Background The phenomenon of street children is a bio-psychological and social issue that not only harms children, but also endangers the health of a society. In line with the national programs for the development and promotion of street children's health in Iran, health policy making and essential strategies for this group of children will be presented in this paper. This paper will discuss the main issues and challenges of street children's health and, also, health policy and guidelines for this population. Methods In this review study, the keywords; street children, health, challenges, policy, and health policy making were searched through PubMed, SID, Iranmedex, World Health Organization (WHO), Emro, the Cochran Library, Medline and Google scholar to collect data. The search resulted in 84 related resources from which 48 cases that were more relevant to this research and covered the issue more comprehensively, were used. All data published during 2002-2015 have been included in this paper. Results Key concepts including street children and their health, health policy, strategies to improve the health of street children, health policy approaches for street children, the WHO's strategies, and social support program for street children must be considered in the health policy making processes for street children, as precise identification of the relevant information makes planning more effective in health policy making for this group of children. Conclusion The phenomenon of street children is a growing problem in the world and it has turned into a serious concern in many countries including Iran. The findings of this study can be used for identifying necessary measures in order to use research outcomes more effectively in policy making processes and reforming street children's health policies in Iran. Introduction: Menopause is a critical stage in every woman's life. It can cause a distressing time for women by creating various vasomotor symptoms (VMS). Phytoestrogens can potentially exert various favourable effects and alleviate VMS in postmenopausal women. The hop (Humulus lupulus L.) contains 8-prenylnaringenin (8-PN), the most potent phytoestrogen known to date. The hop is eight times stronger than any other herbal oestrogens. This study aims to conduct a comprehensive systematic review and a meta-analysis survey of the effects of hop in the management of VMS in postmenopausal women. Methods: Only randomised controlled clinical trials, with cluster randomisation and crossover, blinded and non-blinded designs, conducted between 2000 and 2015, will be included in this review. Quasi-experimental and observational studies as well as case reports will be excluded. The studies will be selected if their participants were aged 40-60 years, had elevated follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) levels and/or menstrual irregularities, and experienced discomforting VMS (at least hot flashes or night sweats). The primary outcome will be the rate of response to treatment, such as changes in frequency and intensity of symptoms in the intervention and placebo groups. 'Hop', 'Humulus', 'menopause', 'vasomotor', 'hot flashes', 'phytoestrogen' and 'night sweats' will be used as search key words. Prior to their inclusion in the review, the selected papers will be assessed by two independent reviewers for methodological validity. Any disagreements will be resolved through a third reviewer. The risk of bias will be independently determined using the Cochrane Risk of Bias Tool. The quality of the papers will be assessed based on the CONSORT checklist. Ethics and dissemination Results will be disseminated through traditional academic literature. Dissemination of results will occur by peer-reviewed publications. The results of our project can help reproductive health researchers when evaluating the discomforts of research procedures described in study protocols or when designing a study. Information on experiences of menopausal women involved in previous studies may also help in future research. The expected dissemination actions are effective treatment in designing strategies that aim to develop women's health and healthcare providers when offering treatment for women with vasomotor symptoms. Background: Prescribing is one of the main steps in using drugs. Mistakes in prescription can reduce the effectiveness of treatment or increase harm to the patient. Objective: The aim of producing a prescription application in obstetrics and gynecology was to increase the skills of midwifery students in prescribing as well as convenient of using the drugs for users. Material and Methods: This study was performed on 23 midwifery students in the 6th semester. Production and implementation of application was performed in 4 states that includes: 1: product design (Needs assessment and obtain the production license) 2: preparation and product (Conceptual model design, physical model design, implementation and assessment) 3: Product implementation 4: Product evaluation. Using the pre-test and post -test, satisfaction and medication error checklist, data collected. By SPSS software version 21 and t-test data were analyzed. Results: The mean score of pre-tests in gynecological diseases before the intervention was 15.48 and the mean post-tests score after the intervention was 18.96. The mean score of pre-tests in pregnancy diseases before the intervention was 14.29 and the mean post-test score after the intervention was 18.10. All of professors were very satisfied from the application. 91% of the students gave a very high satisfaction score and 9% of them gave a high satisfaction score for the educational package. Conclusion: This application can improve the quality of life of women as a new method in clinical education and prevent of medical errors in gynecological and obstetric fields as much as possible. Menopause is a critical stage of women's life associated with various complaints and distresses. Vasomotor symptoms (VMS), such as hot flushes, night sweats, sleep disturbances, and fatigue, are the most common menopause symptoms affecting about 50% to 80% of middle-aged women. Obviously, these symptoms, resulting from estrogen deficiency during menopause, can exert negative effects on women's health and quality of life and thus require to be managed through approaches such as hormone replacement therapy (HRT). Many herbal treatments for menopause symptoms contain and its components such as 8-prenylnaringenin, 6-PN, isoxanthohumol and xanthohumol. Recent in-vivo studies have highlighted the ability of 8-prenylnaringenin to reduce serum-luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), to increase serum prolactin levels and uterine weight, and to induce vaginal hyperplastic epithelium. Previous research has shown that hops extract can strongly bind to both estrogen receptors, stimulate alkaline phosphatase activity in Ishikawa cells, and upregulate presenelin-2 and progesterone receptor mRNA in Ishikawa cells. Numerous clinical trials have documented significant reductions in the frequency of hot flushes following the administration of hop-containing preparations. Recently, this infectious disease has spread widely in many parts of the world. Fever, fatigue, headache, and rash are common symptoms of monkeypox. The presence of lymphadenopathy is another prominent and key symptom of monkeypox, which distinguishes this disease from other diseases and is useful for diagnosing the disease. This disease is transmitted to humans through contact with or eating infected animals as well as objects infected with the virus. One of the ways to diagnose this disease is through PCR testing of lesions and secretions. To prevent the disease, vaccines such as JYNNEOS and ACAM2000 are available, but they are not accessible to all people in the world, and their effectiveness and safety need further investigation. However, preventive measures such as avoiding contact with people infected with the virus and using appropriate personal protective equipment are mandatory. The disease therapy is based on medicines such as brincidofovir, cidofovir, and Vaccinia Immune Globulin Intravenous. The injectable format of tecovirimat was approved recently, in May 2022. Considering the importance of clinical care in this disease, awareness about the side effects of medicines, nutrition, care for conjunctivitis, skin rash, washing and bathing at home, and so on can be useful in controlling and managing the disease. Introduction: Understanding the outcomes of anemia in pregnancy is critical. Since no study has been conducted regarding the maternal and neonatal outcomes of iron-deficiency anemia in Hormozgan province of Iran, this study aims to assess the maternal and neonatal outcomes of iron-deficiency anemia in women who gave birth in Hormozgan province from January 2020 to January 2022., Methods:  We retrospectively assessed all singleton pregnant women who gave birth at a tertiary hospital in Bandar Abbas, Hormozgan province, Iran, for two years. We divided all women into iron-deficiency anemic and non-iron-deficiency anemic women. Iron-deficiency anemia was defined as hemoglobin less than 10.5 mg/dl at the time of admission without any other hemoglobinopathy, such as sickle cell anemia or thalassemia. Using electronic patient records, data were extracted from the Iranian Maternal and Neonatal Network (IMaN Net), a valid national system. Since the information of birth under 24 weeks of gestation is not recorded in this system, we excluded all deliveries under 24 weeks of gestation. The outcome measures of the study were demographic factors (age, education, residency place, access to prenatal care, smoking), obstetrical factors (parity, labor induction, fetal presentation, mode of delivery), and maternal and neonatal outcomes (the incidence of preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, placenta abruption, postpartum hemorrhage, maternal need for blood transfusion, maternal need for intensive care unit, preterm birth, low birth weight, intrauterine growth retardation, birth asphyxia, stillbirth, and neonatal intensive care admission). Chi-square tests were used to compare differences between iron-deficiency anemic and non-iron-deficiency anemic women. Logistic regression models were used to assess the effect of iron-deficiency anemia on maternal and neonatal outcomes. The result was presented as odds ratio (OR) or adjusted odds ratio (aOR) after adjusting for covariates and a 95% confidence interval (CI).  Results: The incidence of iron-deficiency anemia was 2.97%. Education and residency were among the demographic factors that differed significantly between groups. Iron-deficiency anemia was more frequent in those with higher education and women who lived in rural areas. In terms of obstetrical factors, method of delivery was the only significantly different factor between groups. Iron-deficiency anemic mothers had substantially more instrumental deliveries than non-iron-deficiency anemic mothers (4.3% vs. 0.8%), while the incidence of cesarean section was lower. Based on logistic regression in terms of maternal and neonatal outcomes, iron-deficiency anemic women had a substantially higher risk of the need for maternal blood transfusion (aOR: 6.54, 95%CI: 4.72-8.15), postpartum hemorrhage (aOR: 1.54, 95%CI: 0.71-2.11), preterm birth (aOR: 0.98, 95%CI: 0.45-1.13), low birth weight (aOR: 1.04, 95%CI: 0.78-2.01), intrauterine growth retardation (aOR: 1.30, 95%CI: 0.99-2.10), and neonatal intensive care admission (aOR: 1.06, 95%CI: p.52-2.72), after adjusting for educational level, residency place, and method of delivery., Conclusions: Despite the higher incidence of postpartum hemorrhage and maternal blood transfusion, we found no increase in maternal intensive care unit admission risk.
