The application of big data technology in the field of indoor environment can be expected to achieve creative control. A feasible application is the data fusion of temperature, humidity, CO 2 concentration, illuminance, and video to achieve novel control for air-conditioners (AC), outdoor air handling units (OAHU), and luminaires. This paper proposed a predictive control method for indoor environment using occupant number detected by combining video data and CO 2 concentration. The occupant numbers detected by video data and CO 2 concentration are inter-calibrated to improve the detection accuracy. The predictive control based on occupant number can achieve faster response, more stable indoor environment and energy saving as well compared with traditional control of indoor environment without using the information of occupant number change. Simulation and experimental studies were conducted to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the predictive control based on occupant number. Results show that with regard to the experimental conditions the predictive control can save OAHU energy consumption by 85.2% and total energy consumption of AC and OAHU by 39.4%. Through experiments and simulation, it is verified that the proposed occupancy-based predictive control is a promising technique to save energy consumed by heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) system while ensuring thermal comfort and indoor air quality. Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is a highly prevalent tumor and is associated with ethnicity, genetics, and dietary intake. Non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs), specifically microRNAs (miRNAs), long ncRNAs (lncRNAs), and circular RNAs (circRNAs) have been reported as functional regulatory molecules involved in the development of many human cancers, including ESCC. Recently, several ncRNAs have been detected as oncogenes or tumor suppressors in ESCC progression. These ncRNAs influence the expression of specific genes or their associated signaling pathways. Moreover, interactions of ncRNAs are evident in ESCC, as miRNAs regulate the expression of lncRNAs, and further, lncRNAs and circRNAs function as miRNA sponges to compete with the endogenous RNAs. Here, we discuss and summarize the findings of recent investigations into the role of ncRNAs (miRNAs, lncRNAs, and circRNAs) in the development and progression of ESCC and how their interactions regulate ESCC development. Three Finite Volume schemes are proposed in this note to satisfy the maximum principle for the mass fraction $y$, solution of an unsteady balance equation, including a relative velocity between phases and a source term. The continuous maximum principle is examined first. Then, linear implicit discrete schemes are detailed in a multi-dimensional and unstructured framework.

Solid polymer electrolytes suffer from the polymer-dominated Li + solvation structure, causing unstable electrolyte/electrode interphases and deteriorated battery performance. Here, we design a class of selectively fluorinated aromatic lithium salts (SFALS) as single conducting lithium salts to regulate the solvation structure and interfacial chemistry for all-solid-state lithium metal batteries. By tuning the anionic structure, the Li + -polyether coupling is weakened, and the Li + -anion coordination is enhanced. The hydrogen bonding between the SFALS and polymer matrix induces a special "triad"-type solvation structure, which improves the electrolyte homogeneity and mechanical strength, and promotes the formation of an ultrathin and robust Li 2 O-rich solid electrolyte interphase. Therefore, the stable cycling of more than 1650 cycles (Coulombic efficiency, 99.8%) for LiFePO 4 /Li half cells and 580 cycles (97.4% capacity retention) for full cells is achieved. This molecular engineering strategy could inspire further advancements of functional lithium salts for practical application of all-solid-state lithium metal batteries.

Tumor vaccines, a type of personalized tumor immunotherapy, have developed rapidly in recent decades. These vaccines evoke tumor antigen-specific T cells to achieve immune recognition and killing of tumor cells. Because the immunogenicity of tumor antigens alone is insufficient, immune adjuvants and nanocarriers are often required to enhance anti-tumor immune responses. At present, vaccine carrier development often integrates nanocarriers and immune adjuvants. Among them, outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) are receiving increasing attention as a delivery platform for tumor vaccines. OMVs are natural nanovesicles derived from Gram-negative bacteria, which have adjuvant function because they contain pathogen associated molecular patterns. Importantly, OMVs can be functionally modified by genetic engineering of bacteria, thus laying a foundation for applications as a delivery platform for tumor nanovaccines. Two dimensional intrinsic ferromagnetic semiconductors with controllable magnetic phase transition are highly desirable for spintronics. Nevertheless, reports on their successful experimental realization are still rare. Herein, based on first principles calculations, we propose to achieve such a functional material, namely CrSbS 3 monolayer by exfoliating from its bulk crystal. Intrinsic CrSbS 3 monolayer is a ferromagnetic half semiconductor with a moderate bandgap of 1.90 eV. It features an intriguing magnetic phase transition from ferromagnetic to antiferromagnetic when applying a small compressive strain (∼2%), making it ideal for fabricating strain-controlled magnetic switches or memories. In addition, the predicted strong anisotropic absorption of visible light and small effective masses make the CrSbS 3 monolayer promising for optoelectronic applications.

Farnesoid X receptor (FXR), a member of the nuclear receptor family, is a common receptor found in the intestine and liver, and helps to maintain systemic metabolic homeostasis through regulating bile acid, glucose, lipid metabolism, and energy homeostatsis. In addition, FXR regulates the functions of various organs, such as liver, intestine, kidney, breast, pancreas, cardiovascular system and brain. FXR also plays a key role in regulation of gut-microbiota through mediating the various signaling pathways. Accordingly, FXR has become an attractive therapeutic target in a variety of diseases. This review combines classical and recent research reports to introduce the basic information about FXR and its important roles in various organs of the body.

Endometrial carcinoma (EC) is one of the most common malignancies of female reproductive tract in developed countries. MicroRNA is frequently dysregulated in human cancers and acts a key regulator role in tumor cell growth and metastasis. The aims of this study were to investigate the roles of microRNA-184 (miR-184) in EC cells and to identify its potential molecular mechanism. Here, the data revealed that miR-184 was significantly downregulated in human EC tissue compared with normal endometrial tissue, and the level of miR-184 expression was associated with lymph node metastasis and prognosis in patients with EC. In vitro assays, overexpression of miR-184 could suppress the proliferation and invasion of HEC-1B and RL95-2 cells. Moreover, bioinformatics analysis showed that cell division cycle 25A (CDC25A) was a putative target gene of miR-184. Dual luciferase reporter assay confirmed that miR-184 significantly downregulated CDC25A expression via directly interaction with the putative binding site in the 3'-untranslated region (3'-UTR) of CDC25A mRNA. Interestingly, knockdown of CDC25A resulted in inhibition of HEC-1B and RL95-2 cells growth and invasion. Mechanistic investigation revealed that downregulation of the Notch receptors (NOTCH1, NOTCH2, NOTCH3 and NOTCH4) and target gene HES1 by miR-184 could be reversed by CDC25A overexpression. In summary, our data demonstrate that CDC25A is a target gene of miR-184 in EC cells, and decreased expression of miR-184 suppresses the growth and invasion of EC cells via CDC25A-dependent Notch signaling pathway, suggesting that miR-184 may be a promising target for a new therapeutic strategy against EC., Competing Interests: None.
