51. Mise en valeur des bas-fonds au Mali

Abstract

Dans un contexte de pluviosité limitée, les bas-fonds (terres inondables) où convergent les écoulements d'eaux constituent des zones d'agriculture économiquement importantes. Ces zones représentent 5% de la surface du sud du Mali, 1/5 est mis en culture. Les projets d'amélioration de la gestion de l'eau et des systèmes de culture doivent concilier plusieurs niveaux d'intervention, la région et le terroir, et tenir compte de la diversité des situations physiques et sociales. Trois facteurs interviennent dans le choix des dispositifs de gestion de l'eau : les caractéristiques morphométriques du bassin versant (prévision quantitative des crues), la profondeur de la couche de sol imperméable (possibilités de régulation du niveau d'eau lorsque les sols sont très filtrants), les écoulements différés (surface potentiellement valorisables). Dans le bas-fond de M'pegnesso (région de Sikasso), la riziculture est intensifiée dans les zones basses avec des variétés améliorées, une meilleure préparation du sol, une fertilisation adaptée. En zones hautes, des variétés de riz intermédiaires entre les types aquatique et pluvial strict sont aussi productives que dans les zones inondées. Le maïs, l'arachide et la pomme de terre sont des productions intéressantes pour diversifier les cultures. Les cultures de bas-fond peuvent être aussi rentables que le cotonnier

Abstract

In this paper, we formulate a mathematical model of malaria transmission dynamics with impulsive and periodic release of Wolbachia-infected male mosquitoes. Our objective is to evaluate the impact of periodic release of Wolbachia-infected male mosquitoes on malaria transmission. Subsequently, to find out how often and in what quantities Wolbachia-infected male mosquitoes need to be released to effectively reduce malaria transmission. By using the comparison principle, Floquet theory and some of the analytical methods, we obtain the basic reproduction number. Then, we demonstrated that the disease-free periodic solution is globally stable if the reproduction number is less than unity, and we prove the uniform persistence of the disease if the reproduction number is greater than unity. Finally, we perform numerical simulations to illustrate our theoretically pertinent results. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Dans ce modèle basé sur la croissance d'une variété précoce bulgare dans les conditions de Montpellier, le développement des méristèmes est considéré comme régi par une succession de tests d'accroissement assortis chacun d'une certaine probabilité de réussite (0, 8 pour la tige principale et 0, 9 pour les branches fructifères), et la construction d'une tige ou d'une branche est décrite par une loi de probabilité de type binomial. Le rythme de développement est 4 fois plus élevé pour les tiges que pour les branches. Un logiciel permet, à partir de ces lois de croissance, de construire graphiquement des cotonniers par une succession de tirages au sort, et cela avec toute la variabilité de structure rencontrée dans la nature. Abstract

Goals: In the frame of the project "Bringing the healthcare near to the people of Municipality of Zegoua" one goal was the strengthening of SLIS and its adaptation to the context of decentralization., Methodology: The research included the decentralized collection and analysis of health data (modern and traditional) and the presentation of key indicators in graphical form to local authorities, to support decision making., Results: The analysis of data from 2006-2008 found: the increase in Curative Consultation from 0.24 to 0.40; achieving universal coverage in Pre-Natal Consultations and Assisted Deliveries, 86.12% coverage in Post-Natal Consultations. For 2008, the evolution of key indicators for month was presented to local authorities and the data were also disaggregated by village. The analysis of financial data allowed to draw up the balance of the Zégoua Polycentric CHCs, and to monitor the capital of essential drugs. About Traditional Medicine, it was identified one traditional healer for 236 inhabitants. The average was 277 patients per month. The first cause of consultation was malaria. The availability of essential information presented in an understandable form has enabled local authorities to identify and locate health problems, and to take timely targeted decisions., Conclusion: These results demonstrate the importance of strengthening the SLIS and of its adaptation to the context of decentralization, as part of the consolidation of local health systems.
