Herbal medicinal plants have been explored for a variety of pharmacological properties but still a large number of phytoconstituents are still unexplored. The manuscript aims to assess the anticancer property of Leucas cephalotes (Roth) Spreng, Acalypha indica L. and Lantana camara L. extracts on MDA-MB-231, A-549, PC-3 and Hep-G2 cell lines. The ethanol extract of the selected plants was explored for anticancer activity by SRB assay. Since L. camara exhibited promising activity, this plant’s successive extraction in diff erent extracts (n-hexane, chloroform, ethanol and hydroalcoholic) was further studied. All the extracts were screened for anticancer activity by SRB assay on MDA-MB-231 and A-549 cell lines. Additionally, the apoptotic assay was carried out on n-hexane and chloroform extracts on A-549 cell lines. GCMS also analyzed both extracts for characterization of the phytoconstituents. Obtained data indicate that n-Hexane and chloroform extracts of L. camara showed promising anticancer activity on MDA-MB-231 and A-549 cell lines. Both extracts also induced apoptosis in A-549 cell line. GC-MS data of L. camara extracts revealed the presence of 25 and 19 compounds in n-hexane and chloroform extract, respectively. The present study shows that L. camara has strong anticancer properties against lung cancer cell lines compared to breast, prostate, and hepatoma cancer cell lines

From last 25 years that many researchers have developed the novel reactive dyes with modification in structure of reactive dyes. In the present review paper concentrated development of reactive dyes. The review paper is focused on the highlight such dyes have having excellent dyeing properties and wet-fastness properties. This review paper express the monstrous impression of reactive dyes on the textiles coloration industry. Particularized details are given regarding evolution in the chemistry of reactive structure systems. It is additionally mentioned pointed out that advance research is mandatory to enhance dye fixation and wet-fastness properties. Reactive dyes have been used for the past hundred years for dyeing of cellulosic fabrics. A reactive dye has a chromophore, which is a group or an atom that is responsible for the dye’s colour. It has a component which reacts with the fabric or substrate. They have excellent fastness features due to the presence of covalent bonds that takes place during dyeing. The dyeing industry is dominated by the parties who can create dyes having excellent dyeing efficiency, stable, can be resistant to chemical actions and be affordable. In this review on development of synthesis reactive dyes has been provided. This review paper concentrated on research of reactive groups type.

Objective: To evaluate the efficiency of Carica papaya extract in differentiating stem cells into platelets. Methods: The bioactive compounds of C. papaya leaf extract were screened by biochemical and LCMS-MS methods. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) were cultured with and without C. papaya leaf extract and observed for megakaryocyte-mediated platelet differentiation. The microscopy and flow cytometer analysis were performed from day 0 to day 12. Results: The biochemical and LCMS-MS screening of C. papaya leaf extract confirmed the presence of alkaloids, saponins, glycosides, steroids, flavonoids, phlobatanins and anthracyanine. When treated with leaf extract (50µg), the MSCs differentiated into megakaryocytes and platelets. Conclusion: The present study has shown the effect of C. papaya leaf extract in MSCs differentiating into platelets. Since the crude extract of the leaf was used, the bioactive compound(s) responsible for platelet production is yet to be confirmed.

Recommender systems play a vital role in providing users with personalized information and enhancing their browsing experiences. However, despite the advancements in collaborative filtering techniques, several challenges persist in movie recommendation systems, including the cold start problem, scalability limitations, and data sparsity. The cold start problem arises when there is insufficient data to establish connections between users and items, resulting in inaccurate recommendations. Data sparsity further complicates the issue by making it difficult to identify reliable similar users due to the limited ratings provided by active users. Scalability poses yet another challenge, as real-time environments with a high number of users and extensive data processing requirements struggle to deliver efficient recommendations. To address these issues, this paper proposes a semantic approach that leverages singular value decomposition (SVD), a matrix factorization technique. By applying SVD, the system reduces the dimensionality of the data, overcoming the limitations of the cold start problem, scalability, and data sparsity. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed system, showcasing improved recommendation accuracy and the ability to generate reliable suggestions even in situations with limited data. Moreover, the system showcases scalability by efficiently processing large volumes of data in real-time, ensuring seamless user experiences. Overall, this semantic approach offers a comprehensive solution to tackle the challenges of scalability, data sparsity, and the cold start problem in movie recommendation systems, potentially enhancing user satisfaction and recommendation quality.

The adoption of Aluminum Metal Matrix composites has gained popularity and widespread application in view of their light weight and superior mechanical strength compared to the un-reinforced alloy system. Much improved characteristics have been derived based on the adoption of secondary processes such as rolling, forming, drawing and plastic deformation. In this context, the preparation of Al2024 alloy, containing Beryl particles as reinforcement is envisaged for getting better properties in terms of strength and hardness for structural use in aerospace industry. Further enhancement in properties to strengthen the alloy may be possible by subjecting it to severe plastic deformation, especially Equal Channel Angular Pressing (ECAP) process. The present work focuses on developing Al 2024 alloy composites containing Beryl particles at 6 wt.%, through stir cast method. This is followed by ECAP process carried out in the annealed condition. This facility has been designed and developed in house. Following this, the mechanical properties, involving tensile strength, % elongation & hardness have been evaluated for the ECAP processed Al2024 Beryl samples and the values thus obtained are compared with those derived on samples without Beryl additions. The microstructures of the samples, for key stages of the work, have been recorded. Further, the fracture morphology of ECAP processed samples have been examined and analyzed using SEM/EDAX and correlated with the tensile strength data. The ECAP with pass II processed samples have shown higher tensile strength and hardness as well as good grain refinement in the matrix compared to annealed Al alloy sample.

Even in the 21st century, the whole world faces the challenges of getting good- quality food, medicines and a sustainable livelihood based on nature. All are available in our forest in the form of non-timber forest products (NTFP). Therefore, keeping this in view, an attempt has been made to enumerate the common NTFP collected by tribal communities of Mayurbhanj district, Odisha, India. Survey was carried out during 2021-2022 and enumerated 15 common NTFP used by the Santhal community. Results revealed that all reported NTFPs have economic value. Therefore, the present study suggests to do value addition of enumerated NTFPs to get organic foods and medicines that could be useful to provide a livelihood.

Mimicking birds to enhance aerodynamic efficiencies of modern day aircrafts is a method that has seen major applications in the aerospace industry. Birds, due to their feathers, muscles and distinct morphologies tend to utilize methods that are otherwise impractical to incorporate in aircrafts due to limitations in terms of structure and materials. Yet, major influences are seen in many aircrafts that are inspired by the aerodynamic features of avian beings. Morphing is a major method that helps aircrafts make changes to their components, such as their wings to adapt or adjust to their varying flight conditions for efficient control and performance. In this paper, a mechanism is designed that aims at using morphing techniques to mimic a bird’s tail. The main purpose of this design is to achieve yaw control and directional stability in absence of a rudder and with the aid of the horizontal stabilizer solely. This article presents a novel waveform engineered sequential load modulated balanced amplifier (W-SLMBA) that uses a continuous Class-F⁻¹ control amplifier (CA) to manipulate the impedance trajectory of the balanced amplifier (BA). It is demonstrated that the use of the continuous Class-F⁻¹ CA can trigger a unique impedance load modulation mechanism by which the fundamental impedance of the BA is shaped by the varying second-harmonic load reactance of the CA. Theoretical derivations reveal that this special load modulation yields extended design space for the LMBA, in which high efficiency can be achieved over wide bandwidth and output power back-off (OPBO). A prototype operating from 1.80 to 2.75 GHz is designed following the proposed theory. The implemented LMBA achieves a measured drain efficiency (DE) of 60.2%-68.3% at saturation and 51.8%-69.0% at 8-dB OPBO. When tested with a 100-MHz long-term evolution (LTE) signal having peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of 8 dB, the proposed LMBA achieves 50.2%-59.1% average DE and better than -45.1-dBc adjacent channel power ratio (ACPR) across the target bandwidth after digital predistortion (DPD).

Delta wing has numerous applications across aerospace vehicles. Highly inclined and variable swept back wings have a lot of added advantages in maneuverable fighter airplanes, supersonic cruise airliner and modern unmanned aerial vehicles that have been equipped with and have deployed low swept back delta wings. Vortex flow across these delta wings is dominant for micro aerial vehicles and mini unmanned aerial vehicles flying at a low speed Reynolds number regime. Many experiments were carried out to study and analyze the aerodynamic flow parameters of delta wings wherein vortex sheet flow patterns were observed and studied at different angles of attack and flow parameters. In this paper we are plotting lift co efficient and drag co efficient for a flat delta wing with and without winglets at different angles of attack under low Reynolds numbers. Furthermore, simulations are carried out to draw comparisons between the winglets on the basis of span-wise flow velocity vectors.
