We investigate coherence resonance of corporate finance in a stochastic predator-prey model for creditors and producers. The stochastic predator-prey model with only considering financial risk and the Integral method of an improvement parameter estimation are proposed. Then the coefficient of variation (CV) of the interspike intervals is used to measure the phenomenon of coherence resonance. The simulating and empirical results indicate that (i) the phenomenon peak death is induced by higher noise strength and system parameters; (ii) the phenomenons of coherence and anti-coherence resonance are observed in the function of CV vs. noise strength; (iii) the critical phenomenon of resonance enhancement and inhibition is induced by some values of system parameters. In addition, a good agreement can be found between theoretical results and real financial data of Chinese companies.

BACKGROUND As the third most abundant element, aluminum is widespread in the environment. Previous studies have shown that aluminum has a neurotoxic effect and its exposure can impair neuronal development and cognitive function. AIM To study the effects of aluminum on epigenetic modification in neural stem cells and neurons. METHODS Neural stem cells were isolated from the forebrain of adult mice. Neurons were isolated from the hippocampi tissues of embryonic day 16-18 mice. AlCl3 at 100 and 200 μmol/L was applied to stem cells and neurons. RESULTS Aluminum altered the differentiation of adult neural stem cells and caused apoptosis of newborn neurons while having no significant effects on the proliferation of neural stem cells. Aluminum application also significantly inhibited the dendritic development of hippocampal neurons. Mechanistically, aluminum exposure significantly affected the levels of DNA 5-hydroxy-methylcytosine, 5-methylcytosine, and N6-methyladenine in stem cells and neurons. CONCLUSION Our findings indicate that aluminum may regulate neuronal development by modulating DNA modifications.

Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is relatively sensitive to ionizing radiation, and radiotherapy is the main treatment modality for non-metastatic NPC. Radiation therapy generates overproduction of reactive oxygen species (ROS), which can cause DNA damage and induce apoptosis in tumors, thereby killing the malignant cells. Although dietary antioxidant supplementation reduces oxidative stress and promotes tumor progression, the effects of antioxidants on the NPC cells upon radiation have not been reported. In the present study, we showed that antioxidants (β-Carotene, NAC, GSH) played an anti-apoptotic role in response to radiation via decreasing ROS production and inhibiting MAPK pathway in NPC cells. Based on that, we conclude that the use of supplemental antioxidants during radiotherapy should be avoided because of the possibility of tumor protection and reduced treatment efficacy.

Burden distribution plays a crucial role in controlling gas flow distribution and achieving the stability operation of the melter gasifier in COREX. This work presents a coupled DEM-CFD study on burden formation and gas injection of a COREX melter gasifier (MG), mainly focusing on the effects of inclination angle and shape of the DRI-flaps. A one-eighth MG was simulated and compared with the experimental results. The burdens were analysed in terms of particle segregation index and particle distribution index. It was observed that the particles were unevenly distributed in the circumferential directions. This phenomenon was further enhanced with decreasing flap inclination angles as the burden stream became wider and more separated with decreasing inclination angle. To reduce the uneven distribution of particles, flap shapes were changed. It was observed that the thickness of burden piles was proportional to the area of the flaps. The Arc-shape flap, with a medium size of cross-sectional area, was able to control the uniform distribution of DRI particle and formed a uniform pressure distribution in the circumferential direction. The study shows the importance of flaps to maintain the uniform pressure distribution in the circumferential direction of burden beds for stable operation of the melter gasifier.

In this article, closed-form solutions are obtained for vibrations of a magneto-electro-elastic beam with variable cross section. Based on Timoshenko beam assumptions, governing equation for the non-uniform beam with exponentially varying width is obtained. Laplace transform approach applied to the governing equation results in the corresponding Green’s functions for the beams with various boundary conditions. The equations, which are solved to obtain Green’s functions, are degenerated for the analyses of the characters of free vibration. For free vibrations of the beams under different mechanical boundary conditions, the effects of the non-uniformly cross-sectional parameters and magneto-electric boundary conditions on the dynamic characters are studied. In addition, the magneto-electric potential modal variables’ distributions through the thickness are presented. In the discussions of forced vibration, two points in the beam are selected to investigate frequency responses in terms of displacement and magneto-electric potential. Moreover, the influences of excitation frequency and cross-sectional parameter on through-the-thickness distributions of electric potentials are investigated.

We explore the herd behavior of stock prices influenced by the time delay in a finance system with the delayed Heston model. On the basis of a Bayesian approach for delayed Heston model that we proposed and parameter Bayesian estimation, we simulate the absolute deviation between mean residence time of positive and negative returns to characterize the herd behavior. In the plots of absolute deviation against the mean reversion long-run variance of volatility or cross correlation between two Wiener processes of stock price and volatility, the results demonstrate an increasing phenomenon of herd behavior with increasing delay time. In the plot of absolute deviation against the amplitude of volatility fluctuations, the result indicates an optimal delay time matching minimum herd behavior, i.e., the time delay restrains the herd behavior. Also, the optimal mean reversion long-run variance of volatility and cross correlation concerning minimum herd behavior can be observed.

Solid electrolyte with stable and fast Na+ ionic conductivity is of central importance in the development of all-solid-state sodium batteries. Here we present a novel Na+ conductor based on complex hydrides with composition of Na3NH2B12H12. It exhibits remarkable thermal stability up to 593 K and excellent electrochemical stable window up to 10 V (vs. Na+/Na). It demonstrates a high Na+ conductivity of 1.0 × 10−4 S cm-1 at a temperature of 372 K, which is much higher than those of its precursors NaNH2 and Na2B12H12. All-solid-state Na-ion batteries were constructed by employing the obtained Na3NH2B12H12 as electrolyte, TiS2 as cathode and sodium foil as anode, which can reversibly discharge/charge for over 200 cycles with more than 50% capacity retention at temperature of 353 K and a rate of 0.1 C. This work opens the gate to develop advanced solid electrolytes via combination of metal amides with closo borates.

We investigate the discrete nonlinear Schrodinger model with helicoidal hopping and a power-law nonlinearity, motivated by the tunable nonlinearity in the model of DNA chain and ultra-cold atoms trapped in a helix-shaped optical trap. In the study of modulational instability, we find a successive destabilization along with increasing nonlinear-power. In particular, the critical amplitudes of second-stage instability decrease as nonlinear-power increases. Furthermore, it is shown that information on the stability properties of weakly localized solutions can be inferred from the plane-wave modulational instability results. This link enable us to analytically estimate the critical parameters at which the breather solutions turn unstable, and find these parameters are dramatically influenced by the nonlinear-power. The stability properties of localized breathers perform an obvious change when the nonlinear power crosses a critical value γ c r . It is reflected that at weak nonlinearity the breathers exhibit monostability, while exceeding γ c r the bistability and instability will set in. The interplay between nonlinear-power and long-range hopping on the stability properties of breathers is also discussed in detail.

Burden distribution plays an important role in achieving high stability and energy efficiency in the COREX melter gasifier. In this work, a 1/7.5 scale experimental apparatus is established to investigate the burden distribution under the independent and mixed charging conditions. The effects of GIMBAL distributor angle, rotational speed, DRI-flap angle, and charging pattern on these charging conditions are investigated. The results show that the non-uniform distribution of pellet in circumferential direction is intrinsic to the discharge system due to the shape of the DRI flap. The charging pattern has a significant impact on the ore-to-coal volume ratio and bed voidage. The ore-to-coal volume ratio reaches the peak at 550 to 650 mm, indicating that the reduction burden near the wall is heavier than that in the center. The voidage in the middle region is smaller than that of the center and near-wall region. The results also reveal the size segregation along the radial direction of the burden pile. The smaller particles tend to accumulate in the center while the larger ones segregate more near the wall. The findings obtained from experiments should be helpful for the efficient operation of the COREX melter gasifier.

In a complex financial system, what is the forecasting performance of macro and micro evolution models of Econophysics on asset prices? For this problem, from the perspective of machine learning, we study the dynamic forecasting and liquidity assessment of financial markets, based on econophysics and Bayesian methods. We establish eight dynamic prediction methods, based on our proposed likelihood estimation and Bayesian estimation methods of macro and micro evolution models of econophysics. Combined machine learning thinking and real data, we empirically study and simulate the out-of-sample dynamic forecasting analysis of eight proposed methods and compare with the benchmark GARCH model. A variety of loss functions, superior predictive ability test (SPA), Akaike and Bayesian information criterion (AIC and BIC) methods are introduced to further evaluate the forecasting performance of our proposed methods. The research of out of sample prediction shows that (1) the method of the simplified stochastic model with Bayesian method for only sample return has the best forecasting performance; (2) the method of the stochastic model with Bayesian method for only return samples has the worst forecasting performance. For the liquidity assessment problem, there is a strong correlation between the trading probability evaluated by the proposed eight methods and the real turnover rate, and an increase of liquidity is correspond to the increase of asset risk. In other words, it suggests that all proposed methods can well evaluate market liquidity.

Aims. The prognostic value of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations in the context of serum carcinoembryonic antigen levels remains controversial in T1 lung adenocarcinoma. Methods. Clinical and pathological characteristics, preoperational carcinoembryonic antigen levels, EGFR mutations, and disease-free and overall survival were analysed retrospectively in 573 pathological T1 patients in East China. Results. EGFR mutations were detected in 220 of 573 patients (38.4%). Patients with serum carcinoembryonic antigen levels ≥ 2.12 ng/mL had worse disease-free (P<0.001) and overall survival (P<0.001) than had others, although survival was comparable between patients with and without EGFR mutations. However, patients with exon 21 mutations in EGFR had significantly better overall survival than had patients with exon 19 mutations (P=0.016), although disease-free survival was comparable (P=0.424). Among patients with serum carcinoembryonic antigen levels ≥ 2.12 ng/mL, disease-free (P=0.019) and overall survival (P<0.001) was also better than that in those with exon 21 mutations. Finally, the exon 19 deletion was found to be an independent predictor of unfavourable overall survival (P=0.037). Conclusions. EGFR mutations were associated with preoperational serum carcinoembryonic antigen levels ≥ 2.12 ng/mL. In patients with levels above this threshold, those with the exon 19 deletion have less favourable prognosis than have those with the exon 21 mutation.

We theoretically stochastically simulate and empirically analyze the escape process of stock market price non-equilibrium dynamics under the influence of GARCH and ARCH effects, and explore the impact of ARCH and GARCH effects on stock market stability. Based on the nonlinear GARCH model of econophysics, and combined with GARCH and ARCH effects of volatility, we propose a delay stochastic monostable potential model. We use the mean escape time, or mean hitting time, as an indicator for measuring price stability, as first introduced in Valenti D. et al., Phys. Rev. E, 97 (2018) 062307. Based on the comparative analysis of actual Chinese A-share data, the theoretical and empirical findings of this paper are as follows: 1) The theoretical simulation results and actual data are consistent. 2) There exist optimal GARCH and ARCH effects maximally enhancing stock market stability.

Background and purpose Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an autoimmune disease caused by antibody mediated impairment in the neuromuscular junction. Seronegative MG (SNMG) without antibodies against acetylcholine receptor (AChR) and muscle-specific kinase (MuSK) by routine assays accounts for about 20% of all MG patients. Methods Plasma from 81 Chinese MG patients previously found to be seronegative was tested by routine assays for AChR and MuSK antibodies. These samples were screened by (i) a novel, highly sensitive radioimmunoassay for AChR antibodies; (ii) cell-based assays for clustered AChR, MuSK and lipoprotein receptor-related protein 4 (LRP4) antibodies; (iii) a radioimmunoassay for titin antibodies. Results Antibodies to AChR, MuSK, LRP4 and titin were found in 25% (20/81), 4% (3/81), 7% (6/81) and 6% (5/78) of SNMG patients, respectively. In total, 37% of SNMG patients were found to be positive for at least one of the tested antibodies. AChR antibody positive patients had more severe disease (P = 0.008) and a trend towards fewer remissions/minimal manifestations than AChR antibody negative patients. The four patients with coexistence of antibodies had more severe disease, whilst the seronegative patients had milder MG (P = 0.015). Conclusions Detection of multiple muscle antibodies by more sensitive assays provides additional information in diagnosing and subgrouping of MG and may guide MG treatment.

To evaluate the effect on the inflammatory indexes of septic gastrointestinal dysfunction treated with acupuncture at Jiaji (EX-B 2).A total of 118 patients of septic gastrointestinal dysfunction were randomized into an observation group and a control group, 59 cases in each one. In the control group, mosapride citrate was prescribed for oral administration, 5 mg each time, 3 times a day, bifidobacterium triple viable capsules, 420 mg each time, twice a day, intravenous drip with omeprazole, 40 mg, twice a day. Additionally, the antibiotics and the symptomatic treatment were selected rationally for maintaining the functions of the important organs, e.g. heart, lung, brain and kidney, and water-electrolyte balance. In the observation group, on the routine management as the control group, acupuncture at Jiaji (EX-B 2, TThe differences were not significant in the indexes mentioned above on 1st and 3rd days of treatment between the two groups (Acupuncture at Jiaji (EX-B 2) points achieves the satisfactory effect on septic gastrointestinal dysfunction and reduces the inflammatory indexes count.

To explore the therapeutic effect of acupuncture for spastic cerebral palsy in infancy stage.A total of 62 children with spastic cerebral palsy were randomized into an observation group and a control group, 31 cases in each one. Both groups were given comprehensive rehabilitation therapy (sport therapy, electronic biofeedback therapy, speech cognitive training, massage therapy). On the basis of comprehensive rehabilitation therapy, the acupuncture group was treated with acupuncture at Baihui (GV 20), Sishencong (EX-HN1), motor area, Jiaji (EX-B 2), Weizhong (BL 40), Xuanzhong (GB 39), Zusanli (ST 36) and Hegu (LI 4), etc, the needles were retained for 15-20 min each time, once a day, 5 days a week, 45 days as a course with 10 days interval, a total of 3 courses were required. The Gesell development scale adaptive DQ scores, gross motor function measure (GMFM88) and muscular tension of adductor and gastrocnemius muscle were compared before and after treatment in the two groups.The Gesell development scale adaptive DQ score after treatment in the observation group was increased (Acupuncture combined with comprehensive rehabilitation therapy can improve cognitive function, spasticity and motor function of children with spastic cerebral palsy.

The distribution of burden layers in an ironmaking blast furnace strongly influences the conditions in the upper part of the process. The bed permeability largely depends on the distribution of ore and coke in the lumpy zone, which affects the radial gas flow distribution in the shaft. Along with the continuous advancement of technology, more information about the internal conditions of the blast furnace can be obtained through advanced measurement equipment, including 2D profiles and 3D surface maps of the top burden surface. However, the change of layer structure along with the burden descent cannot be directly measured. A mathematical model predicting the burden distribution and the internal layer structure during the descending process is established in this paper. The accuracy of the burden distribution model is verified by a comparison with experimental results. A sensitivity study was undertaken to clarify the role of some factors on the arising layer distribution, including the descent-rate distribution, the initial burden surface profile, and the charging direction through the charging matrix. The findings can be used as a theoretical basis to guide plant operations for optimizing the charging.

Nanocrystals (NCs) have been introduced for use in pulmonary delivery in recent decades. Although the deposition and bioavailability have been extensively studied, little is known about the biofate, which influences the drug release and absorption process of NCs. In this study, we fabricated three different sized curcumin NCs by adjusting the parameters of mill machine using a wet milling method and studied the size effect on pulmonary absorption. The small nanocrystals (NC-S, 246.16 ± 21.98 nm) exhibited a faster dissolution rate and higher diffusion percentage in vitro compared with middle (NC-M, 535.26 ± 50.33 nm) and large nanocrystals (NC-L, 1089.53 ± 194.34 nm). Multiple particle tracking experiments revealed that NC-S had larger mean squared displacement during diffusion in simulated mucus of 0.5% hydroxyethyl cellulose solution. Moreover, enhanced cellular uptake and transport efficiency were achieved by NC-S in Calu-3 cells and an air-liquid interface culturing model. NCs were mainly absorbed in the dissolved drug form, as assessed by using the Forster resonance energy transfer (FRET) technique. In vivo lung retention and distribution revealed that few smaller sized nanocrystals were retained in the lung after intratracheal administration. The pharmacokinetic study showed that the AUC(0-t) values of small sized nanocrystals were 1.75- and 3.32-fold greater than NC-M and NC-L, respectively. In conclusion, this study demonstrated that smaller sized nanocrystals were more easily absorbed into the blood system by increasing the dissolution rate.

The clinical characteristics of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutation have been well studied. However, the correlation of EGFR mutation with mutant p53, Ki-67, and thyroid transcription factor 1 (TTF-1) and their prognostic value remain indistinct.Clinical and pathological characteristics and overall survival were analysed retrospectively in 523 surgically resected NSCLC patients. The expression levels of p53, Ki-67, and TTF-1 protein were detected by immunohistochemistry, and an amplification refractory mutation system was used to access the status of EGFR mutations.Of 523 patients with surgically resected NSCLC, 210 patients (38.4%) harboured EGFR mutations. Compared to the EGFR wild-type lung cancer, mutated EGFR harboured significantly increased mutant p53-positive or TTF-1-positive tumors (P0.001 and0.001, respectively). Former or current smokers, pathological stage and mutant p53-or TTF-1-positive status were independent predictors of EGFR mutation (P=0.001, 0.014, 0.014 and0.001, respectively). Patients with p53 under expression had significantly better overall survival in the whole cohort and wild-type EGFR cohort (P=0.0010 and 0.0020, respectively) as well as in Ki-67-negative and TTF-1-positive patients (P0.0001 and 0.0009, and P0.0001 and 0.0004, respectively). Interestingly, in patients harbouring EGFR mutations, p53-under expression and Ki-67-negative cases still had better survival than positive cases, whereas there was no obvious difference between TTF-1-negative and TTF-1-positive cases (P=0.0198, 0.0068 and 0.3684, respectively). Finally, in NSCLC patients with wild-type EGFR, positive Ki-67 expression was the independent predictor for the worst survival (P=0.022).The expression levels of mutant p53, Ki-67, and TTF-1 were correlated with EGFR mutation. High expression of mutant p53 and Ki-67 correlated with poor survival in the entire cohort, EGFR mutation or wild-type cohort. In addition, Ki-67 might have an impact on the prognosis for patients with NSCLC with wild-type EGFR.

General researches show that all kinds of random risk information and periodic information in the financial system are mainly transmitted to the asset price through influencing the volatility, thus impacting the whole market. So can the periodic information and random factors in the price be transmitted to the volatility in reverse and cause volatility changes? Hence, in this paper, we investigate the stochastic resonance of volatility which is influenced by price periodic information in financial market, based on our proposed periodic Brownian Motion model and absolute return volatility. The parameter estimation of the periodic Brownian Motion model is obtained by minimizing the mean square deviation between the theoretical and empirical return distributions for the CSI300 data set. The good agreements of the probability density functions of the price returns, realized volatility (RV) at 5 minutes, RV at 15 minutes and absolute return volatility between theoretical and empirical calculation are found. After simulating the absolute return volatility and signal power amplification (SPA) of volatility via periodic Brownian Motion model, the results indicated that (i) single and double inverse resonance phenomena can be observed in the function of SPA versus random information intensity or economic growth rate; (ii) multiple inverse resonance phenomena can be also observed for SPA versus frequency of periodic information. The results imply that the transmission of stochastic factors and periodic information is not only from the volatility to the price, but also from the price to the volatility.

Financial market crash is one of the most extreme manifestations of financial market instability. It is of great significance to study its underlying structure and its forecasting methods. From the perspective of Econophysics, in addition to the influence of factors such as fluctuation on the financial price crash, we consider that the financial price crash originates from the change of the underlying structure described by the nonlinear potential function in the financial system. So we first propose a new nonlinear potential GARCH model by introducing nonlinear potential function and combining with GARCH model. In order to only analyze the effects of potential functions and eliminate the effects of fluctuations on prices, we combine the realized volatility and propose the likelihood function estimations of the proposed model and the benchmark GARCH and ARCH models. Then, based on the 5-minute high-frequency data of CSI300 and WTI crude oil, the out of sample forecasting with rolling time window and the SPA test method with Bootstrap characteristics are calculated. Finally, Akaike information criterion and Bayesian information criterion are employed to test the Goodness of fit of three models for in-sample and out-of-sample. The dynamic forecasting performance of the proposed new nonlinear potential GARCH model is compared with that of the benchmark GARCH and ARCH models. The main empirical results show that the proposed new nonlinear potential GARCH model is better than the benchmark GARCH and ARCH models for forecasting the returns and prices in the financial price crash for the given data. In addition, the potential well of the underlying nonlinear potential function changes obviously in the financial price crash.

Rolling friction representing the energy dissipation mechanism with the elastic deformation at the contact point could act directly on particle percolation. The present investigation intends to elucidate the influence of rolling friction coefficient on inter-particle percolation in a packed bed by discrete element method (DEM). The results show that the vertical velocity of percolating particles decreases with increasing the rolling friction coefficient. With the increase of rolling friction coefficient, the transverse dispersion coefficient decreases, but the longitudinal dispersion coefficient increases. Packing height has a limited effect on the transverse and longitudinal dispersion coefficient. In addition, with the increase of size ratio of bed particles to percolation ones, the percolation velocity increases. The transverse dispersion coefficient increases with the size ratio before D/dD/d=14, then increases with the increase of the size ratio. External forces affect the percolation behaviours. Increasing the magnitude of the upward force (e.g. from a gas stream) reduces the percolation velocity, and decreases the dispersion coefficient.

A cancer stem cell (CSC) sub-population that is characterized by the abilities of tumor initiation, self-renewal, metastasis and resistance to chemotherapy can suggest new therapeutic targets. Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an autoimmune disorder with heterogeneity. Antibodies against acetylcholine receptor (AChR), muscle-specific kinase (MuSK), titin and ryanodine receptor (RyR) were examined in 437 adult Chinese MG patients. The AChR, MuSK, titin and RyR antibodies were found in 82.2%, 2.3%, 28.4% and 23.8% of all patients. Autoantibody profiles vary among different MG subgroups. Thymoma MG patients had high frequencies of AChR (99.2%), titin (50.8%) and RyR antibodies (46.9%). The titin and RyR antibodies also showed high frequencies in late onset patients (54.4% and 33.3%, respectively). These two antibodies may indicate an underlying thymoma when combined. The patients with titin and RyR antibodies tend to have more severe disease and worse outcome, and may need more active immunosuppressive treatment.

COREX shaft furnace (SF) is an industrial system that employs screw feeders; thus, the burden descending velocity and particle segregation in the SF can be directly affected by the design of screw. A three-dimensional actual size model of COREX-3000 SF was established using the discrete element method. Four types of burdens, including pellet, ore, flux and coke, were considered in this model. With this consideration, the effect of screw design on solid flow was investigated. Results showed that, in the base case, burdens fell primarily down from the first flight of the screw. The burden descending velocities were nearly uniform in the peripheral direction and decreased along the radial direction. In addition, the normalized particle size increased in the center area and decreased in the wall area. Reducing the flight diameter of screw benefited an even flow pattern and restrained the rolling tendency of burden from the edge to center areas. An optimized case was also proposed, in which a uniform solid flow profile could be obtained and the evenness of descending velocity along the radius could be greatly improved.

COREX is one of the commercialized smelting reduction ironmaking processes. It mainly includes two reactors: a reduction shaft and a melter gasifier (MG). Lump coal is used in the MG to generate reducing agents, and hence its distribution plays an important role in determining the temperature distribution and the reduction of iron ores. To understand the formation of burden profiles, a three-dimensional discrete element method (DEM) model is established and validated against experimental tests. The effects of key operational parameters such as the chute angle and the rotational speed are investigated, and the underlying mechanisms in the formation of an asymmetrical pile are analyzed. The results show that the asymmetrical pile is intrinsic to the discharge system due to the outward motion of lump coal. The results also reveal a significant size segregation of lump coal along the radial direction. Small particles tend to accumulate in the inner side of the pile while the large ones have large fractions in the outer side. The effect of the rotational speed is minor within the range from 3 to 12 rpm. These findings are helpful for the control and optimization of the MG to improve its energy efficiency.

The Lakange porphyry Cu–Mo deposit within the Gangdese metallogenic belt of Tibet is located in the southern–central part of the eastern Lhasa block, in the Tibetan Tethyan tectonic domain. This deposit is one of the largest identified by a joint Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau geological survey project undertaken in recent years. Here, we present the results of the systematic logging of drillholes and provide new petrological, zircon U–Pb age, and molybdenite Re–Os age data for the deposit. The ore-bearing porphyritic granodiorite contains elevated concentrations of silica and alkali elements but low concentrations of MgO and CaO. It is metaluminous to weakly peraluminous and has A/CNK values of 0.90–1.01. The samples contain low total REE concentrations and show light REE/heavy REE (LREE/HREE) ratios of 17.51–19.77 and (La/Yb)N values of 29.65–41.05. The intrusion is enriched in the large-ion lithophile elements (LILE) and depleted in the HREE and high field-strength elements (HFSE). The ore-bearing porphyritic granodiorite yielded a Miocene zircon U–Pb crystallization age of 13.58 ± 0.42 Ma, whereas the mineralization within the Lakange deposit yielded Miocene molybdenite Re–Os ages of 13.20 ± 0.20 and 13.64 ± 0.21, with a weighted mean of 13.38 ± 0.15 Ma and an isochron age of 13.12 ± 0.44 Ma. This indicates that the crystallization and mineralization of the Lakange porphyry were contemporaneous. The ore-bearing porphyritic granodiorite yielded zircon eHf(t) values between −3.99 and 4.49 (mean, −0.14) and two-stage model ages between 1349 and 808 Myr (mean, 1103 Myr). The molybdenite within the deposit contains 343.6–835.7 ppm Re (mean, 557.8 ppm). These data indicate that the mineralized porphyritic granodiorite within the Lakange deposit is adakitic and formed from parental magmas derived mainly from juvenile crustal material that partly mixed with older continental crust during the evolution of the magmas. The Lakange porphyry Cu–Mo deposit and numerous associated porphyry–skarn deposits in the eastern Gangdese porphyry copper belt (17–13 Ma) formed in an extensional tectonic setting during the India–Asia continental collision.

To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of acupuncture of Huatuo Jiaji (EX-B2) in the treatment of gastrointestinal dysfunction in sepsis patients, aiming at providing new clinical approach and evidence for improving septic gastrointestinal activity.A total of 40 patients with septic gastrointestinal dysfunction who met our inclusive criteria were randomly divided into control group and treatment group (After the treatment, the APACHE II score, intra-abdominal pressure and intragastric residual volume on day 10 were significantly decreased in both groups in comparison with their own pre-treatment (Acupuncture stimulation of EX-B2 has a good curative effect in improving gastrointestinal dysfunction in sepsis patients.

We have systematically studied physical properties of Ba(Fe_{0.97}Cr_{0.03})_{2}(As_{1-x}P_{x})_{2}, where superconductivity in BaFe_{2}(As_{1-x}P_{x})_{2} is fully suppressed by just 3% of Cr substitution of Fe. A quantum critical point is revealed at x∼0.42, where non-Fermi-liquid behaviors similar to those in BaFe_{2}(As_{1-x}P_{x})_{2} are observed. Neutron diffraction and inelastic neutron scattering measurements suggest that the quantum critical point is associated with the antiferromagnetic order, which is not of conventional spin-density-wave type as evidenced by the ω/T scaling of spin excitations. On the other hand, no divergence of low-temperature nematic susceptibility is observed when x is decreased to 0.42 from higher doping level, demonstrating that there are no nematic quantum critical fluctuations. Our results suggest that non-Fermi-liquid behaviors in iron-based superconductors can be solely resulted from the antiferromagnetic quantum critical fluctuations, which cast doubts on the role of nematic fluctuations played in the normal-state properties in iron-based superconductors.

As energy efficiency becomes increasingly important to the steel industry, the iron ore sintering process is attracting more attention since it consumes the second large amount of energy in the iron and steel making processes. The present work aims to propose a prediction model for the iron ore sintering characters. A hybrid ensemble model combined the extreme learning machine (ELM) with an improved AdaBoost.RT algorithm is developed for regression problem. First, the factors that affect solid fuel consumption, gas fuel consumption, burn-through point (BTP), and tumbler index (TI) are ranked according to the attributes weightiness sequence by applying the RReliefF method. Second, the ELM network is selected as an ensemble predictor due to its fast learning speed and good generalization performance. Third, an improved AdaBoost.RT is established to overcome the limitation of conventional AdaBoost.RT by dynamically self-adjusting the threshold value. Then, an ensemble ELM is employed by using the improved AdaBoost.RT for better precision than individual predictor. Finally, this hybrid ensemble model is applied to predict the iron ore sintering characters by production data from No. 4 sintering machine in Baosteel. The results obtained show that the proposed model is effective and feasible for the practical sintering process. In addition, through analyzing the first superior factors, the energy efficiency and sinter quality could be obviously improved.

Background: Pre-treated patients with first-line treatment can be offered a second treatment with the aim of improving their poor clinical prognosis. The therapy of metastatic colorectal cancer (CRC) patients who did not respond to first-line therapy has limited treatment options. Recently, many studies have paid much attention to the efficacy of bevacizumab as an adjuvant treatment for metastatic colorectal cancer. Objectives: We aimed to evaluate the efficacy and toxicity of bevacizumab plus chemotherapy compared with bevacizumab-naive based chemotherapy as second-line treatment in people with metastatic CRC. Methods: Electronic databases were searched for eligible studies updated to March 2018. Randomized-controlled trials comparing addition of bevacizumab to chemotherapy without bevacizumab in MCRC patients were included, of which, the main interesting results were the efficacy and safety profiles of the addition of bevacizumab in patients with MCRC as second-line therapy. Result: Five trials were eligible in the meta-analysis. Patients who received the combined bevacizumab and chemotherapy treatment in MCRC as second-line therapy showed a longer overall survival (OS) (OR=0.80,95%CI=0.72-0.89, P Conclusion: Our results suggest that the addition of bevacizumab to the chemotherapy therapy could be an efficient and safe treatment option for patients with metastatic colorectal cancer as second-line therapy and without increasing the risk of an adverse event.

OBJECTIVES Myasthenia gravis (MG) represents a spectrum of clinical subtypes with differences in disease mechanisms and treatment response. MG with muscle-specific tyrosine kinase (MuSK) antibodies accounts for 1%-10% of all MG patients. We conducted a meta-analysis to evaluate the association between HLA genes and MuSK-MG susceptibility. SUBJECTS AND METHODS Studies were searched in Pubmed, EMBASE database and other sources between 2001 and 2018.
