Abstract

We established a method for calculating and analyzing the static leakage rate based on a porous media model for foamed silicone rubber materials. The mechanical properties of the foamed silicone rubber material under macroscopic compression were described by the Ogden third (foam) model in the finite-element hyperelastic model. It solved the problem of difficult convergence of large compressible and volume compressible cell materials. The size and distribution of the cells on the surface of the foamed material were obtained by a white-light interferometer and mathematical fitting. The boundary conditions for solving the porous medium model were obtained by the coupling of the macroscopic contact pressure and the microscopic cell contact pressure. For the unique cell structure and contact state of the surface of the foamed material, the flow state of the fluid at the sealing interface was described by a porous medium model, and the leak rate was obtained. In addition, this article analyzed the effect of different compression and the relative pressure of the sealing end face on the leakage.

117. FFT-Based Numerical Method for Non-Linear Elastic Contact

Abstract

Based on FFT, a numerical method suitable for elastoplastic and hyperelastic frictionless contact is proposed in this paper, which can be used to solve 2D and 3D contact problems. The non-linear elastic contact problem is transformed to linear elastic contact considering residual deformation (or equivalent residual deformation). Numerical simulations for elastic, elastoplastic and hyperelastic contact between hemisphere and rigid plane are compared with the results of finite element method (FEM) to verify the accuracy of the numerical method. Compared with the existing elastoplastic contact numerical methods, the calculation efficiency is improved while ensuring a certain calculation accuracy (pressure error does not exceed 15% while calculation time does not exceed 10 minutes in a 64×64 grid). For hyperelastic contact, the proposed method reduces the dependence of the approximation result on load as in linear elastic approximation. Despite a certain error, the simplified numerical method shows a better approximation result than linear elastic contact approximation, which can be used for the fast solution in engineering applications. Finally, taking the sealing application as an example, the contact and leakage rate between 3D complicated rough surfaces are calculated.

Abstract

In the process of modern vehicle design and manufacture, Prediction through experimental methods and structural improvement of chassis components are an important part of improving the fatigue durability of vehicle structures. In this paper, the fatigue damage test of a vehicle is carried out by analyzing the fatigue vibration of a vehicle torsion beam member, premature failure and failure occurred. Based on the test data and results of MTS test bed, the failure analysis and life prediction of the key component are carried out. In the test design, the rain flow counting method is used to process and transform the pavement spectrum load data. According to the test results, local stress strain method and Miner criterion are used to estimate the fatigue damage of torsional beam. Finally, the damage of the torsion beam of this model was obtained through the test bench loading road spectrum test, and the main damage points were obtained through the comparative analysis of the fatigue damage prediction results. It is of great significance to study the improvement and optimization of torsion beams.

Abstract

Penstock pipe belongs to special pressure equipment, which has the risk of explosion. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the analysis of common accident damage forms and causes of penstock pipe, and do a good job in quality inspection to ensure the safe operation of penstock pipe. This paper mainly studies the penstock pipe of hydraulic storage power station. In the two kinds of steel, the more suitable steel structure is selected by semi elliptical crack analysis and FAD evaluation. According to the experimental data, steel B is more suitable for this structure. Because the failure time of the material, we make thickness correction with MATLAB. Finally, according to the analysis results, it is more appropriate to select steel B as the material of the penstock.
