The multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) problems indicate the alternatives which have more or less resemblance to each other. An important mathematical tool used by decision-makers (DMs) to quan- tify these resemblances is the similarity measure (SM). SM is a powerful tool that measures the resemblance more accurately. Mostly, fuzzy sets (FSs) and its extensions handle the vague and uncertain information by considering the membership, non-membership, and indeterminacy degrees whose sum always lies in the interval [0; 1]. However, single-valued neutrosophic sets (SVNSs) and interval-valued neutrosophic sets (IVNSs) have information whose sum is bounded in [0; 3]. In the present work, we extended the SM presented by William and Steel for SVNSs and IVNSs by using the concept of Euclidean distance. The weights of criteria indicate much inuence for the selection of the best alternative, sometimes DMs feel hesitation to allocate the weights to the criteria. We applied the linear programming (LP) model to evaluate the weights of the criteria to reduce the hesitancy. Later on, SM is utilized to establish an MCDM model for the selection of the best option. Moreover, the Spearman's rank correlation coe_cient is implemented to analyze the ranking order. Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is a single strained RNA virus. It is one of the leading cause of liver-related mortality worldwide. Globally, 115 million people are infected with HCV. This study aims to find the maximum possibility of occurrence of HCV causes, genotypes and variables gender wise using TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution). Our findings shows that, if a nation controls on intravenous drug users then they would be able to save the male community and in case of blood transfusion and other causes women would be saved by implementing hygienic policies in clinics. Whereas, in case of genotype 1 women are on the top and in all other genotypes men are on top. In case of HAI, by applying TOPSIS we figure out that, the severity of the disease is present in women as relative closeness coefficient was higher for women in case of HAI (greater than equal to 7) as compared to men. Fibrosis score (1-2) are reported in case of infected women and (3-4) are reported in case of infected men. We proposed that, in order to decrease rate of HCV infections, results of different mathematical model like TOPSIS should be utilized to suggest precautions to an infected individual. Type-2 intuitionistic fuzzy sets are proposed as functions from non empty set U to T T where T = { (μ , ν) : μ + ν ≤ 1 , μ ≥ 0 , ν ≥ 0 } and T T is the set of all mappings from T to T . The members of T T are called intuitionistic fuzzy values (IFV). In this paper, we develop a mathematical framework for IFVs by defining a set of generalized operations on T T and proved it to be an algebra. The other important properties like convexity, normality of IFVs and many important subalgebras are also explored and studied. We propose notions of some distance measures between two hesitant intuitionistic fuzzy linguistic term sets (HIFLTSs). Weighted distance measures between two collections of HIFLTSs are also proposed and analyzed for discrete and continuous cases. Based on the proposed distance measures, the relative closeness (RC) coefficients for different alternatives are established and then used to rank the alternatives in a multi-criteria group decision-making problem. Furthermore, a comparison between the RC coefficients of alternatives by using the proposed distance measures for different values of the risk factor parameter is given graphically. In this article, hesitant 2-tuple linguistic arguments are used to evaluate the group decision making problems which have inter dependent or inter active attributes. Operational laws are developed for hesitant 2-tuple linguistic elements and based on these operational laws hesitant 2-tuple weighted averaging operator and generalized hesitant 2- tuple averaging operator are proposed. Combining Choquet integral with hesitant 2-tuple linguistic information, some new aggregation operators are defined, including the hesitant 2-tuple correlated averaging operator, the hesitant 2-tuple correlated geometric operator and the generalized hesitant 2-tuple correlated averaging operator. These proposed operators successfully manage the correlations among the elements. After investigating the properties of these operators, a multiple attribute decision making method based on these operators, is suggested. This work is conducted with the aim of using waste material to reserve the natural resources. The objective is accomplished by conducting experimentation and verify by modeling based on fuzzy logic. In experimentation, concrete is casted by using natural/river sand as fine aggregate and termed as control specimen. Natural sand is conserved by replacing it with used foundry sand (UFS) by an amount of 10, 20 and 30% by weight. Fresh and hardened properties of concrete are investigated at different ages. It is observed that compressive strength and modulus of elasticity reduced with the increase in amount of UFS. Furthermore, concrete compressive strength is predicted by using fuzzy logic model and verified at different replacement ratio and age with experimental observations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
