Methylophiopogonanone B (MO-B), which belongs to a group of homoisoflavonoids, present in Ophiopogon japonicus, has been identified as an active component with antioxidative and anti-tumor properties. The present study investigated whether MO-B may exert protective effects on human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) against H2O2-induced injury in vitro, and whether the MO-B effects may be modulated by the NADPH pathway. HUVECs were treated with MO-B in the presence or absence of H2O2. Malondialdehyde (MDA), reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels, and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity were analyzed to evaluate cell injury and the antioxidative potential of MO-B. The results revealed that MO-B inhibited the production of MDA and ROS, but enhanced SOD activity. Furthermore, MO-B could alleviate H2O2-induced apoptosis in HUVECs, which is consistent with the expression of apoptosis-associated genes and proteins in cells, including Bax/Bcl-2 and caspase-3. To explore the potential mechanism, the present study investigated the effects of MO-B on NADPH-related signaling via the analysis of neutrophil cytochrome b light chain (p22phox) expression, which is the membrane-associated subunit of NADPH oxidase. MO-B could improve the survival of endothelial cells and therefore may be a potential drug in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

This paper presents a novel logic locking security assessment method based on linear regression, by means of modeling between the distribution probabilities of key-inputs and observable outputs. The algorithm reveals a weakness of the encrypted circuit since the assessment can revoke the key-inputs within several iterations. The experiment result shows that the proposed assessment can be applied to varies of encrypted combinational benchmark circuits, which exceeds 85% of correctness after revoking the encrypted key-inputs.

A refined selected-codes based test method for pipelined ADC is presented. By selecting a set of specific codes and a self-correction mechanism implementation, the proposed method leverages the redundancy characteristic of the Pipelined ADC to reduce the number of output codes in linearity test after a comprehensive consideration of the comparator offset, capacitance mismatch, gain error, and input noise. Experimental evaluation on a 10-bit 1.5-bit/stage Pipelined ADC as test model has proved that the test data has decreased to 7% compared to the traditional method while maintaining a level of accuracy by minimizing the error of mapping between the comparator and the transition edge. The proposed method efficiently decrease the test cost and heightening the test accuracy.

Logic locking manages different logic gates insertion as key-gates along with the key-inputs after location calculation for IP protection. This paper presents a dominant gate algorithm to achieve the security standard of logic locking, which managed the Hamming Distance(HD) exceed 50% while exempt from the key sensitization concurrently. It shows a comprehensive defense ability from the perspective of the general security standard. The results prove that it can simultaneously maintain the mutual interference of the key-inputs and maximize the ambiguity of the output on various benchmark circuits with a reasonable area overhead below 5%.

The health problems of hospitalized older patients are complicated, with delirium a common neurocognitive disorder in this population. Delirium has been correlated with the longer periods of hospitalization, higher mortality, and higher rates of institutionalization. However, clinical practice guidelines for delirium management in hospitalized older patients are lacking.The purpose of this study was to develop evidence-based practice guidelines for delirium management in hospitalized older patients.A multidisciplinary task group at a medical center in southern Taiwan was established. Team members reviewed current delirium practice guidelines. A revised set of practice guidelines was developed by constructing foreground questions on key issues and by systematically searching, appraising, and synthesizing the relevant evidence. After a new draft of the guidelines was established, the Delphi method was used to reach a consensus among experts. Finally, the developed guideline document was applied in a geriatric ward of a medical center in order to evaluate applicability.The developed delirium guidelines address 3 issues with 35 recommendations. The panel of clinical and methodological experts recommended that these delirium guidelines be applied in practice. Most nurses in the targeted geriatric ward indicated that the guidelines were feasible and easy to implement. However, several of the procedures were identified as difficult to implement, including "provide a therapeutic environment", "promote good sleep patterns and sleep hygiene", and "consider psychotropic medication as a last resort for agitation".The evidence-based delirium management guidelines for hospitalized older patients that were developed in this study integrates the recommendations from the best available evidence and earned a high consensus among clinical experts. Thus, these guidelines are recommended for clinical application.建置住院高齡病人譫妄實證照護指引.住院高齡病人健康問題複雜，其中譫妄為最常見之認知障礙，與住院天數、死亡率及機構化有關。然而，國內目前缺乏高齡譫妄相關照護指引，可供護理人員依循。.以實證為基礎發展住院高齡病人譫妄照護指引。.於南部某醫學中心成立跨領域指引發展小組，透過背景問題建構、系統性文獻回顧與評讀，整合並初擬照護指引。指引初稿經由修正型德菲法專家共識決策後，於高齡照護病房評值臨床通用性，以完成本土譫妄照護指引。.本譫妄照護指引包含三個相關議題及35項建議。方法學與臨床專家對於譫妄指引評價為建議使用。臨床適用性評值部分，護理人員認為大部份的指引建議在臨床上是可行且容易做到的，唯「提供治療性環境」、「促進睡眠措施」與「必要時尋求藥物處置」執行較困難。.本研究發展之「住院高齡病人譫妄實證照護指引」，整合最佳實證證據與專家建議，未來可落實於臨床照護，以維護住院高齡病人照護品質。.

We demonstrated a high-performance Si-organic hybrid heterojunction solar cell utilizing low-temperature and liquid-phase-processed TiO2 as an interlayer between poly(3,4-ethylene dioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) and Si nanoholes to produce a conformal contact on the surface of the Si nanostructure. The hydrophilic TiO2/Si-nanohole surface enabled the PEDOT:PSS to flow into the spacing of the close-packed nanoholes. Scanning electron microscopy images were used to confirm the PEDOT:PSS nanohole filling induced by the TiO2. With forming gas annealing of the double-sided TiO2, high Voc (0.63 V) and Jsc (35.7 mA/cm2) values were obtained, yielding a high power conversion efficiency of 14.7%. The high Voc was attributed to the surface passivation of Si by annealed TiO2. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy investigation at the TiO2/Si interface indicates the TiOx signal decreased and the TiO2 and SiOx signals increased after annealing. Melodinus cochinchinensis (Lour.) Merr. has been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for the management of various ailments, yet its chemical constituents are rarely studied. This study was aimed to isolate terpenoid indole alkaloids (TIAs) from the aerial parts of M. cochinchinensis by the guidance of ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography coupled with a tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS), and to elucidate their cytotoxic, immunosuppressive and anti-inflammatory activities. Eight new TIAs (1 and 5-11) along with 21 previously described analogues were isolated with the basis of molecular networking developed by our previously reported TIAs from the species of Melodinus. The structures of new TIAs were elucidated by the analysis of extensive spectroscopic data. Among the tested isolates, 11-methoxytabersonine (25) exhibited considerable cytotoxic activity against human acute lymphoblastic leukemia (MOLT-4), breast adenocarcinoma (MCF-7), pro-myeloid leukemia (HL-60), lung adenocarcinoma (A-549), and hepatocelluar carcinoma (SMMC-7721) cell lines, which was more effective than the positive control, cisplatin. The 19β-hydroxyvenalstonidine (21) displayed moderate immunosuppressive effect against Con A-induced splenocyte proliferation at 40 μM, while 16,17-dehydro-19S-vindolinine (1) showed potent inhibitory activity on nitric oxide (NO), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) expressions in LPS-induced RAW 264.7 macrophages.

Bandgap enlarged Mg-doped aluminum zinc oxide (Mg-doped AZO) film is a potential transparent conducting oxide for applications in photonics devices. The oxide film normally deposited by sputtering, particularly using ceramic targets, while maintaining its pristine property for the film deposited using metallic targets is rarely addressed. This study investigated the optical and electrical properties of Mg-doped AZO films that were performed by a magnetron reactive co-sputtering method using metallic Mg and Al&ndash, Zn targets. Doping of Mg in the AZO significantly affects the electrical resistivity and optical transmission of the films because Mg tends to replace part of Zn lattice sites. The 1.2 at.% Mg-doped AZO film had an electrical resistivity of 7.9 &times, 10&minus, 4 &Omega, &middot, cm, an optical transmittance of 92.6% in the visible light range, and a bandgap of 3.66 eV when the film was post-annealed at 600 &deg, C. The Mg doping widens the bandgap and, thus, increases the transmittance of the AZO film. Because of the superior electrical and optical characteristics, the Mg-doped AZO films prepared using the metallic targets can be a reliable transparent conducting oxide for applications.

The cascaded multilevel inverter may be the best topology to satisfy continuously increasing capacity and scale of grid-connected photovoltaic generation system due to its modularized circuit layout and sufficiently high operating voltage without devices in series. The operating principle of the cascaded multilevel inverter is presented. The control strategy of carrier phase shift PWM is proposed and discussed in detail. A grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) generation system based on a seven level cascaded inverter is provided. Simulation model of a seven level cascaded inverter with phase shifted PWM is built in Simulink environment and simulation results verify that the cascaded multilevel inverter can output high level voltage without devices in series, reduce harmonics, and output high quality waveforms.

The ability of the agricultural residue of Phragmites australis to serve as an absorbent material used to remove phenol from aqueous solutions in batch and continuous fixed-bed columns was investigated. Prepared adsorbents were characterized by SEM, FTIR, and pHpzc methods. The equilibrium adsorption (qe) of phenol was increased from 9.61 to 29.40 mg/g when the initial phenol concentrations increased from 50 to 150 mg/L. The max adsorption capacity of Phragmites australis was found to be 29.60 mg/g at 30 °C. In column studies, a higher flow rate, higher initial concentration of phenol, and shorter packing layer height increase the column adsorption capacity of phenol. In a batch and continuous fixed-bed column studies, the experiment data was evaluated by some classic models. Fitting degree between the experimental results shows that the pseudo-second-order adsorption kinetics and Langmuir model were the best. Thomas and Yoon-Nelson models were in good agreement with the experimental breakthrough curve data. Both batch and continuous investigation indicated that Phragmites australis could be used as a fine adsorbent to remove phenol and that the adsorption efficiency improved significantly in the column experiment.

Yihe River No. 2 extra large bridge is taken as an example in this paper, from the establishment of control network, the pile foundation to the lofting of caps and other structures, this paper introduces the measurement methods used in the extra large bridge construction process, and how to assure the accuracy of bridge construction in the measurement as well, which provides reference for similar projects.

For the construction of large bridges, it is a very critical and difficult issue to obtain the pre-designed internal force state and geometric alignment through the control on the construction process when they are completed. This paper, according to the real-time monitoring results of the bridge structure in the construction process, assesses the deformation of the main components in primary construction phases as well as whether the variations of stress conform to the design requirements, security of construction process, and working state of structures.

Through analyzing the difficulties in the measurements of Wangling hydropower station’s transmission line, this paper proposes an idea that total station is applied to complete line measurement on the basis of the point guiding alignment measuring technique, which aims at providing a reference for other similar projects.

Guyed hanging basket is qualified with reasonable structure , great carrying ability and clear construction process, and also can provide a good operating space for beam segment construction. Applying cantilever pouring construction with guyed hanging basket should be the development direction of the construction of large-span reinforced concrete cable-stayed bridge. By taking the girder construction of the grand bridge over Beijing-Hangzhou Canal as an example, this paper introduces the measurements in cantilever construction with guyed hanging basket, aiming at providing reference for other similar projects.

The inhibition effect of medium density fiberboard (MDF), particle board, dyed veneer and poplar veneer photochromic coated with water-borne wood paint and wax oil were studied by CIE(1976)L*a*b* color measurement system. The results showed that the specimen surface towards yellowing, lightness reduced, yellow-blue chromatic index rose and color saturation increased. Coating treatment has good inhibition effect on woodiness material photochromic mainly depends on it can significantly inhibit the yellow-blue index increase.

The overlying free film method was used to study the nanoTiO2 and UV absorbing agent modified water-borne acrylic varnish and polyurethane varnish of dyed veneer photochromic suppression effectiveness, using infrared spectrum analyzed the photochromic behavior of dyed veneer under different coated condition. Results showed that dyed veneer covered with UV modification film has the best light restraint, film modified by nanoTiO2 takes second place, and unmodified film worst. Photochromic inhibitory rate of UV modified polyurethane and acrylic paint film were 56.37% and 33.59% respectively, the rate of nanoTiO2 was 15.85% and 17.24%.

The dyeing effects of atmospheric pressure impregnation method on thick Birch and Elm veneer under bleached and unbleached treatment were discussed in this paper, as well as the color changes and influencing factors analyzed by CIE(1976)L*a*b*color system. The results showed that it was feasible to dye the thick Birch veneer using red acid GR under unbleached treatment and both the color saturation and gloss met the requirements while disperse dyes were not suitable for the thick veneer because of the general results, poor penetration, and low uptake rate. The dyeing effect on Elm was not satisfactory so that it was not recommended as dyeing wood while its better material quality made it better for furniture.
