There are many contexts in which emotions, and the intelligent use of them, are necessary for the integral development of the person. But without a doubt, and in relation to the field in which we find ourselves, emotional competences play a very important role in education. To understand many phenomena of our day to day is fundamental the study of science. Awakening scientific interest in children from an early age should be understood as one of the objectives of the education system. For this, schools must have adequate, entertaining and playful educational programs, where the emotional competences of the students are taken into account. The present research, included in the National Plan project (EDU2016-77007-R), is focused on Primary Education, at which point the emotions of the students begin to crystallize. The objective of our research is to analyze the emotions felt by Primary Education students in the subject of Natural Sciences, more specifically in the “Matter and Energy” block, through a non-experimental study. The sample is constituted by 151 students of Primary Education of different public schools of Extremadura. The results show that students begin to experience negative emotions such as boredom in this block

When the Swiss theologian Karl Barth visited America in 1962, he had a private conversation with Charles H. Long, who asked, among other things, "How do you like this strange place called the United States?" The locus for Long's question--the black religious experience--complicated Barth's audacious proposal that American theologians should develop a theology of freedom. Long's question, furthermore, outflanked Barth by calling for the recognition of America as a hermeneutical situation and advancing the (de)constructive argument that "a theology of freedom is first a destruction of theology as a powerful mode of discourse." This article suggests that the way toward Barth's so-called theology of freedom is to develop theology in this (de)constructive mode by recharting the Mediterranean and Atlantic worlds in order to catalyze the (re)imagination of matter. Such recasting of our thought means "going back into the water," specifically the Pacific Ocean, for a reorientation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

BLACK feminism , *BLACK feminists , *IMAGINATION , *RELIGIOUS studies , *POETICS , *RACIAL identity of Black people - Abstract
Worrying the disciplinary line between black studies and religious inquiry in the name of what might be called "black (religious) study," this essay explores a resonance if not a convergence between the work of historian of religions Charles H. Long and work being done in black critical philosophizing, particularly, the black feminism of Zakiyyah Iman Jackson. The resonance here attended to concerns the nexus of imagination and matter or what Long himself called the "imagination of matter." More specifically, this essay's central claim is that Long's account of modernity as a situation of religious matter, along with his account of what is called "black religion" as signaling counter-creative reimaginings of matter that are anarchic from the reigning terms of order, are actually clarified and even amped up when thought with Zakiyyah Iman Jackson's black feminist poetics, a poetics without recourse to the human. A Longian re-imagination of matter but without residual recourse to the human suggests black religion, which is to say blackness, as an-archē. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

CLIMATOLOGY , *DIAGENESIS , *METAPHYSICS , *SEDIMENTS , *CHEMICAL processes - Abstract
This paper is a thought experiment to attune to the geo-physical and geo-political materialities of sediment, a terra-aqueous substance produced when the earth's continental surfaces intra-act with the atmosphere and are chemically transformed by it. The paper is framed by questions of how to engage more closely with the dynamics of earth systems and of how social and political agency emerges alongside earth forces. Sediment is important to such questions because it is the mechanism by which the earth recycles itself and is thick with the climatological and geological histories that have conditioned the possibility of life on the planet. While acknowledging the import of Deleuze and Guattari's metaphysics to such questions, the paper takes a material approach to them. It is based on field work in Bangladesh, but also traverses a range of scientific, historical and theoretical literature. It is arranged in four sections that loosely correspond to the sedimentary cycle. It follows sediment from chemical processes on rock surfaces in the Himalayas, to its lively travels in monsoonal rivers across flood plains to its eventual deposition and subterranean diagenesis. In each section, the paper discusses the material processes at work, their socio-political enmeshments and the theoretical implications of these intra-actions. The paper concludes that sediment serves as a reminder not only of close entanglements of geo-physical and geo-political becomings, but also of the profound indifference of earth systems to human affairs, and asks what this might mean for the re-imagination of politics. MATERIALISM , *PHILOSOPHY , *PHILOSOPHICAL theology , *LORD'S Supper , *HISTORY & theology - Abstract
This article seeks to recover the peculiar notion of "matter" that Xavier Zuribi formulated in his final philosophical works, recovering the proposals that he previously worked out in On Essence, the course on matter and the courses on the person that were edited in Man and God, in order to then subject them to a profound transformation on the basis of the trilogy of Sentient Intelligence, which highlights the concept of "actuality" as a deepening of the term "substantivity," fundamental in the first treatises. The relevance of this deepening can be seen in the theological elaboration that Zubiri undertakes of the sacrament of the Eucharist, modifying a previous work and resignifying the concept of "trans-substantiation" as "trans-actualization." This play of concepts points toward an enrichment of his notion of matter, allowing it to serve as an interdisciplinary bridge for the philosophy of humanity, of history and of theology.

Summary: On the year 1916, Teilhard de Chardin has already been for more than one year working as a stretcher carrier, at the war front. It is then that the «teilhardian genius» unfolds. His first essay of spiritual, philosophic and mystic type is «The Cosmic Life», the centenary of which falls in 2016. In this work we offer the context in which this essay was elaborated by the writer, and also we present the more outstanding ideas of the author, together with some clarifying and critical notes. In another place, we offer the complete text in a new translation, realized from the French text of Teilhard’s Works.

In the contemporary art, the conservation of the original matter is not as important as the conservation of the authenticity of the work, because of this it is very important to know the artist and his work, to be able to conserve the most important values. In this process it is very important the documentation and the research. Therefore the criteria of restoration has changed, we can not conserve the patina of the contemporary art as a historic document, if this means the loss of the aesthetic value of the work. Nowadays the art is different, and therefore its conservation is different too.

- Abstract

- Abstract
The objective is to analyze the trajectory of the teaching of the subject Moral and Civic Education (EMC) in Brazil during the 20th century, considering the historical contexts and the political disputes for the control of the curriculum. This is a bibliographic and documental research, in which the legislation created by the federal government that mentions this teaching was examined. The sources show that the moral and civic themes have been part of the history of Brazilian education, both as a compulsory subject and as a non-formal practice. It can also be seen that the emphasis given to this teaching occurred mainly during authoritarian periods, such as the Estado Novo (1937-1945) and the Civil-Military Dictatorship (1964-1985), showing the use of this teaching to justify the political system and discipline children and young people in school and non-school education, making them obedient to the established order. The discipline was extinguished in 1993; however, in the current century, with the strengthening of the right wing in the second decade, there are many who defend the return of this discipline to the school curriculum. The arguments are the same as those used in the last century: the defense of the traditional family, order, morals and so-called "good customs", Christian religion and the "no-party school"., Objetiva-se analisar a trajetória do ensino da disciplina Educação Moral e Cívica (EMC) no Brasil, no decurso do século XX, considerando os contextos históricos e as disputas políticas pelo controle do currículo. 149. David Hume acerca del materialismo

- Abstract
During the 17th and 18th centuries, an intense debate concerning materialism took place. This paper aims to describe David Hume’s position within this debate. I claim that, even though Hume rejects substantialist metaphysics to focus on the study of perceptions, he defends a position concerning the relationship between mind and matter. However, this position is rather complex to reconstruct since it is not explicitly stated in the texts edited during Hume’s life. I propose to define it as a restricted materialism since, regarding the nature of mind, Hume discards both the materialist and the immaterialist positions; although concerning the causes of thought he comes close to materialist positions by using arguments based on experience and the analogy with nature., Durante los siglos XVII y XVIII hubo un intenso debate en las Islas Británicas en torno al materialismo.

- Abstract
The contribution analyses the third part of the Allgemeine Naturgeschichte, written by Kant in 1755, and focuses in particular on the ontological nexus that links the activity of the soul to the material quality and to the morphology of the organic body. In the course of analysis, the presence of two argumentative logics of Kant’s discourse will be highlighted. For the first one, the body is a limitation of the spirit, which would fully develop its cognitive faculties if it were not connected to any matter. For the second one, on the contrary, the connection with the body becomes a necessary condition for the spirit to be given the faculty to exercise its own power of thought., Il contributo esamina la terza parte dell’Allgemeine Naturgeschichte, scritta da Kant nel 1755, e si concentra in particolare sul rapporto mente-corpo.
