- Abstract
In N = 1 supergravity, the scalar potential may have supersymmetric (SUSY) and non-supersymmetric Minkowski vacua (associated with supersymmetric and physical phases) with vanishing energy density. In the supersymmetric Minkowski (second) phase, some breakdown of SUSY may be induced by nonperturbative effects in the observable sector that give rise to a tiny positive vacuum energy density. Postulating the exact degeneracy of the physical and second vacua as well as assuming that at high energies the couplings in both phases are almost identical, one can estimate the dark energy density in these vacua. It is mostly determined by the SUSY breaking scale M-s in the physical phase. Exploring the two-loop renormalization group (RG) flow of couplings in these vacua, we find that the measured value of the cosmological constant can be reproduced if M-s varies from 20 TeV to 400 TeV. We also argue that this prediction for the SUSY breaking scale is consistent with the upper bound on M-s in the higgsino dark matter scenario.

This Report summarizes the results of the activities of the LHC Higgs Cross Section Working Group in the period 2014-2016. The main goal of the working group was to present the state-of-the-art of Higgs physics at the LHC, integrating all new results that have appeared in the last few years. The first part compiles the most up-to-date predictions of Higgs boson production cross sections and decay branching ratios, parton distribution functions, and off-shell Higgs boson production and interference effects. The second part discusses the recent progress in Higgs effective field theory predictions, followed by the third part on pseudo-observables, simplified template cross section and fiducial cross section measurements, which give the baseline framework for Higgs boson property measurements. The fourth part deals with the beyond the Standard Model predictions of various benchmark scenarios of Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model, extended scalar sector, Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model and exotic Higgs boson decays. This report follows three previous working-group reports: Handbook of LHC Higgs Cross Sections: 1. Inclusive Observables (CERN-2011-002), Handbook of LHC Higgs Cross Sections: 2. Differential Distributions (CERN-2012-002), and Handbook of LHC Higgs Cross Sections: 3. Higgs properties (CERN-2013-004). The current report serves as the baseline reference for Higgs physics in LHC Run 2 and beyond., Comment: 869 pages, 295 figures, 248 tables and 1645 citations. - Abstract
The production of a Standard Model Higgs boson in association with two hard jets in the forward and backward regions of the detector, frequently quoted as the “vector-boson fusion” (VBF) channel, and the production of a Higgs boson in association with a W or Z boson, known as “VH production” or “Higgsstrahlung”, represent cornerstones in a comprehensive study of Higgs boson couplings at the LHC. These production channels do not only provide valuable information on the couplings of Higgs bosons to the massive gauge bosons by themselves, but also allow for the isolation of the Higgs boson decays into -lepton or bottom-quark pairs, whose investigation is essential in the Higgs boson couplings analysis. In the previous reports [7–9], state-of-the-art predictions and error estimates for the total and differential cross sections for pp ! H + 2 jets and pp ! HV ! H + 2 leptons were compiled (with V = W; Z), but the process of improving and refining predictions is still ongoing, even within the Standard Model. In this contribution we update the cross-section predictions for VBF and VH production, covering integrated total and fiducial cross sections as well as differential distributions. In detail, the presented state-of-the-art predictions include QCD corrections up to next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO), electroweak (EW) corrections up to next-to-leading order (NLO), and contributions from specific partonic channels that open at higher perturbative orders, such as photon-induced collisions or gluon-fusion contributions. Apart from collecting numerical results, we give recommendations as to how to combine the individual components and to assess conservative estimates of remaining theoretical uncertainties. Moreover, issues connected to the matching and the impact of parton showers (PS) are discussed.

We calculate flavour dependent lepton asymmetries within the $E_6$ inspired Supersymmetric Standard Model. Our analysis reveals that the substantial lepton CP asymmetries can be induced even if $M_1\simeq 10^6 {GeV}$., Poster presented at ICHEP08, Philadelphia, USA, July 2008. 3 pages, 2 figures

We investigate leptogenesis in the E6 inspired Exceptional Supersymmetric Standard Model (E6SSM). Right-handed (RH) neutrinos are singlets under the Standard Model gauge groups and the extra U 1 gauge group of the E6SSM at low energies and are therefore not involved in gauge interactions. This allows them to have Majorana mass large enough for the seesaw mechanism and leptogenesis. In addition to canonical leptogenesis, the RH neutrinos may decay into exotic leptons and leptoquarks, the subsequent decays of which lead to extra lepton asymmetries. We find that the lepton asymmetry can be drastically enhanced as compared with that in the SM and MSSM?

There are many possibilities for new physics beyond the Standard Model that feature non-standard Higgs sectors. These may introduce new sources of CP violation, and there may be mixing between multiple Higgs bosons or other new scalar bosons. Alternatively, the Higgs may be a composite state, or there may even be no Higgs at all. These non-standard Higgs scenarios have important implications for collider physics as well as for cosmology, and understanding their phenomenology is essential for a full comprehension of electroweak symmetry breaking. This report discusses the most relevant theories which go beyond the Standard Model and its minimal, CP-conserving supersymmetric extension: two-Higgs-doublet models and minimal supersymmetric models with CP violation, supersymmetric models with an extra singlet, models with extra gauge groups or Higgs triplets, Little Higgs models, models in extra dimensions, and models with technicolour or other new strong dynamics. For each of these scenarios, this report presents an introduction to the phenomenology, followed by contributions on more detailed theoretical aspects and studies of possible experimental signatures at the LHC and other colliders. - Abstract
The empirical mass of the Higgs boson suggests small to vanishing values of the quartic Higgs self--coupling and the corresponding beta function at the Planck scale, leading to degenerate vacua. This leads us to suggest that the measured value of the cosmological constant can originate from supergravity (SUGRA) models with degenerate vacua. This scenario is realised if there are at least three exactly degenerate vacua. In the first vacuum, associated with the physical one, local supersymmetry (SUSY) is broken near the Planck scale while the breakdown of the SU(2)_W\times U(1)_Y symmetry takes place at the electroweak (EW) scale. In the second vacuum local SUSY breaking is induced by gaugino condensation at a scale which is just slightly lower than \Lambda_{QCD} in the physical vacuum. Finally, in the third vacuum local SUSY and EW symmetry are broken near the Planck scale., Comment: 12 pages, 1 figure, version of the paper published in PLB

- Abstract
We analyse the two-loop renormalization group (RG) flow of the gauge and Yukawa couplings within the E6 inspired supersymmetric (SUSY) models with extra U(1)_{N} gauge symmetry under which right-handed neutrinos have zero charge. In these models single discrete \tilde{Z}^{H}_2 symmetry forbids the tree-level flavor-changing transitions and the most dangerous baryon and lepton number violating operators. We consider two different scenarios A and B that involve extra matter beyond the MSSM contained in three and four 5+\overline{5} representations of SU(5) respectively plus three SU(5) singlets which carry U(1)_{N} charges. In the scenario A the measured values of the SU(2)_W and U(1)_Y gauge couplings lie near the fixed points of the RG equations. In the scenario B the contribution of two--loop corrections spoils the unification of gauge couplings resulting in the appearance of the Landau pole below the Grand Unification scale M_X. The solutions for the Yukawa couplings also approach the quasi fixed points with increasing their values at the scale M_X. We calculate the two--loop upper bounds on the lightest Higgs boson mass in the vicinity of these quasi fixed points and compare the results of our analysis with the corresponding ones in the NMSSM. In all these cases the theoretical restrictions on the SM--like Higgs boson mass are rather close to 125 GeV., Comment: 30 pages, 2 figures, some minor changes to the text, references added

- Abstract
We study the decays of the SM-like Higgs state within the E6 inspired supersymmetric (SUSY) models with exact custodial symmetry that forbids tree-level flavor-changing transitions and the most dangerous baryon and lepton number violating operators. In these models there are two states which are absolutely stable and can contribute to the dark matter density. One of them is the lightest SUSY particle (LSP) which is expected to be lighter than 1 eV forming hot dark matter in the Universe. The presence of another stable neutral state allows to account for the observed cold dark matter density. In the considered SUSY models next-to-lightest SUSY particle (NLSP) also tend to be light. We argue that the NLSP with GeV scale mass can result in the substantial branching ratio of the nonstadard decays of the lightest Higgs boson., Comment: 15 pages, minor changes to the text. arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:1201.5488 by other authors

- Abstract
We study the parameter space of the constrained exceptional supersymmetric standard model (cE6SSM) consistent with a Higgs signal near 125 GeV and the LHC searches for squarks, gluinos and Z'. The cE6SSM parameter space consistent with correct electroweak symmetry breaking, is represented by scans in the (m0, M1/2) plane for fixed Z' mass and tan beta, with squark, gluino and Higgs masses plotted as contours in this plane. We find that a 125 GeV Higgs mass only arises for a sufficiently large Z' mass, mostly above current limits, and for particular regions of squark and gluino masses corresponding to multi-TeV squark masses, but with lighter gluinos typically within reach of the LHC 8 TeV or forthcoming 14 TeV runs. Successful dark matter relic abundance may be achieved over all the parameter space, assuming a bino-like LSP with a nearby heavier inert Higgsino doublet and decoupled inert singlinos, resulting in conventional gluino decay signatures. A set of typical benchmark points with a Higgs near 125 GeV is provided which exemplifies these features., Comment: 31 pages, 7 figures, V2 added three references
