In this work, we study the hadronic loop contribution to the $\Upsilon(5S)\to \Upsilon(1^3D_J)\eta$ ($J=1,2,3$) transitions. We predict that the branching ratios of $\Upsilon(5S)\to \Upsilon(1^3D_1)\eta$, $\Upsilon(5S)\to \Upsilon(1^3D_2)\eta$ and $\Upsilon(5S)\to \Upsilon(1^3D_3)\eta$ can reach up to $(0.5\sim5.1)\times10^{-3}$, $(0.7\sim7.5)\times10^{-3}$ and $(0.9\sim9.6)\times10^{-4}$, respectively. Since these predicted hadronic transitions of $\Upsilon(5S)$ are comparable with these observed $\Upsilon(5S)\to \Upsilon(nS)\pi^+\pi^-$ $(n=1,2,3)$, we suggest future experiment like Belle and BelleII to carry out the search for these anomalous $\Upsilon(5S)\to \Upsilon(1^3D_J)\eta$ transitions., Comment: 8 pages, 2 tables and 4 figures. In the present work, we propose $Y(4140)$ as the $\chi_{c1}(3P)$ state by studying the $\chi_{c1} \pi^+ \pi^-$ invariant mass spectrum of the $B\to K \chi_{c1} \pi^+ \pi^-$ process. In the $D\bar{D}$ invariant mass spectrum of the $B\to K D\bar{D}$ process, we find a new resonance with the mass and width to be $ (4083.0 \pm 5.0) $ and $ (24.1 \pm 15.4) $ MeV, respectively, which could be a good candidate of the $\chi_{c0}(3P)$ state. The theoretical investigations on the decay behaviors of the $\chi_{cJ}(3P)$ in the present work support the assignments of the $Y(4140)$ and $Y(4080)$ as the $\chi_{c1}(3P)$ and $\chi_{c0}(3P)$ states, respectively. In addition, the $\chi_{c2}(3P)$ state is predicted to be a very narrow state. Stimulated by the recent observation of the $D_2^\ast(3000)$, we study the decay behaviors of the $3P$ and $2F$ charmed mesons in the present work. By comparing the masses and decay properties of the $3^3P_2$ and $2^3F_2$ charmed mesons with the observation of the $D_2^\ast(3000)$, we conclude that the most possible assignment of the $D_2^\ast(3000)$ is the $3^3P_2$ charmed meson, while the assignment of the $2^3F_2$ charmed meson could not be fully exclude. The results of the unobserved $3P$ and $2F$ charmed mesons in this work could provide some fundamental information of searching for these charmed mesons in the further experiments by LHCb and forthcoming Belle II., Comment: 7 pages, 4 figures, 3 tables, minor revision, accepted by Phys. In the present work, we estimate the decays of the $X(5568)$ and $X(5616)$ in a $B \bar{K}$ and a $B^\ast \bar{K}$ $S$-wave hadronic molecule scenarios, respectively, which may corresponding to the structure observed by D0 Collaboration. Our estimation indicates both $B\bar{K}$ and $B^\ast \bar{K}$ hadronic molecule decay widths could explain the experimental data in a proper model parameter range., Comment: 5 pages, 6 figures

A resonance $Y(4630)$ at the invariant mass spectrum of $\Lambda_c \bar\Lambda_c$ observed by the Belle Collaboration triggers a hot discussion about its inner structure. Since it preferably decays into two charmed baryons $\Lambda_c\bar\Lambda_c$, it is tempted to conjecture it as a tetraquark. Because the dominant decay portal $Y(4630)\to \Lambda_c \bar\Lambda_c$ is close to the energy threshold, the final state interactions may be significant and result in other baryonic and/or mesonic final states whose branching fractions are sizable to be measured in the future experiments. In this work we calculate the branching ratios of the $Y(4630)$ decays into $p\bar p$, $D^{(*)+} D^{(*)-}$, $\pi^+\pi^-$, and $K^+K^-$ which are induced by the $\Lambda_c \bar\Lambda_c$ re-scattering. The resultant decay patterns will be tested by the future experiments and the consistency degree with the data composes a valuable probe for the tetraquark conjecture., Comment: 6 pages, 2 figures, and 1 table. We estimate the partial widths for the radiative and pionic transitions from the $D_{s1}(2460)$ to the $D_{s0}(2317)$ in a molecule scenario, in which the $D_{s1}(2460)$ and $D_{s0}^\ast(2317)$ are considered as hadronic molecule states of $DK$ and $D^\ast K$, respectively. The partial widths for the $D_{s1}(2460) \to D_{s0}^\ast(2317) \pi^0$ and $D_{s1}(2460) \to D_{s0}^\ast(2317) \gamma$ are evaluated to be about $0.19 \sim 0.22$ keV and $3.0 \sim 3.1$ keV, respectively. In addition, the ratio of the $D_{s1}(2460) \to D_{s0}(2317) \gamma$ and $D_{s1}(2460) \to D_{s}^\ast \pi^0$ is estimated to be about $(6.6\sim 10.6) \times 10^{-2}$, which is safely under the measured upper limit., Comment: 8 pages, 8 figures, 2 tables, published version

We propose that the unified Fano-like interference picture applies to $e^+e^-\to \pi^+\pi^- J/\psi$ and $e^+e^-\to \pi^+\pi^- \psi(3686)$, where $Y(4260)$ and $Y(4360)$ are observed, respectively, to provide a reasonable interpretation of the asymmetric lines hapes of $Y(4260)$ and $Y(4360)$ structures. Moreover, the Fano-like interference induces an extra broad structure $Y(4008)$ in $e^+e^-\to \pi^+\pi^- J/\psi$ as a companion peak to $Y(4260)$. Three charmonium-like states $Y(4008)$, $Y(4260)$ and $Y(4360)$ observed in $e^+e^-$ annihilation processes are not genuine resonances. Under this scenario, it is well explained why $Y(4008)$, $Y(4260)$ and $Y(4360)$ are absent in the experimental data of the $R$ value scan and missing in open-charm decay channels. Although the present work presents a typical application of the Fano-like interference in particle physics at the lower energy region, we have reason to believe that the Fano-like phenomena may exist in other processes such as $e^+e^-\to \pi^+\pi^-\psi(3770)$ and $e^+e^-\to K^+K^- J/\psi$, which will be accessible at BESIII and forthcoming BelleII., Comment: 5 pages, 4 figures and 1 table. We study the radiative decays of the $Z_c(3900)^0$ in a hadronic molecule picture, where the $Z_c(3900)$ is treated as a $D \bar{D}^\ast +c.c$ hadronic molecule. The partial widths of $\Gamma(Z_c(3900)^0 \to \gamma \eta_c(2S))$ and $\Gamma(Z_c(3900)^0 \to \gamma \chi_{c0})$ are predicted to be of order 10 keV and the cross sections for $\sigma(e^+ e^- \to \pi^0 Z_c(3900) \to \pi^0 \gamma \eta_c(2S))$ and $\sigma(e^+ e^- \to \pi^0 Z_c(3900) \to \pi^0 \gamma \chi_{c0})$ are of order 0.1 pb at 4.23 GeV, which may be accessible for the BESIII and forthcoming BelleII., Comment: 8 pages, 11 figures, Phys.Rev.D version

A detailed analysis to find a missing $\psi(4S)$ is made by utilizing the recent precise mesurements of the cross section for the process $e^+e^-\to \psi(2S)\pi^+\pi^-$ by Belle. Assuming three resonances $Y(4360)$, $Y(4660)$, and $\psi(4S)$ to fit the data, we obtain the resonance parameters for $\psi(4S)$ as $m=4243$ MeV and $\Gamma=16 \pm 31$ MeV showing a narrow state as predicted before. A combined fit to the data $e^+ e^- \to \psi(2S) \pi^+ \pi^-, \ h_c \pi^+ \pi^-$, and $\chi_{c0} \omega$ is also performed to obtain the similar resonance parameters of $\psi(4S)$. The upper limit of the branching ratio is fitted to be $\mathcal{B}(\psi(4S)\to\psi(2S)\pi^+\pi^-) < 3\times 10^{-3}$, which can be understood by hadronic loop contributions in reasonable parameters range. In addition, the ratios of the branching ratios of the $\psi(4S)$ dipion transition to the one of $\psi(4S)\to\chi_{c0}\omega$ are fitted, which can be further measured by BESIII and forthcoming BelleII to confirm the existence of $\psi(4S)$., Comment: 9 pages, 10 figures

Very recently, the Belle and BESIII experiments observed a new charmonium-like state $X(3823)$, which is a good candidate for the $D$-wave charmonium $\psi(1^3D_2)$. Because the $X(3823)$ is just near the $D\bar{D}^*$ threshold, the decay $X(3823)\to J/\psi\pi^+\pi^-$ can be a golden channel to test the significance of coupled-channel effects. In this work, this decay is considered including both the hidden-charm dipion and the usual quantum chromodynamics multipole expansion (QCDME) contributions. The partial decay width, the dipion invariant mass spectrum distribution $\mathrm{d}\Gamma[X(3823)\to J/\psi\pi^+\pi^-]/\mathrm{d}m_{\pi^+\pi^-}$, and the corresponding $\mathrm{d}\Gamma[X(3823)\to J/\psi\pi^+\pi^-]/\mathrm{d}\cos\theta$ distribution are computed. Considering abundant experimental information of charmed mesons and the present research status, in this work we systematically study higher radial and orbital excitations in the charmed meson family by analyzing the mass spectrum and calculating their two-body OZI-allowed decay behaviors. This phenomenological analysis not only reveals underlying propertes of the newly observed charmed states $D(2550)$, $D^*(2600)$, $D^*(2760)$, $D(2750)$, $D_J(2580)$, $D^*_J(2650)$, $D^*_J(2760)$, $D_J(2740)$, $D_J(3000)$ and $D^*_J(3000)$, but also provides valuable information of the charmed mesons still missing in experiments., Comment: 15 pages, 7 tables and 5 figures. This paper summarizes what we have done so far to explain charged charmonium/bottomonium-like structures using a hadronic triangle diagram which we call the initial single chiral particle emission mechanism. We discuss processes like $A\to A'+P+P'$ in which two chiral particles $P$ and $P'$ are emitted from $A$. In the intermediate we consider a hadronic one-loop diagram in which $D^{(*)}/D_s^{(*)}/B^{(*)}/B_s^{(*)}$ are included to explain some enhancements experimentally observed. Two-dimensional layered materials, such as transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs), are promising materials for future electronics owing to their unique electronic properties. With the presence of a band gap, atomically thin gate defined quantum dots (QDs) can be achieved on TMDCs. Here, standard semiconductor fabrication techniques are used to demonstrate quantum confined structures on WSe2 with tunnel barriers defined by electric fields, thereby eliminating the edge states induced by etching steps, which commonly appear in gapless graphene QDs. Over 40 consecutive Coulomb diamonds with a charging energy of approximately 2 meV were observed, showing the formation of a QD, which is consistent with the simulations. The size of the QD could be tuned over a factor of 2 by changing the voltages applied to the top gates. These results shed light on quantum nano-devices on TMDCs for further researches.

Inspired by the present experimental status of charmed-strange mesons, we perform a systematic study of the charmed-strange meson family, in which we calculate the mass spectra of the charmed-strange meson family by taking a screening effect into account in the Godfrey-Isgur model and investigate the corresponding strong decays via the quark pair creation model. These phenomenological analyses of charmed-strange mesons not only shed light on the features of the observed charmed-strange states, but also provide important information on future experimental search for the missing higher radial and orbital excitations in the charmed-strange meson family, which will be valuable task in LHCb, forthcoming BelleII and PANDA., Comment: 16 pages, 7 tables and 7 figures. Stimulated by the recent BESIII observation of a new resonance in $e^+ e^- \to \omega \chi_{c0}$ and by the fact that this state is consistent with our predicted $\psi(4S)$, in this work we estimate the meson loop contribution to $\psi(4S) \to \omega \chi_{c0}$. The evaluation indicates that our theoretical estimate can overlap with the experimental data in a reasonable parameter range. This fact shows that introduction of the missing higher charmonium $\psi(4S)$ provides a possible explanation to the recent BESIII observation. The upper limit of a branching ratio of $\psi(4S) \to \eta J/\psi$ is also predicted as $1.9 \times 10^{-3}$, which can be further tested by BESIII, Belle and forthcoming BelleII., Comment: 8 pages, 6 figures and 2 tables. Newly observed two charmed-strange resonances, $D_{s1}^*(2860)$ and $D_{s3}^*(2860)$, are investigated by calculating their Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka allowed strong decays, which shows that they are suitable candidates for the $1^3D_1$ and $1^3D_3$ states in the charmed-strange meson family. Our study also predicts other main decay modes of $D_{s1}^*(2860)$ and $D_{s3}^*(2860)$, which can be accessible at the future experiment. In addition, the decay behaviors of the spin partners of $D_{s1}^*(2860)$ and $D_{s3}^*(2860)$, i.e., $1D(2^-)$ and $1D^\prime(2^-)$, are predicted in this work, which are still missing at present. Experimental search for the missing $1D(2^-)$ and $1D^\prime(2^-)$ charmed-strange mesons is an intriguing and challenging task for further experiment., Comment: 8 pages, 3 figures and 4 tables.
