Leaf spreading is a key processing step that affects the aroma formation of green tea. The effects of a single-light wavelength on the aroma and taste of tea have been extensively studied. Less attention has been paid to the effect of different complex light intensities on the formation of green tea's volatile aroma during leaf spreading. The current study was designed to evaluate how leaf spreading under different complex light intensities relates to the quality of green tea. Using headspace solid-phase micro-extraction and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (HS-SPME/GC-MS), volatile flavor compounds in green tea were analyzed during leaf spreading in five different light conditions. Multivariate statistical analysis and odor activity values (OAVs) were used to classify these samples and identify key odors. Eight distinct groups, including ninety volatile compounds, were detected. The most prevalent volatile compounds found in green tea samples were hydrocarbons and alcohols, which accounted for 29% and 22% of the total volatile compounds, respectively. Fourteen volatile compounds (OAV > 1) were identified as key active differential odorants. The chestnut-like aroma in green tea was mostly derived from 3-methyl-butanal and linalool, which were significantly accumulated in medium-intensity light (ML). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract Background The colorectum includes ascending colon, transverse colon, descending colon, sigmoid colon, and rectum. Different sites of colorectal cancer (CRC) are different in many aspects, including clinical symptoms, biological behaviour, and prognosis. Purpose This study aimed to analyse prognosis, genes, bacteria, fungi, and microbial metabolome in different sites of CRC. Methods The Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database and STAT were used to statistically describe and analyse the prognosis in different sites of CRC. RNA sequences of CRC from Broad Institute’s GDAC Firehose were re-annotated and reanalysed based on different sites using weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA). The Kaplan–Meier method was used to analyse the prognosis and Cytoscape was used to construct a drug-target network based on DGIdb databases. Bacterial 16S V3–V4 and fungal ITS V3–V4 ribosomal RNA genes of stool samples were sequenced. Gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GS/MS) was performed to detect the microbial metabolites in stool samples. Bioinformatics analysis was performed to compare distinct gut microorganisms and microbial metabolites between rectal and sigmoid cancers. Results The prognosis in CRC with different sites is significantly different. The closer to the anus predicted longer survival time. The difference between genes and co-expression pairs in CRC with different sites were constructed. The relative abundance of 112 mRNAs and 26 lncRNAs correlated with the sites of CRC were listed. Nine differentially expressed genes at different sites of CRC were correlated with prognosis. A drug-gene interaction network contained 227 drug-gene pairs were built. The relative abundance of gut bacteria and gut fungus, and the content of microbe-related metabolites were statistically different between rectal and sigmoid cancers. Conclusions There are many differences in prognosis, genome, drug targets, gut microbiome, and microbial metabolome in different colorectal cancer sites. These findings may improve our understanding of the role of the CRC sites in personalized and precision medicine.

Developing a multiresponsive and multifunctional soft actuator that can output mechanical deformation is crucial to the fields of soft robotics and wearable devices. Herein, a 2D metallic molybdenum disulfide (MoS2)‐based soft actuator with dual‐response and self‐sensing function is designed and fabricated. By using the outstanding photothermal property of 1T phase MoS2, good electrical property and network structure of carbon nanotubes (CNTs), hygroscopic expansion of paper, and thermal expansion of polyimide (PI), the MoS2‐based actuator can respond to external voltage and light stimulation and produce rapid and large bending deformation. In addition, the actuator can be used as a flexible strain sensor to realize real‐time sensing of bending deformation by using piezoresistive property of the MoS2–CNT composite film. Based on this soft actuator, a flexible mechanical gripper that can manipulate soft objects with irregular shape and intelligent wearable gloves that can automatically close to block the light irradiation are made. Furthermore, combined with the sensing feature of this MoS2‐based actuator, the gripper with integrated sensing function is also developed. These results indicate the great prospect of the MoS2‐based actuator in intelligent soft mechanical devices, robots, and wearable systems.
