The study aimed at identifying students' preferred conflict resolution styles and their relation to students' sex, grade point average and faculty at The Hashemite University in Jordan. The descriptive method was used. The data of the study were collected through a questionnaire. The sample of the study consisted of 360 students. The results showed that students used cooperation, compromise, and avoiding respectively in a high degree respectively. Also, the results revealed that there were no statistically significant differences in students' preferred conflict resolution styles due to their sex, grade point average and faculty. In light of the study results, the researcher recommended providing educational programs to students focusing on skills such as tolerance, critical thinking, teamwork, communication, negotiation, dialogue, decision making, problem solving, and resilience to reduce the possibility for their resort to (forcing) as a preferred conflict resolution style.

In this study, it is aimed to examine the predictive effect of the meaning in life on psychological wellbeing and happiness in university students. In the study, it was also investigated whether there was a significant difference between the meaning in life, psychological well-being and happiness scores in terms of gender. The study population of the research consists of students studying at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Faculty of Education in the fall semester of the 2021-2022 academic year. The study group consisted of a total of 323 students, 236 (73.1%) g rls and 87 (26.9%) boys, aged between 20 and 26 (x 21.62), selected w th the conven ence sampl ng method, one of the non-random sampling methods. In the study personal information form, Short form of Oxford Happiness Questionnaire, Psychological Well-Being Scale and Meaning in Life Questionnaire were used as data collection tools. According to the findings obtained from the study, the meaning in life predicted students' psychological well-being at a significant level; it was seen that the meaning in life explained about 30% of the total variance in students' psychological well-being scores. In addition, the meaning in life predicted the happiness level of students at a significant level; it was seen that the meaning in life explained about 23% of the total variance in the happiness scores of the students in a meaningful way. Finally, it was found that there was no significant difference between the meaning in life, happiness and psychological well-being scores of the students according to their gender.

In recent years, efforts to transform scientific information produced in basic sciences into technology to facilitate daily life have been increasing. In this sense, the perspective of entrepreneurship gains importance in basic sciences. This study aims analyze documents published on entrepreneurship in basic sciences (physics, chemistry, biology) using a bibliometric review. For this aim, the bibliometric analysis method based on the systematic literature review approach was used. Systematic review was carried out in the WoS database. A total of 428 documents (1994-2020) on entrepreneurship in basic sciences in the WoS were retrieved. The bibliometric analysis results were presented under two main categories as descriptive (numbers of documents according to year, author, country, organization, source, research area, WoS category area) and evaluative results (co-occurrence, co-authorship, citation analysis). Descriptive results were displayed with frequency values, and evaluative results were displayed using VOSviewer visualization software. As a result, it was determined that there is an important increase in the number of documents towards 2020. In addition, it was determined that the most productive, influential, and collaborative author is Jardim-Goncalves R, the most productive country is the USA, the most productive journal is Journal of Technology Transfer, and the most productive organization is Old Dominion University. Moreover, it has been determined that the most influential area in terms of research area is "business economics" and the most keyword co-occurrences are "entrepreneurship", "design science" and "academic entrepreneurship".

The primary objective of this research is to explore the factors contributing to voluntary dropout in higher education, and to suggest improvements for areas identified as deficient, drawing upon the views of students enrolled in the Management Information Systems Department. Utilizing a basic qualitative research design, this investigation was undertaken. The data were compiled using semi-structured interview forms, devised by the researchers. The study employed a purposive sampling technique, focusing on a sample group of 21 students from the Management Information Systems Department at State University. This group included students who had successfully transferred laterally, those who had attempted to but were unable to make such a transfer, and those who expressed a desire to do so in the future. Data collected were scrutinized through content analysis. Understanding the motives and implications of voluntary dropout is crucial in formulating educational policies with the intent of enhancing the quality of higher education, optimizing the utilization of resources allocated for education, and mitigating the adverse effects of school dropout. The study's findings suggest that factors such as the university's reputation, the opportunities it provides, personal and financial considerations, and the geographical location of the institution, significantly influence students' decisions to pursue lateral transfers. The purpose of this study is to examine the level of social media addiction among university students. The research was conducted during the spring semester of the 2022-2023 academic year with 386 students from both public and private/foundation universities. In this descriptive research, the "Social Media Addiction Scale" developed by Tutgun-Ünal and Deniz (2015) and the "Personal Information Form" developed by the researcher were utilized. Participants voluntarily joined the study, and data was collected online. Data was analyzed using the SPSS software, employing statistical methods (frequency, t-test, and ANOVA) appropriate for the research objectives. The findings suggest that students generally exhibit a low level of addiction to social media (slightly addicted), but demonstrate a moderate level of addiction in terms of engagement and mood regulation dimensions. The study found that gender does not affect social media addiction, but age and type of university do influence addiction levels. Notably, students from private or foundational universities showed higher addiction levels compared to those from public universities. Moreover, an increase in time spent on social media correlates with an increase in addiction level. These findings contribute to a better understanding of university students' social media usage habits.

Background/purpose: The pandemic threatened education through two significant shocks: the closing of educational institutions across all levels and the financial recession. This overnight shift from face-to-face to an online mode of education became the reason for various physical, mental, and financial challenges faced by both learners and educators alike. This study investigates the perception of Secondary School Certificate (SSC-level) learners in Pakistan regarding online teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic. Materials/methods: A qualitative research strategy was adopted, with semi-structured interviews conducted via Zoom with 15 SSC learners from renowned schools in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, Pakistan. Structured inductive data analysis technique was adopted in the analysis of the collected data. Results: The study's results highlighted problems experienced by SSC-level learners in online classes via Zoom and Google Classroom. These related to technology, personal, and educator issues such as technical problems, adaptability struggles, computer literacy, lack of motivation, poor grades, inability to focus, homesickness, disorganization, skipping classes, failure to dedicate appropriate time to studies, technology shortages, poor sleep habits, lack of routine, power failures due to extreme weather, and uncertainty about the future and fear of SSC final exams. Conclusion: This study will help policymakers from Pakistan's Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education System to focus more on development, technology, communication, and support programs, especially for high school learners.

Bullous pemphigoid (BP) is an autoimmune bullous disease commonly seen in adult population but rarely encountered in the pediatric population. Although the exact etiology of BP remains unclear, various vaccines, infectious agents, and drug use have been blamed in the etiology of BP. Here, we present a 14-year-old patient who developed BP after using metamizole and whose diagnosis was clinically and histopathologically confirmed.

This paper explores the adoption of an entangled eclecticism perspective in Learning Experience Design (LXD), integrating a sociotechnical-pedagogical systems approach. It emphasizes the significance of considering the sociocultural, technological, and pedagogical dimensions of learning as a cohesive, interconnected ecology to design effective learning experiences. The authors discuss the implications of this perspective on learning outcomes, methodologies, and the selection of relevant theories for design. The aim is to guide the creation of learning experiences that are not only effective, efficient, and appealing but also deeply empathetic, culturally sensitive, and responsive to the evolving dynamics of learning environments. Concluding that LXD is a complementary approach to traditional learning design, the paper underscores its evolution, drawing from multiple traditions to offer a holistic framework for educational design and technology. This approach strives for learning experiences that are not just effective and efficient, but also culturally sensitive and empathetic, adapting to the dynamic nature of learning environments. Broader implications of this approach and directions for future research are discussed.

Present-day science indicates that developing sensors with excellent sensitivity and selectivity for detecting early signs of diseases is highly desirable. Electrochemical sensors offer a method for detecting diseases that are simpler, faster, and more accurate than conventional laboratory analysis methods. Primarily, exploiting non-noble-metal nanomaterials with excellent conductivity and large surface area is still an area of active research due to its highly sensitive and selective catalysts for electrochemical detection in enzyme-free sensors. In this research, we successfully fabricate Metal-Organic Framework (MOF) FeBDC-derived Fe3O4 for non-enzymatic electrochemical detection of glucose. FeBDC synthesis was carried out using the solvothermal method. FeCl2.4H2O and Benzene-1,4-dicarboxylic acid (H2BDC) are used as precursors to form FeBDC. The materials were further characterized utilizing X-ray Powder Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). The resulting MOF yields good crystallinity and micro-rod like morphology. Electrochemical properties were tested using Cyclic Voltammetry (CV) and Differential Pulse Voltammetry (DPV) with a 0.1 M of Phosphate Buffer Saline (PBS pH 7.4) solution as the supporting electrolyte. The measurement results show the reduction and oxidation peaks in the CV curve of FeBDC, as well as Fe3O4. Pyrolysis of FeBDC to Fe3O4 increases the peak of oxidation and reduction currents. The Fe3O4 sample obtained has a sensitivity of 4.67 µA mM−1.cm−2, a linear range between 0.0 to 9.0 mM, and a glucose detection limit of 15.70 µM.

Estudos que visam avaliar se as quantidades de potássico aplicadas estão sendo aproveitadas para melhorar a fertilidade do solo e se têm influência na produtividade das hortaliças são de extrema importância para o adequado manejo da adubação potássica. Neste sentido, objetivou avaliar os efeitos da época de aplicação e de doses de fertilizantes potássicos na produtividade da cultura do rabanete. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi o de blocos casualizados em esquema fatorial 2 x 5 com quatro repetições. Os tratamentos resultaram da combinação de duas épocas de aplicação (semeadura e cobertura) e cinco doses de potássio (0, 30, 60, 90 e 120 kg ha-1), na forma de cloreto de potássio. A colheita foi realizada 20 dias após a semeadura do rabanete. As variáveis avaliadas foram: índice relativo de clorofila, concentração de potássio nas folhas, comprimento de raízes, diâmetro de raízes, matéria fresca da parte área, matéria seca da parte aérea e raiz. As épocas de aplicação de potássio influenciaram no desenvolvimento e produtividade de rabanete. As doses de potássio influenciam na concentração de K nas folhas e índice relativo de clorofila nas folhas de rabanete.

The main goal of this research is to develop a measurement tool that will determine the beliefs that guide school administrators' practices based on X and Y theory and the relationships between of level of these beliefs and other variables that school administrators use in management practices. The theory was tested with the scale developed in the research. Furthermore, the levels of school administrators' beliefs, which are assumed to guide their practices based on X and Y theory, were revealed in the research using data obtained during the scale development study; it was determined whether the demographic variables of school administrators differed according to the subscale (X and Y subscale) scores. Relational and causal comparison strategies were used in this quantitatively constructed investigation. Research data were collected from three sample groups in the Erzurum sample. It has been determined that there is a significant difference in the X theory subscale score in favour of school administrators working in primary schools. The study concluded that, based on X-Y theory, the assumptions of school administrators that shape management practices could be determined by the School Administrators' Beliefs in the Nature of Human Scale.

Models of bottom-up visual attention such as the "saliency map" predict overt gaze under laboratory conditions while subjects view static images or videos while seated. Here, we show that the saliency map model predicts gaze at similar rates even when applied to video from a head-camera as part of a wearable eye-tracking system (Tobii Pro Glasses 2) while subjects drive an automobile or are passively driven while sitting in the front passenger-side seat. The ability of saliency to predict gaze varies depending on the driving task (saliency better predicts passenger gaze) and external conditions (saliency better predicts gaze at night). We further demonstrate that predictive performance is improved when the head-camera video is transformed to retinal coordinates before feeding it to the saliency model.

Bullous hemorrhagic dermatosis induced by enoxaparin is a rare, self-limiting, cutaneous adverse reaction causing no complications. In this report, we present a case where bullous hemorrhagic dermatosis developed at a location distant from the site of injection after using enoxaparin for 5 days for pulmonary venous thrombosis.
