In this paper, a near-field coupled resonator antenna element is presented for power transfer applications. We propose an anchor shaped geometry that represents a combination of electric dipole and magnetic loop to realize stronger coupling over misaligned distances between the source and receiver antenna. The resonator was prototyped on textile substrate for wearable applications. A full-wave simulation of the power transfer efficiency is presented and compared with single-loop of the same size. The lateral misalignments are studied, and it is demonstrated that anchor-shaped resonators offer 80-90 % power transfer efficiency for misalignments as large as 70% of antenna lateral size. Simulation studies and measurement results are presented.
