In farming, clashes between humans and animals create significant challenges, risking crop yields, human well-being, and resource depletion. Farmers use traditional methods like electric fences to protect their fields but these can harm essential animals that maintain a balanced ecosystem. To address these fundamental challenges, our research presents a fresh solution harnessing the power of the Internet of Things (IoT) and deep learning. In this paper, we developed a monitoring system that takes advantage of ESP32-CAM and Raspberry Pi in collaboration with optimised YOLOv8 model. Our objective is to detect and classify objects such as animals or humans that roam around the field, providing real-time notification to the farmers by incorporating firebase cloud messaging (FCM). Initially, we have employed ultrasonic sensors that will detect any intruder movement, triggering the camera to capture an image. Further, the captured image is transmitted to a server equipped with an object detection model. Afterwards, the processed image is forwarded to FCM, responsible for managing the image and sending notifications to the farmer through an Android application. Our optimised YOLOv8 model attains an exceptional precision of 97%, recall of 96%, and accuracy of 96%. Once we achieved this optimal outcome, we integrated the model with our IoT infrastructure. This study emphasizes the effectiveness of low-power IoT devices, LoRa devices, and object detection techniques in delivering strong security solutions to the agriculture industry. Instructional aid are infrequently seen in physics learning activities, even though they are essential for enhancing the learning experience. Therefore, the development of instructional aids is required to facilitate understanding and applying physics concepts more accessible to students. The development of instructional aids should be guided by needs analysis factors such as learning motivation, curriculum analysis and materials learning analysis, student’s learning style, student’s need, and prevailing learning media. This study used survey method with case studies approach. This study aims to obtain data and analyze the student’s needs toward to the instructional aid soil moisture measurement in physics lesson. Samples in study were student of 33 peoples, taken from class XH at SMAN 71 Jakarta with technique purposive sampling. This study resulted: physics learning motivation of student were in the medium category, with attention 87.88%, relevance 55.30%, confidence 60.61% and satisfaction 87.12%. Curriculum analysis show in class X, measurement lesson still can be developed to soil moisture measurement based on contextual learning approach. Regarding learning styles, 48,48% students preferred visual learning, 24.24%, and 27.27% kinesthetic. About 59.85% students experience difficulties in learning physics. Nonetheless, 79.55% of them agreed that hands on method could help reduce these difficulties. As many as 87.12% of students agree that they need automated instrument in physics practice and only 39.39% of students has known about Arduino. The frequently used learning media in class were on audio-visual category, starting from power point slide presentation, Canva’s slides presentation, video, simulation and animation. All of those findings were supported research and development of oto-sprinkler system by using humidity sensor and Arduino Uno. Result of this study will become the base contextual in developing contextual teaching aids in form of soil moisture measurement, so that can increase the physics learning motivation in student. Solar tracker widely maximizes solar energy harvesting by maintaining a perpendicular relative position between the sun and the solar panel. Single and dual-axis solar tracker controllers are the most control mechanisms that are widely implemented. The single-axis solar tracker (SAST) is preferable between those two control mechanisms due to economic and simpler control algorithm features. Many control algorithms have been proposed to improve the performance of SAST. The conventional proportional integral derivative (PID) controller has major limitations mainly corresponding to slower response. Moreover, it cannot handle the uncertainties of the sunlight. To overcome the problem, type 2-fuzzy logic control (T2-FLC) is proposed. The single-axis solar tracker controller based on T2-FLC is applied in Arduino and implemented in the hardware environment. It was monitored that the T2-FLC provides much better responses than the conventional controllers in terms of better dynamic response and more efficiency in harvesting solar energy. This paper's primary aim is to design and create a robotic arm system for lifting. The main objective of this project is to design and construct a lifting mechanism for a robotic arm. The advancement of robotic technology has seen significant improvements in the versatility and precision of robotic arms, making them essential tools in various industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, and space exploration. This paper presents the design and implementation of a robotic arm that can be controlled both locally and remotely, offering enhanced flexibility and operational efficiency. The robotic arm is designed to perform a range of tasks including object manipulation, assembly operations, and precise movements required in sensitive environments. The local control mechanism employs direct user interaction through a control panel or joystick, allowing real-time adjustments and immediate response. Remote control capabilities are integrated using Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, enabling operation from distant locations via a web interface or mobile application. This dual-mode control system ensures that the robotic arm can be operated effectively in various scenarios, providing both convenience and reliability. Testing and validation of the robotic arm demonstrate its capability to perform complex tasks with high accuracy and responsiveness under both local and remote control. Dustbins are used for disposing the waste. When it gets overflowed, people used to throw the waste outside the dustbin until the garbage collector clears the dustbin. It makes the place surrounded by mosquitoes, bugs etc., and mainly affects the environment and creates several unhygienic problems. To overcome this problem, we have proposed a system called "Management of garbage by segregating the wet and dry waste using Internet of Things (IoT) to keep cities clean" which makes managing easier and creates a smart city. The sensors are placed on the top of normal garbage bins to measure the amount of trash and find the formation of any toxic gases. These measures make the sensors send the notifications in form of messages to waste management board. So that they can identify the location and garbage collector reach the place as soon as possible and clean the place. IoT techniques have transformative potential across domains, particularly in precision agriculture, where they enable farmers to optimize crop production while minimizing environmental impact. This paper presents an IoT-based real-time monitoring and control system for hydroponic tomato cultivation. The system integrates various hardware components, including sensors for monitoring temperature, humidity, pH levels, and gas concentrations. Arduino microcontrollers collect and process sensor data, enabling automated control of water, nutrient supply, and ventilation. Wi-Fi and GSM modules facilitate remote monitoring and data transmission, empowering farmers to monitor and control their tomato crops remotely. Accidents are commonly increasing today, often resulting from driver inattention, especially when driving under the influence of alcohol or while drowsy, leading to fatalities and financial losses. Here, we introduce a driver alert system that employs a simple monitoring setup. Drowsiness is detected using a basic camera system that evaluates visual cues like eye movement and blinking to gauge driver safety. The accuracy of drowsiness detection is further enhanced by the help of irregular driving pattern recognition using lane detection. An alcohol detection sensor measures alcohol levels, determining if the driver is impaired, and triggering accident alerts. The proposed system comprises a PC and camera for image processing, along with an embedded device housing an alcohol sensor, host controller, and sensors. Our study investigates into the sericulture farming system, intending to improve both silk quality and production efficiency and decrease human intervention with worms. Water quality monitoring serves diverse purposes, such as assessing water safety for drinking or agriculture. However, traditional methods are often time-consuming and costly. Additionally, assessing water quality on demand is not always feasible, and parameter variations are not consistently documented. With the advent of affordable equipment capable of efficient performance with minimal resources, remote monitoring sans physical access to the environment has become viable. This has led to reduced inspection and control costs. Understanding the applications, characteristics, and limitations of these devices is crucial for maximizing their benefits. Rainwater quality remains understudied in many areas, leaving its physical, chemical, and microbiological conditions unknown. These conditions are influenced by various atmospheric factors, including both human and natural activities. This research paper develops monitoring stations employing low-cost technology to assess rainwater quality in Morelia City. A prototype was developed based on low-cost technology implementation. Additionally, basic parameters measured include pH, total dissolved solids, turbidity, and temperature, utilizing an Arduino microcontroller for data processing. Data collected from these stations are transmitted via a Wi-Fi communication module to a web platform, enabling real-time visualization of measurements both spatially and temporally. Utilizing such a device offers several advantages compared to standard methods of assessing rainwater quality. In the face of rising population, erratic climate, resource depletion, and increased exposure to natural hazards, environmental monitoring is increasingly important. Satellite data form most of our observations of Earth. On-the-ground observations based on in situ sensor systems are crucial for these remote measurements to be dependable. Providing open-source options to rapidly prototype environmental datalogging systems allows quick advancement of research and monitoring programs. This paper introduces Loom, a development environment for low-power Arduino-programmable microcontrollers. Loom accommodates a range of integrated components including sensors, various datalogging formats, internet connectivity (including Wi-Fi and 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE)), radio telemetry, timing mechanisms, debugging information, and power conservation functions. Additionally, Loom includes unique applications for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education. By establishing modular, reconfigurable, and extensible functionality across components, Loom reduces development time for prototyping new systems. Bug fixes and optimizations achieved in one project benefit all projects that use Loom, enhancing efficiency. Although not a one-size-fits-all solution, this approach has empowered a small group of developers to support larger multidisciplinary teams designing diverse environmental sensing applications for water, soil, atmosphere, agriculture, environmental hazards, scientific monitoring, and education. In this paper, we describe the design and construction of a spectrophotometer of easy economic access that operates in the region of 300 nm to 700 nm as a proposal for qualitative and quantitative demonstrations of optical spectroscopy in physics courses of secondary education, undergraduate in physics, chemistry, biology, and some engineering. The spectrophotometer is made up of four basic elements: a slit, a 1000 lines/mm diffraction grating, a TSL1402R sensor, and an Arduino MEGA board. The light that passes through the slit is collimated by a first lens at a focal length of 5 cm. The collimated beam hits the diffraction grating of 1000 lines/mm, where it is diffracted and subsequently focused by a second lens (with a focal length of 5 cm) for the sensor, which is controlled by the Arduino MEGA. The spectra were visualized in real time by the serial plotter of the Arduino IDE and subsequently analyzed by OriginLab. To demonstrate the potential of the spectrophotometer presented here, it was used to visualize the spectra generated by different light sources for domestic use. The spectra obtained with the proposed spectrophotometer compared to those obtained using a commercial spectrophotometer, showed quite similar results, thus demonstrating the performance of the spectrophotometer and concluding that the spectrophotometer operates satisfactorily to carry out future investigations. We discuss an analog simulation of the Kuramoto model of coupled phase oscillators that can be constructed in the laboratory by coupling a set of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) through a microcontroller. The components of the circuit, namely a WS2812B LED strip, Arduino UNO R3, and a standard power supply, are inexpensive and can be sourced locally. Automatic irrigation refers to the utilization of a mechanism to activate irrigation systems, facilitating the alteration of water flow from bays even in the absence of the irrigator. The implementation of automation encompasses various approaches, such as initiating and ceasing irrigation via supply canal outlets. The objective of this study was to review the majority of control water automatic irrigation canal problems and their solutions, utilizing several controllers and suitability sensors based on requirements, this review in order to assist researchers in selecting the right hardware and software for their respective studies. The work presented introduces a system that encompasses general notions about the dashboard computer and Arduino platform, used to create an automotive diagnostic tool through the OBDII port. This study aims to summarize the effects of Arduino-based educational programs through a meta-analysis. Eleven eligible primary studies were obtained through a systematic literature review and coded accordingly. The results are as follows: The meta-analysis revealed that the overall effect size for all the studies was 0.518. Analysis of the moderator variables indicated statistically significant differences between them. Regarding the learning domains, the results were ranked in descending order of the cognitive and affective domains. Within the cognitive domain, the effect sizes were ranked in descending order as follows: logical thinking, content knowledge, convergence competency, self-efficacy, computational thinking, and creative problemsolving skills. In terms of subject areas, the descending order of effect sizes was agriculture, STEAM, environmental science, practical arts, artificial intelligence, informatics, and computers. Exchange fluxes across the groundwater–surface-water interface are critical components of hydrologic, climatic, and ecologic processes. We present details of the construction of a low-cost Controlled Flux Tank Calibration System (CFTCS). The construction of this low-cost ($318) easily replicable system allows for comparative testing of different groundwater flow measurement methodologies. Experimental activities in physics learning are important to encourage students to interact directly with physical phenomena. This study integrates local culture with technology through an innovative approach to the design of physics experiments. Arduino, a low-cost microcontroller, is extensively utilized for learning physics. The local culture examined in this study is Angklung, a traditional musical instrument from West Java, Indonesia. This study utilizes Arduino with a microphone sensor to design experiments investigating the sound produced by Angklung. The experimental activity aims to determine the frequency generated on each musical instrument on the diatonic Angklung and the factors that influence that frequency. The experimental results show that each musical instrument has a different frequency. Programming on Arduino is easy for students even though students do not have basic programming knowledge. In recent times, the healthcare sector has witnessed a surge of growth and transformation. Gone are the days when patients' communication with medical practitioners was restricted to in-person appointments alone. The incorporation of IoT-enabled devices has transformed remote healthcare monitoring, providing healthcare professionals with the tools to ensure the well-being of their patients while delivering outstanding care. By making interactions with doctors smoother and more effective, IoT has also boosted patient engagement and satisfaction. Furthermore, remote health monitoring enables faster recovery times, minimizing hospital stays, and reducing the chances of readmissions. With IoT also causing a substantial reduction in healthcare costs, there is no doubt that treatment outcomes have improved dramatically. With this context in mind, the objective of this project is to develop an IoT healthcare system based on Arduino, sensors, Android mobile application. The envisioned system comprises an assembly of sensors designed to collect both heart and motion data, which are subsequently processed using the Arduino microcontroller. To facilitate smooth integration, this system is paired with an Android mobile application. Two Android mobile application are developed. The first application is about the heart rate application which allows users to monitor and track their heart rates in real-time. A for as the second application, it is about the motion detection application used to detect various motion patterns, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of users' activities. Leveraging Bluetooth connectivity, the collected data is transmitted to the mobile app in real-time, providing medical staff with the ability to actively monitor the conditions of patients. Moreover, doctors are equipped with the capability to regulate both heart rate and motion parameters. This innovative approach is underpinned by the Firebase platform, along with sophisticated programming techniques for both Arduino and Android. The integration of these technologies not only ensures the efficient flow of data but also establishes a secure and responsive system. By combining real-time monitoring, data analysis, and doctor intervention capabilities, the proposed system aims to enhance patient care and contribute to more proactive and personalized healthcare practices. In this sense, the integration of IoT, Arduino, sensors, and Android mobile applications marks a revolutionary shift in healthcare. The integration of the Arduino board into educational settings has penetrated across various educational levels. The teaching of this subject can be accomplished by (a) using real components in breadboards, (b) prefabricated modular boards that snap together, and (c) utilizing computer simulations. Yet, it is unknown which interface offers a more effective learning experience. Therefore, this experimental study aims to compare the effectiveness of these interfaces in a series of three laboratory exercises involving 110 university students, who were divided into three groups: (a) the first group used a tangible user interface, implementing circuits on breadboards, (b) the second group also used a tangible interface but with modular boards, and (c) the third group used a graphical user interface to simulate circuits using Tinkercad. For each laboratory exercise, students completed both pretests and posttests. Also, they provided feedback through five Likert-type attitude questions regarding their experiences. In terms of data analysis, t-tests, ANOVA, and ANCOVA, along with bootstrapping, and principal component analysis were employed. The results suggest that among the participants, those who used a graphical user interface stated that their understanding of the interconnection of components in microcontroller circuits was enhanced, while students with previous experience in microcontroller labs found the circuit creation process easier than students without experience. This paper presents the development of an advanced fire alarm system utilizing GSM technology to provide real-time alerts to farm managers. The system integrates smoke and flame sensors with an Arduino Uno board, employing an LM35 temperature sensor and a SIM module for distant communication. This innovative approach aims to enhance the effectiveness of traditional fire alarm systems by ensuring timely information dissemination and enabling prompt emergency response to prevent fire outbreak in order to safeguard the environment. The fire alarm system shows significant conformity in performance/result with that obtained from literature, regarding the activeness of the device to detecting the outbreak of fire, thereby, safe-guarding properties and lives. The result obtained from the tests carried out shows that at 9.5m and 11.5m distance from the smoke, fire alarm was not triggered. Whereas at distance 7.5m, 5.5m and 3.5m the fire alarm was triggered. The results show the optimum distance of smoke detection to be between 3.5m and 7.5m. This paper presents the development of a novel anti-violence device titled "no pAIn" (an acronym for Never Oppressed Protected by Artificial Intelligence Nonviolence system), which harnesses the power of artificial intelligence (AI). Primarily designed to combat violence against women, the device offers personal safety benefits for individuals across diverse demographics. Operating autonomously, it necessitates no user interaction post-activation. The AI engine conducts real-time speech recognition and effectively discerns genuine instances of aggression from non-violent disputes or conversations. Facilitated by its Internet connectivity, in the event of detected aggression, the device promptly issues assistance requests with real-time precise geolocation tracking to predetermined recipients for immediate assistance. Its compact size enables discreet concealment within commonplace items like candy wrappers, purpose-built casings, or wearable accessories. The device is battery-operated. The prototype was developed using a microcontroller board (Arduino Nano RP2040 Connect), incorporating an omnidirectional microphone and Wi-Fi module, all at a remarkably low cost. Subsequent functionality testing, performed in debug mode using the Arduino IDE serial monitor, yielded successful results. The AI engine exhibited exceptional accuracy in word recognition, complemented by a robust logic implementation, rendering the device highly reliable in discerning genuine instances of aggression from non-violent scenarios.
