Background/aim: Remdesivir, which was first developed for the treatment of Ebola disease but failed to meet expectations, has become hope in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aimed to evaluate risk factors for mortality and prognosis of adult moderate/severe COVID-19 patients treated with remdesivir, and safety and tolerability of 5 days of remdesivir treatment. Materials and methods: This multicenter prospective observational study was conducted in 14 centers in Turkey. Pregnancy or breastfeeding, multiorgan failure, or usage of vasopressors for septic shock, ALT>5 x the upper limit of the normal range, or eGRF, Health Institutes of Turkey [COVID-19-PMSRMD], Health Institutes of Turkey (Project ID: COVID-19-PMSRMD).

Copyright © 2021 by Türkiye KlinikleriObjective: Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common psychiatric disorders of childhood, characterized by difficulties in academic field, peer relationships and family life. The aim of this study is to determine the strategies for coping with stress in adolescents diagnosed with ADHD and to evaluate the relationship between the coping strategies they used and the problems they encounter in daily life. Material and Methods: The sample of the study consists of patients with ADHD (n=40) between the ages of 12-17 and a healthy control group (n=26). As data collection tools; sociodemographic data form, Conners-Wells adolescent self-report scale long form and coping strategies short form were used. Results: It was determined that dysfunctional coping total scores were higher in the ADHD group than the control group. When the subscales were examined, it was determined that the denial and behavioral disengagement subscale scores were significantly higher in the ADHD group. Planning was found to be lower in the ADHD group. With the emotionally centered coping score/revealing emotions method, the total scores of family problems, ADHD Index, Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition (DSM-IV) Hyperactivity/Impulsivity and DSM-IV were positive and moderate; A positive, high-intensity relationship was found between emotional problems. Conclusion: It was concluded that adolescents diagnosed with ADHD used more emotionally focused and dysfunctional coping strategies compared to the control group, and the relationship between the coping methods used and symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity was different from each other.

Araştırma konusuna kaynak olan eser, Amerika Birleşik Devletleri Ulusal Arşivi (National Archives And Records Administration) yayını olan “A Visual History 1940 - 1963: Political Cartoons By Clifford Berryman And Jim Berryman” adlı eserdir. Bu kitap dönemin iki ünlü karikatür sanatçısının, Clifford Berryman - Jim Berryman, çizdiği 70 karikatür ile ABD perspektifinden dönemin Amerikan self-imajını konu almaktadır. Amerikan imajını görsel tarih materyali aracılığıyla incelemek istediğimizde; çok sayıda karikatürün yer aldığı bu eser, araştırmamız için ideal bir kaynak olmaktadır. Anılan bu eser, iki Amerikalı artistin kaleminden, dünya tarihine damgasını vuran bir dizi radikal değişimin yaşandığı dönemin panoramasını yansıtmaktadır. Bu açıdan, Amerika’nın dünyaya sunduğu self-imajı incelemek isteyen araştırmacıların çalışmalarında değerlendirebileceği iyi bir veri koleksiyonunu bize sunmaktadır. Yüzyıllar geçtikçe, insandaki görsel algının sürekli geliştiği ve değişime uğradığı gözlemlenmektedir. Başlangıçta mağara duvarlarına çizilen resimler gibi, görsel olan tarihi verilerin yazının icadıyla geri planda kaldığı, matbaanın icadıyla neredeyse gözden düştüğü görülmektedir. Görselliğin öneminin giderek artırmasıyla birlikte, tarihe veri olan malzemelerin de zaman içerisinde giderek arttığı ve görselliğin kendine yeni alanlar açarak, kaynak ve metotlar bulmaya yöneldiği görülmektedir. Her olayın görsel bir nüshasının da kaydedildiği günümüzde, giderek daha geniş̧ bir tarihi veri yelpazesi oluşmakta, tarih araştırmacıları da bu kaynaktan en ileri düzeyde istifade etmenin yollarını aramaktadır.

The Prophet understood the Qur'an that was revealed to him and explained it to those around him. In the activity of the communiqué, he narrated the Qur’an to sahabah and Sahabah they tried to learn and preserve it with determination and diligence. These statements of the Prophet about the Qur’an are the obligatory part of the tafseer. The companions (Sahabah), who passed on his education, asked him about the things they did not understand and received various answers to them. The exegesis of the messenger of Allah was mostly in the form of restricting non-restricted (taqyed al-mutlaq), expounding of vague (tavdîh al-mubham) and explaining ambiguity (tabyin al-mujmal).Companions who witnessed the exegesis of the Prophet received information about these subjects from him. After his death, they tried to solve the problems they faced and to understand the Qur'an in this direction by adopting these issues regarding the uloom-al-Qur'an as a principle. These activities of understanding and their leading attitude have been the source of the uloom al-Qur'an. The questions asked by the companions about the Qur'an were asked in the next periods and answers were tried to be found for them. This has acce-lerated the birth and development of uloom al-Qur'ân in history. In this article, the contribution of the Sahabah to uloom al-Qur'an will be discussed under some topics; the health of the narrations related to this source will not be taken into account as they are covered by another research., Hz. Peygamber kendisine indirilen Kur’ân’ı anlamış ve etrafındakilere bunu anlatmıştır. Tebliğ faaliyetin-de Kur’ân’ı sahabeye aktarmış, onlar da azim ve gayretle öğrenmeye ve onu muhafaza etmeye çalışmış-lardır. Hz. Peygamberin Kur’ân hakkındaki bu açıklamaları tefsirin bağlayıcı olan kısmıdır. Onun rahle-i tedrisinden geçen sahabe, anlamadıkları konuları ona soruyordu ve bunlara çeşitli cevaplar alıyordu. Re-sulullah’ın tefsiri daha çok mutlakı takyid, mücmeli tebyin, müşkili tavzih müphemi tafsil şeklinde gerçek-leşmiştir. Hz. Peygamberin tefsirine şahitlik eden sahabe ondan bu konularla ilgili bilgileri almışlardır. Onun vefatından sonra da ulûmu’l-Kur’ân ile ilgili bu hususları ilke edinerek karşılaştıkları problemleri çözmeye ve Kur’ân’ı bu doğrultuda anlamaya çalışmışlardır. Söz konusu anlama faaliyetleri, onların bu öncü tavırları ulûmu’l-Kur’ân’a kaynaklık teşkil etmiştir. Sahabenin Kur’ân hakkında sorduğu sorular, sonraki devirlerde de sorulmuş, onlara cevaplar bulunmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu, tarihte ulûmu’l-Kur’ân ilmi-nin doğuşuna ve gelişimine hız vermiştir. Bu makalede, sahabenin ulûmu’l-Kur’ân ilmine katkıları bazı başlıklar altında ele alınacak; bu kaynaklığa ilişkin rivayetlerin sıhhati ile ilgili hususlar başka bir araştırma-nın kapsamına girdiğinden dikkate alınmayacaktır.
