Porté par les industries agroalimentaires, le système alimentaire dominant actuellement n’est pas durable. Les études et les expertises se multiplient pour en montrer les limites en termes d’usage des ressources, de distanciation, de santé, d’équité, d’emploi etc… Face à ces constats, des acteurs publics ou privés se mobilisent et l’on voit émerger des initiatives où les « gouvernements urbains » apparaissent comme de plus en plus actifs et puissants. Écrit par un collectif de chercheurs, cet ouvrage décrit les cadres conceptuels existants pour une démarche d’analyse des politiques alimentaires urbaines, au croisement des concepts de système alimentaire et de ville durable. Il constitue une base de travail pour identifier des questions de recherche, en relation avec les initiatives des gouvernements locaux urbains, au Nord et au Sud. Il est issu des travaux menés au sein d’Agropolis International dans le cadre du programme Surfood (Sustainable urban food systems) ainsi que d’une recherche-action menée en appui à Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole pour la construction de sa politique agroécologique et alimentaire. Les auteurs s’adressent aux scientifiques et aux experts qui analysent et accompagnent les politiques alimentaires urbaines. Les experts de politiques locales dans leur globalité trouveront également un intérêt à la lecture de l’ouvrage.

This call for papers arises out of the (re-)emergence of the food issue in North American and European urban contexts during the first two decades of the 21st century. Until recently, the strong initial urban focus of this emerging field of research and action has side-lined rural and mountain areas, at least in the Global North.But, the issues of food transition are also relevant for mountain territories: How are new ways of producing, processing, distributing, sourcing and eating invented? How do the broad challenges of food transition take shape in mountain areas?This call for papers aims to show the current dynamics of food systems in mountain regions and wishes to investigate these dynamics in the light of several specific topics that we would like this special issue to cover., Cet appel à article trouve son origine dans la (re)naissance de la question alimentaire dans les contextes urbains en Amérique du Nord et en Europe au cours des deux premières décennies du 21ème siècle. Jusque récemment, les territoires ruraux et de montagne des Nords ont été en retrait des analyses cherchant à faire le lien entre l’évolution des systèmes alimentaires et des systèmes territoriaux, la focale ayant été initialement fortement mise sur les territoires urbains. Or, les enjeux de transition alimentaire dans les territoires se posent aussi pour les territoires de montagne : comment s’y inventent de nouvelles façons de produire, de transformer, de distribuer, de s’approvisionner et de manger ? Comment les grands défis de la transition alimentaire prennent-ils forme dans les territoires de montagne ?Cet appel à article souhaite donner à voir les dynamiques en cours dans les territoires de montagne au regard de la question alimentaire et interroger ces dynamiques à l’aune de quelques enjeux que l’on voudrait voir discuter dans ce numéro.

This study analyzed the associations between the 24-hour movement behaviors composition and fitness in preschoolers and investigated predicted changes in fitness when time in active behaviors is reallocated. This cross-sectional study was carried out with 270 preschoolers (132 boys; 3.97 ± 0.80 years-old). Light and moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (LPA and MVPA), and sedentary behavior (SB) were verified using an accelerometer. Sleep time was obtained through interviews with parents. Components of physical fitness (cardiorespiratory fitness—CRF, speed-agility, and lower-body muscular strength) were assessed using the PREFIT Battery. To verify the association between 24-hour movement behaviors and physical fitness, the compositional analysis was used, and for the time reallocation, the compositional isotemporal substitution analysis was used for active behaviors (LPA and MVPA). The daily composition, adjusted for body mass index, sex, and age, was significantly associated with CRF (P = .007; r2 = 0.29), speed-agility (P < .001; r2 = 0.14), and lower-body muscular strength (P = .01; r2 = 0.07). For CRF, the addition of MVPA, at the expense of any other behavior, was associated with significant improvements. For speed-agility and lower-body muscular strength, only reallocations between sleep and LPA yielded significant associations. The variation in CRF, speed-agility, and lower-body muscular strength was associated with the 24 hours movement composition, and reallocating 5, 10 or 15 minutes of SB or sleep for MVPA was significantly positive for CRF (P < .05). The present findings highlight the relevance of decreasing SB and increasing physical activity practice, particularly at high intensities, to promote a better CRF profile for preschoolers.

Objetivo: verificar o efeito de uma intervenção em educação física avaliada em diferentes períodos, considerando o recesso escolar, sobre os níveis de aptidão física cardiorrespiratória, abdominais em 1 minuto, flexibilidade e pressão arterial sistólica em jovens e adultos de ambos os sexos na educação de jovens e adultos (EJA). Métodos: Estudo pré-experimental quantitativo realizado com 27 estudantes, 9 do sexo feminino, idade média 29,38 anos (dp: ±15,39) e 18 do sexo masculino, média de idade 20,40 anos (dp:±9,34). A intervenção aconteceu com aulas de Jump no primeiro semestre. Handebol e rúgbi foram aplicados no segundo semestre. Os efeitos da intervenção foram avaliados sobre a pressão arterial sistólica (PAS), aptidão cardiorrespiratória (APCR), flexibilidade e abdominais sit-up por meio do D de Cohen. Resultados: No sexo feminino, a APCR (efeito=0,95) e a flexibilidade (efeito=1,33) aumentaram entre março/julho. Durante o recesso houve redução dessas capacidades físicas. Em agosto/dezembro houve novo incremento de APCR, além de redução da PAS (efeito=-1,06). No sexo masculino, houve redução da PAS (efeito=-0,69) e aumento da APCR (efeito=0,84) entre agosto/dezembro. Conclusão: As aulas de ginástica melhoraram indicadores de saúde dos escolares, principalmente no sexo feminino durante o primeiro semestre, já o handebol e rúgbi aumentaram a APCR e reduziram a PAS nos dois sexos. O período de recesso reduziu as capacidades físicas dos estudantes, indicando que as aulas de educação física são importantes meios para melhorar níveis de aptidão física na EJA. Methods: Quantitative pre-experimental study conducted with 27 students, 9 females, mean age 29.38 (SD: ± 15.39) years old and 18 males, 20.40 (SD: ± 9.34). The intervention happened with Jump classes in the first semester. Handball and rugby were applied in the second half. The effects of the intervention were assessed on systolic blood pressure (SBP), cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF), flexibility, and sit-up abdominals using Cohen's D. Results: In women, the CRF (effect = 0.95) and flexibility (effect = 1.33) increased between March / July. During recess, there was a reduction in these physical capacities. In August / December there was a further increase in CRF, together with the reduction in SBP (effect = -1.06). In males, there was a reduction in SBP (effect = -0.69) and an increase in CRF (effect = 0.84) between August / December. Conclusion: Gymnastics classes improved the health indicators of the students, especially in the female sex during the first semester, while handball and rugby increased the CRF and reduced the SBP in both sexes. The recess period reduced students' physical capacities, indicating that physical education classes are an important means of improving physical fitness levels at YAE.
