Studies have revealed that rewards promote long-term memory, even in an incidental way. However, most previous studies using the incidental paradigm have included two reward levels, and it is still not clear how the reward magnitude influences memory. Adopting the incidental paradigm and three reward levels, the current study revealed that the reward magnitude impacted 1-d delayed episodic memory in a nonlinear, inverted U-shaped pattern. An additional experiment showed that there was no reward effect in immediate episodic memory. Our results support the dopaminergic memory consolidation theory and further imply that the reward magnitude needs to be considered in the theory.

Our current perception and decision‐making are shaped by recent experiences, a phenomenon known as serial dependence. While serial dependence is well‐documented in visual perception and has been recently explored in time perception, their functional similarities across non‐temporal and temporal domains remain elusive, particularly in relation to task relevance and working memory load. To address this, we designed a unified experimental paradigm using coherent motion stimuli to test both direction and time reproduction. The direction and time tasks were randomly mixed across trials. Additionally, we introduced pre‐cue versus post‐cue settings in separate experiments to manipulate working memory load during the encoding phase. We found attractive biases in time reproduction but repulsive biases in direction estimation. Notably, the temporal attraction was more pronounced when the preceding task was also time‐related. In contrast, the direction repulsion remained unaffected by the nature of the preceding task. Additionally, both attractive and repulsive biases were enhanced by the post‐cue compared to the pre‐cue. Our findings suggest that opposing sequential effects in non‐temporal and temporal domains may originate from different processing stages linked to sensory adaptation and post‐perceptual processes involving working memory. Even though membrane separation materials have worked very well for purifying dyestuff wastewater, the short residence time and high pollutant flow rates in the membrane, which can lead to incomplete or insufficient photodegradation, make it currently difficult to separate and photodegrade large-scale or highly concentrated dyestuff wastewater in one step. Herein, we propose an 'all-in-one' 3D nanofibrous aerogel architecture (aPAN/MXene@Ag–Ag2S), which can achieve efficient purification of high-concentration dyeing effluents under natural sunlight via two methods: filtration or solar interfacial evaporation. Ag–Ag2S nanoparticles with two different structures are reduced on Ti3C2Tx nanosheets through a UV light-induced in situ reaction, and they function as effective photocatalysts with excellent photothermal ability for solar interfacial evaporation. The special combination of Ag–Ag2S, MXene, and aPAN nanofibers in the aPAN/MXene@Ag–Ag2S aerogels achieved 95% separation and 99.99% photocatalytic degradation efficiencies for oil/water emulsions with methylene blue at a high concentration of 1000 mg L−1, which far exceeds those of recently reported MXene-based catalysts. In particular, wastewater from industrial dyeing could be treated to clean water under natural sunlight. In addition, the evaporation rates of the aPAN/MXene@Ag–Ag2S aerogel for seawater and textile dye wastewater respectively reach 2.69 kg m−2 h−1 and 2.44 kg m−2 h−1 and almost 100% degradation efficiency is achieved. Both the filtered fresh water and the evaporated water produced by solar evaporation meet the requirements of the Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant or the World Health Organization (WHO) and the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards for drinking water, respectively. Utilizing photoregenerated cofactors in conjunction with enzymes in a sequential manner presents an effective approach for the synthesis of targeted compounds in gentle reaction conditions. Nevertheless, the integration of enzymes and photocatalysts has faced challenges due to the swift breakdown of biomaterials caused by high‐energy or blue lights and photoinduced reactive oxygen species, leading to the denaturation and deactivation of enzymatic materials. This study details the deliberate development and production of hairy hollow conjugated microporous polymers (S‐hPrTZ‐P HCMPs), achieved via Sonogashira–Hagihara coupling on SiO2 templates, followed by sulfonation, polymer grafting and ultimately eliminating the SiO2 cores. This technique leverages the distinctive characteristics of low‐energy near‐infrared light, such as its superior penetration ability, to effectively regenerate the enzymatic cofactor NAD+ from NADH. It can accomplish this feat even when faced with synthetic or biological barriers that are impermeable to visible light. Simultaneously, photogenerated reactive oxygen species are captured and neutralized by the hydrophilic polymer brushes, safeguarding the integrity of the enzymatic material. The adaptability of S‐hPrTZ‐P with photocatalytic properties is showcased alongside glucose 1‐dehydrogenase and glycerol dehydrogenase. Somatic mutations related to clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP) are risk factors for stroke. The impact of DNMT3A, the most mutated gene in CHIP, on clinical functional outcomes of acute ischemic stroke (AIS) remains unclear. In a well‐characterized cohort of 8524 ischemic stroke patients, we demonstrated that DNMT3A‐driven CHIP was significantly associated with neurological disability in these patients. With a stroke mouse model of transient middle cerebral artery occlusion (tMCAO), we demonstrated that DNMT3A protein levels in the brain penumbra increased. The DNMT3A inhibitor RG108 administration amplified neutrophil proliferation in the blood, promoted neutrophil infiltration into the brain penumbra, and exaggerated proinflammatory activation in tMCAO male mice. DNMT3A inhibition also significantly increased infarct volume and worsened neurobehavioral function in tMCAO male mice. In conclusion, DNMT3A somatic mutations are associated with worsened neurological disability in some patients with AIS, potentially through increased neutrophil proliferation and infiltration in the ischemic brain region. These findings suggest a possible mechanism for proinflammatory activation and tissue damage in the affected brain tissue, highlighting the need for further research in this area. The involvement of left-behind children (LBC) in school bullying has raised concern in China. However, the susceptibility of LBC to engage in bullying is controversial, and comprehensive, representative studies covering the entire country are lacking. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the prevalence and severity of school bullying among LBC. The Chinese National Knowledge Network, WanFang, VIP, PubMed, Web of Science, EMBASE, and EBSCO databases were searched for literature on being left-behind and bullying before April 2022. The effect size was measured by odds ratio (ORs), standard mean difference (SMD), and 95% confidence interval (CI). Random-effects or fixed-effects models were selected for meta-analysis, and subgroup analysis was used to explore the sources of heterogeneity. The meta-analysis included 25 studies of school bullying among LBC and non-LBC (NLBC). The prevalence of bullying perpetration and victimization among LBC were 18.58% (95% CI [3.72%, 33.44%], p <.05) and 40.62% (95% CI [25.47%, 55.78%], p <.05), respectively. Compared with NLBC, the risk of bullying perpetration and victimization among LBC increased 1.97 times (OR = 1.97, 95% CI [1.77, 2.20], p <.05) and 2.17 times (OR = 2.17, 95% CI [1.43, 3.29], p <.05), respectively. The severity of bullying experienced by LBC was higher than that of NLBC (SMD = 0.49, 95% CI [0.20, 0.79], p <.05). The prevalence and severity of school bullying were higher in LBC than in NLBC, and left-behindness was positively associated with school bullying. Big datasets are gathered daily from different remote sensing platforms. Recently, statistical co‐kriging models, with the help of scalable techniques, have been able to combine such datasets by using spatially varying bias corrections. The associated Bayesian inference for these models is usually facilitated via Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) methods which present (sometimes prohibitively) slow mixing and convergence because they require the simulation of high‐dimensional random effect vectors from their posteriors given large datasets. To enable fast inference in big data spatial problems, we propose the recursive nearest neighbor co‐kriging (RNNC) model. Based on this model, we develop two computationally efficient inferential procedures: (a) the collapsed RNNC which reduces the posterior sampling space by integrating out the latent processes, and (b) the conjugate RNNC, an MCMC free inference which significantly reduces the computational time without sacrificing prediction accuracy. An important highlight of conjugate RNNC is that it enables fast inference in massive multifidelity data sets by avoiding expensive integration algorithms. The efficient computational and good predictive performances of our proposed algorithms are demonstrated on benchmark examples and the analysis of the High‐resolution Infrared Radiation Sounder data gathered from two NOAA polar orbiting satellites in which we managed to reduce the computational time from multiple hours to just a few minutes. Plant-specific transcription factors such as the TCP family play crucial roles in light responses and lateral branching. The commercial development of S. muricatum has been influenced by the ease with which its lateral branches can be germinated, especially under greenhouse cultivation during the winter with supplemented LED light. The present study examined the TCP family genes in S. muricatum using bioinformatics analysis (whole-genome sequencing and RNA-seq) to explore the response of this family to different light treatments. Forty-one TCP genes were identified through a genome-wide search; phylogenetic analysis revealed that the CYC/TB1, CIN and Class I subclusters contained 16 SmTCP, 11 SmTCP and 14 SmTCP proteins, respectively. Structural and conserved sequence analysis of SmTCPs indicated that the motifs in the same subcluster were highly similar in structure and the gene structure of SmTCPs was simpler than that in Arabidopsis thaliana; 40 of the 41 SmTCPs were localized to 12 chromosomes. In S. muricatum, 17 tandem repeat sequences and 17 pairs of SmTCP genes were found. We identified eight TCPs that were significantly differentially expressed (DETCPs) under blue light (B) and red light (R), using RNA-seq. The regulatory network of eight DETCPs was preliminarily constructed. All three subclusters responded to red and blue light treatment. To explore the implications of regulatory TCPs in different light treatments for each species, the TCP regulatory gene networks and GO annotations for A. thaliana and S. muricatum were compared. The regulatory mechanisms suggest that the signaling pathways downstream of the TCPs may be partially conserved between the two species. In addition to the response to light, functional regulation was mostly enriched with auxin response, hypocotyl elongation, and lateral branch genesis. In summary, our findings provide a basis for further analysis of the TCP gene family in other crops and broaden the functional insights into TCP genes regarding light responses.

By applying the simultaneous corona-temperature treatment, the effect of electret temperature on the structure and filtration properties of melt-blown nonwovens was investigated. Fiber diameter, pore size, thickness, areal weight, porosity, crystallinity, filtration efficiency, and pressure drop were evaluated. The results demonstrated that some changes occurred in the structure of electret fabrics after treatment under different temperatures. In the range of 20°C~105°C, the filtration efficiency of melt-blown nonwovens has a relationship with the change in crystallinity, and the pressure drop increased because of the change in areal weight and porosity. This work may provide a reference for further improving filtration efficiency of melt-blown nonwovens.

Field and pot experiments were conducted to explore the response mechanism of endogenous hormones of potential storage root to phosphorus and its relationship with yield and appearance quality of sweetpotato using five different rates of phosphorus addition. Application of adequate amounts of phosphorus (P2 treatment, 112 kg of P2O5 ha–1 in field experiment or 0.04 g of P2O5 kg–1 in pot experiment) improved the yield and the appearance quality of sweetpotato when compared to the control treatment. This observation can be attributed to the fact that P2 treatment significantly increased the expression of Ibkn1 and APRT genes and the concentration of ZR from 20 to 40 days after planting, but the results were the opposite at 10 days after planting. In addition, an increase in the expression of SRD1, NIT4, IbMADS1, and OPR3 and the concentrations of IAA and JA from day 10 to day 40 after planting were observed. Furthermore, the expression of GA3oX4 and the concentration of GA3 decreased significantly from 20 to 30 days of planting and significantly increased after 40 days of planting. Moreover, a significant decrease in the expression of AAO and concentration of ABA was observed from 10 to 30 days after planting, and a significant increase was observed after 40 days of planting. The results show that P2 treatment promoted root development, particularly significantly increased the number of roots and potential storage roots. P2 treatment significantly increased the diameter, weight, and number of storage roots at 40 days after planting. Finally, proper phosphorus application (112 kg of P2O5 ha–1) increased the yield (enhanced from 18.99 to 25.93%) by increasing the number of storage roots per plant and improving the appearance quality by increasing the length/diameter ratio and uniformity of storage root weight.

Objective To establish a health emergency competency evaluation index system for public health personnel, so as to provide a theoretical basis for building a health emergency team. Methods The competency index was screened and the evaluation index frame was established by literature research method, expert association commercial method and Delphi method. The analytic hierarchy process was used to calculate the weight value of the importance of indicators at all levels, and the evaluation index system was formed. Results A total of 21 experts were invited to conduct letter inquiries, and the recovery rate of the two rounds of expert letter inquiries was 100%. The Cronbach's a coefficients of the expert letter consultation form were 0.968 and 0.963, expert authority level 0.865, Kendall's W coordination coefficient in 2 rounds of correspondence suggested that experts had a high consistency (P < 0.05) . The evaluation index system of public health personnel's competency in health emergency work included 3 first-level indicators, 11 second-level indicators and 68 third-level indicators. The weights of the first-level indicators are respectively health emergency literacy (0.517 4), professional literacy (0.336 1) and personal literacy (0.146 6). Conclusion Good health emergency literacy is the basis for public health personnel to respond to public health emergencies. The weight of each index in this index system is determined by Delphi method and analytic hierarchy process, and the results are scientific and reliable. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
