We introduce a C' iric' type contraction principle in a vector-valued b-metric space that generalizes Perov's contraction principle. We investigate the possible conditions on the mappings W, E: G → G (G is a non-empty set), for which these mappings admit a unique common fixed point in G subject to a nonlinear operator F: Pm → Rm. We illustrate the hypothesis of our findings with examples. We consider an infectious disease model represented by the system of delay integrodifferential equations and apply the obtained fixed point theorem to show the existence of a solution to this model. This study presents a deep learning model for efficient intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) detection and subtype classification on non-contrast head computed tomography (CT) images. ICH refers to bleeding in the skull, leading to the most critical life-threatening health condition requiring rapid and accurate diagnosis. It is classified as intra-axial hemorrhage (intraventricular, intraparenchymal) and extra-axial hemorrhage (subdural, epidural, subarachnoid) based on the bleeding location inside the skull. Many computer-aided diagnoses (CAD)-based schemes have been proposed for ICH detection and classification at both slice and scan levels. However, these approaches performonly binary classification and suffer from a large number of parameters, which increase storage costs. Further, the accuracy of brain hemorrhage detection in existing models is significantly low for medically critical applications. To overcome these problems, a fast and efficient system for the automatic detection of ICH is needed. We designed a double-branch model based on xception architecture that extracts spatial and instant features, concatenates them, and creates the 3D spatial context (common feature vectors) fed to a decision tree classifier for final predictions. The data employed for the experimentation was gathered during the 2019 Radiologist Society of North America (RSNA) brain hemorrhage detection challenge. Our model outperformed benchmark models and achieved better accuracy in intraventricular (99.49%), subarachnoid (99.49%), intraparenchymal (99.10%), and subdural (98.09%) categories, thereby justifying the performance of the proposed double-branch xception architecture for ICH detection and classification. Objective: To compare motor and sensory blockade and hemodynamic effects of standard dose Bupivacaine versus low dose Bupivacaine mixed with Dexmedetomidine for spinal anesthesia in elderly male patients undergoing genitourinary surgery. Study Design: Prospective comparative study. Place and Duration of Study: Anesthesia Department Combined Military Hospital, Lahore Pakistan, from Sep 2019 to Feb 2020. Methodology: Hundred elderly male patients of American Society of Anesthesiology status-II undergoing surgery under spinal anesthesia were divided in two Groups. Group B (Bupivacaine Group) was given 11.25mg Bupivacaine and Group BD (Bupivacaine+Dexmedetomidine Group) received 7.5mg Bupivacaine and 5µg Dexmedetomidine intrathecally. Both Groups were given equal volume of 2ml. Results: Mean time for onset of sensory block for Group B and BD was 2.72±0.81 and 2.28±1.03 minutes respectively (p-value= 0.02). Mean time for onset of motor block for Group B and BD was 3.09±0.62 and 2.84±0.64 minutes respectively (p-value= 0.045). Mean duration of analgesia in Group B and BD was 171.87±10.19 and 187.60±18.42 minutes (p-value=0.01). Mean heart rate in Group B and BD was 80.04±5.51 and 75.68±6.11 beats/minutes (p-value=0.001). Mean arterial pressure's mean in Group B and BD was 62.78±78.13.49 and 87.96±10.15 (p-value=0.001). Conclusion: Onset of sensory and motor block was significantly shorter; analgesic effect was longer when Dexmedetomidine was combined with Bupivacaine for spinal anesthesia in comparison to Bupivacaine alone. Introduction: Abdominal surgeries or laparotomies are standard procedures for the treatment of different acute gastrointestinal pathologies and gastric decompression is commonly used before the majority of such surgeries. Nasogastric tubes are commonly used in the normal routine of abdominal surgeries and to achieve normal bowel function it is kept post-operatively as well for at least a couple of days. Several surgeons prefer to employ gastric decompression as they consider that it can decrease the incidence of side effects of surgeries such as post-operative ileus, nausea, aspiration, vomiting, and anastomotic leakage. We recommend no nasogastric intubation after small bowel anastomosis as the mean hospital time and stay for passage of first flatus was less compared to the intubated group and also it does not affect the prevention of intestinal anastomotic leak. Objective: To compare mean hospital stay and mean time for passage of first flatus between post-operative nasogastric intubation with no intubation after small bowel anastomosis. Material and Methods: This Randomized controlled trial was conducted at departments of surgery in Lady Reading Hospital and Mercy Teaching Hospital Peshawar from 1st July 2020 to 30th June 2021 as part of an endeavor to do an RCT and included cases operated both in the government and private sector i.e., Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar and Mercy Teaching Hospital Peshawar. In this study, a total of 60 patients in each group were observed. All patients were randomly allocated into two groups by the Lottery method. Patients in group A were not subjected to post-operative nasogastric intubation while patients in group-B were subjected to post-operative nasogastric intubation for 24 hours. Results: Our study shows that in group-A (Non-nasogastric intubation) mean age was 42 years with SD±0.76, whereas in group-B (nasogastric intubation) mean age was 44 years with SD±9.11. In group-A (Non-nasogastric intubation) 55% of patients were male and 45% of patients were female. Whereas in group-B (Non-nasogastric intubation) 52% of patients were male and 48% of patients were female. Group-A (Non-nasogastric intubation), mean hospital stay was 4 days±3.12 and the meantime to pass first flatus was 38 hours±7.42. Where as group-B (nasogastric intubation), mean hospital stay was 7 days±2.91 and the meantime to pass first flatus was 42 hours±8.57. Conclusion: We concludes that mean hospital stay and mean time to pass flatus is less with no nasogastric intubation compared to nasogastric intubation after small bowel anastomosis. In this article, we introduce (Ψ , Φ) -orthogonal interpolative contractions which generalize orthogonal interpolative contractions. We investigate different conditions on the functions Ψ , Φ : (0 , ∞) → (− ∞ , ∞) to show the existence of fixed-points of set-valued (Ψ , Φ) -orthogonal interpolative contractions. This study aimed to investigate the correlation between disordered eating patterns, psychological distress, and social self-esteem among university students in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. The study included University Students as participants and it utilized a correlational cross-sectional research design. The data collection involved administering a series of questionnaires, which included the Social Self Esteem Scale (SSES), Eating Disorder Examination Questionnaire (EDE-Q), and DASS-21 (Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale). The study adhered to ethical considerations in a rigorous manner. The results indicated a statistically significant and positive correlation between psychological distresses and disordered eating behaviors. Furthermore, a notable inverse relationship was identified between psychological distress and social self-esteem, as well as between psychological distress and disordered eating behaviors. The findings of this study carry significant implications for the design and implementation of targeted interventions aimed at promoting the mental and physical well-being of college students. Additionally, these results may contribute to the development of educational initiatives that seek to prevent the emergence and advancement of eating disorders within this susceptible group. Limitations of the study include the utilization of a cross-sectional design and the limited representativeness of the sample. These factors should be taken into account in future research endeavors. Geometries, electronic structure and electronic absorption spectra of thiophene based dye-sensitized solar cells were performed using Density Functional Theory (DFT) and time dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT). Different electron donating and electron withdrawing groups have been substituted. Geometries and electronic properties have been computed at B3LYP/6-31G∗∗ and absorption spectra at TD-B3LYP/6-31G∗∗ level of theory. Major change in bond lengths and bond angles occurs in the system where there is electron withdrawing or electron donating groups have been substituted. In SYSTEM-2 and SYSTEM-3 intra charge transfer has been observed. HOMO of SYSTEM-2 and SYSTEM-3 is delocalized on left side while LUMO on right side of the molecule. In SYSTEM-1, HOMO is on left side while LUMO is in the center. The designed systems show two absorption peaks for each of the system. In short, choice of appropriate electron withdrawing and donating groups is very important for improving the performance of dye-sensitized solar cells.
