107. Subplenones A–J: Dimeric Xanthones with Antibacterial Activity from the Endophytic Fungus Subplenodomussp. CPCC 401465

Abstract

Subplenones A–J (1–10), 10 new xanthone dimers, have been isolated and characterized from the endophytic fungus Subplenodomussp. CPCC 401465, which resides within the Chinese medicinal plant Gentiana straminea. The isolation process was guided by antibacterial assays and molecular-networking-based analyses. The chemical structures of these compounds were elucidated through the interpretation of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and high-resolution electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (HRESIMS) data. Furthermore, the relative configuration of the compounds was determined using NMR and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses, and the absolute configuration was established using electronic circular dichroism calculations. All of the isolated compounds exhibited significant inhibitory activity against Gram-positive bacteria. Notably, compounds 1, 5, and 7displayed remarkable inhibitory activity against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA) ATCC 700698, with a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of 0.25 μg/mL, and against vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium(VRE) ATCC 700221, with MIC values ranging from 0.5 to 1.0 μg/mL.

108. Ambient Data-Driven Online Tracking of Electromechanical Modes Using Recursive Subspace Dynamic Mode Decomposition

Abstract

The extraction of electromechanical modal parameters from ambient data is a useful and practical method that can monitor the modal properties of power system oscillations online. This paper proposes a recursive subspace dynamic mode decomposition (RSub-DMD) algorithm for online monitoring power system modes using wide-area synchronized ambient data. By introducing Givens rotation to the recursion process, the computational capability of subspace dynamic mode decomposition has been significantly improved without compromising accuracy. The shorter sliding data window enables the proposed RSub-DMD to quickly track the electromechanical modal parameters and participation factors (PFs), with low estimation variance. IEEE 16 generator 68 bus test system and measurement data from real system are used to verify the performance of the proposed RSub-DMD algorithm. The tracking results in different operating environments verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Forty male Sprague Dawley rats weighing 280 to 340 g (12 weeks old) were randomly divided into four groups including Control group, KOA group, KOA plus manual acupuncture group (KOA+MA), KOA plus sham acupuncture group (KOA+SA). The acupuncture treatment lasted for three weeks (one-day rest after six days of treatment). Paw withdrawal threshold test and open-field test were used to assess mechanical allodynia and locomotor activity respectively for once a week. Hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining was used to assess the damage of the cartilage, synovium and infrapatellar fat pad (IFP). 18F-FDG PET was performed to quantify joint inflammation. The influence on the subchondral bone in these rats was confirmed by micro-CT.Results: Mechanical hyperalgesia, joint inflammation, and obvious bone destruction were observed in the KOA group

Abstract

Acupuncture is an emerging alternative therapy that has been beneficial for the pain of osteoarthritis (OA). However, the underlying mechanism of protective effect remains unclear. MCP1/CCR2 axis can be stimulated in various periods of OA, and we hypothesize that acupuncture may treat OA by regulating the MCP1/CCR2 axis. This study aimed to explore the effect of acupuncture at points ST35 and ST36 on the effects of hyperalgesia and cartilage in OA rats including the expression of chemokines, nerve growth factor (NGF), and inflammatory-related proteins. OA was induced in male Sprague–Dawley rats by anterior cruciate ligament transection at the right knee. The first acupuncture intervention was performed on the seventh day after surgery and once a day for seven weeks. The knee-pain-related behaviors, histology, and related protein were examined in this study. We have found that electroacupuncture at ST35 and ST36 can significantly alleviate the hyperalgesia and cartilage degeneration as well as reducing nerve sprouting in OA knee joint. Moreover, acupuncture treatment may inhibit the MCP1/CCR2 axis as well as down-regulate inflaming factor and NGF in cartilage and synovial tissue. The data presented here indicate that acupuncture exerts a protective effect against hyperalgesia and cartilage degeneration, and the mechanism might involve in chemokines and NGF pathway.

Abstract

We present in this paper the modeling and flight-control-system design for the yaw channel of an unmanned-aerial-vehicle (UAV) helicopter using a newly developed composite nonlinear feedback (CNF)-control technique. The CNF-control method has been proven to be capable of yielding a fast transient response with no or very minimal overshoot in tracking a specific target. From the actual flight tests on our UAV helicopter, it has been found that the commonly used yaw dynamical model for the UAV helicopter proposed in the literature is very rough and inaccurate, which might cause the helicopter to shake severely in certain flight conditions. This motivates us to first obtain a more accurate model for the yaw channel of our UAV helicopter. The CNF-control method is then utilized to design an efficient control law, which gives excellent overall performance. In particular, our design has achieved a Level I performance according to the standards set for military rotorcraft. The results are verified through actual flight tests. 148. Research on the optimal allocation method of source and storage capacity of integrated energy system considering integrated demand response

Abstract

The optimal allocation of energy storage capacity is an important issue for integrated energy systems (IES). To reduce the impact of volatility and intermittency of renewable energy sources, the impact of volatility needs to be smoothed out by rational allocation of energy storage. To address the above issues, this paper proposes a method for the optimal allocation of source storage capacity considering integrated demand response(IDR). Firstly, the basic mechanism of IES based on energy hub(EH) is constructed, and the model and coupling relationship of equipment components in the system are introduced. The IDR model is built to optimize the load curve according to the real-time market tariff scheme, and then the confidence interval method is used to analyze the scenery uncertainty in IES and determine the scenery output curve under different confidence levels. On this basis, a bi-level optimization model is built that takes into account both source and storage capacity allocation and operational optimization. The upper-level planning model takes into account the uncertainty of wind power and photovoltaic output, and solves the allocation scheme of energy storage intending to minimize the total planning cost; the lower-level operation optimization model takes into account the output constraints of each unit and optimizes the output of the equipment to minimize the operation cost. Finally, it is verified that considering IDR can reasonably optimize the allocation of the system’s source storage capacity and reduce the system’s investment and operating costs.

149. A wind power curtailment reduction strategy using electric vehicles based on individual differential evolution quantum particle swarm optimization algorithm

Abstract

A wind power curtailment consumption strategy using electric vehicles (EVs) based on individual differential evolution quantum particle swarm optimization algorithm (IDE-QPSO) is proposed, with the objective of reducing the system’s wind curtailment in order to further improve the wind power consumption rate while effectively reducing wind power output fluctuation and amplitude. EV aggregators act as charging tariff setters, releasing dynamic time-of-use tariffs (DTOU) for EV clusters to respond to based on wind curtailment data accounted for by the dispatch center. This method first establishes an electric vehicle charging load model based on the travel chain theory and residents’ travel rules, then establishes an EV users autonomous response model based on the sensitivity of electric vehicle users to the charging prices. Second, a multi-objective optimization function is established based on the aforementioned model, which integrates wind power curtailment consumption and minimizes wind power output fluctuation and amplitude, and it is solved using an improved quantum particle swarm optimization algorithm. Finally, adequate simulation experiments show that this strategy can effectively smooth out the fluctuation of wind power output and improve the wind power consumption rate.
