Adolescents represent the future generation, so it is important to pay attention to behaviors that involve them as actors in social activities and constitute the expression of an adequate growth path. Engaging in pro-environmental behaviors leads adolescents to do something good for themselves, for their own community, and for the place in which they live, and this type of conduct increases their levels of well-being and place attachment. This study examines the association between pro-environmental behavior and personal and social well-being in a sample of 1925 adolescents aged 14 to 20 years. Structural equation analyses showed a direct positive effect of pro-environmental behavior on personal and social well-being as well as place attachment. The latter partially mediated the relationship between pro-environmental behaviors and personal and social well-being. This study is significant in that it provides new data on how pro-environmental behaviors enhance adolescents’ personal and social well-being by potentially ensuring long-term benefits, thereby suggesting that it is important to stimulate, motivate, and recommend these kinds of actions.

This study investigated the associations between parental monitoring, peer pressure, and motivations for responsible drinking, while also taking the mediating role of positive alcohol expectancies into account. The participants were 579 Italian adolescents, aged 14-20 years (M = 16.39 years, SD = 1.27; 55.3% females), involved in a cross-sectional survey. They were administered online self-report questionnaires. Structural equation modeling revealed both direct and indirect positive associations between study variables. Parental monitoring was positively associated, both directly and indirectly, with adolescents' motivations for responsible drinking through the mediation of positive alcohol expectancies; peer pressure was negatively and indirectly associated with adolescents' motivations for responsible drinking, via the mediating role of positive alcohol expectancies. Findings highlighted the importance of environmental factors with regard to motivations for responsible drinking, suggesting the opportunity to implement prevention programs to improve parental monitoring and increase adolescents' skills to manage peer pressure and to develop realistic expectancies about drinking.

Dû à l’initiative de Théories et Pratiques Scientifiques (TPS), groupe de travail de la Société Française des Sciences de l’Information et de la Communication (SFSIC) dirigé par Robert Boure, cet ouvrage collectif s’intéresse aux origines (années 1970-1980) des sciences de l’information et de la communication (SIC), question largement inédite tant dans le champ de cette discipline que dans celui de l’histoire des sciences sociales. Il s’adresse aussi bien aux étudiants, aux enseignants et aux chercheurs de la 71e section du Conseil National des Universités, qu’aux praticiens de l’information et de la communication qui souhaitent en savoir davantage sur « l’invention » d’une discipline d’où ils sont de plus en plus nombreux à être issus. Les auteurs ont entendu produire une histoire non hagiographique et non rétrospective, et par conséquent une histoire éloignée des vérités officielles, des « grands récits » et de la glorification des « Pères fondateurs » ou prétendus tels, tout en s’intéressant plus particulièrement aux dimensions institutionnelles - mal connues - ainsi qu’à leurs articulations avec la production intellectuelle et avec les principaux débats du champ. Ils ont choisi d’éclairer les origines des SIC à partir tantôt de « temps forts » analysés de façon synchronique ou diachronique, tantôt de questions récurrentes qui ont fortement marqué leurs premières années d’existence et qui restent très prégnantes dans une discipline dont la construction institutionnelle et cognitive est loin d’être achevée (professionnalisation des formations, carrière des enseignants-chercheurs, gestion des transfuges, organisation de la recherche, légitimation, rapports avec les autres disciplines...).

La pandemia da COVID-19 rappresenta una minaccia per il benessere psicologico degli adolescenti per via delle problematiche legate allo stress causato dall'isolamento sociale. Attraverso la somministrazione di un questionario online anonimo, l'obiettivo dello studio è esplorare, in un gruppo di 345 adolescenti (età 15-19 anni), la relazione tra la paura da COVID-19 e i livelli di stress, i sintomi di ansia e depressione, e il ruolo di quest'ultima sul benessere. I risultati confermano che la paura da COVID-19 è positivamente associata ai livelli di stress e ai sintomi dell'ansia, e quest'ultima media la relazione tra i livelli di de-pressione e stress. I risultati evidenziano la necessità di proporre azioni utili a promuovere il benessere psicologico negli adolescenti.

Cette thèse d’anthropologie religieuse examine le dossier de trois figures arcadiennes de Déméter rencontrées dans la description de l’Arcadie de Pausanias : la Déméter Kidaria de Phénéos, la double Déméter Érinys et Lousia de Thelpousa et la Déméter Melaina de Phigalie. Ces trois cultes partagent une figuration de Déméter (déesse souvent honorée aux côtés de sa fille et parfois même désignée avec elle au duel), seule quoique en elle-même équivoque ou plurielle, voire dédoublée. À partir de ces dédoublements, la sélection opérée vise à contribuer aux études initiées notamment par et autour de Marcel Detienne sur le fonctionnement du polythéisme grec, par le repérage des panthéons qui s’articulent dans nos trois cultes en des configurations précises. À travers une relecture minutieuse de la Périégèse, confrontée aux données issues de toutes les autres sources disponibles, nous faisons dialoguer ces trois configurations et les réinsérons dans le tissu général du polythéisme grec.

Social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic contributed to modifying relational habits and increasing Internet use to engage in antisocial behaviours such as cybervictimisation. Additionally, social distancing can reinforce the relationship with internalising behaviours such as depression. Through an adolescent sample, this study examines the relationship between cybervictimisation and well-being and the mediating role of depression. The hypothesis was tested via Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis to verify the role of depression as a mediator between cybervictimisation and well-being. The main results reveal that the effect of cybervictimisation on well-being was fully mediated by depression. The findings should stimulate debate on possible interventions to promote adolescent well-being and to avoid emotional and mental health problems related to social isolation.

Background: Vitamin D deficiency has been associated with the severity of COVID-19. The role of vitamin D in pregnant women with COVID-19 has been poorly investigated to date. The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of vitamin D in affecting some clinical features in pregnancy between SARS-CoV-2 positive and negative patients. Methods: Vitamin D pathway related polymorphisms and 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels were quantified in pregnant women followed from the first to the third trimester of pregnancy. Vitamin D deficiency was considered with values ≤ 30 ng/mL. Results: In total, 160 women were enrolled: 23 resulted positive for at least one SARS-CoV-2 related test (molecular swab or antibody tests). Vitamin D-associated polymorphisms were able to affect vitamin D levels in SARS-CoV-2 negative and positive subjects: remarkably, all the VDR TaqICC genotype patients were negative for SARS-CoV-2. In a sub-population (118 patients), vitamin D levels correlated with pregnancy-related factors, such as alpha-fetoprotein levels. Third-trimester vitamin D levels were lower in preterm births compared to full-term pregnancy: this trend was highlighted for SARS-CoV-2 positive patients. Conclusions: This is the first study demonstrating a role of vitamin D in affecting the clinical characteristics of pregnant women during the COVID-19 era. Further studies in larger and different cohorts of patients are required to confirm these findings.

The identification of factors that counter youth's radicalization while promoting democratic activism is a timely social issue. This paper examines the association of psychological well-being (PWB) with violent radicalism and nonviolent activism, by focusing on the mediating role of both social disconnectedness (SD) and the perceived illegitimacy of the authorities (PIoA). Two mediation structural equation models (full vs. partial) were applied to data collected from 328 Italian adolescents (14-19 years). The results showed how SD and PIoA fully mediated the link of PWB with radicalism (negatively) and activism (positively). This model was further supported when compared with an alternative one proposing PWB as a mediator between SD and PIoA. The findings are discussed in light of the existing literature and provide potential implications for practice.

International audience; Partant de l’exemple des Damateres rhodiennes, attestées par l’épigraphie (voir notamment à Lindos Blinkenberg, Lindos II, n° 183, c. 200-170 av. n. ère et à Camiros Blinkenberg, Lindos II, n° 671 = LSS 95 = CGRN 149, c. 50 av. n. è. – 50 de. n. è.), que des traditions historiographiques ont cru reconnaître dans des statuettes présentant une paire de divinités féminines dupliquées voire représentées dans une forme de gémellité siamoise, composées d’un corps dont sortent deux têtes identiques, cette intervention se propose de présenter plusieurs exemples de désignations collectives, duelles ou plurielles, de Déméter – la désignant avec sa fille Koré, avec, peut-être, sa fille Despoina en Arcadie, avec d’autres divinités – voire impliquant une pluralité de Déméters. Ces Déméters au duel (les τὼ θεώ d’Éleusis) ou au pluriel (au sein de la désignation des Thesmophoroi, des Megalai Theai, parfois des Despoinai – titre collectif qui peut aussi désigner d’autres paires ou collectivités de divinités…). À travers ce riche dossier, dont l’exemple rhodien servira de fil directeur, nous explorerons les enjeux des relations dans lesquelles s’insère Déméter au sein du polythéisme grec, en dialogue quand c’est possible avec l’iconographie, et que nous confronterons à d’autres exemples de paires divines.

Cannabinoid derivates have been largely used for different medical purpose. In the literature, several methods capable of separating THC and its principles metabolites are described, although Δ8- and Δ9-THC separation has not been completely achieved. THC metabolism has not been fully understood and metabolites plasma distribution in healthy and pathological patients remains to further deepen. The aim of this study was the validation of UHPLC-MS/MS method for the quantification of 10 cannabinoids in human plasma, as important tool for improving clinical efficacy of cannabis administration. Obtained results were in accordance with recommendations of ICH Harmonised Guideline for bioanalytical method validation, showing a good linearity, optimal accuracy as well as satisfactory results in terms of intra-day and inter-day precision and matrix effect. Furthermore, blood sampling study was performed to investigate the better collection method. Optimal separation of Δ-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC), Δ8-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ8-THC) was obtained. The present method showed optimal linearity and satisfactory results in terms of specificity and selectivity. Recovery was between 92.0% and 96.5% for all analytes. The matrix-effect showed good performance; no carry over was observed. Cannabinoid metabolites present in higher plasma concentrations were: 11-Hydroxy-Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol, 11-Nor-9carboxy-Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol and THC-COOH-glucuronide. Method performance makes it suitable for routine purposes and a potential tool for therapeutic ranges definition. The present work will be used to test several samples in a long-term clinical study, paving the way for further future works.

Cannabis oils from FM2®, Bedica®, Bediol®, Bedrocan®, Bedrolite® and Pedanios 22/1® are largely used for medical purposes such as spasticity, chronic pain and appetite stimulating. Several studies showed cannabinoids action on CB1 and CB2 receptors reduces the hyperalgesic phase in inflammatory pain, leading to an improvement of conditions. The active compounds of these galenic preparations show a high variability making titration mandatory. For this reason, the exact oil composition knowledge is fundamental for personalizing therapy. This amis at adapting the correct dose to the patient, improving safety and efficacy of the galenic formulation, choosing the best preparation for each patient.The aim of this study was to investigate oil preparations variability among different galenic laboratories in order to highlight the importance of titration activity.Cannabis pharmacological active compounds titration has been performed in a large cohort of galenic laboratories in Italy. CBD, CBN, THC, THCA and CBDA quantification was carried out by a previous validated method in UHPLC-MS/MS.A number of 4318 samples of Cannabis oil from 83 pharmacies between January 2021 and February 2022 were evaluated. All galenic preparation specialities showed statistically significant differences among galenic laboratories (p-value0.001). THCA and CBDA concentrations were investigated as percentage of the extration yelds for total THC and CBD: these compounds had different values in the same specialities among distinct galenic laboratories. Moreover, seasonal variability in analytes concentrations was observed.This study described a wide range of oily samples from a large number of galenic laboratories, compared to published papers. In conclusion, knowledge of the exact oil composition is fundamental in the perspective of personalized therapy. Further studies aiming at the correlation between galenic composition and cannabinoids pharmacokinetics, clinical outcomes and toxic effects could be useful to improve our knowledge.

Tacrolimus (TAC) is a first-choice immunosuppressant for solid organ transplantation, characterized by high potential for drug-drug interactions, significant inter- and intra-patient variability, and narrow therapeutic index. Therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) of TAC concentrations in whole blood (WB) is capable of reducing the incidence of adverse events. Since TAC acts within lymphocytes, its monitoring in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) may represent a valid future alternative for TDM. Nevertheless, TAC intracellular concentrations and their variability are poorly described, particularly in the pediatric context. Therefore, our aim was describing TAC concentrations in WB and PBMC and their variability in a cohort of pediatric patients undergoing constant immunosuppressive maintenance therapy, after liver transplantation. TAC intra-PBMCs quantification was performed through a validated UHPLC–MS/MS assay over a period of 2–3 months. There were 27 patients included in this study. No significant TAC changes in intracellular concentrations were observed (p = 0.710), with a median percent change of −0.1% (IQR −22.4%–+46.9%) between timings: this intra-individual variability was similar to the one in WB, −2.9% (IQR −29.4–+42.1; p = 0.902). Among different patients, TAC weight-adjusted dose and age appeared to be significant predictors of TAC concentrations in WB and PBMC. Intra-individual seasonal variation of TAC concentrations in WB, but not in PBMC, have been observed. These data show that the intra-individual variability in TAC intracellular exposure is comparable to the one observed in WB. This opens the way for further studies aiming at the identification of therapeutic ranges for TAC intra-PBMC concentrations.

In recent years, studies have extensively explored both personal and environmental predictors of cyberbullying. Among these predictors, parental monitoring and school climate were often expected to be associated with cyberbullying behaviors. However, little is known about the mediating mechanisms through which these relations may develop. The present study aimed to expand the current research by testing a theoretical model including the mediating role of moral disengagement in the relations between parental monitoring (including less collaborative vs. more collaborative strategies), school climate, and cyberbullying behaviors. Five hundred and seventy-one Italian adolescents (54.5% male) aged 14 to 20 years were recruited from high schools. Measures included demographics and parental monitoring, school climate, moral disengagement and cyberbullying scales. To test the hypothesized model, we estimated full and partial mediation models by structural equation modeling. Results showed negative indirect links of parental monitoring (but only the more collaborative strategies) and school climate with cyberbullying via moral disengagement. Less collaborative strategies of parental monitoring were neither directly nor indirectly related to cyberbullying. The findings revealed moral disengagement as an important process in explaining how ecological factors, such as parenting behaviors and school environments, are associate with cyberbullying. Limitations, strengths, and implications for practice are presented.
