En esta investigación se estima el cambio en el bienestar social por un cambio de paisaje de los espacios naturales del piedemonte mendocino. Para ello, se utiliza el método de valoración contingente para inferir el valor social de un cambio de paisaje por la acción antrópica sobre tres cuencas hidrográficas ubicadas al oeste del Gran Mendoza. Los resultados del estudio muestran que un cambio de paisaje, simulado mediante una disminución de la cobertura vegetal, disminuye el bienestar de los ciudadanos del Gran Mendoza. En particular, el cambio de paisaje equivale en pérdida de bienestar individual, en promedio, a un gasto anual de 78 pesos en moneda de 2013, a partir de ahora y durante 10 años. Por consiguiente, la continuidad de un proceso de planificación territorial que no impida el deterioro del paisaje de los espacios naturales del piedemonte implica una pérdida de bienestar social. En este sentido, la valoración económica genera un nuevo espacio de participación ciudadana, al integrar las preferencias sociales al diseño de la gestión, y construir sobre esa base, en diálogo con el juicio experto, una gestión territorial eficiente y sustentable desde un punto de vista social. In this study is estimated the change in social welfare for a landscape change of the Mendocinian piedmont natural areas. It is used the contingent valuation method to elicit the social value for a landscape change of anthropogenic-pressures on three basins placed at the west of Gran Mendoza. The results show that a landscape change, simulated through plant cover reduction, reduces the social welfare of Gran Mendoza's citizens. In particular, this landscape change represents for each citizen a welfare lost equivalent, on average, to an annual expense of pesos 78 (in 2013 currency) in the coming 10 years. Consequently, a territorial programme omitting the landscape decline of the natural areas of the Mendocinian piedmont worsens social welfare. So, the economic valuation creates room for citizens' participation by integrating social preferences into programmes design, and allows with a team of experts to build an efficient and sustainable territorial planning, from a social perspective. The huge adoption of 802.11 technologies has trig- gered a vast amount of experimentally-driven research works. These works range from performance analysis to protocol en- hancements, including the proposal of novel applications and ser- vices. Due to the affordability of the technology, this experimental research is typically based on commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) devices, and given the rate at which 802.11 releases new standards (which are adopted into new, affordable devices), the field is likely to continue to produce results. In this paper, we review and categorise the most prevalent works carried out with 802.11 COTS devices over the past fifteen years, to present a timely snapshot of the areas that have attracted to most attention so far, though a taxonomy that distinguishes between performance studies, enhancements, services and methodology. In this way, we provide a quick overview of the results achieved by the research community that enables prospective authors to identify potential areas of new research, some of which are discussed after the presentation of the survey.

El documento consiste en descontaminar el suelo afectado por la presencia de la sal Nitrato de Plomo II, empleando para ello un cultivo de papa "superchola-Solanum tuberosum sp. Andigena", empleando lechos para los tratamientos con concentraciones (Testigo "CC", 50 ppm, 75 ppm, 150 ppm) para ser procesadas según las normas, lo cual nos ayudará a preparar un extracto líquido de todas las muestras consideradas. This document consists of decontaminating the soil affected by the presence of the salt Nitrate of Lead II, using for it a culture of potato "superchola-solanum tuberosum sp. Andigena", using beds for the treatments with concentrations (Witness "CC", 50 ppm, 75 ppm, 150 ppm) to be processed according to the procedure, which will help us to prepare a liquid extract of all the samples considered.

In general, children and adultsí consumption behaviour is analysed within the household decision-making process. This paper, however, explores children and adultsí consumption behaviour contemplating children and adults as two separated and independent economic agents. By using a Öeld study that involves observation in the Spainís Barcelona zoo, we show that children have some form of preferences that di§ers from that of the adults, leading to di§erent consumption behaviour between adults and children. Beacon and event-driven warning messages are two important messages that are used by many Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) applications for improving road safety and traffic efficiency. Beacon messages are regularly broadcast by each vehicle to notify other vehicles of its presence and its status. Event-driven warning messages are emitted when a vehicle or the road infrastructure discerns a critical situation. When congestion occurs, it is necessary to reduce the beacon load to keep a certain amount of the available bandwidth for the event-driven messages because they carry time-critical information of high importance. This paper considers three beacon congestion control algorithms that control the beacon load below a certain threshold by adjusting the transmit rate and/or transmit power for the beacon messages. We perform a large set of simulations to evaluate these algorithms. En este trabajo examinamos el comportamiento del mercado de trabajo de Islandia y Noruega en las últimas décadas y en particular analizamos el proceso de formación salarial desde la óptica de la teoría de la reacción en cadena (TRC). Nuestras ecuaciones de salarios estimadas indican que en ambos países los salarios vienen determinados por los mismos factores: a) un componente que muestra la influencia que ejercen las decisiones del pasado en las decisiones presentes, b) la productividad del empleo, c) los subsidios de desempleo y d) la tasa de desempleo. Así, nuestros resultados refuerzan la hipótesis de la TRC sobre la importancia de utilizar conjuntamente variables estacionarias (instituciones del mercado de trabajo) y variables no estacionarias (variables con tendencia) para analizar el comportamiento del mercado de trabajo o de alguno de sus componentes, como en este caso el proceso de formación salarial. Supporting voice traffic in existing WLANs results extremely inefficient, given the large overheads of the protocol operation and the need to prioritize this traffic over, e.g., bulky transfers. In this thesis we propose a simple scheme to improve the efficiency of WLANs when voice traffic is present. The mechanism is based on piggybacking voice frames from one direction of the voice call over the acknowledgments for the frames on the other direction, which reduces both frame overheads and time spent in contentions. We evaluate its performance by means of analysis and in a large-scale testbed consisting on 30 commercial off-the-shelf devices. The experimental results follow those from the analytical model, obtaining dramatic performance improvements in both voice-only and mixed voice-and-data scenarios. La Real Sociedad Tudelana de los Deseosos del Bien Público fue la única Sociedad de Amigos del País fundada en Navarra en el siglo XVIII, lo que la convierte en uno de los máximos exponentes del fenómeno ilustrado en el viejo Reino. Su primer director, Felipe González de Castejón y Tovar, formaba parte de una saga de militares entre los que sobresalió su tío Pedro González de Castejón y Salazar, Secretario de Estado y del Despacho de Marina, cuyo mandato coincidió con la fundación de dicha Sociedad en 1778. Este trabajo pretende trazar el perfil de quien fue, junto con los marqueses de San Adrián, el miembro más relevante de aquella institución, para a través de sus orígenes sociales, formación, matrimonio, posición económica, etc. tratar de comprender su adhesión a la mentalidad ilustrada. The “Real Sociedad Tudelana de los Deseosos del Bien Público” was the only “Sociedad de Amigos del País” founded in Navarra in the XVIIIth century, what it makes one of the most important enlightened phenomenon in the old kingdom. Its first director, Felipe González de Castejón y Tovar, belongs to a military saga, in which stands out his uncle, Pedro González de Castejón y Salazar, minister of Navy, whose mandate coincides with the Society foundation in 1778. This essay aspires to define the profile of a man that, together with the marquises of San Adrian, was one of the most relevant members of the Society. Through a study of his social origins, education, marriage, economic status, etc. tries to understand his connection with the Enlightenment mentality.

This paper analyses the labour markets of Spain and Ireland, which have experienced a severe downturn in the recent global crisis as reflected by the largest increases in their unemployment rates among other developed economies. Spain and Ireland might seem at first to feature very different labour markets, which go from very tight to very flexible labour conditions. Our analysis, however, goes beyond this simplistic argument and brings to light the strong commonalities that seem to have been hidden underground. We estimate a dynamic multi-equation structural model for each country, and then offer two sets of dynamic simulations which account for the swings of the unemployment rates before and after the 2007 crisis. Our results suggest looking beyond the degree of flexibility of both labour markets, just to focus instead on other variables usually neglected by more conventional approaches. In particular, such variables as the growth of capital stock, the growth of labour productivity, and demographics, succeed in explaining a great part of the changes in unemployment in both countries.

This paper takes a fresh look at the analysis of labour market dynamics and argues that capital accumulation plays a fundamental role in shaping unemployment movements. This role has generally been examined by considering indirect transmission channels of the capital stock effects, i.e. using variables like interest rates or investment ratios in the estimation of single-equation unemployment rate models. Here we advocate a different approach. We directly estimate the effects of capital stock in the labour market by applying the chain reaction theory of unemployment, and we find that capital stock is a major determinant of unemployment in the Nordic countries. In particular, the different unemployment experiences of these economies derive from the temporary (albeit prolonged) negative shocks to capital stock growth in Denmark and Sweden, and the permanent downturn of capital stock growth in Finland. We are thus able to explain why the crisis of the early 1990s had a more acute impact in Finland than in its twin economy, Sweden.

[ES]En este trabajo se analizan las medidas de la radiación solar UV-B registradas en la estación C.I.B.A. (Centro de Investigación de la Baja Atmósfera), Valladolid, (Spain), durante el período 2003-2005. El sensor utilizado ha sido un radiómetro de banda ancha, YES UVB 1, se han registrado los datos cada 10 minutos y para el estudio se han tomado los valores de ozono de TOMS (Total ozone mapping spectrometer). Se han seleccionado los días más claros del período estudiado y la radiación UV-B se ha simulado utilizando el modelo TUV 4.1 (Tropospheric Ultraviolet Visible). La correspondencia entre los valores medidos y calculados se ha evaluado con estimadores estadísticos, obteniéndose desviaciones en torno al 11% para el error rmse. [EN]UV-B solar radiation data have been recorded at the C.I.B.A. station (Low Atmosphere Research Centre), Valladolid, (Spain), during the period 2003-2005. YES UV-B 1 broadband sensor has been used and data have been recorded every 10 minutes. Ozone daily values have been collected from TOMS (Total ozone mapping spectrometer). Clearest days have been selected and UV-B values have been simulated using the model TUV 4.1 (Tropospheric Ultraviolet and Visible). The accuracy of the results have calculated by statistical estimators and 11% values have been obtained for RMSE error. We reconsider the central role of the natural rate of unemployment (NRU) in forming policy decisions. We show that the unemployment rate does not gravitate towards the NRU due to frictional growth, a phenomenon that encapsulates the interplay between lagged adjustment processes and growth in dynamic labour market systems. We choose Denmark as the focal point of our empirical analysis and find that the NRU explains only 33% of the unemployment variation, while frictional growth accounts for the remaining 67%. Therefore, our theoretical and empirical findings raise serious doubts as to whether the NRU should play a key instrumental role in policy making.

En esta investigación se efectúan estimaciones de las Tasas Internas de Retorno (TIR) a niveles Primario y Secundario para la provincia de Mendoza, para el año 1996. Una de las formas de medir los beneficios económicos de la Educación es a través de la Tasa lnterna de Retorno, que es la que iguala el valor presente de los ingresos diferenciales que una persona espera obtener de un mayor nivel de educación a lo largo de toda su vida activa, con el de los costos en que debe incurrir para alcanzarlo. Se presenta el modelo teórico utilizado para la TIR, los perfiles de ingresos por nivel educativo y edades, fundamentales para la obtención de los beneficios educativos. Le continúan las referencias en cuanto a la utilización de la información requerida por el modelo y fuentes de datos usadas reales como la EPH, ENGHo, Estadísticas Vitales, los Precios del IPC Mendoza. Las conclusiones a las que se llega a partir de las tasas obtenidas son que ambas son positivas, que las privadas son mayores que las sociales, lo cual estaría indicando que invertir en educación es una buena alternativa, tanto desde el punto de vista privado como social Fil: Calderón, Mónica. Trabajo de Fin de Grado-Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca, Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud, 2020, La simulación clínica es una disciplina que está siendo incorporada cada vez más frecuentemente en los currículos de las Ciencias de la Salud. Aunque no es algo nuevo, la simulación ha sufrido un gran desarrollo desde finales del Siglo XX hasta nuestras fechas, convirtiéndola así en un requisito casi imprescindible para la adecuada enseñanza de la medicina y la enfermería. El desarrollo tecnológico y el abaratamiento de los medios de producción ha llevado a que contemos con un gran catálogo de simuladores, tanto de baja, media y alta fidelidad, que nos permiten realizar muchos tipos de intervenciones distintas, adaptándose siempre al objetivo de aprendizaje y al nivel de los participantes. Además, se ha creado toda una metodología especifica alrededor de la simulación, lo que le confiere aún más importancia y ayuda a su universalización y unificación. En España ya contamos con organismos dedicados específicamente a la promoción e institucionalización de la disciplina, como la Sociedad Española de Simulación Clínica y Seguridad del Paciente. Su eficacia como método de enseñanza ha sido más que demostrada. Sin embargo, debemos tener en cuenta los efectos que está simulación tiene sobre los participantes en la misma, que pueden influir en el rendimiento de estos. Emociones, como la ansiedad, inciden en los participantes de manera negativa, provocando que su actuación en la simulación se vea afectada, lo que conlleva un descenso del aprendizaje.
