En febrero de 2022, en la denominada Operación Militar Especial lanzada por Vladimir Putin se activó el conflicto entre Rusia y Ucrania. Este artículo busca analizar por qué el conflicto entre Rusia y Ucrania se puede configurar como una guerra de quinta generación. De esta manera, la investigación arrojó que dicha confrontación se puede catalogar como una guerra de quinta generación porque los enfrentamientos se han realizado en las ciudades, que son clasificadas como centros de gravedad militares, políticos y económicos. Así mismo, la confrontación, pese a realizarse en el plano tradicional de la guerra, también se ha desarrollado en su quinto dominio, el ciberespacio, y, finalmente, se identificó la participación de las compañías militares privadas de seguridad en el conflicto. Al respecto, el enfoque metodológico cualitativo permite analizar las características de las guerras de quinta generación a la luz de un estudio de caso internacional.

En este artículo se estudia cuál es el papel que está jugando el patrimonio cultural en la guerra de Ucrania y se identifica algunas de sus amenazas y vulnerabilidades para poder establecer, de este modo, un contexto de riesgo. A lo largo del mismo se podrá comprobar que, lejos de considerarse la destrucción del patrimonio como “un daño colateral”, el patrimonio cultural en esta guerra es un objetivo de guerra, dado el valor simbólico que le atribuye el Kremlin al patrimonio de Ucrania. De esta manera, su destrucción puede ser explotada por el ejército invasor como parte de una estrategia híbrida de coerción, dominación y desestabilización a la vez que las comunidades damnificadas lo perciben como una aniquilación conducente a minar y eliminar su identidad cultural.

O ensaio propõe discutir a mediação técnica por meio de dispositivos móveis, em particular celulares, e seu impacto na comunicação de jovens militares dentro das trincheiras da guerra na Ucrânia. Tal mediação por smartphones e novas mídias formam um contexto ímpar para pensar a auto exposição a partir de um cenário de vigilância já distópico, porém agravado pelas condições de sobrevivência. Explora-se a oposição humano/tecnológico, incluindo críticas à objetividade científica e, assim, introduz o conceito de ciborgue conforme Haraway (2016). Destaca-se a contribuição crítica Haraway aos imaginários sociotécnicos que buscam se opor às dicotomias e binarismos que predominam na epistemologia ocidental. O ensaio propõe uma nova ontologia humana que abarque as contradições próprias do ser humano, em contraposição aos purismos do renascimento cristão e demais promessas da civilização moderna.

RESUMO Este artigo parte do discurso e artigo de Vladimir que questionam, com argumentos históricos, a viabilidade nacional e estatal independente da Ucrânia e dos ucranianos. Pelo lado político, isso permite que se aproprie da cultura historiográfica russa para construir relações entre Rússia e Ucrânia que, em última instância, visam a garantir o direito à guerra e à posse territorial. No artigo, isso servirá de base para uma análise comparativa de algumas das principais narrativas historiográficas tanto da Rússia quanto da Ucrânia sobre o assunto. Especial importância será dada à obra do clássico historiador ucraniano Mykhailo Hrushevsky, principal esteio da narrativa nacional daquele país em termos de sua afirmação como nação independente. Na conclusão será apresentada uma proposta teórica provisória de tentativa de síntese das teorias modernista e perenialista sobre o fenômeno do nacionalismo a partir do caso ucraniano.

Natopolitanism es una colección de 22 ítems —3 fuentes primarias y 19 artículos—, además de una introducción y una conclusión. La mayoría de los artículos provienen de la New Left Review y su blog Sidecar, pero también de otras revistas académicas como Foreign Affairs, así como de revistas no académicas como Le Monde Diplomatique y The Guardian. Dado que la mayoría de los documentos sobre los eventos que llevaron a la guerra actual en Ucrania siguen siendo clasificados, los artículos caminan por la delgada línea existente entre la investigación académica y el análisis político contemporáneo, la mayoría de ellos con éxito.

The full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia in February 2022 led to an increase of traumatic events and mental health burden in the Ukrainian general population. The (ongoing) traumatisation can have a crucial impact on children and adolescents as they are especially vulnerable for developing trauma-related disorders such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or Depression. To date, these children have only very limited access to trauma-focused evidence-based treatments (EBTs) by trained mental health specialists in Ukraine. The fast and effective implementation of these treatments in Ukraine is crucial to improve the psychological wellbeing of this vulnerable population. This letter to the editor describes an ongoing project which implements a trauma-focused EBT called 'Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy' (TF-CBT) in Ukraine during the war. In collaboration with Ukrainian and international agencies, the project 'TF-CBT Ukraine' was developed and implemented starting in March 2022. The project entails a large training programme for Ukrainian mental health specialists and the implementation of TF-CBT with children and their families in and from Ukraine. All components of the project are scientifically evaluated on a patient and therapist level, cross-sectionally and longitudinally, in a mixed-methods design. All together nine training cohorts with N = 133 Ukrainian therapists started the programme, all monthly case consultations (15 groups) and treatments of patients are still ongoing. Lessons learnt from this first large-scale implementation project on an EBT for children and adolescents impacted by trauma in Ukraine will help inform the field on challenges and also possibilities to expand such efforts. On a broader level, this project could be one small step in the process of helping children overcome the negative effects and experience resilience in the context of a war-torn nation. Since Putin executed his invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, it has generated various responses in the real world and on social media. Among the most active users worldwide, Indonesian netizens contribute significantly to social media debates. It is intriguing since the past pattern indicates that Indonesian social media seldom generate a massive response to international affairs issues, especially those unrelated to Indonesia. However, in the case of Putin's Invasion, the Indonesian netizens behaved out of pattern by reproducing extensive narratives to support Russia's invasion by glorifying Putin's masculine side. In this paper, we trace how the narrative glorifying Putin's masculinities is constructed within Indonesian netizens' responses by interpreting Twitter data right after the first Russian attack from February 2022 to March 2022. Further, we also explain under what conditions the narratives emerge. We found that the narrative created two different patterns: the first pattern radiated romanticizing Putin's machoism aspect and, at the same time, feminizing the Indonesian government. We then argue that the supporting narratives are linked with how Indonesian gender relations are imbued with hegemonic masculinity products of the past Indonesian colonialism that shaped the praise for the hegemonic masculinity point of view. The purpose of the study is to analyse the importance of standardisation and certification in the context of vocational education, as well as to study the dynamics and main challenges facing the Ukrainian vocational education system. To achieve the aim of the article, theoretical methods of cognition were used, in particular, methods of analysis, synthesis, deduction, content analysis, induction, and comparison. The results demonstrate that further development of vocational education in Ukraine is impossible without systemic changes in the legislation governing the educational sector and other important regulatory documents, such as the National Qualifications Framework, the classification of professions, as well as documentation from the National Qualifications Agency, etc. Overcoming problems in this area, such as clarifying professional areas and making them compliant with modern requirements, as well as eliminating outdated professions that do not meet modern technologies and processes, are important for adapting educational documents and standards to the requirements of the modern world. In the process of developing new regulations in the field of vocational education, it is important to take into account existing international and European standards, which will allow Ukraine's European integration potential to be taken into account. A flexible response to changes in the labour market is also an important element of the reform. The conclusions note that harmonisation with European educational systems and finding resources for its implementation remains an important task, even in difficult conditions, including the military aggression of the Kremlin regime.
