Electroacupuncture (EA) is an effective traditional Chinese medicine treatment for PSD, which is widely used in clinical settings. EA has a significant therapeutic effect against PSD, but the mechanism is still unclear. This study aimed to determine whether EA ameliorates depression-like behaviors in PSD rats by regulating the adenosine 5’-monophosphate (AMP)-activated protein kinase (AMPK)-mediated mitochondrial function.Methods: Middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) and chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS) were used to develop a PSD rat model. To elucidate the role of AMPK in EA treatment, compound C, a selective inhibitor of AMPK, was injected into the lateral ventricle of rats before EA treatment. EA treatment was performed for 14 consecutive days for 30 min per day after PSD modeling. A modified Zea-Longa five-point scale scoring system was used to determine neurologic function in MCAO rats. Behavioral tests were conducted to evaluate depression-like phenotypes in rats. Depression-like behaviors were tested by sucrose preference test (SPT), novelty suppressed feeding test (NSFT), and open-field test (OFT). The structure and morphology of the prefrontal cortex were observed by histopathological hematoxylin-eosin (HE) and Nissl staining. The mitochondrial morphology and function were analyzed by colorimetry, chemiluminescence, Western blotting, and quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR).Results: EA treatment successfully ameliorated depression-like behaviors, upregulated AMPK expression, and improved mitochondrial function. However, AMPK inhibition by Compound C exacerbated depression-like behaviors and aggravated neuronal and mitochondrial injury in PSD rats.Conclusion: EA treatment improved depression-like behaviors in PSD rats and promoted mitochondrial function by activating AMPK.Keywords: electroacupuncture, post-stroke depression, mitochondria, AMPK

This paper explores the use of spatiotemporal geographic information and advanced technology to effectively address the issue of poverty reduction and development. The focus is on Hebei Province, where multi-dimensional poverty identification and spatiotemporal evolution analysis are conducted using nighttime light remote sensing data. The study establishes a Multi-dimensional Poverty Index (MPI) system based on the regional average nighttime light index (ANLI) extracted from data spanning 2010, 2014, and 2018. A coupled regression model confirms the correlation between MPI and ANLI. Visualization and analysis are performed using GIS technology, Moran's I, and Getis's G* to interpret the identification results. From the experimental results, MPI established in this paper fits well with ANLI, which can be used for poverty identification and monitoring. The established multi-dimensional poverty model can identify multi-dimensional poverty counties better. However, there is a large discrepancy in the match with the traditional list of poor counties issued by the state from the perspective of absolute economic poverty. From the perspective of spatiotemporal evolution, it can be seen that the overall poverty level in Hebei Province has changed with time. Although there is aggregation among poverty areas, the aggregation is not deep. The poverty level of the traditional national-level poor counties has also been reduced, but the pattern of poverty aggregation remains unchanged. The "C-shaped" poverty belt around Beijing formed by Chengde, Zhangjiakou, Baoding and other surrounding counties in northern Hebei Province is still the focus of poverty alleviation work in the next stage.

It is urgent to improve the sensitivity of radioresistant tumors to radiotherapy. In this work, gadolinium oxide nanocrystals (GONs) were utilized as radiosensitizers to enhance the killing effect and reinforce the immune activation of X-ray irradiation on 4T1 breast cancer cells in vitro and in vivo.Methods: 1.0 T small animal MR imaging (MRI) system was employed to trace GONs in vivo, while 225 kVp X-ray irradiation equipment was utilized for investigating the radiosensitization of GONs in 4T1 breast cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. Western blot, quantitative real-time PCR (RT-qPCR), immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, clonal survival assay, flow cytometry and reactive oxygen species assay were used to explore the biological mechanism of GON sensitization.Results: GONs exhibited exceptional utility as contrast agents for both in vivo and in vitro MRI imaging. Interestingly, a single dose of 8.0 Gy X-rays together with GONs failed to confer superior therapeutic effects in tumor-bearing mice, while only 3.0 Gy × 3 fractions X-rays combined with GONs exhibited effective tumor growth inhibition. Moreover, fractionated X-ray irradiation with GONs demonstrated a superior capacity to activate the cGAS-STING pathway.Discussion: Fractionated X-ray irradiation in the presence of GONs has demonstrated the most significant activation of the anti-tumor immune response by boosting the cGAS-STING pathway. Recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA) is sensitive and specific and can be conducted at a constant low temperature with a short response time, making it especially suitable for on-site screening and making it a powerful tool for preventing or controlling the spread of zoonoses. This review summarizes the design principles of RPA-based biosensors as well as various signal output or readout technologies involved in fluorescence detection, lateral flow assays, enzymatic catalytic reactions, spectroscopic techniques, electrochemical techniques, chemiluminescence, nanopore sequencing technologies, microfluidic digital RPA, and clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats/CRISPR-associated systems. The current status and prospects of the application of RPA-based biosensors in zoonoses screening are highlighted. RPA-based biosensors demonstrate the advantages of rapid response, easy-to-read result output, and easy implementation for on-site detection, enabling development toward greater portability, automation, and miniaturization. Although there are still problems such as high cost with unstable signal output, RPA-based biosensors are increasingly becoming one of the most important means of on-site pathogen screening in complex samples involving environmental, water, food, animal, and human samples for controlling the spread of zoonotic diseases. The severity of emphysema was evaluated by determining the mean linear intercept (MLI) and destructive index (DI) from lung sections. The proportions of myeloid dendritic cells (mDCs) and Th1, Th17, and Treg cells in the blood, spleen, and lungs were determined via flow cytometry. The levels of the cytokines interleukin (IL)-6, IL-17, interferon (IFN)-γ, and transforming growth factor (TGF)-β were detected via enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Ifnγ, IL17a, Rorγt and Foxp3 transcription levels were detected via polymerase chain reaction.Results: CD40+ mDCs accumulated in the lungs of EP-stimulated mice. Blocking the CD40-CD40L pathway with an anti-CD40 antibody alleviated Th1 and Th17 responses; increased the proportion of Treg cells; decreased MLI and DI; reduced the levels of cytokines IL-6, IL-17, and IFN-γ as well as the transcription levels of Ifnγ, IL17a, and Rorγt; and upregulated the expression of TGF-β and Foxp3.Conclusion: The CD40-CD40L pathway could play a critical role in Th1, Th17 and Treg cell dysregulation in EP-mediated emphysema and could be a potential therapeutic target.Keywords: elastin peptide, dendritic cell, Cluster of Differentiation 40, CD40, Th cell, emphysema

The differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in lung tissue between the two groups were identified by RNA-seq, and functional annotation and Gene Ontology (GO)/ Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway enrichment analyses were performed. The differential expression of the selected genes were verified using qRT‒PCR and immunohistochemistry (IHC).Results: EP group mice showed emphysema-like changes. The expression levels of 1159 genes in the EP group differed significantly (529 up-regulated and 630 down-regulated) from those in the NORMAL group. GO enrichment analysis showed that the DEGs were significantly enriched in the terms immune system, adaptive immune response, and phosphorylation, while KEGG pathway enrichment analysis showed that the DEGs were enriched mainly in the pathways cytokine‒cytokine receptor interaction, T-cell receptor signaling pathway, MAPK signaling pathway, Rap1 signaling pathway, endocytosis, chemokine signaling pathway, Th17 cell differentiation, and Th1 and Th2 cell differentiation. The differential expression of the selected DEGs were verified by qRT‒PCR and IHC, and the expression trends of these genes were consistent with those identified by RNA-seq.Conclusion: Emphysema may be related to the inflammatory response, immune response, immune regulation, oxidative stress injury, and other biological processes. The Bmp4-Smad-Hoxa5/Acvr2a signaling pathway may be involved in COPD/ emphysema occurrence and development.Keywords: emphysema, tobacco smoke, elastin peptide, RNA-seq, DEGs

The genetic data on NAFLD were analyzed by identifying differentially expressed genes (DEGs), associated pathways, co-expressed genetic networks, and gene set enrichment function. Concurrently, we assessed specific constitution distributions among local NAFLD patients through established TCM constitution models and determined the independent variable, including specific constitution to the NAFLD via the regression analyses.Results: The analyses on GEO datasets showed that simple steatosis in NAFLD is strongly associated with HOMA-insulin resistance (HOMA-IR). Analyses of GEO datasets revealed significantly altered genetic expression profiles between NAFLD and normal populations. For TCM constitution analyses, we demonstrated a decline in yin-yang harmony (YYH) and yang-asthenia (YAAC) constitution, whereas there was an increase in qi-stagnation (QSC) and phlegm-dampness (PDC) in NAFLD. The binary logistic regression analysis indicated that besides other metabolic parameters, YYH, qi asthenia (QAC), YYAC, and yin-asthenia (YAC) were the independent variables of NAFLD, while YAC was the independent variables of T2D. The multilinear regression analyses suggested that NAFLD, DM, BMI, waist, TC, TG, hypertension, ALT, AST, and YAC were the significant determinators of the FPG.Conclusion: This study presents a relatively comprehensive metabolic profile in steatosis of NAFLD, revealed by significant genetic expression feature alterations and different TCM constitution distribution in NAFLD. Through this method, the study intends to associate the genetic feature with the phenotype of TCM constitution. Despite the rapid increase in thyroid disease, there are few data on how well Chinese medical students master the knowledge of thyroid diseases. This study aims to evaluate the clinical knowledge, perception, and clinical communication confidence of medical students on thyroid cancer (TC).Patients and Methods: This cross-sectional study was carried out among medical students of Chongqing Medical University. An anonymous, self-administered questionnaire distributed from December 2022 to February 2023 included items on demographics and other information, the warning signs of cancer, perception regarding a person’s chance of developing cancer, and clinical communication confidence. Descriptive analysis, difference analysis, and correlation analysis were carried out.Results: A total of 226 medical students participated in the survey. Most students (n=191, 84.5%) had heard of TC, while only a few (n=10, 4.4%) regularly performed thyroid self-examination. One hundred and eighty-four students (81.4%) agreed that an unexplained lump or swelling could be a sign of cancer. There were significant differences in thyroid clinical knowledge in relation to gender (P< 0.001), major (P=0.026), and thyroid disease (P=0.030). Clinical communication confidence showed significant differences in year of study (P=0.002), major (P=0.048), and graduate major (P< 0.001). There was a correlation between clinical confidence and year of study (r=0.261, P< 0.001).Conclusion: Most medical students have sufficient clinical knowledge on TC prevention, but there are still misconceptions related to TC screening. In addition, medical students lack confidence in communicating with patients. Comprehensive communication training should be integrated into the medical curriculum and clinical activities should be initiated earlier.Keywords: thyroid cancer, cancer warning signs, clinical communication confidence, communication skills training, medical students

Health traits have high economic values in dairy cattle breeding, which can cause considerable financial loss through involuntary culling. In this study, fourteen health traits were analysed, including five composite health traits: reproductive disorders, udder health (UH), digestive disorders, metabolic disorders, locomotory diseases (LD), and nine independent health traits: gestation disorders and peripartum disorders, irregular estrus cycle and sterility, metritis (ME), mastitis (MA), abomasal displacement (AD), enteritis (EN), and ketosis, claw diseases (CD), laminitis complex. This study analysed variance components for health traits through both single and bivariate repeatability animal models. All health traits showed low heritability, ranging from 0.001 to 0.025. Most of the health traits in five categories showed negative genetic correlations, ranging from −0.012 (CD and EN) to −0.634 (ME and EN). Strong positive genetic correlations appeared within the same category, ranging from 0.469 (EN and AD) to 0.994 (UH and MA, LD and CD). Furthermore, approximate genetic correlations were evaluated between health traits and routinely collected traits (longevity, fertility, production, and conformation). In general, the low to moderate approximate genetic correlations were estimated between health traits and routinely collected traits. The estimated correlations between health traits and longevity, fertility, production, and conformation traits could provide an indirect reference for disease−resistance breeding in Holstein cattle.

We have used angle-dependent soft x-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) at the O K edge and first-principles calculations to investigate the electronic structures of iridate-based superlattices (SrIrO3)m/(SrTiO3) (m=1, 2, 3, and ∞). We focus on the pre-edge Ir 5d t2g-O 2p orbital hybridization feature in the XAS spectra. By varying the measurement geometry relative to the incident photon polarization, we are able to extract the dichroic contrast and observe the systematic increase in the anisotropy of Ir 5d orbitals as m decreases. First-principles calculations elucidate the orbital anisotropy coming mainly from the enhanced out-of-plane compression of IrO6 octahedra in the SrIrO3 layers that are adjacent to the inserted SrTiO3 layers. As m decreases, the increased volume fraction of these interfacial SrIrO3 layers and their contact with the SrTiO3 layers within the (SrIrO3)m/(SrTiO3) supercell lead to enhanced orbital anisotropy. Furthermore, the tilt and rotation of IrO6 octahedra are shown to be essential to understand the subtle orbital anisotropy in these superlattices, and constraining these degrees of freedom will give an incorrect trend. Our results demonstrate that the structural constraint from the inserted SrTiO3 layers, in addition to other electronic means such as polar interface and charge transfer, can serve as a knob to control the orbital degree of freedom in these iridate-based superlattices.

These versatile cells serve myriad functions, including the regulation of vascular tension and the management of hemostasis and thrombosis. Inflammation constitutes a cascade of biological responses incited by biological, chemical, or physical stimuli. While inflammation is inherently a protective mechanism, dysregulated inflammation can precipitate a host of vascular pathologies. ECs play a critical role in the genesis and progression of vascular inflammation, which has been implicated in the etiology of numerous vascular disorders, such as atherosclerosis, cardiovascular diseases, respiratory diseases, diabetes mellitus, and sepsis. Upon activation, ECs secrete potent inflammatory mediators that elicit both innate and adaptive immune reactions, culminating in inflammation. To date, no comprehensive and nuanced account of the research progress concerning ECs and inflammation in vascular-related maladies exists. Consequently, this review endeavors to synthesize the contributions of ECs to inflammatory processes, delineate the molecular signaling pathways involved in regulation, and categorize and consolidate the various models and treatment strategies for vascular-related diseases. At present, most countries have used DRGs to help medical institutions and doctors to treat patients more accurately, avoid the waste of medical resources, and improve treatment efficiency.Methods: The Web of Science database was searched to collect all relevant literature on DRGs from 2013 to 2022. The literature information was imported into CiteSpace, Vosviewer, and Histcite for data analysis and visualization of the results. Analyze the cooperative relationship among the countries, institutions, journals, and authors. The usage trend of keywords; Highlight the content of the cited articles.Results: The number of articles published in this decade was stable, and the number of citations in 2014 was the highest. The United States and Germany, as the first countries to use the DRGs system, are ahead of other countries in terms of the number and quality of articles. We have carried out content research on the articles with high citations, and summarized the application range of DRGs; classification method; advantages and disadvantages of the application. In general, the development trend of DRGs in foreign countries is to continuously optimize the classification method, expand the scope of application, and improve the application effect. These provide support and reference for the improvement of medical services and the perfection of the medical insurance system.Conclusion: The application of DRGs can improve the quality and efficiency of medical services, and reduce the waste of medical expenses. It can also promote the rational allocation of medical resources and the equity of medical services. Studies have revealed that a combination of crizotinib and EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) could be an effective treatment option for patients with sensitizing EGFR mutations and de novo or acquired MET amplification. Until now, there have been few reports of the response in patients harboring three mutations.Case Presentation: A patient was diagnosed with advanced lung adenocarcinoma harboring EGFR Del19, L858R mutation and METex14. She received osimertinib, and repeated imaging revealed further tumor progression. Sixty-six days later, combined treatment with osimertinib and crizotinib was initiated. Unfortunately, the patient succumbed to death at home after 17 days.Conclusion: This report firstly provided a lung adenocarcinoma patient with two common EGFR mutations (Del19 and L858R) and METex14. Spurred by the world’s attention to pollution emissions from commercial aero-engines, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has made more stringent emission regulations for civil aircraft engines, especially the NOx emission.This paper develops a Five-Point lean direct injection (LDI) combustor with three swirler schemes to reduce the emissions of commercial aircraft engines. The flowfield of the combustor is studied numerically. Moreover, the combustion efficiency and gaseous emissions in different inlet conditions and fuel ratios of the main stage (α) are studied experimentally. The corresponding results reveal that, under a fuel-air ratio (FAR) between 0.0130 and 0.0283 and an α value between 30% and 60%, the combustion efficiency is 99.18%, 98.83%, and 99.03% when the pilot stage works alone, and 99.69%, 99.23%, and 99.75% when the pilot and main stage work simultaneously. Furthermore, the experimental results suggest that the NOx emission decreases as α increases, demonstrating that the convergent swirler has a tremendous advantage in reducing NOx emissions over Venturi.

As a typical transition-metal chalcogenide material, molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) has received tremendous attention because of its unique layered structure and versatile chemical, electronic, and optical properties. With the focus of this Perspective on the energy storage area, one of the most important contributions of MoS2 is that it sparked the birth of the rechargeable lithium battery in the early 1980s, which later formed the foundation of commercial lithium batteries. After four decades, admitting that MoS2 is still playing a significant role in the lithium-ion battery field and considerable effort was made to decipher the mechanism through ex situ and in situ studies and by means of MoS2 nanostructure engineering that advances the lithium battery performance, it is also used in beyond lithium-ion batteries, such as sodium, magnesium, calcium, and aluminum energy storage systems. Such alternative battery systems are desirable because of the safety concerns of lithium and the depletion of lithium reserves and corresponding increase in cost. In this Perspective, recent development on the fabrication of novel MoS2 nanostructures was discussed, followed by the scrutinization of their application in beyond lithium-ion batteries and the in situ/operando methods involved in these studies. Finally, a brief summary and outlook that may help with the future advancement of the beyond lithium-ion batteries are presented.

The nearby radio galaxy M87 is a very high-energy (VHE) gamma-ray emitter established by observations with ground-based gamma-ray detectors. Here we report the long-term monitoring of M87 from 2021 to 2024 with the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO). M87 has been detected by LHAASO with a statistical significance ∼ 9 σ . The observed energy spectrum extends to 20 TeV, with a possible hardening at ∼20 TeV and then a clear softening at higher energies. Assuming that the intrinsic spectrum is described by a single power law up to 20 TeV, a tight upper bound on the extragalactic background light intensity is obtained. A strong VHE flare lasting 8 days, with a rise time of ${\tau }_{r}^{\mathrm{rise}}=1.05\pm 0.49$ days and decay time of ${\tau }_{d}^{\mathrm{decay}}=2.17\pm 0.58$ days, was found in early 2022. A possible GeV flare is seen also in Fermi Large Area Telescope data during the VHE flare period. The variability time as short as 1 day seen in the LHAASO data suggests a compact emission region with a size of ∼3 × 10 ^15 δ cm ( δ being the Doppler factor of the emitting region), corresponding to a few Schwarzschild radii of the central supermassive black hole in M87. The continuous monitoring of the source reveals a duty cycle of ∼1% for VHE flares with a flux above 10 ^−11 erg cm ^−2 s ^−1 .

The van der Waals (vdW) chromium trihalides (CrX3) exhibit field-tunable, two-dimensional magnetic orders that vary with the halogen species and the number of layers. Their magnetic ground states with proximity in energies are sensitive to the degree of ligand-metal (p-d) hybridization and relevant modulations in the Cr d-orbital interactions. We use soft X-ray absorption (XAS) and resonant inelastic X-ray scattering (RIXS) spectroscopy at Cr L-edge along with the atomic multiplet simulations to determine the key energy scales such as the crystal field 10 Dq and interorbital Coulomb interactions under different ligand metal charge transfer (LMCT) in CrX3 (X= Cl, Br, and I). Through this systematic study, we show that our approach compared to the literature has yielded a set of more reliably determined parameters for establishing a base Hamiltonian for CrX3.

In strongly correlated systems the strength of Coulomb interactions between electrons, relative to their kinetic energy, plays a central role in determining their emergent quantum mechanical phases. We perform resonant x-ray scattering on Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ, a prototypical cuprate superconductor, to probe electronic correlations within the CuO2 plane. We discover a dynamic quasi-circular pattern in the x-y scattering plane with a radius that matches the wave vector magnitude of the well-known static charge order. Along with doping- and temperature-dependent measurements, our experiments reveal a picture of charge order competing with superconductivity where short-range domains along x and y can dynamically rotate into any other in-plane direction. This quasi-circular spectrum, a hallmark of Brazovskii-type fluctuations, has immediate consequences to our understanding of rotational and translational symmetry breaking in the cuprates. We discuss how the combination of short- and long-range Coulomb interactions results in an effective non-monotonic potential that may determine the quasi-circular pattern.

Lithium-sulfur (Li–S) battery is one of the most promising candidates for the next generation energy storage systems. However, several barriers, including polysulfide shuttle effect, the slow solid-solid surface reaction pathway in the lower discharge plateau, and corrosion of Li anode still limit its practical applications, especially under the lean electrolyte condition required for high energy density. Here, we propose a solution-mediated sulfur reduction pathway to improve the capacity and reversibility of the sulfur cathode. With this method, a high coulombic efficiency (99%) and stable cycle life over 100 cycles were achieved under application-relevant conditions (S loading: 6.2 mg cm−2; electrolyte to sulfur ratio: 3 mLE gs−1; sulfur weight ratio: 72 wt%). This result is enabled by a specially designed Li2S4-rich electrolyte, in which Li2S is formed through a chemical disproportionation reaction instead of electrochemical routes. A single diglyme solvent was used to obtain electrolytes with the optimum range of Li2S4 concentration. Operando X-ray absorption spectroscopy confirms the solution pathway in a practical Li–S cell. This solution pathway not only introduces a new electrolyte regime for practical Li–S batteries, but also provides a new perspective for bypassing the inefficient surface pathway for other electrochemical processes.

The solvation shell structures of Ca2+ in aqueous and organic solutions probed by calcium L-edge soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) and DFT/MD simulations show the coordination number of Ca2+ to be negatively correlated with the electrolyte concentration and the steric hindrance of the solvent molecule. In this work, the calcium L-edge soft XAS demonstrates its sensitivity to the surrounding chemical environment. Additionally, the total electron yield (TEY) mode is surface sensitive because the electron penetration depth is limited to a few nanometers. Thus this study shows its implications for future battery studies, especially for probing the electrolyte/electrode interface for electrochemical reactions under in situ/operando conditions.

The capabilities of soft x-ray absorption (XAS), soft x-ray emission spectroscopy (XES), resonant inelastic soft x-ray scattering (RIXS), and their application to characterization of solar energy materials are presented. We have discussed some recent developments of in-situ soft x-ray spectroscopy cells, which enable the investigation of critical solid/liquid or solid/gas interfaces in chemical and electrochemical processes under real-world practical conditions. In particular, in-situ soft x-ray spectroscopies can be utilized to probe the formation of intermediate species, charge separation upon illumination of sunlight and electron transfer to the interfacial reactions. A number of examples using soft x-ray spectroscopies to study these solar energy and catalytic materials are discussed to demonstrate how these powerful characterization tools could be helpful to further understand the energy conversion and energy storage systems.

The search continues for nickel oxide-based materials with electronic properties similar to cuprate high-temperature superconductors1-10. The recent discovery of superconductivity in the doped infinite-layer nickelate NdNiO2 (refs. 11,12) has strengthened these efforts. Here, we use X-ray spectroscopy and density functional theory to show that the electronic structure of LaNiO2 and NdNiO2, while similar to the cuprates, includes significant distinctions. Unlike cuprates, the rare-earth spacer layer in the infinite-layer nickelate supports a weakly interacting three-dimensional 5d metallic state, which hybridizes with a quasi-two-dimensional, strongly correlated state with [Formula: see text] symmetry in the NiO2 layers. Thus, the infinite-layer nickelate can be regarded as a sibling of the rare-earth intermetallics13-15, which are well known for heavy fermion behaviour, where the NiO2 correlated layers play an analogous role to the 4f states in rare-earth heavy fermion compounds. This Kondo- or Anderson-lattice-like 'oxide-intermetallic' replaces the Mott insulator as the reference state from which superconductivity emerges upon doping.

Binary logistic regression analysis was used to identify risk factors for 90-day poor outcomes in patients with AECOPD. Receiver-operating characteristic curves (ROC) and areas under the curves (AUC) were used to assess the ability of different biomarkers to predict the risk of 90-day mortality, readmission and re-exacerbation in patients with AECOPD.Results: During the follow-up, 188 patients (38.4%) redeveloped exacerbations, 112 patients (22.9%) were readmitted, and 20 patients (4.1%) died directly resulted from COPD or COPD-related causes. Multivariate analysis demonstrated that age> 72 years (OR: 14.817, 95% CI: 1.561– 140.647), NLR> 14.17 (OR: 9.611, 95% CI: 2.303– 40.113), EOS< 0.15% (OR: 8.621, 95% CI: 3.465– 34.913) and BNP> 2840ng/L (OR: 5.291, 95% CI: 1.367– 20.474) at discharge were independent risk factors for 90-day mortality in AECOPD patients. NLR was the optimal biomarker for predicting 90-day mortality with an AUC of 0.802 (95% CI: 0.631– 0.973). Using 14.17 as the critical value of NLR, the sensitivity was 76.7%, and the specificity was 88.9%. Compared with mortality, NLR had no significant advantage in predicting risk of short-term re-exacerbation (AUC=0.580, 95% CI:0.529– 0.632, p=0.001) and readmission (AUC=0.555, 95% CI:0.497– 0.614, p=0.045), with AUCs less than 0.6. In contrast, the predictive value of EOS (AUC=0.561, 95% CI:0.502– 0.621, p=0.038) was slightly better than NLR in terms of readmission within 90 days. The perceived organizational support (POS) and psychological capital (PsyCap) might be important factors influencing ICNs’ work engagement. Moreover, PsyCap might play a mediating role in the relationship between POS and work engagement.Objective: This study aims to clarify the relationships among POS, PsyCap and work engagement of Chinese ICNs.Methods: A cross-sectional design was performed to collect data on 7382 ICNs from 20 provinces in China. Data collection was conducted by an online questionnaire, including questions about demographics, the Chinese version of the Utrecht work engagement scale (UWES), the Chinese version of the psychological capital questionnaire (PCQ) and the perceived organizational support scale for medical staff. Univariate analysis, the Spearman correlation method and the mediating effect test were conducted.Results: The work engagement was at a relatively high level, with a total score of 80.87 ± 14.95. The total scores of POS and PsyCap scale were 41.45 ± 7.37 and 89.14 ± 9.06 respectively, both of which were at the upper-middle level. Work engagement was positively associated with both POS and PsyCap (both P< 0.01). Furthermore, the mediating effect of PsyCap on the relationship between POS and work engagement was 0.394, the total effect was 0.443, and the ratio of mediating effect to total effect was 88.94%.Conclusion: The findings suggest that both POS and PsyCap can directly increase the work engagement of the Chinese ICNs. Besides, POS can indirectly improve work engagement, partially through PsyCap. By means of bibliometric analysis, this paper studied the relevant articles on drug repositioning in recent years and analyzed the current research foci and trends.Methodology: The Web of Science database was searched to collect all relevant literature on drug repositioning from 2001 to 2022. These data were imported into CiteSpace and bibliometric online analysis platforms for bibliometric analysis. The processed data and visualized images predict the development trends in the research field.Results: The quality and quantity of articles published after 2011 have improved significantly, with 45 of them cited more than 100 times. Articles posted by journals from different countries have high citation values. Authors from other institutions have also collaborated to analyze drug rediscovery. Keywords found in the literature include molecular docking (N=223), virtual screening (N=170), drug discovery (N=126), machine learning (N=125), and drug-target interaction (N=68); these words represent the core content of drug repositioning.Conclusion: The key focus of drug research and development is related to the discovery of new indications for drugs. Researchers are starting to retarget drugs after analyzing online databases and clinical trials. More and more drugs are being targeted at other diseases to treat more patients, based on saving money and time. We present experimental demonstration and modeling of mechanical wave propagation in a quasi-one-dimensional (quasi-1D) phononic crystal (PnC) waveguide (WG) constructed from a periodic array of single-crystal cubic-silicon carbide (3C-SiC) coupled micromechanical resonators, with an exceptional dynamic range exceeding 92 dB. The PnC design comprises 50 periodic cells, enabling the propagation of flexural mechanical waves in high-frequency and very-high-frequency bands, featuring a broad PnC bandgap spanning approximately 24–27.5 MHz. Furthermore, the 3C-SiC PnC WG exhibits excellent characteristics, including a high group velocity of 350 m/s and a low transmission loss of 0.69 dB/mm, enabling efficient guidance and support for mechanical waves across extended distances before reaching the noise level of the device. These attributes of the PnC WG, as demonstrated in this study, may open possibilities for the development of device platforms with applications in on-chip signal processing, sensing, and quantum transducer technologies.
