Background: Both venetoclax plus a hypomethylating agent (VEN/HMA) and cytarabine, aclarubicin, and granulocyte colony‐stimulating factor (CAG) are low‐intensity regimens for older patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) that show good efficacy and safety. It is unknown how VEN/HMA compares with the CAG regimen for the treatment of newly diagnosed AML. Methods: The outcomes of patients with newly diagnosed AML treated with VEN/HMA were compared with those of patients treated with a CAG‐based regimen. Propensity score matching between these two cohorts at a 1:1 ratio was performed according to age at diagnosis, sex, Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status, state of fitness, and European LeukemiaNet (ELN) 2022 risk stratification to minimize bias. Results: A total of 84 of 96 patients in the VEN/HMA cohort were matched with 84 of 147 patients in the CAG cohort. VEN/HMA resulted in a better response than the CAG‐based regimens, as indicated by a higher composite complete remission (CRc) rate (82.1% vs. 60.7%; p =.002) and minimal residual disease negativity rate (88.2% vs. 68.2%; p =.009). In patients with an ELN adverse risk, VEN/HMA was associated with a higher CRc rate compared to CAG (80.5% vs. 58.3%; p =.006). VEN/HMA was associated with longer event‐free survival (EFS) (median EFS, not reached vs. 4.5 months; p =.0004), whereas overall survival (OS) was comparable between the two cohorts (median OS, not reached vs. 18 months; p =.078). Conclusions: The VEN/HMA regimen may result in a better response than CAG‐based treatment in older patients with newly diagnosed AML. Patients newly diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia responded better to venetoclax plus a hypomethylating agent than to cytarabine, aclarubicin, and granulocyte colony‐stimulating factor–based treatment regimens. To explore the effect of leukocyte-platelet-rich fibrin (L-PRF) on promoting wound healing in diabetic foot ulcers. A total of 42 patients with diabetic foot ulcers at our hospital from January 2017 to July 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. A control group and a PRF group were established. The two groups of patients underwent debridement. In the platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) group, autologous L-PRF was used to cover ulcer wounds. One time each week, Vaseline gauze was used to cover the ulcer wounds. In contrast, the control group was treated with the external application of mupirocin ointment and recombinant human epidermal growth factor gel (yeast). Two times each week, the sterile Vaseline gauze was covered with a bandage. Both groups were treated for 5 weeks. The wound recovery of the two groups was observed. During the early stage of treatment (first and second weeks) for diabetic foot ulcers, the wound healing rate was significantly better with L-PRF treatment than traditional treatment. For later-stage treatment (third to fifth weeks), the overall cure rate was higher with L-PRF than the traditional treatment method. Online learning is a new type of learning practice based on information and communication technologies. It has gained great popularity in higher education in China in recent years, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, because it can reach more students over long distances and achieve cost-benefit maximization. Compared with the traditional classroom-based learning model, online learning reduces the control of instructors, thus highlighting the students’ self-management ability and peer assistance. Based on the data collected from an online learning survey of undergraduate (BSW) and graduate social work (MSW) students in China in 2022, this study reveals the effects of social work students’ self-control and peer assistance on online learning satisfaction. The results show that 72.95% of BSW and MSW students have participated in online learning in the previous academic year, and they are generally satisfied with their online learning. Students’ self-control ability significantly affects their satisfaction with online learning. At the same time, peer assistance is a significant mediating variable. It is suggested that in addition to promoting students’ self-control ability and self-study management, making full use of online resources to promote peer assistance and communication among students is also a way to improve social work students’ satisfaction with online learning. The zebrafish (Danio rerio) has been widely used in the study of human disease and development, and about 70% of the protein-coding genes are conserved between the two species.sup.1. However, studies in zebrafish remain constrained by the sparse annotation of functional control elements in the zebrafish genome. Here we performed RNA sequencing, assay for transposase-accessible chromatin using sequencing (ATAC-seq), chromatin immunoprecipitation with sequencing, whole-genome bisulfite sequencing, and chromosome conformation capture (Hi-C) experiments in up to eleven adult and two embryonic tissues to generate a comprehensive map of transcriptomes, cis-regulatory elements, heterochromatin, methylomes and 3D genome organization in the zebrafish Tübingen reference strain. A comparison of zebrafish, human and mouse regulatory elements enabled the identification of both evolutionarily conserved and species-specific regulatory sequences and networks. We observed enrichment of evolutionary breakpoints at topologically associating domain boundaries, which were correlated with strong histone H3 lysine 4 trimethylation (H3K4me3) and CCCTC-binding factor (CTCF) signals. We performed single-cell ATAC-seq in zebrafish brain, which delineated 25 different clusters of cell types. By combining long-read DNA sequencing and Hi-C, we assembled the sex-determining chromosome 4 de novo. Overall, our work provides an additional epigenomic anchor for the functional annotation of vertebrate genomes and the study of evolutionarily conserved elements of 3D genome organization. Acrylic acid-modified polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (AC-POSS) was synthesized by the reaction between the amine groups in polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) and acrylic acid, which could dissolve in water and can be easily purified. Free-radical copolymerization was applied to synthesize azobenzene liquid crystalline polymer silsesquioxane (LCP-POSS) with different proportions of AC-POSS and liquid crystalline monomers. The trans-isomers of azobenzene moieties in LCP-POSS were gradually transformed to cis-isomers with increasing ultraviolet irradiation time. The photoisomerization reaction of liquid crystalline polymer (LCP) and LCP-POSS showed the first-order dynamic reaction. Compared with the LCP, the photoisomerization rate constant of LCP-POSS was decreased due to the space steric hindrance of the POSS as a rigid segment. The phase transition temperature of liquid crystalline in LCP-POSS increased with increasing POSS content, and the liquid crystalline texture in LCP-POSS became smaller under the polarized light. With further increasing the POSS content (>50 wt%) in LCP-POSS, the ordered structure of the liquid crystalline phase was gradually affected, resulting in one-way liquid crystal (LC) phase behavior. The synthesized LCP-POSS has LC properties, light-responsive properties, and thermal stability. When the POSS is introduced into the LC material, the phase state of the LC material will become more abundant and the LC phase will become more stable. The significance of this study is to develop and extend its applications as stimuli-responsive materials and devices.

The effect of niobium ions with high‐valence doping on high‐voltage LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 (LNMO) materials was investigated. LiNi0.5Mn1.5−xNbxO4 was prepared by doping high‐valent niobium ions into LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 material using the organic assisted combustion method. The experimental samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X‐ray diffraction (XRD), X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), electrochemical impedance (EI), and cyclic voltammetry (CV) analysis. The experimental results show that ‐doping with high‐valence niobium ions changes the orientation of the crystal plane growth of spinel particles, and the morphology of these particles changes from the octahedral shape before doping to the spherical shape after doping. With the increase in doping amount, the crystal structure changes gradually, resulting in the Li0.96Nb1.01O3 impurity phase. The doping of high valence‐niobium ions increases the content of Mn3+ in the material, resulting in the appearance of a 4 V discharge platform and the formation of a 4.7 and 4 V discharge platforms. The doping of Nb can improve the cycling stability of LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 material, but the specific capacity of the material is reduced. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

To solve the common problem of flumes flow-measurement accuracy without sacrificing water head, a new type of trapezoidal cutthroat flume to measure the discharge in terminal trapezoidal channels is presented. Using the computational fluid dynamic method, three-dimensional flow fields in trapezoidal cutthroat flumes were simulated using the RNG k-ε three-dimensional turbulence model along with the TruVOF technique. Simulations were performed for 12 working conditions, with discharges up to 0.075 m3·s−1 to determine hydraulic performance. Experimental data for the trapezoidal cutthroat flume in terminal trapezoidal channel were also obtained to validate the simulation results. Velocity distribution of the flume obtained from simulation analyses were compared with observed results based on time-averaged flow field and comparison yielded a solid agreement between results from the two methods, with relative error below 10%. The results indicated that the Froude number and the longitudinal average velocity increased along the convergence section and decreased in the divergent section. In the upper throat, the Froude number was less than 0.5, which meets the water measurement requirement, and the critical flow appeared near the throat section. The maximum water head loss of the trapezoidal cutthroat flume was less than 9% of the total head, compared to the rectangular cutthroat flume, and head loss of trapezoidal cutthroat flume was significantly less. Regression models developed for upstream depth versus discharge under different working conditions were satisfactory, with a relative error of less than 2.06%, which meets the common requirements of flow measurement in irrigation areas. It was concluded that trapezoidal cutthroat flumes can improve flow-measurement accuracy without sacrificing water head.
