Diagnosis. This genus can be distinguished from other genera of Banchini by the following combination of character states: labrum less than 0.7 �� as long as height of head, not developed into a long tongue; epicnemial carina present (Fig. 6); upper tooth of mandible about same length as lower tooth; lower part of occipital carina joining hypostomal carina above base of mandible; flagellum usually long and slender; laterotergites of T2 and T3 less than 0.3 �� as wide as long; anterior end of vein cu-a of fore wing opposite or distad from posterior end of vein Rs+M; ovipositor sheath 0.14 to 1.8 (usually ca. 0.3) �� as long as hind tibia (after Townes, 1970). Distribution. Worldwide excluding the Australasian and Antarctic regions. Remarks. Exetastes fuKuchiyamanus Uchida, 1928 (Figs 14���18) Exetastes fukuchiyamanus Uchida, 1928: 270. Description. Female (n=12). Body length 11.0��� 14.5 mm. Head 0.5���0.6 �� as long as wide, covered with dense punctures and dark brown setae. Clypeus 0.5 �� as long as wide, slightly convex in lateral view. Face 0.5 �� as long as wide, convex medially (Fig. 15). Length of malar space 0.5���0.6 �� as long as basal mandibular width. Mandible not strongly twisted. OOL 0.7���0.9 �� as long as POL. Antenna with 74���79 flagellomeres. FL1 2.0���2.2 �� as long as FL2. Apical flagellomeres not widened, length more than width (or same). Mesosoma covered with dense punctures and dark brown setae. Epomia absent. Pleural carina of propodeum entirely strong. Propodeum covered with irregular rugae, with a pair of longitudinal ridges medially, with a pair of sublateral convexities. Fore wing length 10.0��� 11.5 mm. Vein 1m-cu with a ramulus. Areolet large, receiving vein 2m-cu at middle. Vein Rs strongly sinuate basally. Hind femur 6.4���6.9 �� as long as maximum depth in lateral view. Longest spur of hind tibia shorter than half length of first tarsomere. Hind first tarsomere 2.2���2.3 �� as long as second tarsomere. Tarsal claws pectinate. Metasoma weakly polished, more or less shagreened, covered with fine and sparse punctures, dull surface (Fig. 16). T1 2.4���2.6 �� as long as maximum width, covered with minute and transverse striae basally. T2 1.0���1.1 �� as long as maximum width. T4-T7 weakly compressed. Ovipositor sheath 0.3 �� as long as hind tibia, weakly widened apically, covered with brown setae. Colouration (Figs 14���16). Body (excluding wings and legs) black, except for: clypeus sometimes tinged with whitish-brown ventrally; mandible with whitish-yellow spot dorsomedially; mandibular teeth tinged with reddishbrown; antenna with a median white band; medial part of collar sometimes tinged with whitish-yellow; subalar prominence sometimes tinged with reddish-brown; scutellum with a yellow spot; ovipositor reddish-brown. Wings hyaline. Veins and pterostigma blackish-brown except for yellowish-brown wing base. Legs black to blackishbrown except for: fore and mid femora, tibia and tarsus partly tinged with brown to yellowish-brown; apical part of second tarsomere, third and fourth tarsomeres whitish-yellow to white. Sometimes apical part of hind first tarsomere also whitish-yellow to white. Male (n=112). Similar to female. Face 0.5���0.6 �� as long as wide. OOL 0.9���1.0 �� as long as POL. Punctures on metasomal tergites denser than female. Clypeus yellow to whitish-yellow dorsally (Fig. 18). Face with a pair of yellow to whitish-yellow stripes along inner margin (Fig. 18). Mandible with a large whitish-yellow area basally (Fig. 18). Ventral surface of scape sometimes yellow to whitish-yellow. Yellow area on collar larger than female but not as enlarged as in E. compressus sp. nov. Posterodorsal corner of pronotum, subalar prominence and tegula whitish-yellow (Fig. 17). Fore and mid coxae and trochanters with a conspicuous whitish-yellow marking. Hind fifth tarsomere yellow to whitish-yellow (Fig. 17). Wings hyaline. Veins and pterostigma blackish-brown except for yellowishbrown wing base. Legs black to blackish-brown except for: apical part of fore femur, fore and mid tibiae and tarsi more or less tinged with yellowish-brown; hind second to fourth tarsomeres whitish-yellow to white. Male (n=55). Similar to female. Body length 8.9���9.5 mm. Fore wing length 7.5���7.8 mm. Antenna with 49���55 flagellomeres. Lower-lateral portion of face, median portion of mandible, anterior and posterior sides of fore coxa, apical portion of mid coxa, ventral-apical portions of fore and mid femora, fore and mid tibiae and first to fourth tarsomeres, posterolateral portions of propodeum white (Figs 11���13). Distribution. Japan (Honshu) and China (Beijing, Hubei, and Liaoning). Bionomics. The host is unknown. All of adult wasps collected in autumn. Etymology. The specific name is from the strongly compressed metasomal tergites. Remarks. We recognized only a single female from Japan and thus this species may be rare in Japan. The responses of adult ichneumonids to colors were studied through comparing the effectiveness of standardized interception traps in seven different colors, in Liupanshan, Daxinggou and Xinbin (China). The captured ichneumonids belonged to 13 subfamilies: Anomaloninae, Banchinae, Campopleginae, Cryptinae, Ctenopelmatinae, Diplazontinae, Ichneumoninae, Mesochorinae, Ophioninae, Orthocentrinae, Phrudinae, Pimplinae, and Tryphoninae. Field trapping results indicated that yellow and green traps collected more ichneumonids than did the traps of other colors. Black was the least efficient color for collecting ichneumonids in Liupanshan and Xinbin. The most frequently collected specimens were from the subfamilies Ctenopelmatinae, Campopleginae and Cryptinae, while the least frequently collected were from Phrudinae, Ophioninae and Diplazontinae in Liupanshan and Xinbin. In Daxinggou, black and yellow traps collected more ichneumonids than did other color traps, with white traps collecting the least. Most captured ichneumonids at this site were from Campopleginae and Cryptinae, whereas only a small number of specimens were collected from Banchinae, Phrudinae, Ophioninae and Diplazontinae were collected.

Second tergite 1.8 �� as long as apical width. Posteromedian portions of tergites 6 to 7 largely membraneous. A pair of submedian triangular spots of mesoscutum, scutellum except lateral and apical margins dark brown. Lower corner of mesopleuron, a large spot of metapleuron whitish yellow. Propodeum black with whitish yellow large markings on third lateral area. Hind coxa mainly black, hind tarsomeres 2���4 whitish yellow. Subocular sulcus absent. Second tergite (Fig. 33) slightly shagreened, with unclear granulose sculpture, approximately 1.7 × as long as apical width. Propodeal spiracle oval, 2.1 × as long as wide. Metapleuron black, with large median white spot. Hind second to fourth tarsomeres white. Etymology The specific name is derived from the type locality. Interocellar area convex, postocellar line approximately 1.6 × as long as ocular-ocellar line. Frons almost flat, upper portion with sculpture as vertex, lower median portion smooth, concave. Antenna with 34 flagellomeres, slightly widened beyond meddle, apically cylindrical. Ratios of lengths from first to fifth flagellomeres: 9.5: 7.4: 6.7: 6.3: 5.7. Occipital carina thin, complete, lower end reaching base of mandible. MESOSOMA. Pronotum (Fig. 30) almost smooth, with indistinct fine punctures dorso-posteriorly. Epomia distinct. Mesoscutum convex, shagreened. Notaulus distinct, reaching to line between anterior margins of tegulae. Scutoscutellar groove smooth. Scutellum almost flat, with weak fine punctures; lateral carina approximately 0.7 × length of scutellum. Postscutellum almost shiny, evenly transversely convex; anterior margin shallowly concave. Mesopleuron (Fig. 31) slightly shagreened; medially with fine transverse wrinkles; antero-dorsally, beneath subalar prominence, with fine oblique longitudinal wrinkles. Speculum with distinct fine punctures. Upper end of epicnemial carina reaching about 0.5 height of posterior margin of pronotum, distant from front margin of mesopleuron. Metapleuron shagreened, with indistinct, irregular short wrinkles; juxtacoxal carina anteriorly present; juxtacoxal area smooth, shiny. Submetapleural carina complete, strong. Wings slightly brownish, hyaline. Fore wing with vein 1 cu-a opposite 1 -M. Areolet pentagonal, receiving vein 2 m-cu at its middle. 2 -cu as long as 2 cu-a. Area petiolaris with dense transverse wrinkles. Propodeal spiracle elliptical, maximum diameter approximately 2.1 × as long as minimum diameter, connected to pleural carina by carina. METASOMA. First tergite approximately 3.1 × as long as apical width; median dorsal, dorsolateral and ventrolateral carinae absent; petiole with dense fine punctures; postpetiole shagreened, hind margin smooth, sides convergent posteriorly. Tergites 2 to 4 almost parallel-sided. Tergites 2, 3 (Fig. 33) shagreened. Tergite 2 approximately 1.7 × as long as apical width; thyridia approximately 1.8 × as wide as distance between thyridia, about as wide as distance to base of second tergite; spiracle located at basal 0.45. Tergite 3 approximately 1.3 × as long as maximum width. Tergite 4 with sculpture as tergite 3, posteriorly with more or less distinct fine punctures, 0.9 × as long as maximum width. Tergite 5 (Fig. 34) almost shiny, slightly shagreened, with sparse, fine punctures, apical margin with small median membranous area. Tergite 6 slightly shagreened and sparsely punctate, with large apical median membranous area. Ovipositor sheath approximately as long as apical depth of metasoma, slightly widened apically. Ovipositor curved upwards, upper valve with transverse ridges; lower valves with oblique longitudinal ridges. COLOR (Fig. 27). Black, except following: flagellomeres 8–14 dorsally, hind tarsomere 1 apically, 2–4, and tarsomere 5 basally white. Following yellowish white: face, except small median brown black spot, clypeus, except smooth brown apical margin, mandible, except apical teeth, malar area, gena, except dorso-posteriorly, lateral wide longitudinal band of frons, anterior margin and upper posterior portion of pronotum, small submedian spot of mesoscutum, subalar ridge, large irregular transverse band ventrally on mesopleuron, upper division of metapleuron, large median spot of metapleuron, scutellum, postscutellum, area posteroexterna of propodeum, fore and mid coxae and trochanters, hind coxa dorsally, basally, dorsal spot of hind first trochanter, basal median spot and apical transverse band of tergite 2. Fore and mid legs ventrally, except mentioned above, light brown, dorsally blurry dark brown. Hind trochantellus, hind femur basally and ventrally, hind tibia ventrally on basal half red brown. Hind tibia brown-black basally, dorsally. Thyridia, tergite 3 posteriorly and subsequent tergites more or less dark brown. Pterostigma brown. Veins brown-black. Male Body length approximately 9.0 mm. Fore wing length approximately 6.5 mm. Antenna with 30 flagellomeres. Fore wing with vein 1 cu-a slightly basal to 1 -M. Face entirely, mesopleuron except upper margin, mesosternum yellowish white. Remarks This new species is similar to N. polyambonios Kusigemati, 1986 and N. albimaculatus Sheng & Sun sp. nov., but can easily be distinguished from N. polyambonios by tergite 5 (Fig. 34) slightly shagreened, with sparse, fine punctures, apical margin with very small median membranous area; tergite 5 of N. polyambonios smooth, with very large median membranous area. This new species can be distinguished from N. albimaculatus sp. nov. by the following combination of characters: tergites 2 (Fig. 33) approximately 1.7 × as long as apical width; metapleuron with large median white spot; apical margin of tergite 5 with very small median membranous area; hind tarsomere 1 apically, 2–4, and tarsomere 5 basally white. N. albimaculatus sp. nov.: tergite 2 (Fig. 8) approximately 2.1 × as long as maximum width; Metapleuron entirely blackish brown; hind tarsus brown.

Clypeus 2.1 �� as wide as long, basal portion with sculpture as face, apical portion smooth; lateral portion of apical margin oblique straight, median portion slightly evenly concave. Subbase of mandible slightly convex, upper tooth almost as long as lower tooth. Subocular sulcus absent. Malar space approximately 0.6 �� as long as basal width of mandible. Gena (Fig. 13) widened, evenly convex, smooth, shiny, with sparse, indistinct punctures. Vertex (Fig. 14) shiny, with sparse shallow punctures. Interocellar area with indistinct longitudinal wrinkles, impunctate. Postocellar line approximately 0.5 �� as long as ocularocellar line. Frons with strong transverse wrinkles; lateral and lower portions almost smooth, shiny. Antenna (Fig. 15) with 39 flagellomeres, apical portion distinctly flattened below. Upper anterior and median portions of mesopleuron (Fig. 18) with transverse wrinkles; upper median with indistinct punctures; lower portion slightly shagreened, irregularly finely reticulate. Speculum small. Upper end of epicnemial carina reaching about 0.4 height of posterior margin of pronotum. Metapleuron convex, with dense, illdefined punctures; anterior margin with short transverse wrinkles. Juxtacoxal carina absent. Juxtacoxal area shiny, with oblique wrinkles dorsally, ventrally with sparse fine punctures. Submetapleural carina complete, strong. Wings brownish hyaline. Fore wing with vein 1 cu-a opposite 1 -M. Propodeum (Fig. 20) irregularly reticulate. Area superomedia almost complete, connecting costula at its anterior 0.35. Lateral longitudinal carina vestigial. Pleural carina complete, strong. Apical transverse carina absent. Propodeal crest strong. Maximum diameter of propodeal spiracle approximately 2.0�� as long as minimum diameter. METASOMA (Figs 21 ��� 22). First tergite 3.1 to 3.6 �� as long as apical width; median dorsal carina absent; dorsolateral carina weak, almost reaching to spiracle; petiole slightly shagreened; postpetiole with longitudinal wrinkles. Lateral sides of tergites 2 to 6 almost parallel. Second tergite coriaceous, with indistinct punctures, 1.5 �� as long as maximum width; thyridia approximately 1.4 �� as wide as distance between them, 0.9 �� as wide as distance to base of second tergite; spiracle located approximately at basal 0.4. Third tergite with same sculpture as second tergite; apically with distinct fine punctures; 0.9 �� as long as maximum width. Tergites 4 to 6 (Fig. 22) almost shiny. Tergite 4 with sparse, distinct punctures. Tergites 5 and 6 with large apical median membranous areas. Ovipositor sheath 0.7 �� as long as apical depth of metasoma, slightly widened apically. Ovipositor slightly curved upwards, upper and lower valves with distinct ridges. COLOR (Fig. 11). Black, except following: face except median longitudinal black band, clypeus except black apical margin and black brown along clypeal suture, maxillary and labial palpi, malar area, gena, frons laterally, pronotum anteriorly, tegula, subalar ridge, large upper-median and lower spots of mesopleuron, large median spot of metapleuron, large posterolateral spots of propodeum, anterior and middle coxae and trochanters, dorsal profile of hind coxa, dorsal spot of hind trochanter, small lateral and posterior median spots of postpetiole, white or slightly yellowish white. Flagellomeres 7 to 15 dorsally yellow-white; apically, ventrally reddish brown. Lateral spots of vertex, pronotum dorso-posteriorly, posterior margins of tergites 2 to 4 yellowish white. Submedian triangular spots of mesoscutum, scutellum, postscutellum yellow. Fore and mid femora and tibiae ventrally, hind femur, hind tibia except base, hind tarsus yellow brown. Fore and mid tibiae dorsally, fore and mid tarsi dark brown. Membranous areas of tergites 5 and 6 yellow. Median area of pterostigma red-brown. Veins brown black. Male Unknown. Holotype. female, CHINA: Fengtai Forest Farm, 35.52 ��N, 106.23 ��E, 2187m, Mt. Liupanshan, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, 29 June 2013, reared from Zeiraphera grisecana (H��bner) by De-Jia Li. Diaparsis (Diaparsis) pulchra Khalaim, 2011 (Figs 2, 5, 6) References: Khalaim 2011: 128; Balueva et al. 2013 b: 171; Sheng & Sun 2014: 317. Remarks. Diaparsis pulchra is closely related to the Trans-palaearctic species D. rara Horstmann, but differs by the characters given in the table below: Four specimens from the Russian Far East treated as D. rara, var. (Khalaim 2005: 423) really belong to D. pulchra. We confirm our earlier record of D. rara from Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region of China (Khalaim & Sheng 2009: 72). Variation. Sinophorus bazariae Sheng, sp. n. (Figs. 1 ���9,29) Etymology. The specific name is derived from the host���s generic name. Holotype. female, CHINA: Balong, 36.16 ��N, 97.45 ��E, 2860m, Dulan County, Qinghai Province, 29 September 2013, reared from Bazaria turensis Ragonot, 1887 by Mao-Ling Sheng and Tao Li. Paratype. 1 female, same data as holotype except 28 August 2013. Diagnosis. Areolet quadrangular, 2 rs-m approximately as long as 3 rs-m, receiving vein 2 m-cu approximately at lower centre. Hind femur approximately 4.2 x as long as widest width. Ovipositor sheath approximately as long as first tergite, 0.8 x as long as hind femur, 0.6 x as long as hind tibia; ovipositor straight. Basal end and median section of hind tibia white, subbase dark brown, apical portion black. outside of hind femur brown black, inner side dark red; all tergites entirely black. FIGURES 1���9. Inner margins of eyes slightly convergent downwards, indistinctly concave near antennal sockets. Face (Fig. 2) coriaceous, narrowest width approximately 0.92 x total length of face and clypeus; median portion slightly convex longitudinally, with distinct fine punctures. Clypeus with texture as that of face, punctures weak and sparse; apical margin smooth and shiny. Mandibles slightly convergent toward apex, basal portion almost smooth, with sparse, indistinct punctures. Upper tooth of mandible as long as lower tooth. Cheek slightly concave, finely granularly coriaceous. Malar space approximately 0.4 x as long as basal width of mandible. Gena smooth, with sparse fine punctures, upper portion strongly convergent backwardly, in lateral view approximately 0.8 x as long as width of eye. Vertex (Fig. 3) finely granularly coriaceous. Interocellar area weakly convex. Postocellar line approximately 1.7 x as long as ocular-ocellar line. Ocular-ocellar line as long as diameter of postocellus. Frons almost flat, slightly coarse. Antenna with 29 flagellomeres; ratio of length from first to fifth flagellomeres approximately: 1.2: 0.8: 0.8: 0.7: 0.7. Occipital carina complete, lower end joining oral carina near base of mandible. Mesosoma. Pronotum almost smooth, lower portion shiny, lateral concavity and posteromedian portion with dense oblique transverse wrinkles, upper-posterior portion with dense, fine punctures. Epomia weak and short. Mesoscutum (Fig. 4) evenly convex, anterior portion with indistinct fine punctures, posterior portion with distinct evenly punctate, distance between punctures 0.5 ���1.0x diameter of puncture. Notaulus absent. Anterior side of scutoscutellar groove oblique-flat, posterior side steep. Scutellum strongly convex, with dense fine punctures, distance between punctures approximately 1.0x diameter of puncture. Postscutellum strongly, transversely convex, anterior-lateral portion deeply concave. Upper anterior portion of mesopleuron (Fig. 5) between mesopleural fovea and subalar prominence with dense oblique longitudinal wrinkles; lower portion fine coriaceous with distinct fine punctures, distance between punctures 1.0��� 3.5 x diameter of puncture. Speculum transverse, smooth and shiny. Upper end of epicnemial carina reaching about 0.6 level of front margin of mesopleuron. Posterior transverse carina of mesosternum complete, median section evidently stronger and higher than lateral portion. Metapleuron slightly convex, with dense, distinct, fine punctures, distance between punctures 0.2 ���1.0x diameter of puncture. Submetapleural carina complete, strong. Wings slightly brownish, hyaline. Fore wing with vein 1 cu-a slightly distal to 1 /M. Areolet quadrangular, receiving vein 2 m-cu at its middle. Vein 2 -Cu slightly longer than 2 cu-a. Hind wing vein M+Cu slightly arched; 2 -Cu unpigment; 1 -cu approximately 7.5 x as long as cu-a. Hind femur approximately 4.2 x as long as its widest width. Ratio of length of hind tarsomeres 1: 2: 3: 4: 5 is 3.7: 1.4: 1.1: 0.7:1.0, first tarsomere evidently thick, 9.5 x as long as widest width. Tarsal claw weak, without tooth. Propodeum (Fig. 6) with complete, strong anterior transverse, median longitudinal and pleural carinae. Costula evenly arched downwards. Area basalis small, smooth, convergent backwardly. Area superomedia combined with area petiolaris, median portion of combined area with indistinct transverse wrinkles. First lateral area almost smooth, with distinct fine punctures. Pleural area coarse, densely vaguely punctate. Propodeal spiracle small, circular, connected with pleural carina by a distinct carina. Metasoma. First to third tergites almost smooth, shiny; apical halves and lateral portions of subsequent tergites with sparse short hairs. First tergite (Fig. 7) about 2.1 x as long as apical width; dorsolateral carinae complete; suture separating from sternite at 0.3 the distance from base of the tergite lying slightly below the mid-height of the segment. Spiracle circular, small, located at apical 0.4 of first tergum. Subbase of first sternite convex, smooth, shiny. Second tergite (Fig. 8) approximately 1.1 x as long as apical width. Lateral sides of third to fifth tergites parallel. Third tergite approximately 0.9 x as long as apical width. Fourth tergite approximately as long as third tergite, 0.85 x as long as basal width, finely coriaceous. Ovipositor sheath approximately as long as first tergite, 0.8 x as long as hind femur, 0.6 x length of hind tibia. Ovipositor straight, with distinct subapical dorsal notch. Color (Fig. 1). Black, except the following. Basal portion of mandible buff, teeth black brown. Maxillary and labial palpi dark yellow. Fore and mid femora dark brown; outer side of tibia buff, inner side brown; tarsi buff, most of fifth tarsomere brown black. Outer side of hind femur brown black, inner side dark red. To provide guidance on the utilization and conservation of the forest defoliator Orgyia ericae parasitoids, we survey its parasitoid species. We identified the developmental stages associated with the different parasitoids, and the emergence pattern of adult parasitoids. Observations of hatching were conducted hourly from 7am to 12pm until all adults had emerged. Pupation time, emergence patterns, and the abundance of Exorista larvarum parasitoids were recorded in detail. The abundance and daily emergence patterns of Bracon (Habrobracon) sp., and Tetrastichus sp. were analyzed. Bracon (Habrobracon) sp. and E. larvarum both had only one emergence peak, whereas Tetrastichus sp. had two. The daily emergence of Bracon (Habrobracon) sp., Tetrastichus sp. and E. larvarum peaked at 3 to 5pm, 3 to 5pm and 7 to 8am, respectively. The E. larvarum pupation distribution was characterized by two peaks.

Two new species of Ichneumonidae: Xoridinae parasitizing Cerambycidae (Coleoptera) in China are described. Xorides cinnabarius sp. nov. reared from Saperda balsamifera Motschulsky on Populus alba Linn, var.pyramdalis Bunge in Xinjiang and Xorides asiasius sp. nov. reared from Asias halodendri (Pallas) on Hippophae rhamnoides sinensis Rousi in Ningxia.
