This text is a presentation within the context of the Philosophy class at the Polytechnic High School in Castro, Chiloé. The au-thors seek to reflect on the relationship between philosophy and food, based on the culture of the Chiloé archipelago, for the purpose of interpreting how philosophy has taken food and in-corporated it into its theories and analyses to propose a didactic perspective that allows us to discern a fundamental element that transcends mere nourishment and serves as a basis for life in this land. The significance of this proposal is its potential to create a philosophy that aligns with the community’s and its students’ interests. It is imperative now that the subject has become part of the mandatory national curriculum, enabling previously marginalized students to engage with its study. Finally, it calls upon philosophy teacher training institutions and the State due to the lack of teachers to teach this subject at a national level., El siguiente texto corresponde a una presentación en el contexto de la asignatura de Filosofía en el Liceo Politécnico de Castro, Chiloé. En ella los autores buscan reflexionar sobre la relación entre la filosofía y la alimentación, teniendo como fundamento la cultura del archipiélago de Chiloé. El objetivo del texto es interpretar el modo en que la filosofía se ha hecho cargo de la comida, incorporándola a sus teorías y análisis para, desde ahí, proponer una perspectiva didáctica que permita valorar un elemento fundamental que trasciende lo meramente alimenticio y que configura una base del habitar en dicho territorio. La importancia de esta propuesta es que permite el desarrollo de una filosofía en diálogo con los intereses de la comunidad y sus estudiantes. Esto resulta central en el contexto actual donde la asignatura ha quedado incorporada en el currículo obligatorio nacional, permitiendo que accedan a su aprendizaje estudiantes que hasta el momento se encontraban excluidos de ella. Finalmente, plantea una apelación a las instituciones formadoras de profesores/as de Filosofía y al Estado, debido a la carencia de docentes para enseñar dicha asignatura a nivel nacional.

Background: Luminal A tumours generally have a favourable prognosis but possess the highest 10‐year recurrence risk among breast cancers. Additionally, a quarter of the recurrence cases occur within 5 years post‐diagnosis. Identifying such patients is crucial as long‐term relapsers could benefit from extended hormone therapy, while early relapsers might require more aggressive treatment. Methods: We conducted a study to explore non‐structural chromosome maintenance condensin I complex subunit H’s (NCAPH) role in luminal A breast cancer pathogenesis, both in vitro and in vivo, aiming to identify an intratumoural gene expression signature, with a focus on elevated NCAPH levels, as a potential marker for unfavourable progression. Our analysis included transgenic mouse models overexpressing NCAPH and a genetically diverse mouse cohort generated by backcrossing. A least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) multivariate regression analysis was performed on transcripts associated with elevated intratumoural NCAPH levels. Results: We found that NCAPH contributes to adverse luminal A breast cancer progression. The intratumoural gene expression signature associated with elevated NCAPH levels emerged as a potential risk identifier. Transgenic mice overexpressing NCAPH developed breast tumours with extended latency, and in Mouse Mammary Tumor Virus (MMTV)‐NCAPH ErbB2 double‐transgenic mice, luminal tumours showed increased aggressiveness. High intratumoural Ncaph levels correlated with worse breast cancer outcome and subpar chemotherapy response. A 10‐gene risk score, termed Gene Signature for Luminal A 10 (GSLA10), was derived from the LASSO analysis, correlating with adverse luminal A breast cancer progression. Conclusions: The GSLA10 signature outperformed the Oncotype DX signature in discerning tumours with unfavourable outcomes, previously categorised as luminal A by Prediction Analysis of Microarray 50 (PAM50) across three independent human cohorts. Various static and dynamic properties of the binary compounds Fex Ni1 – x , x = 1, 0.90, 0.85, at the thermodynamic state of 1875 K and 0 GPa have been studied, combining first principles molecular dynamics techniques with Machine Learning. The total and global structure factors reveal practically no change in the internal structure of these systems, and the diffusion coefficients indicate a lower mobility of the iron atoms as nickel is added. We also show results for the adiabatic speed of sound and shear viscosity, comparing them with the available experimental measurements, showing a decreasing trend in viscosity and an increasing trend in the speed of sound as nickel is added, highlighting the use of Machine Learning in the calculation of the latter, which has allowed to obtain notably more precise results., Se han estudiado diversas propiedades estáticas y dinámicas de los compuestos binarios Fex Ni1 – x , x = 1, 0.90, 0.85, en el estado termodinámico de 1875 K y 0 GPa, combinando técnicas de dinámica molecular de primeros principios con Machine Learning. Los factores de estructura totales y globales revelan un cambio prácticamente nulo en la estructura interna de dichos sistemas, y los coeficientes de difusión indican una menor movilidad de los átomos de hierro a medida que se añade níquel. Introduction. Mobile applications represent a promising alternative for providing support in the management of Dengue patients. However, the usability of these tools in Peru is unknown. Objectives. To evaluate the usability and usage recommendations of the Dengue ONQOY application in managing Dengue patients in rural areas of Peru. Methods. A qualitative study was conducted, which included semi-structured interviews with 8 experts in Dengue management. Data were coded using Atlas.Ti software. Three categories were assessed: (1) informative usability (2) design usability, and (3) recommendations for improvement. Results. Three key aspects were highlighted. (1) The application is perceived as valuable for first- level doctors in peripheral areas with limited Dengue experience due to its personalized approach and academic value. (2) Its ease of use and practicality were emphasized, although connectivity limitations in some areas were noted. (3) Recommendations for improvement included the inclusion of differential diagnoses, additional risk factors, updated references, hydration guidelines, and medication dosages. Conclusions. Dengue ONQOY is considered highly usable by doctors treating Dengue cases at the primary care level in Peru. Despite connectivity limitations and potential design improvements, its development and implementation offer a promising alternative for managing Dengue patients in the country in this field., Introducción. Las aplicaciones móviles representan una alternativa prometedora para brindar soporte en la gestión de pacientes con dengue. Sin embargo, se desconoce la usabilidad de estas herramientas en el Perú. Objetivo. Evaluar la usabilidad y las recomendaciones de uso de la aplicación Dengue ONQOY en la gestión de pacientes con dengue en zonas rurales de Perú. Métodos. Se realizó un estudio cualitativo que incluyó entrevistas semiestructuradas a 8 expertos en el tratamiento del dengue, los datos fueron codificados mediante el programa Atlas. Ti. Fueron evaluadas tres categorías: (1) usabilidad informativa, (2) usabilidad de diseño y (3) recomendaciones para su mejoramiento. Resultados. Se destacaron tres aspectos clave: (1) la aplicación es percibida como valiosa para los médicos de primer nivel en áreas periféricas con poca experiencia en dengue debido a su enfoque personalizado y valor académico; (2) se destacó su facilidad de uso y practicidad, aunque se señaló la limitación de la conectividad en algunas áreas; y, (3) se recomendó la inclusión de diagnósticos diferenciales, factores de riesgo adicionales, referencias actualizadas, guías de hidratación y dosis de medicamentos para mejorar la aplicación. Conclusión. Dengue ONQOY fue considerado altamente utilizable por médicos que atienden casos de dengue en el primer nivel de atención en Perú. A pesar de las limitaciones relacionadas con la conectividad y las posibles mejoras en su diseño, su desarrollo e implementación ofrecen una alternativa prometedora para el manejo de pacientes con Dengue en el país

SNAI2 overexpression appears to be associated with poor prognosis in breast cancer, yet it remains unclear in which breast cancer subtypes this occurs. Here we show that excess SNAI2 is associated with a poor prognosis of luminal B HER2+/ERBB2+ breast cancers in which SNAI2 expression in the stroma but not the epithelium correlates with tumor proliferation. To determine how stromal SNAI2 might influence HER2+ tumor behavior, Snai2-deficient mice were crossed with a mouse line carrying the ErbB2/Neu protooncogene to generate HER2+/ERBB2+ breast cancer. Tumors generated in this model expressed SNAI2 in the stroma but not the epithelium, allowing for the role of stromal SNAI2 to be studied without interference from the epithelial compartment. The absence of SNAI2 in the stroma of HER2+/ERBB2+ tumors is associated with: (i) lower levels of cyclin D1 (CCND1) and reduced tumor epithelium proliferation; (ii) higher levels of AKT and a lower incidence of metastasis; (iii) lower levels of angiopoietin-2 (ANGPT2), and more necrosis. Together, these results indicate that the loss of SNAI2 in cancer-associated fibroblasts limits the production of some cytokines, which influences AKT/ERK tumor signaling and subsequent proliferative and metastatic capacity of ERBB2+ breast cancer cells. Accordingly, SNAI2 expression in the stroma enhanced the tumorigenicity of luminal B HER2+/ERBB2+ breast cancers.
