Metasurface‐based holography provides tremendous advances in multi‐dimensional detection, super‐resolution imaging, and cryptography applications. Current mainstream researches on holographic metasurface are primarily focused on exploring degrees of freedom to enhance information multiplexing capability. Nevertheless, from the information security point of view, it is necessary to integrate existing available freedom resources, such as multi‐polarization components, to enhance the security of holographic encryption. Herein, a full‐polarimetric synthetization scheme is proposed for holographic displaying to develop a novel approach for information and imaging encryption. By exploiting chirality‐assisted metasurface as the implementation platform, quadruplex circular polarization components are independently phase‐modulated with separate holographic sub‐imaging. For an intuitive demonstration, linear polarization is set as the encoded state to acquire the synthesized intensity image with "HIT" characters. Hence, the output holographic information in transmission field can be successfully distinguished with the valid polarization. Additionally, the sensitivity and robustness property of the synthesized holographic performance is experimentally evaluated against ergodic elliptical polarization states, where the optimal performance of working efficiency and signal‐to‐noise ratio only appear under the preset linear polarizations. These results effectively prove the feasibility of the polarization integration hologram, opening the door to novel solutions for future full‐polarimetric encryption strategies. Background: Diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) are a life-threatening ailment caused by diabetes. Several growth factors, as well as their various combinations, have shown promising effect in aiding diabetic foot ulcer healing. However, contradictory or paradoxical results are often available, and debates about this issue are ongoing. Therefore, a comprehensive meta-analysis was performed to compare the efficacy and safety of epidermal growth factor (EGF) and placebo in healing diabetic foot ulcers. Methods: The database search included relevant English literature from Cochrane Library, PubMed, Google Scholar, Elsevier, and EMBASE that was published between 2009 and 2021. Inclusion criteria included type 1 and 2 diabetic patients with foot wounds focusing on complete healing rate. Exclusion criteria included combined therapy, non-human studies, reviews, and protocols. To assess the quality of each study, biases regarding random sequence generation, allocation concealment, participant and personnel blinding, outcome assessment blinding and incomplete outcome data were thoroughly identified. Results: Eight randomized control trials comprising 620 patients (337 in EGF group, 283 in placebo group), were included in this meta-analysis. EGF achieved a significantly higher complete healing rate than placebo after four weeks of treatment, with relative risk (RR): 3.04 (0.50, 18.44) and heterogeneity (Chi 2 = 6.46, df = 2 (P = 0.04) I 2 = 69 %). Notably, the healing frequency in the placebo group was 17%, whereas the healing frequency in the epidermal growth factor group was 34%. Likewise, after eight weeks of treatment, the relative risk and heterogeneity were RR: 2.59 (1.42, 4.72) and (Chi 2 =7.92, df= 4 (p= 0.09): I 2= 49%), respectively. Moreover, the risk ratio at 12 weeks was RR: 1.01 (0.42, 2.46), and heterogeneity was (Chi 2 =8.55, df= 2 (p= 0.01): I 2= 77%). Conclusions: Our findings indicate that EGF significantly promotes wound healing, and could be recommended as an effective and safe treatment for DFUs.

In the face of the challenges posed by the advent of 5G, Internet of Things (IoT) and requirements of future communication generations, the urgent need for cutting‐edge technologies capable of adapting their operation to a variety of dynamic tasks for efficient signal propagation management is clear. Connected intelligent metasurfaces, distinguished by their ability to dynamically and autonomously adapt their responses, and able to interact with an external uncontrollable and fast‐changing communication environment to benefit from collective intelligence so as to determine the required action, are emerging as an innovative solution in this field. Herein, an intelligent connected system based on a programmable metasurface reflector, is presented and assessed in two scenarios simulating dynamic uplink and downlink communications. For the uplink configuration, the metasurface is exploited for the estimation of the direction of arrival (DOA) of an incoming wave, while for the downlink scenario, it enables the automated tracking of mobile targets using global positioning system (GPS) data updated from a real‐time database. Experimental results highlight the responsiveness of the metasurface and demonstrate efficiency in wave focusing and mobile target tracking. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The survival of life on earth depends on aeeess to water. The overgrowth population has seriously affeeted water quality, urbanization, rapid growth in industrialization and other human aetivities equally involved in water eontamination. Heavy metals are a group of metals and metalloids with greater atomie density. These metals are toxie in nature, even at very low eoneentration and eauses serious health issues to humans and animals. Industrial diseharge and agrieultural runoff are the main sources of these heavy metals entering the aquatie system. Drinkable water has beeome a ehallenge for developing eountries like Pakistan. Heavy metals sueh as Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Pb, Co, Mn, Hg, Ni and Zn were used in their study. Their study revealed that, the eoneentrations of heavy metals were eompared to those of national and international ageneies as WHO (2008), USEPA, EUC and EPA. in the research area varied in provinees with maximum admissible and desirable limits and some were within the permissible limit.
