BACKGROUND: Young breast cancer survivors (YBCS) have unmet needs for managing hot flashes, fertility-related concerns, sexual health, and contraception. PURPOSE: Describe the design and participant characteristics of a randomized controlled trial testing the efficacy of the survivorship care plan on reproductive health (SCP-R) intervention on improving hot flashes, fertility-related concerns, sexual health, and contraception in YBCS. METHODS: SCP-R is a web-based intervention with text message support encompassing evidence- based practices on four reproductive health issues. YBCS with ≥1 reproductive health issue are randomized to intervention (full SCP-R access) or attention control (access to list of online resources) arms with 24-week follow-up. The primary outcome will be improvement of at least one reproductive health issue measured by validated self-report instruments. Each YBCS nominated one healthcare provider (HCP), who can access the same materials as their patient. HCP outcomes are preparedness and confidence in discussing each issue. RESULTS: Among 318 YBCS screened, 57.2% underwent randomization. Mean age was 40.0 (SD 5.9), and mean age at cancer diagnosis was 35.6 (SD 5.4). Significant hot flashes, fertility-related concerns, vaginal symptoms, and inadequate contraception were reported by 50.5%, 50%, 46.7%, 62.1% of YBCS, respectively; 70.9% had multiple issues. Among 165 nominated HCPs, 32.7% enrolled. The majority of HCPs reported preparedness (68.5-90.7%) and confidence (50.0-74.1%) in discussing reproductive health issues with YBCS. HCPs were least likely to report preparedness or confidence in discussing fertility-related concerns. CONCLUSION: Conducting a trial for improving YBCS reproductive health online is feasible, providing a mechanism to disseminate evidence-based management.

PurposeDespite the numerous benefits of physical activity (PA) for patients with cancer, many cancer survivors report challenges to participating in PA. The objectives of this study were (1) to assess barriers to PA and (2) to examine participant characteristics associated with modifiable barriers to PA among cancer survivors with pain.MethodsWe conducted a cross-sectional survey study at one academic medical center and 11 community hospitals. Participants completed the 12-item Physical Activity Barriers After Cancer (PABAC) instrument (Cronbach's alpha = 0.75). Multivariable regression models examined participant characteristics associated with PABAC scores with a higher score indicating more barriers to PA.ResultsAmong 662 survivors, 67% had moderate or severe pain (rating 4 or greater on a scale of 0 to 10). This article is a study on the physical properties of the scraper under torsion. At first, the process of the scraper conveyor passing through the curved section of the conveyor is analyzed, and then on this basis, the bending moment and the additional resistance of the curved section are analyzed with the aid of a computer based on the dynamic model. Introduce the Voigt elastic viscosity model as a processing method, establish the model, and then use MATLAB programming to realize the pre-processing of the analysis. Finally, through data simulation, the characteristic data of the system（torsion, vibration, speed, etc.） under different material loading conditions at different positions of the scraper through the bending section are obtained. The analysis results show that when the scraper passes through the bending section, the system will produce a certain torsional vibration; for the presence or absence of materials, the scraper can be regarded as being in the load and no-load stages. The torsional vibration intensity is more pronounced under no-load conditions than when the front and rear are loaded; for the entire scraper, when it passes through the bending section, the closer the scraper chain system（swing, vibration, Speed, etc.） the more significant the feature changes.

In the paper, the suction device of linear compressor is taken as the research object, and aiming at the transverse bending problem of suction valve plate of linear compressor, the structural control equation of suction valve plate is constructed according to elastic mechanics and plate and shell mechanics. Based on the basic theory of fluid-solid coupling, the fluid control equation, structural control equation and fluid-solid coupling equation are established. Based on 3 D dynamic mesh and UDF（User Defined Function） technology, the bidirectional fluid-solid coupling simulation model of suction device of linear compressor is established, and the performance test experiment of linear compressor is carried out. The flow field characteristics and mechanical behavior of suction device under unidirectional and bidirectional fluid-solid coupling are studied by taking the optimal inlet temperature and inlet pressure obtained from the experiment result as the simulation boundary conditions. The simulation results show that unidirectional and bidirectional fluid-solid coupling are essentially different. In the simulation of unidirectional fluid-solid coupling flow field, the valve plate will not open, but in the bidirectional, a pressure gradient exists between the valve channel and the piston cavity in the bidirectional fluid-solid coupling, while the unidirectional it doesn’t, and the bidirectional fluid-solid coupling simulation is closer to the actual situation, The results can provide theoretical guidance for the structural design and topology optimization of valve plate and suction device.

Cu–Mn–Ce ternary mixed oxides, prepared via the citric acid complex method and supported on cordierite, were investigated for their catalytic activity in the oxidation of chlorobenzene. The impact of various reaction conditions, including chlorobenzene concentration, GHSV, water vapor and HCl, was thoroughly investigated to analyze oxidative activity, stability, and anti-poisoning ability. Among the catalysts tested, those with 20 wt% CuMnOx and 10 wt% CeO2, calcined at 450 °C for 4 h with one step, exhibited the highest apparent activity with T90 < 300 °C in the feed containing 500ppm chlorobenzene at a space velocity of 10,000 h−1. Notably, Cu–Mn–Ce–O exhibited a stable and effective catalyst performance for the oxidation of chlorinated aromatics under low water vapor (< 5%) and HCl (2%) concentrations. Further insights into the oxidation process were gained via in-situ FTIR spectroscopy and GC–MS analysis. The exceptional performance of Cu–Mn–Ce–O was attributed to the incorporation of CeO2, resulting in a lower H2 reduction peak, smaller particle size, abundant surface active oxygen, and a higher specific surface area. To understand the reaction mechanism, the relationship between inlet and outlet gas compounds and the reaction temperature over Cu–Mn–Ce–O was studied, revealing the presence of NO/NOx during the reaction at temperature up to 300 °C. Vascular dementia (VD) a heterogenous group of brain disorders in which cognitive impairment is attributable to vascular risk factors and cerebrovascular disease. A common phenomenon in VD is a dysfunctional cerebral regulatory mechanism associated with insufficient cerebral blood flow, ischemia and hypoxia. Under hypoxic conditions oxygen supply to the brain results in neuronal death leading to neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer's (AD) and VD. In conditions of hypoxia and low oxygen perfusion, expression of hypoxia-inducible factor 1 alpha (HIF-1α) increases under conditions of low oxygen and low perfusion associated with upregulation of expression of hypoxia-upregulated mitochondrial movement regulator (HUMMR), which promotes anterograde mitochondrial transport by binding with trafficking protein kinesin 2 (TRAK2). Schisandrin B (Sch B) an active component derived from Chinese herb Wuweizi prevented β-amyloid protein induced morphological alterations and cell death using a SH-SY5Y neuronal cells considered an AD model. It was thus of interest to determine whether Sch B might also alleviate VD using a rat bilateral common carotid artery occlusion (BCAO) dementia model. The aim of this study was to examine the effects of Sch B in BCAO on cognitive functions such as Morris water maze test and underlying mechanisms involving expression of HIF-1α, TRAK2, and HUMMR levels. The results showed that Sch B improved learning and memory function of rats with VD and exerted a protective effect on the hippocampus by inhibition of protein expression of HIF-1α, TRAK2, and HUMMR factors. This article realizes an adaptive finite‐time sampled‐data output‐feedback stabilization for a class of fractional‐order nonlinear systems with unmodeled dynamics and unavailable states. K‐filters are constructed to estimate unavailable states, a dynamic signal is introduced to handle unmodeled dynamics and neural networks were used to approximate uncertain nonlinearities existed in stabilizer construction. With the help of backstepping technique, an adaptive sampled‐data output‐feedback stabilizer is exported, and such stabilizer with allowable design parameters and sampling period can render the corresponding closed‐loop system reaches practically finite‐time stable, which can be demonstrated by means of selected Lyapunov function candidates. Modern society relies on high charge mobility for efficient energy production and fast information technologies. The power factor of a material-the combination of electrical conductivity and Seebeck coefficient-measures its ability to extract electrical power from temperature differences. Recent advancements in thermoelectric materials have achieved enhanced Seebeck coefficient by manipulating the electronic band structure. However, this approach generally applies at relatively low conductivities, preventing the realization of exceptionally high-power factors. In contrast, half-Heusler semiconductors have been shown to break through that barrier in a way that could not be explained. Here, we show that symmetry-protected orbital interactions can steer electron-acoustic phonon interactions towards high mobility. This high-mobility regime enables large power factors in half-Heuslers, well above the maximum measured values. We anticipate that our understanding will spark new routes to search for better thermoelectric materials, and to discover high electron mobility semiconductors for electronic and photonic applications.

PurposeReproductive-aged breast cancer survivors (BCS) who have completed initial cancer treatment frequently want to know about their future fertility potential. The purpose of this qualitative study was to assess if the fertility-related content presented in the survivorship care plan prototype met the informational needs of post-treatment BCS and to provide an opportunity for the target audience to review and react to the proposed content and design.MethodsWe conducted and analyzed transcripts from seven focus groups with BCS to evaluate their reactions to the survivorship care plan prototype. We independently coded transcripts for consistent themes and sub-themes and used a consensus-building approach to agree on interpretation of results.ResultsWe identified five themes that describe the post-treatment BCS' responses to the prototype survivorship care plan in the context of their informational needs and experiences: (1) the prototype's fertility-related information is relevant; (2) desire for clinical parameters to help survivors understand their infertility risk; (3) fertility-related information is important throughout survivorship; (4) evidence-based content from a neutral source is trustworthy; and (5) the recommendation to see a fertility specialist is helpful, but cost is a barrier.ConclusionsBCS have concerns and needs related to their fertility potential after initial breast cancer treatment. The evidence-based information offered in our prototype survivorship care plan was acceptable to BCS and has significant potential to address these needs. Additional primary data that identify post-cancer treatment indicators of fertility would advance this effort.
