Abstract

As data centers attempt to cope with the exponential growth of data, new techniques for intelligent, software-defined data centers (SDDC) are being developed to confront the scale and pace of changing resources and requirements. For cost-constrained environments, like those increasingly present in scientific research labs, SDDCs also may provide better reliability and performability with no additional hardware through the use of dynamic syndrome allocation. To do so, the middleware layers of SDDCs must be able to calculate and account for complex dependence relationships to determine an optimal data layout. This challenge is exacerbated by the growth of constraints on the dependence problem when available resources are both large (due to a higher number of syndromes that can be stored) and small (due to the lack of available space for syndrome allocation). We present a quantitative method for characterizing these challenges using an analysis of attack domains for high-dimension variants of the $n$-queens problem that enables performable solutions via the SMT solver Z3. We demonstrate correctness of our technique, and provide experimental evidence of its efficacy; our implementation is publicly available.

Abstract

The focus of this paper is to introduce a four step iterative algorithm, called A∗ iterative method, for approximating the fixed points of Suzuki generalized nonexpansive mappings. We prove analytically and numerically that our new iterative algorithm converges faster than some leading iterative algorithms in the literature for almost contraction mappings and Suzuki generalized nonexapansive mapping. Furthermore, we prove weak and strong convergence theorems of our new iterative method for Suzuki generalized nonexpansive mappings in uniformly convex Banach spaces. Again, we show analytically and numerically that our new iterative algorithm is G-stable and data dependent. Finally, to illustrate the applicability of our iterative method, we will find the solution of a functional Volterra-Fredholm integral equation with a deviating argument via our new iterative method. Hence, our results generalize and improve several well known results in the existing literature.

In this paper, we introduce a class of Suzuki-type contractive multivalued mappings and establish the existence of fixed points of such mappings in the setup of b-metric spaces. Some examples are presented to support the results proved herein. An estimate of Hausdorff distance between the fixed point sets of two Suzuki-type contractive multivalued mappings is obtained. Abstract

Among the fault localization methods of the coverage-based regression test cases, the ranking of suspiciousness degree is seriously impacted due to the existence of similar test cases, the existence of isolated treatment of each program entity and the coincidental correctness test cases as well as the poor quality of regression test cases, which reduces the efficiency of fault localization. This paper proposes a method that combines the control dependence and data dependence, test cases covering table and test result with vector angular cosine weight to solve the aforesaid problems. Experimental results show that the efficiency of the proposed fault localization of regression test cases is better than that of Tarantula, Jaccard, Ochiai, PPDG and CP methods. Abstract

Spectral-spatial processing has been increasingly explored in remote sensing hyperspectral image classification. While extensive studies have focused on developing methods to improve the classification accuracy, experimental setting and design for method evaluation have drawn little attention. In the scope of supervised classification, we find that traditional experimental designs for spectral processing are often improperly used in the spectral-spatial processing context, leading to unfair or biased performance evaluation. This is especially the case when training and testing samples are randomly drawn from the same image—a practice that has been commonly adopted in the experiments. Under such setting, the dependence caused by overlap between the training and testing samples may be artificially enhanced by some spatial information processing methods, such as spatial filtering and morphological operation. Such enhancement of dependence in return amplifies the classification accuracy, leading to an improper evaluation of spectral-spatial classification techniques. Therefore, the widely adopted pixel-based random sampling strategy is not always suitable to evaluate spectral-spatial classification algorithms, because it is difficult to determine whether the improvement of classification accuracy is caused by incorporating spatial information into classifier or by increasing the overlap between training and testing samples. To tackle this problem, we propose a novel controlled random sampling strategy for spectral-spatial methods. Abstract

In the present paper, we study the J-iterative scheme of Bhutia and Tiwary (J. Linear Topol. Algebra, 8(4), (2019), 237-250) in Kohlenbach hyperbolic space. We prove the weak w^2-stability and data dependence theorems of this iterative scheme for contraction mappings. We also give some △-convergence and strong convergence theorems for generalized α-nonexpansive mappings and finite families of total asymptotically nonexpansive mappings using J-iterative scheme. The results presented here can be viewed as a generalization of several well-known results in CAT(0) space and uniformly convex Banach space.
