Abstract

In this paper, we propose a Generalized Multi-Bernoulli Filter for Track-before-detect (GMB-TBD) of objects from image observations when the objects' influence regions are overlapping. We analyze the overlapping objects' measurement likelihood function, estimate this likelihood function by predicted objects' states and eliminate the objects' overlapping influence on objects' states updating using this estimation. In this filter, the predicted and updated objects' states are strictly assumed as Multi-Bernoulli RFS(Random Finite Set), so it's a truly Multi-Bernoulli based TBD filter and it can be used under either the objects' influence region overlapping or non-overlapping situations. We give the filter's realization steps, prune and extract the objects' tracks by labeling the Multi-Bernoulli components. Lastly, we test the GMB-TBD filter's performance by computer Monte-Carlo simulations.

Abstract

Cloud data center traffic is experiencing a rapid growth as more and more data-intensive applications are required to process big data in a cloud data center. Although fat-tree networks own rich path multiplicity, and have been widely adopted as network topologies in cloud data center networks to transmit vast bisection bandwidth, they lead to bandwidth-related bottlenecks. To address this issue, in this paper, we propose a traffic-aware virtual cluster reallocation approach via biogeography-based optimization to allocate some reallocated virtual machines (VMs) as compact as possible with those VMs in the same virtual clusters. In order to validate our approach, we build a system model to perform a thorough evaluation of its performance. Experimental results show that our proposed approach outperforms six existed approaches in term of total transmission cost, total processing time, and total network resource consumption. Abstract

Buchwald-Hartwig amination of aryl halides with solvent-free condition was used for the preparation of electron donors with high density of electron cloud. Organic second order nonlinear optical chromophore ZML-c based on this electron donor was designed and synthesized. And chromophore ZML-ref without modified groups was also prepared as the contrast. Their delocalized energy levels were estimated by UV–Vis. spectra. Their thermal properties were studied by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Obviously, chromophore ZML-c showed lower delocalized energy levels and lower thermal decomposition temperature (just about 160 °C). The poled films showed the largest electro-optic (EO) coefficients of 23.5 pm/V and 10.6 pm/V respectively for chromophore ZML-c and ZML-ref. These results indicate that effective modification in indole ring may be a promising way to drastically change the electro-optical features of the titled compounds and show a direction of designing new electron donor in the field of nonlinear optical materials. Abstract

Organic nonlinear optical materials have been widely explored because of their advantages in the design of materials with large electro-optic coefficients used in the fabrication of novel optoelectronic and telecommunication devices. However, the huge dipole-dipole interactions between organic nonlinear optical chromophores have limited further improvements in the electro-optic coefficients and long-term material stability. Here, a novel polymer based on poly(aryl ether ketone) was designed and prepared to enhance the electro-optic coefficients and achieve higher long-term stability. This novel poly(aryl ether ketone) has a relatively high glass transition temperature and offers active functional groups for the attachment of organic nonlinear optical chromophores. After attachment of nonlinear optical chromophores the materials showed higher chromophore loading density, less inter-molecular interaction, and suitable solubility. This resulted in better film-forming ability, higher electro-optics coefficients and better long-term stability. Quantum chemical simulations of the second order hyperpolarizabilities and ground sate dipole moments were done to understand the origin of the effects. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

In some complex control system, the performance of data acquisition system has a direct impact of the performance index of the whole control system, so it has the important significance that research the accurate assessment method of data acquisition system. This paper put forward a performance quantitative method of data acquisition system based on model identification. Its basic idea is as follows: treating transverse impact response of finite length units (FIR) filter as system model to obtain the system characteristics of the sinusoidal signal amplitude and phase shift characteristics as indexes. In the system identification, the channel parameters of system is iterated by the least mean square (LMS) algorithm, equate the output of system in response to sinusoidal signal. and obtain the transmission characteristic of the sinusoidal signal of data acquisition system; Finally, the simulation test of the algorithm is performed by the computer software, experimental results show that LMS reflects accurately the data acquisition characteristic of system, and provides a good analysis way for performance appraisal of acquisition system.
