Using questionnaire survey, the psychological control scale, academic efficacy scale, and self-esteem scale of 774 students in Zhangzhou, Fujian, Qingdao, Shandong. Results found a significant negative correlation with self-esteem and perceived maternal psychological control with academic efficacy;There was a significant positive correlation between academic efficacy and self-esteem Academic efficacy plays a partially mediating role between perceived maternal psychological control and self-esteem.

The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between school belonging and subjective social status of middle school students, and whether mental health plays an intermediary role between them. Taking 484 middle school students as subjects, they completed the school belonging scale, subjective social status scale and general health questionnaire. The results show that: (1) There is a significant positive correlation between school belonging, mental health and subjective social status of middle school students. (2) Middle school students’ sense of school belonging can positively predict their subjective social status, and can also indirectly influence their subjective social status through mental health, which plays an intermediary role between school belonging and subjective social status.

Understanding the climate impact of residential emissions starts with determining the fuel consumption of various household activities. While cooking emissions have been widely studied, non-cooking energy-consumption activities in the residential sector such as heating and lighting, have been overlooked owing to the unavailability of data at national levels. The present study uses data from the Carbonaceous Aerosol Emissions, Source Apportionment and Climate Impacts (COALESCE) project, which consists of residential surveys over 6000 households across 49 districts of India, to understand the energy consumed by non-cooking residential activities. Regression models are developed to estimate information in non-surveyed districts using demographic, housing, and meteorological data as predictors. Energy demand is further quantified and distributed nationally at a 4 × 4 km resolution. Results show that the annual energy consumption from non-cooking activities is 1106 [201] PJ, which is equal to one-fourth of the cooking energy demand. Freely available biomass is widely used to heat water on traditional stoves, even in the warmer regions of western and southern India across all seasons. Space heating (51%) and water heating (42%) dominate non-cooking energy consumption. In comparison, nighttime heating for security personnel (5%), partly-residential personal heating by guards, dominant in urban centers and kerosene lighting (2%) utilize minimal energy. Biomass fuels account for over 90% of the non-cooking consumption, while charcoal and kerosene make up the rest. Half of the energy consumption occurs during winter months (DJF), while 10% of the consumption occurs during monsoon, when kerosene lighting is the highest. Firewood is the most heavily used fuel source in western India, charcoal in the northern hilly regions, agricultural residues and dung cake in the Indo-Gangetic plains, and kerosene in eastern India. The study shows that ∼20% of residential energy consumption is on account of biomass-based heating and kerosene lighting activities.

The effect of compatibilizer on the nanofibril morphology, vlscoelas;ticity, mechanical properties;, and CFIM behavior of polypropylene (PP)/nylon6 (PA6) composite through a combination of in-ssitu fibrillation (INF) and chemical foam injection molding (CFIM) technologies;. The ressults; indicated that the addition of PP-g-MAH compatibilizer reduced the sSize of PA6 dispersion phasse significantly, and PA6 microfibers were uniformly distributed in the PP matrix with an average diameter of about 265nm. The existence of a microfiber network structure and the synergistic enhancement effect of phasse interface improved the mechanical strength of INF composites; significantly. The tensile sstrength and impact sStrength of the composites; are 26. 2 % and 62 % higher than thosse of pure PP, respectively. Bassed on the CFIM experiment using the sself-made endothermic-exothermic equilibrium chemical foaming agent, the INF composite foam product was; prepared with a cell size of 62 ^m and a cell density of nearly 5 X105 cells/cm3. The ass-prepared ssample obtained a decreasse in the weight by 12 %. AbstractA new cladosporol derivative xylophilum A (1), together with 10 known compounds (2–11), were isolated from the rice fermentation of the fungus Cladosporium xylophilum. Their structures were established by extensive spectroscopic methods and comparison of their NMR data with literatures. Hyperspectral anomaly detection can separate sparse anomalies from the low-rank background component under an unsupervised behavior due to sufficient spectral information. Therefore, hyperspectral image anomaly detection technology has great application potential and value in public security and national defense. Currently, most existing models attempt to detect anomalous targets with a sparsity prior, without further considering the visual saliency of the targets themselves. To tackle this issue, this paper proposes a saliency-guided sparse low-rank tensor approximation model, called SSLR, to detect anomalous targets from hyperspectral remote sensing images in an unsupervised manner. Specifically, we first explore the saliency information of each pixel for regularizing the sparse anomaly matrix. We then suggest a three-directional tensor nuclear norm to obtain a low-rank background to characterize the background component. We solve the SSLR optimization problem by an efficient alternating direction method of multipliers framework. Experiments conducted on benchmark hyperspectral datasets demonstrate that the proposed SSLR outperforms some state-of-the-art anomaly detection methods. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

To overcome the jolt vibration impact of marine circuit breakers, this paper studies the relationship between the influence parameters and the contact performance of the contact system. A parametric approach is utilized to explore the effects of load size, pulse width, and different waveform loads on the vibration response of the contact system. The results show that the vibration increases with the increase in acceleration at peak contact acceleration. The ultimate upsetting acceleration peak of the contact system is determined to be 9.2 g. Large acceleration impacts should be avoided. As far as pulse width is concerned, the vibration response of the system with narrow pulse width is more sensitive than that with broad pulse width. So, monitoring of narrow pulses should be increased. Additionally, under various forms of load, the range of safe contact areas is triangular load, half-sine load, and step load in that order. Thus, circuit breakers need to increase the detection of step loads to prevent faults. The findings provide a theoretical foundation and guidance for the design of low-vibration marine circuit breakers and the improvement of their contact performance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This research utilized single‐cell RNA sequencing to map the immune cell landscape in sepsis, revealing 28 distinct cell clusters and categorizing them into nine major types. Delving into the monocyte/macrophage subclusters, 12 unique subclusters are identified and pathway enrichment analyses are conducted using KEGG and GO, discovering enriched pathways such as oxidative phosphorylation and antigen processing. Further GSVA and AUCell assessments show varied activation of interferon pathways, especially in subclusters 4 and 11. The clinical correlation analysis reveals genes significantly linked to survival outcomes. Additionally, cellular differentiation in these subclusters is explored. Building on these insights, the differential gene expression within these subclusters is specifically scrutinized, which reveal MYOF as a key gene with elevated expression levels in the survivor group. This finding is further supported by in‐depth pathway enrichment analysis and the examination of cellular differentiation trajectories, where MYOF's role became evident in the context of immune response regulation and sepsis progression. Validating the role of the MYOF gene in sepsis, a dose‐dependent response to LPS in THP‐1 cells and C57 mice is observed. Finally, inter‐cellular communications are analyzed, particularly focusing on the MYOF+Mono/Macro subcluster, which indicates a pivotal role in immune regulation and potential therapeutic targeting. As one of mature enhanced oil recovery (EOR) technologies, polymer flooding has been extensively applied in oilfield. In this study, new hydrophobically associative copolymers were synthesized by free-radical polymerization of acrylamide (AM), acrylic acid (AA), vinyl-modified p-cyclodextrins, and a water-soluble hydrophobic macromonomer (AA-APE-20). Fourier transform infrared, protonnuclear magnetic resonance, and scanning electron microscopy verified the structure of hydrophobically associative polymers (HDAPAMs). Compared with partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide (HPAM), multiple intermolecular forces including chelation between ethoxyl (EO) group and [Ca.sup.2+]/[Mg.sup.2+], electrostatic bridges between EO groups and carboxyl groups (--COO-), hydrogen bonding between EO groups and AM groups (--CO[NH.sub.2]), hydrophobic association among nonyl phenol groups, and host-guest inclusion interaction endowed HDAPAMs favorable temperature-resistance, salt-resistance, and displacement efficiency. It was found that HDAPAMs showed evident temperature-response, salt thickening effect, favorable thixotropy, and viscoelasticity. Compared with HPAM, the core flooding experiments demonstrated that HDAPAMs could further enhance 6.97% to 8.43% oil recovery, even after HPAM flooding used. All the results revealed the EOR potential in HDAPAMs flooding. IntroductionNonsmoking pregnant women in China have significant exposure to secondhand smoke (SHS). Few interventions have focused on pregnant women reducing their SHS exposure.MethodsThis clustered randomized controlled trial, conducted at eight hospitals in Sichuan, China, compared a prenatal health education intervention with usual clinical care as a control. The primary outcome was self-reported "no SHS exposure" before and 3 months after birth. The intervention consisted of three large group educational sessions, standardized clinician advice, brief monthly follow-up calls, and educational materials and resources. A random sample of participants was biochemically validated before birth with hair nicotine, a long-term biomarker of smoke exposure.ResultsOverall, 1181 participants were randomized to intervention (n = 526) and control (n = 655) groups. More participants in the intervention group than the control group reported no SHS exposure 3 months after birth (Total: 77.9% vs. 52.6%, P < .001; Home: 81.2% vs. 53.3%, P < .001). The intervention group also had greater changes in improved smoke-free homes and SHS knowledge and attitudes. Controlling for covariates, the intervention group was less likely to report SHS exposure than the control group (Total: OR = 0.47, 95% CI = 0.31 to 0.71; Home: OR = 0.33, 95% CI = 0.21 to 0.53), and this effect was sustained 3 months after birth. The adjusted log concentration of hair nicotine for the intervention group decreased by 0.28 log µg/g more than the control group.ConclusionsOur smoke-free health education intervention for nonsmoking pregnant women significantly reduced SHS exposure before and after birth. This intervention model can become part of a standard protocol for the care of pregnant women in hospital settings.
