A new metamaterial with negative permeability is presented in this study. Negative permeability metamaterials are called mu-negative (MNG) metamaterial as well. The transmission co-efficient of this metamaterial shows resonance at a certain frequency in the C-band of microwave frequency range for the z-axis wave propagation. It also exhibits the characteristics of a mu-negative (MNG) metamaterial there. In the basic construction, the unit cell was formed by joining two metal split square resonator by a copper link on FR-4 substrate material. The measured result is presented and it shows good conformity with the simulated result. Keywords— cloak; c-band; metamaterials
