This article explores links that can be established among indigenous and Afro-descendent thought developed in Latin America during the 20th century. By drawing a comparison between the Caribbean and Andean regions, we specifically concentrate on the intellectual work of an indigenous Bolivian and an Afro-Caribbean from Martinique: Fausto Reinaga and Frantz Fanon. Reinaga‘s inaugural writings on indianista thought reveal several references to the work of Fanon, providing material for our analysis. We argue that such allusions are not mere accessories, but rather fundamental elements for the kind of indianismo that the Quechua-Aymara author develops; that is, an anticolonial thought in which universal and human horizons are present.

The objective of this study is to find out the results of the analysis of student responses to mathematics learning through online media. This is descriptive quanlitative study that focuses on learning evaluation using online media. The population are students of class X TBSM, XI OTKP, and XI AKL SMK PGRI Sukoharjo. The sample are selected using simple random sampling technique. The data collection instrument using an online learning questionnaire and for the data analysis use descriptive statistics. The results show that student learn using online media as very effective (7.90%), most of them rated it as effective (34.2%) and ordinary (28.9%). There are also students who considered online learning as ineffective (21.1%) and very ineffective (7.90%). To make mathematics learning even more effective, teachers or educators are further expected to apply the seven principles given by students, namely (1) Learning through video calls, (2) Providing brief learning materials, (3) Providing videos in delivering material, (4) Minimize sending material in the form of large files to save mobile data, (5) Material selection in the video must be based on language criteria that is easy to understand, (6) Keep providing material before assignments, (7) Reducing assignments

Everyday, an estimated 300 million women and girls menstruate. The main problem for adolescents during menstruation is the lack of knowledge about menstrual hygiene management (MHM). During menstruation, women should really be able to keep the reproductive organs extra clean, especially the vaginal part, because if they are not kept clean, it will cause excess microorganisms and can interfere with reproductive function. The purpose of this community service is to identify the knowledge and understanding of students about menstrual hygiene management. This activity was attended by as many as 150 students. The method used in this community service through several stages, including compiling an activity plan, coordinating and advocating with the school, the second stage, namely implementation by providing material on online menstrual hygiene management with ZOOM teleconferencing media, evaluating activities through Google Form. An important problem that is often neglected in the study of Indonesian history today is the lack of discussion of the local historical context. History teachers are often fixated on the material presented in lks and course textbooks. Like a lack of attention to historical events that have happened around. For this reason, it is necessary to introduce local historical material to increase students' historical awareness, such as material on the local history of the struggle of the Mobrig troops in Yogyakarta. The research methodology used to increase students' historical awareness is descriptive qualitative. This method is carried out by distributing a questionnaire containing questions about historical awareness. The findings obtained at SMK N 1 Pengasih Kulon Progo show that the historical awareness of students has increased, this can be seen after the researcher gave a questionnaire before and after providing material on the Fight for Mobrig Troops in Yogyakarta. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that by providing local history material to students at SMK N 1 Pengasih Kulon Progo it can increase students' historical awareness.

The purpose of this study is to provide training in the form of skills in building online-based businesses. In simple terms, the activity trains participants on how to market a product using the internet as the main capital. This online business training consists of three parts, namely providing material about business online, the direct practice of creating an account and using social media Instagram and marketplaces, and creating persuasive messages in order to attract buying interest. The results of this study are quite good. Housewives at Saung Singgah TPU Pondok Kopi, who participated in this training, we're able to understand the online business well, were able to create accounts on social media Instagram and the marketplace as a means of online sales quite well even though there were still mothers in making persuasive messages. -Mothers who have not been able to and have not been able to make good persuasive messages. It is hoped that the sustainability of this activity will provide deeper knowledge and insights about online-based businesses through social media and marketplaces.

The plastic waste processing handicraft group is a group consisting of housewives who process waste or plastic waste into a handicraft product that has economic added value for group members. The problems experienced by this group start from the production process, business management, and marketing. The results of the implementation through the community partnership program (CPM) the companion team provided solutions related to problems faced by partners, namely providing materials and training partners who have started using plastic plastic waste bags as handicraft products in the form of handbags, flower garlands, and flower fitting, as well as the availability of partners raw material providers that support production. Providing material as well as how to make financial reports, the result is that partners already have production and sales records, and know turnover. Partners are also given organizational training, as a result group members have already done work based on the given job. Therefore, this researcher provides a solution by learning through Android-based MLM (Mobile Learning Media).The specific objective of this research is to develop a basketball learning model with an Android-based MLM (Mobile Learning Media) system that launches a basketball learning application via Android that can be downloaded by anyone and learning becomes easier. With the development of this method, it is hoped that it can provide solutions to teachers / lecturers, especially basketball lecturers in providing material to students during the current pandemic.

Breastfeeding is very beneficial for babies, mothers and families. However, not all mothers provide breastfeeding exclusively to their babies, because there are very limited breastfeeding counselors and the low availability of educational facilities and infrastructure on breastfeeding. The solution offered is to provide assistance and training to midwives who have not become breastfeeding counselors to be able to provide breastfeeding counseling using the Dukesi media (Breastfeeding Package Module). Dukesi is a module that makes it easier for mothers to get various information about breastfeeding. The training was attended by 26 midwives from 26 Primary Health Care in Blora District, conducted for 3 meetings. The first meeting was the pretest, delivering material on the role of health workers to increase exclusive breastfeeding coverage, use of health education media, material on the breastfeeding package module. The second meeting was providing material on breastfeeding counseling technique skills. The third meeting is the practice of breastfeeding counseling, posttest and evaluation. This means that the application of new teaching methods can certainly have an impact and change even without eliminating the meaning of the learning itself. Thus, the application of the learning model is not only to attract students' interest and attention to the provision of lecture material, but to familiarize themselves so that they want to develop themselves in receiving information so that in the end it will improve their learning outcomes. This is because students are the final level in a learning process which is expected not only to have good character and personality, but also to have insight and knowledge globally as well.

The problem is that most mothers do not understand correctly in stimulating and assessing their child's growth. The output produced is the application of science and technology and increasing the quantity and quality of child development.Implementation of activities with the transfer of science and technology is carried out directly on 29-30 November 2017 targeting toddlers and their mothers in the D3 Midwifery Study Program FK Unissula Semarang. The form of transfer of science and technology begins with pre-test and ends with post-test, education is delivered by providing material about the development and stimulation of children, followed by growth assessment using KPSP.The level of understanding of mothers from the pre-test and post-test results increased by 4.55%, mothers of toddlers know how to stimulate the development of their toddlers. The most important thing from this activity is the mothers will transfer or teach other mothers of children under five, both at home and in the office.

The method of activity used is to visit the Forum Muslimah Depok, Al-Awwal Mosque, addressed on Jalan Mawar Raya, Depok Jaya and look for problems that are in place so as to provide the right solution in motivating members who has business or UMKM in Depok, West Java, especially for Jama’ah Masjid Al Awwal Masjid Depok Jaya and gave training there on 01-03 October 2019. This training aims to develop the ability to increase marketing through online media with SEO methods and techniques (Search Engine Optimization) for Muslimah Forum members, Al-Awwal Mosque, Depok Jaya. The results of community service activities (PKM) obtained indicate that prior to the implementation of PKM, Depok Muslimah Forum members did not yet know the terms related to product marketing via online media, but after the implementation of activities known members of the Depok Muslimah Forum could understand the basics of content creation with simple SEO rules. In Mergosono Sub-District, Kedungkandang District, there are 6 (six) Pos PAUD. Pos PAUD Putih Melati is one of the Pos PAUD located in RW 1, Mergosono Sub-District, Kedungkandang District. This Pos PAUD was created with the aim of meeting the needs of the surrounding community, especially with regard to early childhood education. So far, Pos PAUD have been managed more based on principles from, by and for the community. The method used in this PkM is the transfer of knowledge and discussion of problems. The implementation of activities in the form of management training and financial administration of Pos PAUD, procurement of Educational Game Equipment (APE), procurement of APE storage lockers, and procurement of Pos PAUD financial administration books. Financial Management and Administration Training for the managers of Pos PAUD Putih Melati was the result of the initial discussion. Based on the results of the discussion it was found that the Pos PAUD Putih Melati manager experienced obstacles in terms of financial management and administration. Therefore, dedication was carried out in the form of providing material related to the management and financial administration of Pos PAUD Putih Melati. Overall, the service activities carried out at the Pos PAUD Putih Melati can be said to be successful. This success is not only measured by the four components above, it can also be seen from the participants' satisfaction after participating in the activities and the use of APE by students of the Pos PAUD Putih Melati. Based on the results of the implementation of the dedication that has been carried out, several suggestions can be submitted, namely: 1) The time of the implementation of the service activities needs to be increased so that the objectives of the activity can be fully achieved. 2) The existence of follow-up activities in the form of similar training is always held periodically so as to improve the ability of teachers to carry out the teaching and learning process.

As Australia works towards meeting its international commitment of net zero emissions by 2050, the residential housing sector represents an important opportunity to target energy efficiency gains and apply renewable energy technologies. A transition to net zero energy housing is expected to provide multiple benefits to residents and the Australian economy. This chapter presents research that is contributing to this important transition. The case studies described are projects that have been built across Australia and extensively documented as urban living laboratories, exploring different technologies, design concepts, building typologies, and user experiences. Examples are drawn from greenfield and in-fill (greyfield) developments and range from single lot to precinct scale approaches, providing material evidence of the role the residential sector can play in helping Australia meet its international obligations and transition to a low carbon future.

Many options are available for use in molecular studies, from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded cell block preparations to smears, cytospins, liquid-based preparations, and even fresh cells. The rational use of this array of different preparations allows not only to establish a proper and definite diagnosis but also to maximize the availability of adequate amounts of high-quality material for nucleic acid extraction. In addition, a variety of cytology preparations provide less degraded material, faster fixation, as well as the option of immediate assessment, what ensures cellular adequacy and appropriate triaging of the sample, as opposed to histology samples. The current chapter envisions, therefore, to outline the main advantages and limitations of cytology specimens for molecular tests when compared to surgical biopsies, discuss the appropriate handling of these samples, describe the main differences among the multiple cytologic preparations, and discuss ways to minimize the limitations in order to achieve an optimal analysis.

This paper aims to identify the main obstacles to the application of electronic administration, ways and mechanisms to overcome the obstacles from the point of view of administrative and academic staff. The researcher used the descriptive (procedural) approach and the questionnaire was used as a tool for collecting information. The study community is composed of administrative and academic staff working at the University of Aden. The paper reached many results, the most important of which are the following. There is an agreement among the sample of the study on the obstacles to the application of electronic administration in the Yemeni universities (Aden University as a model). The most prominent of these constraints are inadequate funding and lack of financial incentives for workers in the field of electronic management, adherence to the centralization of the university administration and administrative burdens of some administrative leader. The members of the sample of the study agreed on some certain ways and mechanisms to overcome obstacles to the application of electronic administration at the University of Aden, and the most prominent of these mechanisms: Providing means of funding to activate electronic management, Training the administrative staff to deal with the applications of electronic management efficiently. Providing material incentives for employees in the field of electronic management and recruitment of specialists in the operation and maintenance of electronic management techniques, and in light of the results reached, the researcher recommends some procedures to overcome these obstacles. The results showed that the lack of financial incentives for employees in the field of electronic administration hindered the application of management away from centralization in the university administration and to delegate a part of the powers (responsibilities) to the employees.

This study was a qualitative descriptive examines integrative education model development to address the social disorder in children in Kampung Sri Rahayu Purwokerto. Despite drug formulation improving circulation times and targeting, efficacy is stymied by inadequate penetration into and retention within target tissues. This review highlights the barriers restricting delivery to the connective tissue interstitium, lymphatics, and lymph nodes as well as advances in engineering drug carriers to overcome these delivery challenges. Three-dimensional tissue physiology is discussed in the context of providing material design principles for delivery to these tissues; in particular the influence of interstitial and lymphatic flows as well as differential permeabilities of the blood and lymphatic capillaries. Key examples of materials with different characteristics developed to overcome these transport barriers are discussed as well as potential areas for further development.

The purpose of this paper is to attempt to discover ways by which a Culture Archetype Portal may be activated. Cultural archetypes are a service which has incurred huge costs over the past ten years with the aim of providing material for the cultural contents industry. As the result of a survey carried out for consumers as to the usefulness of cultural archetype contents, it turns out that there will be a huge demand in the future for such contents. But in actuality, culture archetype contents are not currently being actively used by creators. There are many reasons for this, but above all it's due to the fact that they can't easily find the information they're looking for via these contents. Because of this, in order to activate the service, firstly we need to add necessary metadata for each required field. Secondly, we must reorganize the navigational structure so that contents can be easily understood. And thirdly, we must guarantee the quality of the contents through close relationships with relevant specialist organizations.

Introduction/Background Cochrane Rehabilitation Field (CR) is a worldwide network aiming to act as a bridge between Cochrane and Rehabilitation community and stakeholders. CR specific goals are to undertake Knowledge Translation and to progress the methods for evidence synthesis in order to make them appropriate with the needs of people with disabilities and daily clinical rehabilitation practice. The aim of this paper is to describe the Organization and Functioning of the Field. Material and method Currently, 294 people from 52 different countries are part of CR. The organization includes: Director (responsible for the Knowledge Translation strategy); Coordinator (responsible of the Networking Strategy); Executive Committee; Advisory Board. Results The Communication Committee created the website (http://www.rehabilitation.cohrane.org) and is in charge of constantly updating it. It set up a YouTube channel, a Facebook page and a Twitter account. It is also responsible for the preparation of the Newsletter and of the production and dissemination of blogshots, a concise synthesis of the main message of Cochrane Evidence in Rehabilitation. The Publication Committee has been working on the creation of Cochrane Corners in rehabilitation National and International scientific journals. The Education Committee is responsible for the preparation of Cochrane sessions and workshops at Rehabilitation Meetings, 4 Workshops and 10 sessions at National and International Meetings have been realized so far. The Reviews Committee has been selecting all Cochrane Reviews relevant for rehabilitation, it has been developed and tested a systematic search strategy which is providing material for the other Committees. The Methodology Committee has been working for the improvement of the methods to synthesize evidence. Conclusion Cochrane Rehabilitation is growing fast and more and more people are joining the different committees with the aim to obtain the same results of disseminating evidences.

Kegiatan ini dilakukan di SKM Negeri 1 batu layar Metode kegiatan adalah cermah, diskusi dan praltik dengan tahapan pemberian materi, praktik, pendampingan dan evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah pengetahuan dan pemahaman siswa meningkat tentang menjadi pemandu pariwisata, keterampilan-keterampilan dalam memandu meningkat dilihat dari kemampuan mereka dalam menerapkan strategi-strategi pemandu wisata yang profesional. The purpose of this PKM is to train students majoring in tourism at SMK Negeri 1 Batulayar West Lombok to become a tour guide. This activity was carried out in SKM Negeri 1 Batu Layar. The method of activity was a reflection, discussion and practice with the stages of providing material, practice, assistance and evaluation. The results of this activity are increased students' knowledge and understanding about becoming a tourism guide, and the skills in guiding are increasing in terms of their abilities to implement professional tour guide strategies. Although there are improvements as prospective guides students still lack communication in using English, so in the future there needs to be more training and mentoring, so that when they graduate from school they are ready to become professional guides.

Endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) is widely used for diagnosis of pancreatic lesions. The Echotip Procore Needle (Wilson-Cook Medical) is a new 22G fine biopsy needle (FNB) for obtaining core biopsy material at time of EUS. This study aimed to compare the technical and diagnostic performance of conventional FNA and FNB. Thirty-two patients met the design criteria for this prospective paired cohort study. All lesions sampled were solid (non-cystic) pancreatic masses by EUS appearance. Patients were randomized to receive FNA or FNB by first attempt. A cytopathologist performed on-site evaluations. Samples were assessed for accuracy of diagnosis, cellularity, contamination, and sufficiency for ancillary studies. Technical and diagnostic performances were compared. This study explores how the participation of parents on school committees improves student achievement. In decentralized education systems like the one in Indonesia, parents’ participation has become a focal point for improving the quality of education. The data for this study were collected using questionnaires distributed to 250 students in state senior high schools, selected by quota-purposive sampling. The qualitative findings of this research are threefold: most parents participated in student learning only by providing material aspects, such as tuition and books; most parents had a misconception that it was the school that should solely be responsible for the education of their children; busy parents tended to ignore the progress of their children’s learning. In order to create social capital for their children, parents need to be active in the learning process, cooperate with school officials, and get involved in the planning of social activities.

Buddhist, Christian, Shinto, and other religious responses to devastation in the wake of the March 2011 earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear disasters in northeast Japan have included a great deal more than providing material aid and seeing to the ritual needs of the dead and the bereaved. This article considers ways in which burgeoning collaborations of religious professionals, clinical care workers, and academics are crafting a public persona of religion as “spiritual care,” a new formulation designed to meet the needs of a Japanese public that welcomes therapeutic interventions for disaster victims yet remains leery of religion. While the move from the religious to the spiritual presents novel opportunities to rehabilitate Japanese religion's public image, it appears as if some post-disaster religious initiatives challenge definitions of what “religion” may include. These initiatives also pose open questions about how Japanese religious institutions and practices may change as they adapt to the priorities of a public in need of help but ill-disposed toward religion.

Public interest and policy debates surrounding the role of the Internet in terrorist activities is increasing. Criminology has said very little on the matter. By using a unique data set of 223 convicted United Kingdom–based terrorists, this article focuses on how they used the Internet in the commission of their crimes. As most samples of terrorist offenders vary in terms of capabilities (lone-actor vs. group offenders) and criminal sophistication (improvised explosive devices vs. stabbings), we tested whether the affordances they sought from the Internet significantly differed. The results suggest that extreme-right-wing individuals, those who planned an attack (as opposed to merely providing material support), conducted a lethal attack, committed an improvised explosive device (IED) attack, committed an armed assault, acted within a cell, attempted to recruit others, and engaged in non-virtual network activities and non-virtual place interactions were significantly more likely to learn online compared with those who did not engage in these behaviors. Those undertaking unarmed assaults were significantly less likely to display online learning. The results also suggested that extreme-right-wing individuals who perpetrated an IED attack, associated with a wider network, attempted to recruit others, and engaged in non-virtual network activities and non-virtual place interactions were significantly more likely to communicate online with co-ideologues. Policy Implications Collectively the results provide insight into violent radicalization as a whole and not just into violent online radicalization. The results also largely confirm the results found in von Behr, Reding, Edwards, and Gribbon (2013) and in Gill and Corner (2015). The current study and the two previous studies have tackled these questions by using numerous methodological approaches and data sources and have arrived at similar conclusions. The Internet is largely a facilitative tool that affords greater opportunities for violent radicalization and attack planning. Nevertheless, radicalization and attack planning are not dependent on the Internet, and policy needs to look at behavior, intentions, and capabilities and not just at beliefs. From a risk assessment perspective, the study also highlights the fact that there is no easy offline versus online violent radicalization dichotomy to be drawn. It may be a false dichotomy. Plotters regularly engage in activities in both domains. Often their behaviors are compartmentalized across these two domains. Threat management policies would do well to understand the individuals’ breadth of interactions rather than relying on a dichotomous understanding of offline versus online, which represent two extremes of a spectrum that regularly provide prototypical examples in reality. A preoccupation with only checking online behaviors may lead an intelligence analyst to miss crucial face-to-face components of a plot's technical development or a perpetrator's motivation. Policy and practice may benefit from adopting insights from emerging research arguing in favor of disaggregating our conception of the “terrorist” into discrete groups (e.g., foreign fighters vs. homegrown fighters, bomb-makers vs. bomb-planters, and group-actors vs. lone-actors; Gill and Corner, 2013; LaFree, 2013) rather than disaggregating the radicalization process into discrete groups (e.g., online radicalization and prison radicalization). We need to understand the drives, needs, and forms of behavior that led to the radicalization and attack planning and why the offender chose that environment rather than purely looking at the affordances the environment produced. By looking at the Internet as an affordance opportunity that some forms of terrorist or terrorist violence require more than others do, the focus is shifted from the radicalization process toward an understanding of how crimes are committed. In other words, we are looking at crime events rather than at the underlying dispositions behind the criminality.

As experienced teachers, teacher educators and researchers in the field of migrant education we offer approaches to the field of migrant education research at several levels: research possibilities that might be appropriate to teacher educators, to student teachers (and practising teachers) and to researchers who are providing material for teacher educators and student teachers. We emphasise the importance of recognising and respecting the difference in world views that are found among the diverse groups of people in our society, and suggest practical ways of circumventing the impulse to homogenise and by homogenising to erase the distinctiveness of the migrant student’s world.

This chapter looks closely at the communication surrounding the exchanges of care within both local and transnational families, including how members re-organized and interacted around health issues and medical problems. The focus is mainly on the care talk that both left-behind and local families engaged in when struggling to cope with health and medical problems and how their identities and relationships formed around these conversations. The families communicated about a type of care that was characterized by protecting the person experiencing a crisis, providing material goods, and then, checking on the effects of the support given. The tensions that the participants experienced in making emotional and ethical decisions are highlighted.

O objetivo deste estudo foi realizar uma análise reflexiva da literatura científica nacional sobre a atuação da Terapia Ocupacional na educação inclusiva por meio da Consultoria Colaborativa, identificando as dificuldades encontradas na prática, bem como as estratégias utilizadas e os benefícios resultantes. Foi realizado um levantamento de artigos publicados em quatro periódicos online na área de Terapia Ocupacional e Educação Especial, com os seguintes descritores: “Terapia Ocupacional”, “Consultoria Colaborativa”, “Consultoria Escolar” e “Inclusão Escolar”; quatro artigos foram selecionados e analisados. Como resultado temos: a deficiência na capacitação de recursos humanos e na provisão de recursos materiais como a principal barreira da educação inclusiva; as estratégias utilizadas variam, mas encontros presenciais entre terapeuta ocupacional e equipe escolar são relatados em todos os artigos; a possibilidade de resolução de problemas e o oferecimento de suporte técnico estão entre os benefícios citados. Como conclusão, os estudos apresentam a consultoria colaborativa como um modelo de prestação de serviço promissor, entretanto há a necessidade de desenvolver mais pesquisas sobre o assunto. This study aimed to perform a reflective analysis of the national scientific literature on the role of Occupational Therapy in the inclusive education by Collaborative Consultation, identifying the difficulties found in the practice, as well as the strategies used and the resulting benefits. We conducted a survey of articles published in four online journals in the field of Occupational Therapy and Special Education, with the following keywords: “Occupational therapy”, “Collaborative Consultation”, “Educational Consultation” and “Educational Inclusion”; four articles were selected and analyzed. As a result we have: deficiency in gathering human resources and providing material resources as the main barrier of inclusive education; the strategies used vary, but meetings between occupational therapist and school staff are reported in all articles; the possibility of solving problems and offering technical support are among the benefits cited. As a conclusion, the studies present the collaborative consultation as a promising service provision model, but there is a need to develop more researches on this topic.

Providing material incentives for weight loss is a class of intervention strategies that has received considerable attention; however, the effectiveness of this class of strategies is uncertain. Attending to distinctions among incentive strategies may clarify our understanding of prior work and inform the design of future interventions.A theoretical framework is proposed that distinguishes between four classes of incentive strategies and is used to organize randomized controlled trials of material incentives for weight loss.A systematic literature review was conducted.Findings were mixed with regards to the overall efficacy of material incentives for weight loss. Three of the four proposed incentive categories are represented in the literature. Heterogeneous methods were used across studies rendering comparisons between studies difficult.Definitive conclusions about the usefulness of material incentives for weight loss could not be drawn. A theoretically grounded approach to designing and testing incentive strategies is encouraged.

Clientelism is a problem-solving network where brokers solve voter problems by providing material and non-material resources in exchange of political support. The literature emphasis on political networks ignores the existence of non-political networks, such as money lending, childcare, and counseling, that also contribute to solve voter problems. This paper uses original data collected by the author in Villa Angel, a densely populated working-class neighborhood located on the outskirts of Buenos Aires City, to show that a broker's central position in non-political networks explains his or her ability to influence vote choice. Consequently, to understand the effects that problem-solving networks have on political behavior, researchers and policy makers have to pay attention to the overlap and relationships between political and non-political networks.

The present paper focuses on geometric and micromechanical modelling of 3D orthogonal fabrics for composite applications and employs meso-finite element (FE) modelling for it. FE modelling of textile composites is a powerful tool for the homogenisation of mechanical properties, study of stress–strain fields inside the unit cell, determination of damage initiation conditions and sites and simulation of damage development and associated deterioration of the homogenised mechanical properties of the composite. Meso-FE can be considered as a part of the micro-meso–macro-multi-level modelling process, with micromodels (fibres in the matrix) providing material properties for homogenised impregnated yarns and fibrous plies, and macromodel (structural analysis) using results of meso-homogenisation.

This article presents a case study from Madang, Papua New Guinea, to illustrate how the priorities of an international environmental nongovernmental organization (NGO) aligned with donor expectations and diverged from the expressed conservation preferences of local residents for management and enforcement. Analysis of data from semistructured interviews with local residents in three villages identified three local community expectations of a Madang NGO: serving as an alternative to the state; providing material resources; and sustaining long-term relationships. Using a political ecology lens, this study illustrates a mismatch between what the NGO does and the expectations and preferences of local residents. Examining this divergence is critical in understanding how NGOs prioritize certain activities over others and what such choices mean for biodiversity conservation. Most of the livelihoods of Sukodono Village’s people, Pujer District, Bondowoso Regency are farming; various kinds of agricultural products produced by the residents of Sukodono Village are white AC sweet potato. But, the yield of many white AC sweet potatoes which is not sold well causes decays and makes farmers give up. When I was a field supervisor of KKN Unmuh Jember, the KKN students and I promoted the Nafiah Posdaya which had once been formed. With the hope to overcome the problem of the white AC sweet potato farmers, namely by processing white AC sweet potato into chips and cupcakes manually. Because of the limited manual equipment, the white AC sweet potato used for the basic ingredients of chips and cupcakes is still in small quantities. Also, chips which are produced manually are not crunchy; contain lots of oil, long time production process and small amount of production. To overcome this, product innovation needs to be done by making white ac sweet potato chips with vacuum frying and spinner technology as well as making white ac sweet potato cupcakes with an electric mixer to mix dough and oven it. The problem is those partners do not have the knowledge, skills and capital to develop and be innovation product white ac sweet potato. There are four main activities in the Community Partnership Program dedication activities that are carried out by providing material training and practicing (1) implementing vacuum frying and spinner machines to make white AC sweet potato chips (2) packing with beautiful package (3) making cupcake with basic ingredients from white AC sweet potato (4) marketing model based on E-commerce Web-based Information Technology. The results of this training are crispy white AC sweet potato chips with a distinctive sweet potato taste because the slices are thicker than the other chips and delicious white ac sweet potato cupcake with attractive toping is a promising market opportunity. It is expected that the Community Partnership Program activities can improve the welfare of partners.

The research results were obtained that: (1) the objective conditions of mathematics learning of elementary students in Central Aceh Regency as follows. a) In the learning process the teacher has not linked mathematics with the local character and potential of the area. b) The mathematics handbook used today has not linked students' personal character. (2) During the learning process of mathematics based on local excellence and the potential character of antusius elementary school students to learn mathematics, the steps of the local superiority-based learning model are (a) the teacher conditions the class, starts with prayer by preparing facilities and infrastructure, doing Apperception of the local potential of central Aceh district b) Presenting contextual problems, Explicitly negotiating, Cooperative intervention, guiding students in groups to discuss contextual issues contained in the LAS. Give students the opportunity to present their model findings through class discussions. c) Guiding students to formulate the results of the discussion while making a summary of the material discussed, Providing material evaluations through giving quizzes or home assignments. The design of elementary school mathematics learning based on locally designed excellence received a good response from all students. 83.74% of students gave a positive response to the local excellence-based learning model. From these results it is expected that the mathematics learning model in the class must be tailored to the needs of students so that the objectives of the learning process can be achieved maximally.

Th e p u r p o s e of the Scottish Research Register is to highlight completed research undertaken by students from Scottish universities, which relate to the history of Scottish architecture. The Register includes undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations and theses. It is organised into three categories for quick reference: Architect, Region and Other. ‘Architect’ is alphabetised by the architects’ name, highlighted in bold; ‘Region’ is sub-divided geographically and alphabetised by author; ‘Other’ is alphabetised by author. Titles belonging to more than one category are included in each. Each entry contains the author, dissertation title, university/college, qualification and year. The information is recorded as presented by the universities. The universities in this seventh edition of the Register are: University of Strathclyde and University of St Andrews. We will endeavour to include those universities not included in this Register in future editions. This seventh edition of the Register lists those papers completed in 2007–2009. The Scottish Research Register features annually within Architectural Heritage and any suggestions for its enhancement are welcome. We look forward to a greater number of universities and colleges participating in the next edition. Thanks must be given to the librarians and members of teaching staff from all the Scottish universities and colleges who assisted in compiling the Register by providing material. Elements for reflection on the city and urban planning - The consultation entitled ‘Le Grand Pari(s) de l’Agglomeration Parisienne’ launched by the French Ministry of Culture at the start of 2007 is providing material for a significant public debate within that rich workshop for thought on the contemporary city which Paris and the Ile de France have constituted for at least a decade. Many initiatives have in fact helped since 2000 to invigorate discussion on the urban region of Paris, with questions asked on urban transformations in progress on how to understand, describe, plan and govern the social, environmental, economical and political changes they bring. The article proposes some observations on the meaning of consultation, on its procedures and on its emerging issues with a focus in particular on objectives and outcomes, trying to direct thought to the contribution (to ways and contents) which urban planners (but also architects) can make to urban design seen as an exercise in thinking about the future of contemporary cities.

Nature, the most prolific source of biological and chemical diversity, has provided mankind with treatments for health problems since ancient times and continues to be the most promising reservoir of bioactive chemicals for the development of modern drugs. In addition to the terrestrial organisms that still remain a promising source of new bioactive metabolites, the marine environment, covering approximately 70% of the Earth’s surface and containing a largely unexplored biodiversity, offers an enormous resource for the discovery of novel compounds. According to the MarinLit database, more than 27,000 metabolites from marine macro- and microorganisms have been isolated to date providing material and key structures for the development of new products in the pharmaceutical, food, cosmeceutical, chemical, and agrochemical sectors. Algae, which thrive in the euphotic zone, were among the first marine organisms that were investigated as sources of food, nutritional supplements, soil fertilizers, and bioactive metabolites.

This paper examines the potential of using routinely generated data from inspection processes as quality indicators. It indicates that generation of such information is possible, providing material that may be used in research and also for more general guidance.

In December 2003, six American-Yemenis were sentenced for terms of seven to ten years for their role in providing material support to Al Qaeda, in violation of Title 18 United States Code §2339B. This article specifically examines the merits of the charge brought against the Six by reviewing precedent that has developed regarding §2339B from 2000 to 2004. This exercise uncovers a controversy over constitutionality, basic rights and due process that, in combination with the facts of the case, could have yielded each of the Six a better deal were the case to go to trial than he received by pleading guilty. Those pleas, made under real pressure from the prosecution, prevented the court from determining whether the Six “had ‘provided’ support to Al Qaeda, or merely ‘received’ it.”

The identification of material phases at the so called bitumen-scale in context of multiscale modeling of asphalt is presented. For this purpose, atomic force microscopy (AFM), providing insight into the surface topography and mechanical properties, is applied to different types of bitumen. Based on the obtained AFM results, four different material phases at the bitumen-scale are identified. These phases are related to the chemical composition of bitumen, characterized by a wide range of molecular mass. Within the anticipated multi-scale model, the properties of these phases serve as input for upscaling, providing material parameter of the bitumen phase at the next-higher scale, i.e., the mastic-scale.

This article will discuss the internet as a relatively new medium for research, and in particular how it can be used for survey research. The internet can be used as an effective tool for collecting information as well as providing material for research. This article will explore its advantages, such as reduction of costs, although one must consider the expense of developing and maintaining a website. Large populations can be reached, and response times are thought to be faster than postal surveys. Its disadvantages will also be discussed, such as sample bias, and how that affects research results. Other issues that will be explored include software compatibility, questionnaire layout and graphics. Practical information will be given on how to design a survey, using the principles for web-based questionnaire design developed by internet scholars. Finally, the article will address some of the ethical questions that researchers are faced with, such as how to gain consent and protect the participants' anonymity.

Conversely, a nation whose education is advanced, will excel from any nation. Indonesia is a country whose quality of education is very low. Economic crisis that plagued this country, increasingly difficult for the people of Indonesia to advance and improve the quality of education. The condition of poverty that menggurita which resulted in the worsening of education of the ummah, must be overcome immediately. This article discusses about the implementation of cash waqf (endowment) in Indonesia and its role in strengthening education. Cash waqf plays a significant role in some Islamic education institutionin providing material support. One example is Pondok Pesantren Gontor in East Java.

English Abstract: Распределение исследовано в процессе межотраслевых экономических связей – на мезоуровне экономики, с построением соответствующей модели (рисунок 1). Прослежены и определены особенности процесса распределения средств производства на мезоуровне экономики в советский период и в настоящее время. Обращено внимание как на непосредственные, так и отдаленные последствия ситуации с распределением средств производства в настоящее время посредством их купли-продажи в условиях двух уровней цен на них: а) заниженного уровня при продаже фирмам-посредникам, принадлежащим фактически руководству предприятия;б) значительно более высокого уровня цен для конечного потребления.В итоге у многих предприятий возникает острый дефицит денежных средств для приобретения жизненно необходимым им средств производства.Помимо осуществления распределения посредством межотраслевых экономических связей, оно исследовано в работе также в рамках мезоструктур – крупных многоотраслевых корпораций (КМК) и территориальных производственно-хозяйственных комплексов (ТПХК). Выделены и определены существенные особенности распределения в рамках КМК и ТПХК. При этом автор исходил из того положения, что территориальный производственно-хозяйственный комплекс (ТПХК), в своей экономической сущности, представляет из себя модификацию крупной многоотраслевой корпорации, привязанной к определенной территории. Главная особенность распределения в ТПХК, в отличие от распределения в рамках КМК, состоит в том, что территориальный производственно-хозяйственный комплекс, в силу необходимости сохранения единого экономического пространства на территории всей страны, не может позволить себе многих видов, форм и методов распределения, которые вполне допустимы с правовой и этической точки зрения в рамках КМК. В частности, в рамках ТПХК недопустимо распределение объектов его собственности между жителями региона, не может иметь места его акционирование. Если же часть предприятий и организаций региона акционируется, при этом приватизируется, объединяясь в единое целое, то возникает территориальная многоотраслевая корпорация, которую нельзя отождествлять с ТПХК.English Abstract: The distribution is studied in the process of inter-sectoral economic relations -- on the meso-level of the economy, with the construction of the corresponding model (figure 1). Traced and identified features of process of distribution of means of production at the meso-level of economy in the Soviet period and today. Attention was drawn on the immediate and long-term consequences of the situation with distribution of the means of production currently, through their sale in the conditions of the two price levels:a) low level when selling to intermediary firms that belong in fact to the management of the enterprise;b) a significantly higher price level for final consumption.In the end, many enterprises there is an acute shortage of funds for the purchase of essential inputs.In addition to the distribution through intersectoral economic ties, it is researched in the work in the framework of mesostructure is a large diversified corporations (KMK) and the territorial production complexes (TPC). Isolated and identified the essential features of the distribution within the KMK and TPC. The author proceeded from the fact that the territorial production complex (TPC), in its economic essence, is a modification of large diversified corporations, are tied to a particular territory. The main feature of the distribution in TPC, unlike distribution within KMK, is that the territorial production complex, due to the need to preserve the common economic space on the territory of the entire country, cannot afford many species, forms and methods of allocation, which is quite acceptable from a legal and ethical perspective in the framework of the KMK. In particular, in the framework TPK unacceptable distribution of objects of his property between the residents of the region may not have a place of its incorporation. If the part of enterprises and organizations of the region being auctioned, while privatized, uniting in a single whole, there is territorial diversified Corporation which cannot be identified with TPK.

As a non-governmental entity, the World Jewish Congress is active in the global politics of the Jewish people, maintaining a broad network of relations with bodies and governments in all parts of the world. This network assists the Congress in its activities of providing material, political and cultural aid to Jewish communities throughout the world. The present article focuses on this entity in an attempt to answer the question: What is the degree of influence of non-national organisations in the global political arena, in an era in which the governmental unit, namely the sovereign state, is the chief actor? This examination of the World Jewish Congress' ability to act in the global Jewish political arena concentrates on three issues which represent three areas of activity on the organisation's agenda: reparations, endangered Jewry and the Waldheim affair.

A description and model of the thermally induced residual stress that forms in a ''platelike'' injected molded polymer part is outlined. A linear heat balance integral (LHBI) temperature profile approximation and the concept of a virtual adjunct mold (VAM) is used to arrive at an approximate algebraic model that, upon providing material properties and processing conditions, gives an immediate evaluation of the residual stress through the plate thickness. Results obtained with this model are in very close agreement with a full numerical solution and agree closely with experimental measurements made on a range of starch-based biodegradable polymer samples.
