the impact of the structural parameters of the end-effector on bending degree. And the optimal basic parameters of the end-effector are determined. Under the same intensity of the current, when the bottom layer thickness is 5 mm, end-effector knuckle spacing is 4 mm, the maximum angle of end-effector bending is reached. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Copolymer particles containing anhydride and amide groups are widely utilized in oilfields and medication releases because of their high specific surface area, excellent biocompatibility, and water solubility. Here, the self‐stabilized precipitation (2SP) method was used to create maleic anhydride (MAH)/vinyl acetate (VAc)/acrylamide (AM) terpolymer (PMVA) microspheres. Terpolymer composition was highly dependent on monomer feed ratio and microspheres with diameters in the range of about 228–1048 nm could be prepared by altering reaction parameters. Notably, AM was consumed completely within a short period of time owing to high monomer reactivity, MAH and VAc continuing to copolymerize in an alternating manner. Thus self‐assembled core–shell particle with poly(MAH‐co‐VAc‐co‐AM) as core and poly(MAH‐alt‐VAc) as shell (PMVA@PMV) was readily achieved. PMVA particles can be scaled up to application platforms of hydrogel, oil recovery, and scale inhibition. In this study, ZnAlLa-maleate-LDHs was synthesized using the co-precipitation-hydrothermal method. The effects of aluminum-lanthanum ratio, co-precipitation time, hydrothermal time, and hydrothermal temperature on the crystal structure were investigated. As indicated by the result, the optimal condition was n (Al3+): n (La3+) = 10:1, the co-precipitation time reached 24 h, the hydrothermal time was 8 h, and the hydrothermal temperature reached 180°C. The effect of hydrotalcite on the thermal stability properties and plasticizing properties of PVC was analyzed. The result suggested that ZnAlLa-maleate-LDHs enhanced the thermal stability, plasticizing properties, and mechanical properties of PVC compared with ZnAlLa-CO3-LDHs. The layer spacing of hydrotalcite was increased with the introduction of maleic acid, such that the entry of Cl− into the interlayer guest was facilitated, and the decomposition of PVC was inhibited. Moreover, the long-term thermal stability mechanism was analyzed using FTIR before and after hydrochloric acid treatment. As revealed by the above result, the thermal stabilizer ZnAlLa-maleate-LDHs are capable of hindering the breakage of C-Cl bonds in PVC, inhibiting the formation of HCl, and playing a certain role in thermal stabilization. This study aims to analyze lung cancer patients' perspectives on postoperative exercise in their daily lives, exploring their concerns and needs related to postoperative exercise to help healthcare professionals develop personalized exercise plans. Methods: An internet crawling technique collected online inquiries from Baidu webpages about postoperative physical activity in lung cancer patients, using "lung cancer", "surgery", and "exercise" as keywords. The data was encoded, categorized, and analyzed using a large-scale semantic analysis platform in natural language processing and information retrieval to examine term frequency, sentiment tendencies, and attributes in the inquiry texts. Results: Initially, 2727 queries were retrieved; after screening, deduplication, and cleansing, 201 unique queries were identified. Queries related to "modes of exercise" constituted the largest proportion. The most frequently occurring words in the word frequency analysis were "lung", " cancer", "should", "can", "long", "early", and "surgery", "exercise", "respiratory". Postoperative lung cancer patients demonstrate significant interest in whether they should engage in exercise, as well as in the appropriate types and duration of such activities, indicating a strong need for detailed guidance and knowledge related to exercise. The sentiment analysis showed a positive score of 87.5% and a negative score of 12.5%, indicating that postoperative lung cancer patients view exercise positively and have an enthusiastic attitude towards it. Among the positive sentiment attributes, "good" was the most frequently mentioned term, whereas "bad" and "surprising" were the most prevalent terms within the negative sentiment attributes. Conclusion: Postoperative physical activity receives limited attention from lung cancer patients, who emphasize their preferences for exercise modalities. Their inquiries often reflect psychological concerns, such as fear and helplessness caused by symptoms. Understanding patients' perspectives on postoperative physical activity within their real-life contexts can help integrate psychological support into exercise plans.
