Abstract

A novel free‐halogen flame retardant (trimethylolphosphine carbamate, THPON) was synthesized through the simple reaction between tetrakis(hydroxymethyl) phosphonium chloride and urea. Small molecule THPON could infiltrated the cotton fibers and grafted on cotton cellulose by amide bond. What is more, THPON did not change the inherent crystal structure of cotton because it infiltrated into the amorphous region of cotton. THPON‐treated cotton was easily decomposed into phosphoric acid or polyphosphate at lower temperature and exhibited good flame retardancy due to the N/P synergistic effect. Compared to control, the heat release rate of THPON‐treated cotton increased slower, indicating that a protective carbon layer formed and acted as a barrier. In addition, THPON displayed the low cytotoxicity and biosafety. The development and properties of THPON could provide an important data for the further application in the industry. 87. Study on Anti-pneumonia Mechanisms of Honeysuckle Based on Network Pharmacology

Abstract

Background: Honeysuckle is a traditional Chinese herbal medicine. It is widely used in the treatment of respiratory infectious diseases in Asia and even worldwide reported in the literature. However, its mechanism remains unclear. Pneumonia is one of the most common clinical manifestations of respiratory infections. This study is aim to find out the molecular mechanism of honeysuckle in the treatment of pneumonia.Methods: LPS-induced pneumonia rats were administered with honeysuckle decoction and compared its efficacy with dexamethasone. The components in honeysuckle decoction were analyzed by liquid-phase mass spectrometry. The target proteins for those components were obtained by database search, target fishing and text mining methods, and then were matched with the genes of pneumonia in the CTD database. Analyzed interactions of target protein by using String database, enrichment analysis by David database, molecular docking was performed by AUTODOCK and PyRx. Its related network diagrams drew by Cytoscape.Results: Our results indicate that honeysuckle can alleviate the inflammation of rat lung tissue to a certain extent, and has similar therapeutic effects as dexamethasone. There are 31 compounds in honeysuckle, and 366 genes associated with these compounds and pneumonia. Among them, 18 of the top 5%, including GAPDH, TNF, FOS, VEGFA, BDNF, etc., were enriched in pathway closely related to pneumonia: Glycine, serine and threonine metabolism, Nitrogen metabolism, and Neuroactive ligand-receptor interaction, etc. The results of molecular docking confirmed that Inosito binds to the PTEN protein of the Phosphatidylinositol signaling system pathway.Conclusions: This study suggests that honeysuckle can play a role in the treatment of pneumonia by affecting multiple targets and pathways, of which Inosito-PTEN-Phosphatidylinositol signaling system may be the most important mechanism. This reflects the multi-target multi-pathway of traditional Chinese medicine, and has a certain specific therapeutic effect on the disease. By interfering with the signaling pathways of the body cells, honeysuckle can be used as a drug candidate for clinical pneumonia treatment.

Abstract

Pipeline block and pipeline leak may lead to serious accidents and cause huge economic losses, which have been urgent problems for gas transportation. In this work, active acoustic pulse-compression technology is first introduced to detect and locate these two anomalous events. The matched filtered signals are then normalized and input into one-dimensional convolutional neural network to achieve classification of not only pipeline block and pipeline leak but also normal event such as pipeline elbow which causes acoustic wave reflection as well. Neural network parameter optimization has also been carried out as well as the comparison with long- and short-term memory network. Experimental results demonstrate that compared with long- and short-term memory network, one-dimensional convolutional neural network has an improvement in efficiency due to the great reduction of running time. For non-aliasing pipeline events, both of the models can reach 100% classification accuracy. For aliasing pipeline events, despite the shorter time series and fewer features, the classification accuracy of one-dimensional convolutional neural network still reaches 100.00%, but that of long- and short-term memory network is only 93.89%. Furthermore, the smoothing and slight fluctuation of receiver operating characteristic curve and the high value of area under curve also verify the stability and good classification performance of the proposed trained model. Therefore, the one-dimensional convolutional neural network shows significant performance for pipeline events classification and has considerable potential and application prospect in gas pipeline safety monitoring. Abstract

Accurate description of visual effect of colored moire pattern caused by layered optical structures consisting of gratings and Fresnel lens is proposed in this work. The colored moire arising from the periodic and quasi-periodic structures is numerically simulated and experimentally verified. It is found that the visibility of moire pattern generated by refractive optical elements is related to not only the spatial structures of gratings but also the viewing angles. To effectively control the moire visibility, two constituting gratings are slightly separated. Such scheme is proved to be effective to globally eliminate moire pattern for displays containing refractive optical films with quasi-periodic structures.

Abstract

We established an improved method for in vitro culture of glochidia in freshwater mussel Cristaria plicata and compared the transformation percentage in L-15 basic medium supplemented with different plasma from host fish or two non-host fish species. The results showed that the metamorphosis rate of glochidia cultured with host fish plasma and non-host fish plasma was all above 96%. High-density lipoprotein and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels were significantly lower in host fish plasma than in non-host fish plasma (P 0.05). The method developed herein not only provides a simplified in vitro culture method for glochidia at a reduced cost, but it also improves the culture efficiency. The method and medium composition may be further improved in studies investigating the long-term growth of juvenile mussels, and it would greatly benefit artificial breeding and germplasm resource preservation for this important species.
