Abstract

The current acupuncture's treatment efficacy for FD rely exclusively on subjective patient reports and not on objective biomarkers.Therefore, multimodal assessment of the brain’s structure, function and biochemical and receptor properties has the potential to provide more objective information about pathophysiology, treatment efficacy and biologically based patient subgroups in these conditions by elucidating the contribution of multiple brain networks to the subjective symptom reports. Indeed, numerous studies examining brain processing of visceral sensations have been published in an attempt to identify biomarkers of FD.

Abstract

The axial and radial load capacity of axial hybrid magnetic bearing (HMB) is critical for the magnetic levitation system. In this paper, the effect of permanent magnet (PM) position on axial and radial magnetic force and stiffness in axial HMB is investigated. Six different configurations are considered and the equivalent magnetic circuits of HMBs for each configuration is built and studied based on the distribution of magnetic field and magnetic leakage. The dependence of axial and radial magnetic force and stiffness on the axial displacement, radial displacement and control current is calculated and investigated for different configurations. To validate the calculated results, the axial and radial magnetic forces for each configuration are simulated by finite element method. A good agreement between the calculated and simulated results validated the proposed magnetic circuit models.

Abstract

Aiming at the complicated operation, time-consuming, incomplete hydrolysis and unstable hydrolysis products of enzymatic hydrolysis, we have established a microwave hydrolysis-liquid chromatography-atomic fluorescence spectrometry method for the determination of selenoamino acids in selenoproteins. After microwave hydrolysis with HC1(6 mol/L),the sample was adjusted to pH value of 7.5, then the selenocystine (SeCys2), Se-methylselenocysteine (MeSeCys) and selenomethionine (SeMet) were separated by anion chromatography with pH = 6.0,40 mmol/L (NH4)2HPO4 solution as mobile phase, flow rate at 0.7 mL/min and isocratic elution for 12 min, and the corresponding concentration were detected with an atomic florescence spectrometer. The microwave hydrolysis conditions are optimized by star point design-response surface method. The optimal hydrolysis conditions are as follows: weighing 20 mg, hydrolysis temperature 150 °C, hydrolysis time 40 min. The SeCys2, MeSeCys and SeMet showed a linear relationship in the concentration range of 0-100 ng, the correlation coefficients were all greater than 0.999, the detection limit was 0.07, 0.03 and 0.14 mg/kg, respectively, and the RSD was 5.6%, 4.6%, 3.7% (n= 6), respectively. It has the advantages of short time-consuming, low cost, complete hydrolysis, simple operation and stable hydrolysate. It can scientifically evaluate the composition of selenoamino acids in selenoproteins, and provides a scientific method for the quality control and traceability of selenoprotein products. Abstract

Typhoon disasters may cause power outages in a large area of users. It is quite important to conduct power outage risk assessment in advance and make adequate preparations for emergency decision-making. Starting from the procedure of risk assessment under typhoon disasters: predicting wind speed, calculating wind-induced failure probability, generating fault set, and calculating failure consequences and risks, this paper summarized methods for wind field model, failure analysis methods, and the manifestations of failure consequences in risk assessment. Then we compared the pros and cons for these methods, respectively. The conclusion is that combining software to process higher-resolution wind speed data and considering random wind field, using data mining statistical models to compute and judge fault status and actively calculating pre-typhoon failure risk will become future trend.

Abstract

The ever-increasing environmental risks posed by nanoplastics (NPs) have been drawing more concerns to their biological effects, but with limited information on pathogenic bacteria. This work reported the alterations in bacteriological properties of Escherichia coli O157:H7(E. coli O157:H7) under exposure to polystyrene (PS) NPs of different sizes. Results found that E. coli O157:H7growth was promoted by the addition of PS-NPs. At environmentally relevant exposure levels, E. coli O157:H7underwent metabolic adaptation after different PS-NP treatments, showing differentiated responsive volatile metabolic features. Moreover, enzymatic activity analysis suggested that E. coli O157:H7could address PS-NP-induced oxidative stress mainly viasupporting glutathione (GSH) synthesis. Furthermore, it could fuel the TCA cycle through highly expressing regulatory enzymes as well with a greater response to small PS-NPs. Also, there was an observed increase in the expression of the AcrAB-TolCefflux pump after the treatment of PS below 100 nm and with a possible consequence of heightening E. coli O157:H7resistance. Together, our findings provided the first look into the potential implications mediated by PS nanoparticles on E. coli O157:H7growth and development and in turn emphasized a potential increased contamination of E. coli O157:H7as a waterborne pathogen in PS-NP polluted water.

200. Blockchain-based collaborative intrusion detection scheme

Abstract

The collaborative intrusion detection technique is an effective solution to protect users from various cyber-attacks, among which the large-scale trusted sharing and real-time updating of attack instances are the main challenges. However, the existing collaborative intrusion detection systems (CIDS) either can only achieve real-time instance sharing in a centralised setting or implement large-scale instance sharing through blockchain. In this paper, we propose a novel blockchain-based CIDS scheme. Specifically, we present a reputation-based consensus protocol, which incentivises service providers (SP) to evaluate the attack instances collected from collectors and punishes the malicious evaluators. Then, only trusted attack instances will be published on the blockchain to provide large-scale trusted intrusion detection services. Furthermore, we introduce a redactable blockchain technique to achieve dynamic instances update, which enables our scheme to provide a real-time intrusion detection service. Finally, we demonstrate the practicality of the proposed scheme through security analysis, theoretical analysis and performance evaluation.
