As radiation therapy is increasingly utilized in the treatment of cancer, neuropathic pain (NP) is a common radiotherapy-related adverse effect and has a significant impact on clinical outcomes negatively. However, despite an improved understanding of neuropathic pain management, pain is often undertreated in patients with cancer. Herein, we reported two cases with radiotherapy-related neuropathic pain (RRNP) who presented a positive reaction to acupuncture. Patient 1 (a 73-year-old woman) with gynecologic cancer complained of burning and electric shock-like pain in the lower limb after radiotherapy. With the accepted combination of acupuncture and drugs, the pain was alleviated completely in 8 weeks. Patient 2 (a 64-year-old woman) accepted acupuncture in the absence of medication because of her inability to tolerate the adverse events of anticonvulsant drugs. She achieved remission of pain 4 weeks later. The results of this study showed that acupuncture might be promising for controlling the RRNP in patients with cancer, especially who were intolerant or unresponsive to medications.

Bovine hepacivirus (BovHepV) is a member of the genus Hepacivirus of the family Flaviviridae, which can cause acute or persistent infections in cattle. Currently, BovHepV strains identified in cattle populations worldwide can be classified into two genotypes with eight subtypes in genotype 1. BovHepV has been identified in a wide geographic area in China. Interestingly, the viral RNA of BovHepV has also been detected in ticks in Guangdong province, China. In this study, Rhipicephalus microplus tick samples were collected in Heilongjiang province, northeastern China, and BovHepV was screened with an overall positive rate of 10.9%. Sequence comparison and phylogenetic analysis showed that the BovHepV strains detected in this study belong to the subtype G. This is the first report about the detection of BovHepV in ticks in Heilongjiang province, China, which expands our knowledge that ticks may be a transmission vector of BovHepV.

In the working environment of rural schools, whether and how does the identity of new comprehensive teachers change before and after service? Research on this problem is beneficial to optimize pre-service training and provide effective support for in-service training. In this study, phenomenological interviews were conducted to understand the formation and change of their identities in the three stages of pre-service, working and current teaching of four new teachers with 3-year teaching experience in the minority areas of western China. The results show that in the working environment of rural schools, three comprehensive teachers in primary schools have gradually changed from being excellent subject teachers to caring teachers. Another determined to become a caring teacher before her career, she retained her own identity in her work and focused more on the healthy growth of her students. The results show that the working environment of rural schools has a significant impact on the identity of first-term teachers of primary schools. Pre-service training should be integrated into local culture to promote the integration of pre-service and in-service and realize its sustainable development.

This study aimed to investigate the effect of homemade green ripe period chewing tablets on gastrointestinal function in mice. The free combination of Kunming mice was divided into a blank control group, a positive control group, a model control group, a green ripe period Tuokexun apricot fruit group, a low-dose group of green ripe period Tuokexun apricot chewable tablets, a medium dose group of green ripe period Tuokexun apricot chewable tablets, and a high-dose group of green ripe period Tuokexun apricot chewable tablets. After 7 days of adaptive feeding, loperamide hydrochloride was used in the mouse model of constipation, through studies of gastrointestinal function in mice, the effects of first blue stool time, the number of defecation grains, fecal moisture content, small bowel propulsion rate, colon water content, and gastric emptying rate were obtained. Results showed that there were significant differences in various indicators between the low, medium, and high dose groups of the green ripening stage Tuokexun apricot chewing tablets and the constipation model control group, positive control group, and green ripening stage Tuokexun apricot fruit group. This indicated that the green ripe period Tuokexun apricot chewing tablets could significantly improve the small intestine propulsion rate, shorten the defecation time, increase the number of defecated particles in 6 hours, increase gastric emptying rate, fecal water content, and colon water content in constipation model mice, through deeply studying the laxative mechanism, showing that it could regulate the content of P substance and vasoactive intestinal peptide, promote intestinal peristalsis, and improve constipation. In situ cyclized polyacrylonitrile (CPAN) is developed to replace n‐type metal oxide semiconductors (TiO2 or SnO2) as an electron selective layer (ESL) for highly efficient and stable n‐i‐p perovskite solar cells (PSCs). The CPAN layer is fabricated via facile in situ cyclization reaction of polyacrylonitrile (PAN) coated on a conducting glass substrate. The CPAN layer is robust and insoluble in common solvents, and possesses n‐type semiconductor properties with a high electron mobility of 4.13×10−3 cm2 V−1 s−1. With the CPAN as an ESL, the PSC affords a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 23.12 %, which is the highest for the n‐i‐p PSCs with organic ESLs. Moreover, the device with the CPAN layer holds superior operational stability, maintaining over 90 % of their initial efficiency after 500 h continuous light soaking. These results confirm that the CPAN layer would be a desirable low‐cost and efficient ESL for n‐i‐p PSCs and other photoelectronic devices with high performance and stability. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
