Czech immigrants in America played an important role in the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia after World War I, and even today more than one million Americans claim Czech ancestry. Czech Americans understandably kept a close eye on the young democracy in the centre of Europe during the interwar period. Their reflections are recorded primarily within regional periodicals, which, although being available at least to some extent, are still not sufficiently reflected in the academic literature. Generally, the most researched period is the “peak” of the Czechoslovak immigrant community’s activity in the US around World War I, but there are large gaps elsewhere, especially in the interwar period. The paper attempts to compare the views of Czech immigrants in America on the stock market crash in New York in the autumn of 1929. It focuses specifically on Czech periodicals published in three locations — Chicago, Nebraska, and Texas. The comparison of these three perspectives provides the opportunity to explore the perspective of Czech Americans in urban and rural areas in three different states across the United States. It also focuses on periodicals from a period that researchers have so far shown little interest in. Additionally, comparing these three locations allows for an examination of social, religious, demographic, and other differences, as the Czech immigrant community in the US has never been homogeneous, although it is often presented as such. The paper thus aims to provide a fresh perspective on one of the key moments of interwar history through the eyes of the Czech immigrant community. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Recent international public health guidelines now address reducing and breaking up time spent sitting (sedentary behavior). Japanese people spend considerable time sitting in workplaces and other contexts. With potential future public health guidelines in Japan, there is the need for greater public awareness of the importance of reducing sedentary time and of practical ways to do so. From the five major Japanese national newspapers, articles on sedentary behavior published between 2000 and 2021 were identified and coded for content analysis, including the main topic of the article, population group, sedentary behavior context or domain, health outcome, and solutions for reducing sedentary time. There were 53 articles identified, with sedentary behavior being the main topic in 22; workers as a population group appeared in 20 articles and workplaces as a domain in 22. More than 70% mentioned health influences, but fewer than 60% mentioned solutions. Further to informing the public about adverse health influences and consequences for workers and workplaces, there is also the need for improved coverage of the broader benefits of reducing sitting time, sedentary behavior among older adults and children, sitting in all aspects of daily life, and, importantly, considering public health guidelines and solutions for reducing prolonged sitting. In an examination of development issues appearing in the highest circulated mainstream English daily newspaper in Bangladesh— the Daily Star (DS)— this study discursively argues that this newspaper provided much less attention and even remained silent on development issues related to education and agriculture that are of close concern to underprivileged people. The newspaper's silence and inconsistent coverage sidelines social needs important to voiceless people. Their coverage pattern can be likened to snapshots that have no value in solving the issues. The newspaper's coverage favours the elite but dehumanizes and ignores the circumstances of underprivileged people. While problems of development need to be debated in the mass media; the DS would rather remain silent and engage in a social exclusion process that breaches the norms of development journalism. The disinterest has impacts, not only in sidelining development issues, but also in dehumanizing and excluding the circumstances of underprivileged people. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study systematically delves into the intricacies of crime reporting by mass media in postcovid Nigeria, shedding light on its profound impact and intensity. Through meticulous archival methods, historical editions of The Guardian and Punch newspapers were analyzed over three years. The findings highlight a notable emphasis on crimes against individuals, such as murder and assault, compared to other categories like financial and drug-related crimes. Over 4,093 crime incidents were reported, with crimes against persons dominating in 2021 and 2022. The study underscores the need for nuanced crime reporting and advocates for substantive engagement through editorials and analyses. By fostering awareness and discourse, print media can play a pivotal role in shaping public understanding of crime dynamics and promoting societal well-being.

Objective: This paper aimed to identify and explore the major areas of health-sector corruption during COVID-19 pandemic as revealed in the print media. Findings are expected to mitigate health sector corruption in the country and contribute to strengthening the health systems. Method: 2588 news articles on health topics were identified through scanning six leading newspapers in Bangladesh during Mar. 2020 to Mar. 2021. Of these, 97 news articles focusing on corruption in health system were selected for analysis. Findings: Findings reveal an all-embracing corruption at every stage, starting from procurement of medical supplies, to testing for COVID-19 to treatment and management of COVID-19 cases. The news papers reported about the low quality and general-purpose masks given to the frontline health workers, putting their personal protection from the virus at risk. Due to lack of stewardship and an effective monitoring system, quite a few private facilities were providing fake COVID-19 certificates, medicines and medical equipment at very high prices. For example, one particular hospital provided almost two thousand COVID-19 test certificates without testing. Although PPEs were originally sold at BDT 2000 per piece, double the amount was proposed for buying PPEs. Meropenem injection of the same quality was purchased by different government hospitals at unusually high prices. Among the measures taken to contain corruption during COVID-19 included filing cases, issuing arrest warrants and asking for submission of wealth statement and source of income of the accused persons. However, some of the accused eventually got released on bail. Conclusion: The media, as a mirror of the society, successfully made visible the underhand corruption that was happening even during the pandemic, fulfilling its obligations to the society. They faced quite some challenges in revealing related news, especially from the government whose initial reaction was of denial and indifference.Due to lack of transparency and accountability in the sector, the patients as well as the healthcare providers had to suffer a lot.

The search for a media funding model has attracted scholarly attention over the years due to the growing strategic importance of the media in spearheading critical public debates in contemporary societies. With the recent global financial and economic turmoil, it has become imperative that the search for funding model continues, especially for a developing country like Ghana where there is limited body of literature on the subject without sacrificing its global significance. On the premise that media should be strengthened financially to survive in a competitive market to better execute its public mandate functions, media businesses, particularly newspapers, need to explore revenue generation sources to ensure that they do not lean on a lone income stream. The present study examines the extent to which newspapers have diversified into non-media ventures and argues that by this funding approach, print firms have a better chance of sustaining their businesses, publications and achieving autonomy. Overall, this work shows that majority of the print firms in Ghana have not diversified at all, the few diversified ones are within the media industry and only Daily Graphic has invested into non-media ventures to generate revenue.

- Abstract
Aim Background Introduction Methods Results Conclusion Implications for nursing To explore the way the nursing profession was portrayed in online news coverage before and after the COVID‐19 pandemic. The power of the media can be used as a tool to introduce nursing services to society, make nursing visible, and influence the public perception of nursing.Analyzing the image of nursing as portrayed in the news can be a guide for more effective management of the media as a tool for positioning nursing in the future and presenting the right message.A qualitative design was applied. Three online newspapers published in the Turkish language—the most widely read newspapers in Turkey—were analyzed. The sample for this research consisted of 505 news articles containing the keywords “nurse” and “nursing” published before and after the COVID‐19 outbreak. The MAXQDA2022 software was used for data management. The articles selected were themed as news reflecting the nursing profession negatively, positively, and neutrally. When the negative and positive themes were compared, the two most repeated subthemes included (1) working conditions and being unprofessionalism; (2) impact on health, social recognition, and neutral included only subtheme that happens to you as a citizen/individual.Compared with the pre‐COVID‐19 period, there was an increase in news coverage reflecting portrayed nursing positively on the nursing profession in the post‐COVID‐19 period. Mass media, which are indispensable in social communication, can be used as an effective tool to improve the image of nursing in society. From nursing students to policymakers, all professionals must act in a planned and purposeful manner to present nursing professionals positively as leaders in public healthcare. This paper explores the proximity of local media to audiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is based on a case study of Italian daily L'Eco di Bergamo combining two sets of data: a list of initiatives the newspaper took in 2019 and 2020 to be closer to audiences, and interviews shedding light on how staff viewed the paper's relationship with audiences during that time. An analysis of these two datasets shows that the pandemic increased the newspaper's proximity to audiences but did not fundamentally change the way in which it related with audiences, despite significant changes in journalists' work routines. Based on these findings, the paper proposes a conceptualization of proximity as a dynamic balance between three structuring dimensions (gatekeeping, social and commercial), with a focus on audiences as a plural figure determined by news organizations' strategies. It is controversial whether English inflectional morphemes can be systematically borrowed into written Chinese since English and Chinese are typologically and orthographically different. This paper intends to investigate the borrowing of eight English inflectional morphemes [–'s (possessive), –(e)s (plural), –ed (past tense, past participle), –ing (present participle), –en (past participle),–s (the 3rd person singular), –er (comparative), and –est (superlative)] into Chinese with a corpus of Chinese newspapers collected from 2005 to 2021. The findings of this study suggest a significant presence of the systematically borrowed English inflectional morphemes into Chinese newspapers in terms of borrowability. Based on the analysis of the linguistic features and frequency distribution of the borrowed morphemes into Chinese newspapers, it can be concluded that the English inflectional morphemes borrowed can be well adapted into Chinese. Environmental issues in online newspapers allow environmental course instructors to examine social scientific topics in a sustainable. However, it remains a problem for instructors to fully examine the dimensions of knowledge connected to the environment in online newspapers. The purpose of this research is to develop a fundamental framework for studying scientific information in online newspapers that can be integrated into the curriculum and utilized successfully to foster environmentally conscious young people. The exploratory process utilizes Robert N. Entman's framing analysis model combined with Bloom's taxonomy. According to Bloom's taxonomy, framing has two dimensions: environmental issue selection and issue emphasis, which is centered on the knowledge dimension. The findings indicate that the Mongabay media, in generating news about environmental concerns such as mangrove degradation can highlight the full aspects of environmental knowledge, allowing it to be utilized as a medium for environmental learning in the classroom. However, the information presented on Mongabay media reveals more of the dimension of knowledge at a factual level only. Therefore, it is still to enrich material especially that which is not presented in the news to explore conceptual and procedural dimensions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Suicide is a serious mental health problem in India, and suicide rates in India have risen over the past decades. Reporting of suicide by the media is a common cause for spurts of suicides that may occur. Methodology: Suspected suicide by the renowned actor Sushant Singh Rajput was selected as the reference case. The top two Indian daily newspapers published in English having the highest circulation as per data provided by the Registrar of Newspapers, Government of India, were selected to be part of the study. The authors screened all news stories in the two newspapers within a 6-month period (3 months prior and 3 months post the date of the reference suicide case), and these news reports were evaluated as per the suicide reporting guidelines for media laid down by the Indian Psychiatric Society. The data were analyzed using Chi-square test and descriptive statistics where appropriate. Results: Our search yielded 158 articles from a period of 6 months, with 50 articles published before the suspected celebrity suicide and 108 published after. 29.7% had the word suicide in headline, 14.6% of them had news printed on the first page, 17.7% had a suicide note mentioned, whereas 1.9% mentioned prior attempts by victim. Conclusions: There is no change in media trend toward reporting suicide as noted following postcelebrity suicide, and so it is essential that media follow guidelines stringently when reporting a serious problem like suicide. - Abstract
The aim of this study is to analyze the nationalist discourses used in the reproduction of national identity through the representation of athletes in the press within the framework of the relationship between sports and nationalism. In this context, the study focuses on the defection of weightlifting athlete Naim Süleymanoğlu to Turkey and the nationalist discourses in the press before, during and after the 1988 Seoul Summer Olympics in South Korea. The theoretical framework of the research was formed based on the literature on the relationship sports, nationalism, and media. In the qualitative research design, qualitative content analysis technique was used. The sample of the study consists of news articles and columns in the online archive of Milliyet Newspaper between 1984 and 2000. As a result of the content analysis, the findings revealed three main themes: The first is the theme of “Bulgarian persecution”, which was prominent in the first period of the athlete’s defection to Turkey. This theme stands out with the discourse of “anti-communism” and “negative/enemy/other”, one of the mainstays of Turkish nationalism. The second theme is in line with the “strong state” and “positive/we/Turkish” discourse, which is one of the triangulation points of Turkish nationalism. The second theme is in line with the “strong state” “positive/we/Turkish” discourse, which is one of the triangulation points of Turkish nationalism. The third theme is the “positive/national pride” theme that became prominent in the media discourse after the athlete’s performance success in the Olympics. The results of the research show that the nationalist discourse in the press has a content compatible with the “Turkish-Islamic synthesis” of the period and that national identity is reproduced within the framework of this content. The media coverage of religious communities can have an impact on society and contribute to the manifestation of certain images in society. Since recent surveys show social tensions concerning Muslims and Jews, it is important to monitor media coverage. In this study, we investigate the images of Christianity, Islam, and Judaism in the news media. Theoretically, the approaches of framing and narrative patterns are used. The study was conducted in two steps. (1) Focus group discussions were held with members of the three religions, which showed, among other things, that all three religious groups do not feel adequately represented. (2) A quantitative content analysis of selected Swiss newspaper articles (online and print) was conducted. The results of the content analysis suggest that a different perspective is taken depending on the religious community: while Christianity is framed from an internal perspective, Judaism and Islam are framed from an external perspective. INSIDER trading in securities ,NEWSPAPER publishing ,LOCAL mass media ,SMALL business ,PROFIT ,INFORMATION dissemination - Abstract
This study examines the informational value of local news outlets and how they affect insider trading. We hypothesize that local news coverage is a critical channel through which outsiders acquire local information, which restricts insiders' ability to profit from their information advantage. We argue that a loss of local news coverage increases information opacity faced by outsiders, while making it easier for insiders to seize profitable trading opportunities. Exploring the staggered shutdown of local newspapers, our difference-in-differences estimation presents novel evidence that insiders from closure counties trade more profitably after local newspaper closures, particularly in small firms that lack alternative news sources. Further analyses reaffirm that the post-closure increase in trading profits is unlikely to be wholly driven by regional economic conditions and is likely driven by increased information costs. Our results highlight that local newspapers play a meaningful role in mitigating information asymmetry between insiders and outsiders. Data Availability: Data used in this study are available from the sources identified in the paper. JEL Classifications: G14; G30; L82. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The present investigation entitled "Studies on shelf life of brinjal (Solanum melongena L.) under different organic packaging materials" was conducted at the Research lab, ITM University, Gwalior (M.P.). Brinjal (Solanum melongena L.) is an important and indigenous vegetable crop of India. Brinjal or eggplant belongs to the family of Solanaceae is one of the most common popular and principle vegetable crops grown in India and other parts of the world. Brinjals or eggplants are rich sources of vitamins, minerals and antioxidant capacity. Eggplant is also a natural source of vitamin A; thus, it plays an important role for vision and eye health. Lack of appropriate postharvest storage management practices are reported to cause up to 50% of yield losses of vegetable crops between harvesting and consumption. Packaging is a co-ordinated system of preparing goods for transport, and good for shelf life, distribution, storage, retailing and end use. The experiment was laid out in the Completely Randomized Design with four replications. Each replication was comprised of ten treatment consisting of different packing material viz., news paper, tissue paper, paddy straw, gunny bag, butter paper, banana leaf, CFB, craft paper and caster leaf were used for induced the shelf life of brinjal. Result concluded that the different packing materials viz., newspaper, tissue paper, paddy straw, gunny bag, butter paper, banana leaf, CFB (10 x 10 cm²), craft paper and caster leaf were significantly influenced the shelf life of brinjal. The treatment T
3 (Paddy straw) was found the best packing material treatment among all packing material treatments for enhancing shelf life of brinjal and it gave the maximum physical parameters. However, the minimum physical parameters were recorded in treatment T0 (Control). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]- Published

Headlines are important parts of any news and newspaper. They serve as an overview of the story or article. This study aims to describe and analyze the news headlines of the past 5 issues of the school publication in one of the state universities in Region III, Philippines. Specifically, it focuses on the types of grammatical structures are used in the headline writing; patterns that the headlines observe; semantic categories of the headwords of the headlines; reasons why the headlines framed the way they appear in the newspaper; and implications of the results to future journalism training and campus paper publication. The study is a sequential explanatory type of research that used the Fair clough theory to analyze the previous issues of the newspaper. After which, the results were presented to the two (2) advisers of the newspaper who served as the participants during the interview. It was found out that the last five issues of the student publication of a university in the Philippines commonly used clausal headlines, Subject-Verb Phrase-Direct Object clausal pattern, Headword-Post modifier phrasal headlines, and proper names for the headwords of the headlines. The participants of the study explained that the patterns were adopted for clarity, comprehensiveness, getting the reader's attention, conciseness, and identification. Therefore, it is recommended that continuous training must be given to the student writers to be able to be abreast of other styles and techniques so that they can present news in a comprehensive, clear, concise, and attractive way. The general objective of the study was to investigate Nigerian newspaper reportage of domestic violence in Nigeria. Specifically, the study determined: volume of coverage of domestic violence stories; story sources; frames used in reportage; and themes employed in the articles. Three daily Nigerian newspapers were purposively selected for the research, namely, Daily Sun, the Guardian, and Vanguard newspapers. A total of 252 editions of these newspapers were analysed using composite week sampling technique from January to December 2017. Coverage for each newspaper includes Daily Sun 7 (21%), The Guardian 14(42%), and Vanguard 12(36%). These show that 33 stories on domestic violence were covered from the 252 editions sampled, indicating a low volume of coverage. This illustrates that domestic violence is an underreported crime in Nigeria. This further indicates that the depth of coverage was substandard with zero emphases made on educating the audience on the dangers of domestic violence to society. Other findings include nine stories sources reportage of domestic violence. These including; neighbours 8(24%), victim’s families/friends 5(15%), police 5(15%), victims 4(12%), perpetrators 3(9%), government agencies 3(9%), court 3(9%), NGOs 1(3%) and unspecified sources 1(3%). Furthermore, five types of frame are used for reportage domestic violence in Nigeria newspapers. These include among others, human interest frame 17(52%), conflict frame 9(27%), responsibility frame 4(12%), consequence frame 2(6%) and morality frame 1(3%). Based on the findings, five remmendations were made, including that the content and language adopted innthe reportage should call out domestic violence for what it is, placing the blame where it belongs. Centering the role of Anishinabe storytelling, this thesis aims to interrogate the kinds of worlds that the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s Tribal Observer and mainstream media throughout Michigan create with the stories each tells about boarding schools. I deploy quantitative and qualitative methods of frame analysis to confirm which elements are most prevalent in each source. Quantitative data reveals that the Tribal Observer and mainstream media vary in the frequency of publishing and most visible frames. Qualitative data reveals a “Federal Fix:” frame in mainstream media and an “Interconnected” frame in the Tribal Observer. In conclusion, this thesis finds that Tribal journalism is an integral component of Native Nation building.

Oath ,civil constitution of the clergy ,newspaper ,retraction ,History (General) and history of Europe ,Christianity ,BR1-1725 - Abstract
Between 1789 and 1790, more than 200 newspapers were created in Paris. Fewer than those called « revolutionary » newspapers and which appeared at the same time as the Patriote movement in the summer of 1789, there are newspapers that devote all of their lines to evoking religious questions concerning French Catholics and the Church of France. A first moment provoked the appearance of new newspapers at the time of the discussions and the vote of the Civil Constitution of the Clergy (July 1790). This law, as well as the oath that will accompany it, feeds a real editorial schism as well as dogmatic that can be read day after day in the Parisian sheets. A few weeks after the obligation to take the oath, some newspapers publish advertisements of the taking of the oath while others publish retractions. These are short texts often accompanied by justifications to explain their reversal. The analysis of these explanations is essential to try to identify the identity of this group as well as the feelings that cross it. Against the official discourse that tries to preserve a semblance of national unity undermined by the major reforms of parliamentarians, « the retracted » reluctantly assume the costume of the adversary or even enemy, carrying the vices and evils denounced by the newspapers and constitutional priests (sworn). A mirror game is set up where the image built by the editors is totally reversed from one newspaper to another.

The article presents the history of the search for Louis Boussenard’s novel L’Orpheline de Montmartre undertaken by the author since 2011. The French original of this work was lost, the title is totally unknown to French specialists, and the only evidence of its creation was a pre-revolutionary translation into Russian. The author of the article analyses the translation of E.N. Kiselyov, identifies the narrative elements characteristic of Boussenard, which make it possible to exclude the falsification of authorship, establishes the date of the first publication of the Russian translation, and finds sporadic mentions of this novel in French sources. The analysis of these documents allows to put forward a hypothesis that the novel in question was published in the Parisian daily “La Petite République” and reprinted by an unknown regional socialist newspaper. This hypothesis was exactly confirmed after the digitization in 2015 of the daily socialist newspaper “L’Égalité de Roubaix-Tourcoing.” The result of this discovery was the first book publication of the novel L’Orpheline de Montmartre in French (2017).

This study aims to analyze cohesion and coherence in forming the wholeness of the discourse contained in the Radar Sulawesi Barat daily. This research was qualitative. The data was collected using listening and note-taking techniques with several stages: reading, marking, and classifying. The data obtained in this study were written as elements that made up the wholeness of the discourse. The method and technique of data analysis used was the intralingual equivalent method with the comparison technique of equating the main points. Based on the study's results, cohesion and coherence shape the wholeness of discourse in the Radar Sulawesi Barat daily. Discourse cohesion found in this study was a marker of grammatical and lexical cohesion. Grammatical cohesion markers include (1) references, (2) substitutions, and (3) conjunctions. Lexical cohesion markers are repetition; the repetition obtained consists of (1) complete repetition, (2) repetition with changes in form, (3) repetition with changes, (4) repetition with synonym changes, and (5) repetition with hyponyms. In addition to repetition, a marker of lexical cohesion was also found, namely collocation. Furthermore, the element that forms the wholeness of discourse was coherence. This study had a meaning or semantic relationship between elements or sentences in the discourse, which can be used as a strategy for learning Indonesian.

Recycling plant-based materials for various applications not only reduces the harm to the environment but also presents an excellent green source for nanomaterial synthesis. Being chiral and biodegradable makes cellulose, which is an organic polymer, an economic and easy-to-access plant-derived green material. Cellulose can be synthesized into nanostructures for a vast array of high-demand applications, such as drug delivery; biomedicines, which includes "biosensors and diagnostics"; medical implants; skin tissue healing; wastewater treatment; touch screen technology; electronic skin; human–machine interfaces; flexible devices; energy storage devices; clothes; packaging; and cosmetics. The daily newspapers that are delivered to our homes can be one of the best sources of cellulose for us. Our work in this study concentrated on removing nanocrystalline cellulose from newspapers. To begin, we deinked the newspapers and then the deinked pulp was transformed into its nanostructures, or nanocrystalline cellulose, to achieve a high aspect ratio, on the one hand, using chemicals like NaOH, thiourea, etc., and on the other side, via a mechanical process. We used a variety of characterization techniques, including scanning electron microscopy to study morphological properties, X-ray diffraction, and dynamic light scattering for dimensional analysis, Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy for thermogravimetric analysis, and others, to confirm that the synthesized materials had achieved the intended outcomes. A high aspect ratio enables us to create surfaces with a huge surface area with very little synthetic material. The final product, which was created by synthesis, has been discovered to have features that are identical to those of nanocrystalline cellulose, which is available for purchase in the market for use in laboratory purposes. To make nanocomposites, this nanocrystalline cellulose can be combined with various organic and inorganic polymers, which can be further used as a base material for energy storage devices. In this paper, we compared our materials at different time durations used in synthesis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This thesis traces the birth and spread of the newspaper in the Holy Roman Empire in the first half of the seventeenth century. It examines the emergence of the new form of communication between 1605, the year that Johann Carolus of Strasbourg published the first newspapers and 1650, when publishing periodical news had become firmly embedded in the European information world. The eventual success of the newspaper as the foremost purveyor of news was not foreordained. The newspapers made their way in an established news market, and drew their coverage from many of the established European news hubs, Vienna, Cologne, Amsterdam, Paris, Venice and Rome. As with the invention of printing, the fundamental problems connected with the first age of newspaper publishing were essentially economic: start-up capital, distribution, collecting subscriptions. Periodicity also introduced special challenges not familiar in the wider book world, such as the need for a steady supply of news, and the ethics of reporting. Formulating a set of rules and ethics that could govern all forms of reporting proved to be problematic. Newspaper in Germany ostentatiously avoided the bias and propagandistic rhetoric of established forms of news distribution, such as broadsheets and pamphlets. But this in turn meant that the absence of context and background made the purely factual reports favoured by the newspaper difficult for relatively inexperienced readers to understand. In the first part of this dissertation, based on the inspection and analysis of some 8,000 surviving issues, two chapters explore the emerging world of German newspapers, the distribution of new titles and their longevity. The second chapter refines our picture of the German news world, based on a detailed analysis of the places from which news was received, the ‘places of correspondence'. Two further chapters contextualise this broader treatment through an examination of the news reporting of two major events: the death of the Swedish king Gustavus Adolphus at the Battle of Lützen, and the execution of King Charles I of England in 1649. These case studies also provide the opportunity for a sustained comparison with the emerging newspaper markets of other parts of Europe, and with the provision of news through manuscript newsletters, still the gold standard for accuracy and reliability even in the age of printed news.
